  1. IC: Past Viltia #1 - Toa NUVA of the Green Location - Near Le-Metru Nuva, Vuata Maca Tree Viltia was in jaw-dropping awe. Plank upon plank of wood boards fell to the ground, descriptions of the event as it happened carved into them. There was no way she was going to forget this amazing moment. She was beaming, joy filling her. She had never realized the Vuata Maca Tree had so much potential. But then a change came over it that she never would have expected. A mind formed, it reached out to her, it spoke! Viltia reached out a hand to touch the tree, marveling at its transformation. A final board dropped to the ground describing the momentous event. She spoke back, “Hello! I’m Viltia. But I’m also from the past, so at any moment-” She disappeared. OOC: @Eyru IC: Forgemaster Viltia NUVA - Toa NUVA of the Green Location - Kini-Nui, Twekohui’s Bunker With - Muaka NUVA Proxima The hatch sealed closed behind her, cutting off her powers from the outside world. Viltia wanted to wait for her past self to show back up and report what had happened, but Twekohui was really hurting himself trying to get free. So Viltia unmerged, her Muaka seemingly uncomfortable in the tight space even though the seat conformed to him. Although it didn’t accept him as a co-pilot. Viltia connected to the mind of the mech, feeling its pain and anger. With a thought, the wood in the bunker was absorbed. It abated back into the mech like it was cotton candy in water. With shuddering steps, the mech crouch-walked from the bunker, the golden ichor ceasing from its jaws as it did so. On its mind was one thing, slaying the Rite-born it sensed. It stood tall, gripping its weapon in its large hands. Viltia turned the mech’s head to the south, and with a rush of air filling in a vacuum in space, it teleported away. It took a couple teleports to reach her destination without the help of Flight or Levitation. But very quickly Twekohui settled down as he left where Zataka and her Zivons were. As she approached Le-Metru Nuva, Viltia looked up in awe. Where her village was, a new tree grew, a new canopy above the others. It had to be 150 feet tall at least. It looked like the Vuata Maca Tree, but this tree had leaves. But… She looked closer, Vuata Maca Fruit hung from its many branches, glowing along with the silver of the tree. What had past her done? Well, she didn’t have time to find out. She needed to get back to Kini-Nui and help out Zataka. Viltia parked Twekohui next to where Sidra usually kept her own mech. Massive trees grew around his limbs to lock him up, though the bindings were not as secure as they had been in the bunker. This would keep him from roaming, but not stop him from going to fight a Rite-born that he might sense. Opening the hatch between the shoulders, three past Viltias climbed out, newly summoned and given directions. Present Viltia merged with her Muaka and flew into the sky, teleporting back to Kini-Nui and the bunker she had just come from. OOC: @Vezok's Friend IC: Past Viltia #1 - Toa NUVA of the Green Location - Le-Metru Nuva, Vauta Maca Tree Past Viltia #1 stepped into what had once been a clearing. Instead many plants flourished under the watchful gaze of the newly sentient Vuata Maca Tree. She looked at the tree with her mouth hung open. How could a tree be alive just like her? She picked up the boards one of her past selves had inscribed upon, reading the tale of what had transpired here. Okay. It made sense now that she realized she had used pure energized protodermis. She reached out to the tree, “Sorry I had to leave. I’m still a past me, but I won’t be going anywhere for a while.” OOC: @Eyru IC: Past Viltia #2 & #3 - Toa NUVA of the Green Location - Under the Aqua Sphere With - Kilo-M9, Jutori As she flew, Past Viltia #2 looked down at the wood card in her hand. It read “Carefully check out what’s up with Aqua Sphere. Make sure Sorilax stays safe if you can.” She went over plans in her head, trying to figure out the best way to stay safe while still being able to help out. She couldn’t let present her down by getting hurt. She turned to the other Past Viltia that was her backup to stay safe. They talked for a bit, bouncing ideas back and forth. For the most part they just ended up having the same ideas. Very quickly the planning turning into talking about all the new beings they had just met. But as they approached closer to the floating sphere, they noticed something down below. It was a Kaita mech. And it was just standing there. They flew down. As they did, they spotted a newly familiar form. It was that Krahli NUVA, looking up into the sky. And judging by her Life sensing, a Toa NUVA Proxima was with him. Seeing an opportunity to use her Legendary power of Growth, Past Viltia #2 two started to grow in size until she reached her full, massive, 120 foot height, taller even than the Kaita mech before her. Using her Kraata of Density Control, her innate power of Levitation, and her now gigantic tethers, she gently landed beside the mech. Past Viltia #3 landed on #2’s enlarged shoulder and called out to the fellow NUVA, “Hey, if you’re thinking of going to the Aqua Sphere, you may want to be careful. There’s bad beings up there. And the Admin apparently has ‘bugs’ or something. At the very least it’s acting weird.” OOC: @pokemonlover360 @Tarn IC: Cravious NUVA - Skakdi NUVA of Lightning, Mind Reading and Quick Healing Location - Ash Barrens With - Whira Cravious went through the Kanoka forging book three times and found nothing on a Great Disc of Creation or even a disc that could outright create things. The closest thing was a Kanoka of Conjuring, which was very dangerous if used and was exclusively turned into Kanohi. This wasn’t a book on Kanohi, but thankfully there was a small picture of what the Kanohi would look like and a very short, not very descriptive description of its powers. The image was the only one out of the whole book that even remotely resembled his new organic-looking Kanohi NUVA, so he decided to take a chance and try to use the “Ability to program allowable powers with good enough weaknesses to avoid mental backlash.” He started small, activating the power of the mask in his mind as he would his vision powers. Its power expanded in his head and felt like it was waiting for something. He spoke, “Grant me the power to elongate either of my arms. Weakness: the opposite arm gets shorter.” Cravious grit his teeth, awaiting the mental backlash and steeling himself for it. Instead a voice spoke into his mind, Input accepted. His arms tingled for a moment and then he felt a new power in them. He slowly smiled. Carefully, he extended his right arm. It stretched out like rubber, his left arm shortening in direct relation to it. He laughed, not harshly, but genuinely. He let go of the power of the Kanohi and it shut off, his arms returning to normal. He immediately tried to program another power, but the voice spoke to his mind again, Please wait 30 seconds after each activation before trying again. Huh. That was interesting. His mind raced with the possibilities for this mask. There was potentially so much he could do now. This could be how he figured out the creating mask. Perhaps this was the creating mask. There was so much testing to be done. Thunks rang out through the Cube and it rose into the air. The propulsion engine quietly powered on, fueled with electricity. And then they were off, headed for the grand temple’s valley. Whira must have arrived. Sure enough, he sensed her mind as she floated up to him. It seemed she was trapped as a gaseous cloud again, just like he had thought. He responded to her statements, a thumb pointing to the Aspect body he had taken from his vault, “Already ahead of you. Go ahead and take it, free of charge. We need to get you where you need to go as quickly as we can. Hopefully whatever it is I’m supposed to unlock next will help us have you achieve your Grand Wish.” Of course Whira had already paid for the armor by giving Cravious the power he now wielded. It was her that had allowed all of this to happen, even as the island fell apart he grew stronger. By the end of it all, he would be so rich he wouldn’t know what to do with it all. OOC: @~Xemnas~ You can go ahead and choose what the body looks like. It just won't be the same as the body she had before.
  2. IC: Forgemaster Viltia NUVA - Toa NUVA of the Green Location - Kini-Nui, near the Airship With - Zataka, Tuyet, Exuze, Axxon, Atamai A lot was going on that Viltia didn’t understand. The large being seemed to be in pain. It showed through in his stance for a moment. And then there were words he spoke. He didn’t seem to care about the Great Discs she could potentially make. Wouldn’t that fix everything? Was it the Aspect within him speaking its own goals? But the Ga-Toa Tuyet and Atamai NUVA, they both really were thieves of Atamai’s own admission, how could she trust them with what was right? The only beings here she trusted fully so far were the flighty Lesterin and the Rite-born. Why couldn’t it be easy to know what was the right thing? Viltia wished Sidra was here, she would know what to do. She nodded yes to Atamai’s question about making her own Great Disc before he heard something and disappeared. The ensuing silence was agonizing as Viltia tried to figure out what she should say and do. Thankfully Atamai returned with a way out. As he spoke, Viltia gave a sideways glance to Zataka. Viltia knew exactly why the Kaita ACRs were freaking out. She would need to relocate hers as well, then. She couldn’t have Twekohui attacking her new friend. Viltia looked around the group, a momentary distraction overtaking her as she felt the presence of another Toa NUVA and looked up just as the new NUVA shouted down in a manner of prideful boasting and profanity. It was the one from earlier who had recklessly shot rockets into the sky. That was just great. Why did she have to get NUVA? Viltia wasn’t too happy with that. In fact, she was rather unhappy with the turn of events. Mazor flew up to Skyra, though, keeping the ruffian from interfering rashly, which was for the betterment of the entire situation. Then Zataka spoke to her mind again, offering a solution to the problems before her. It seemed like Zataka needed help with something that could in turn help everyone else. Viltia could definitely get behind that! She thought back, Let me get my Kaita mech out of here so it doesn’t try to kill you or the… whoa, now the two Zivons that I assume you are somehow controlling. Viltia looked at where the second Zivon was, seeing nothing but empty air. It was kind of creepy knowing some massive monster was there and could attack, yet not seeing any evidence of its presence. She continued, Then you can meet me by the bunker I take my mech from when I return. My new forge is the Air Suva. I can access it and work on Kanoka and Kanohi from here. I’d be happy to help you out. Especially if it helps out everyone else too. Viltia shifted her perspective from Zataka and back to the group, “I need to go make sure Twekohui doesn’t hurt himself. Please don’t try to kill each other.” Viltia merged into her Muaka, shook her now massive head as she adjusted to the new form, turned to face the bunker her Kaita mech sat in, and teleported away. OOC: @Vezok's Friend @Eyru @Unreliable Narrator @BULiK @~Xemnas~ IC: Cravious NUVA - Skakdi NUVA of Lightning, Mind Reading and Quick Healing Location - Ash Barrens The pain of the area slowly ebbed from him. Its vile touch finally left him as he came to where the Cube lay hidden among the large, ashen charcoal trees. Thoughts of the Zivon didn’t even enter his mind. Instead, Cravious realized he felt another power flowing through him. It was a power as great as his new Iron control. Could it be the Great Disc used in the unlocking of his upgrade? Well, only one way to find out. Cravious pointed a finger gun at a nearby tree and fired a quick beam of white, pure energy that undulated rapidly as it traveled through the air. It struck the tree without noise but then immediately the tree grew in size. It kicked up a cloud of ash as its roots tore through the ground. Its branches broke through the other trees with a great snapping and crashing. With just a quick application of power, it stood three times its original height, towering over the meager dead forest. Cravious looked at it in awe, coughing on the ash, then slowly smiled. To him, that tree represented all the widgets his new power could earn him. The tree groaned under its new weight, its form not designed to be that large. One of its limbs snapped off like a mere twig and crashed to the ground with a heavy thud. Craviuos waved away the ash, keeping the lesson the limb taught him in mind. Just because something got bigger, it didn’t mean it could be bigger and stay just as structurally sound. One of the many doors to the Cube opened as he approached. Sagacious saw him and gasped, a hand going to her mouth and the other to her weapon. She quickly eased up. It was as she had first thought, it truly was Cravious. He grinned as he stepped through the doorway, “Turns out we unlocked an upgrade for ourselves.” He turned and made sure the door stayed open for when Whira showed up. He turned back to Sagacious, “Well, I got an upgrade. Not quite sure what happened to Whira, but I think it was a good thing. I’m sure she’ll be along shortly.” Sagacious nodded, optics marveling at Cravious’ new form and silver armor. Cravious noticed she was shorter than normal. He looked around. Everything was shorter than normal. … He was taller. Huh. Incredible. Cravious also noted he couldn’t really read Sagacious’ mind. Though the more he thought about it, the more it made sense. She was the one that had taught him how to mentally defend himself, after all. He wondered if he had enough power to break through her defenses. He would have to try when he had the time. He scaled a ladder to the second story catwalks and called down to her, “When Whira gets here, take us west, southwest.” She called out an affirmative as he walked along the metal catwalks. Cravious noted how his footsteps sounded heavier. He was probably on par with the meanest of Skakdi on the island now. Too bad most of them were dead or stranded at sea. Cravious came to a vault. On its door was a large box with a single handle wired into it. Inside was a complex lock with hundreds of combinations. One had to be a Skakdi of Lightning and grab the elemental channeling handle, shutting off the electricity already running through the lock until only the correct pathway was lit and powered. Then the door would open to the secure protosteel room. Whereas it took concentration before, now Cravious didn’t even need to lift a finger. The correct combination was input and the door unlocked with a thought. He swung it open, noting the ease with which he did it. He must be stronger now, too. This upgrade only got better and better. He stepped inside the room, bringing in fresh air to the otherwise still and stagnant atmosphere of the vault. The dormant red lighting flickered and changed to a bright blue/white as the lights turned on as he stepped in. Besides the other things that were valuable enough to keep locked up, what he was looking for sat off to one side, dead optics peering ominously at him. Three Aspect bodies sat before him, a fourth almost complete but needing just a little more work. It sat in pieces, wires running from the unattached limbs and into the main torso. In a mesh weave sack off to one side hung various other parts or prototypes for other Aspect bodies. Legs and arms stuck out at weird angles. Heads were missing optics, hands were missing fingers, and a few hollow torsos were missing any gearing. But he didn’t need any spare parts in his current endeavor. Whira might need a new body after her last one exploded, and he knew which one she would like best. She was simple and straightforward in accomplishing her goals. She was about the acquiring and holding of power. Cravious grabbed the third of the three completed bodies, giving it a quick once over to make sure it was ready to contain an Aspect’s gaseous form. For a quick moment, he thought about rigging it to explode should he ever need to keep Whira from betraying him, but then he remembered the Kaita. Whira had somehow gotten it to carve out its own Heartlight. If she wanted him dead, there was nothing he could do. The thought sent a shiver down his spine, humbling him slightly. But no, that would never happen. He was far too useful, too important. He would be her right hand Skakdi even when she ascended to whatever it was that Aspects got when they accomplished their Grand Wishes. Cravious slung the body over his shoulders and left the vault, locking it behind him. This time, he took the catwalks to a set of stairs and carefully walked down them, longer legs giving him just a bit of trouble. He propped up the body and opened the valve in the throat, giving Whira free access to possess it when she showed up. That done, he moved over to one of his many work desks, shoving aside the plans there and bringing out his book on Kanoka forging. He turned on a lamp and flipped the book open. Okay, he needed to figure out the mask he had gotten and how to make a creating mask for Irnakk. Once Whira showed up, then they could get moving. OOC: @~Xemnas~
  3. IC: Cravious NUVA - Skakdi NUVA of Lightning, Mind Reading and Quick Healing Location - Remains of the Ruins of Fire With - Whira Cravious didn’t expect any of what transpired. As he stood where the Fire Ruins once had, he marveled. Not at how quickly his body was constantly healing, being damaged by the radiation and smoke and fire, only to be healed again. No. He marveled at how… free he felt. The mesmerizing spell of his waking nightmare had been crippling him and he didn't even realize it. With this empowering transformation came a renewing of his mind. He was free from the shackles that had bound him. His mind was clear for the first time since entering Irnakk’s Tooth originally. Cravious basked in the feeling, even as his armor fused to his body, his body melted down, and was instantly repaired. The pain was nothing compared to the bliss he felt. He didn’t even care that the reward hadn’t been something of monetary value. He could work with this to make all the widgets he would ever need. Speaking of the reward, the Legendary Mask of Iron had fused to his face. He felt it in his organic protodermis muscles, throughout his whole form, ready to be called upon at a moment’s notice whenever or however he wanted. It was incredible to feel. But that wasn’t the best part. The best part was being so in tune with his element that they were in all ways, except physical, one and the same. Small sparks constantly raced along his form, jumping to the bits of debris around him harmlessly. He knew he could summon Lightning bolts in any shape at a moment’s notice. He could even manipulate the electricity in his body to force his limbs to move as fast as thought. And it all was intuitive. He just knew. A mask was on his face, the power sitting in his mind just like his vision powers. It was a feeling that was new and yet felt right. So this was how Toa and Vortixx felt. He wandered at its powers, though. He would figure it out, but later. He had seen something during his transformation. A dark shadow that had called to him. And he knew where it lay. Near the sacred temple Icarax had spoken of. Cravious took stock of his surroundings and was surprised to find that his Mind Reading Kraata now pierced Whira’s thoughts like there was no resistance being offered against it. Her mind worked vastly different from a normal being’s combined with how everyone had a slight innate defense against mental probes made it hard to make out all of her thoughts and what they meant, but Cravious understood emotions. Confusion at the loss of her body. Happiness at achieving a goal. Determination to finish what she had started. He tried to look where he sensed her mind, but she was nowhere to be seen. Bits of her armor were scattered around. It was a good thing she had taken off her Mask of Shadows back in the Cube. If his Kraata was more powerful, that meant she had accomplished another step of her Grand Wish. Surely she had to be close to finishing by now. Once she had, then- He stopped, thinking about what he had decided earlier. He could take no chances. If he could gain Mind Reading powers, surely there could be some kind of cosmic reader out there that read his life like a book. His plans were his own, not something that could be perceived by another. So he kept them bottled up and out of view. Cravious called out to the air that ravaged his lungs before they regrew almost immediately, “There is a second part to the reward. It lies near the Grand Temple. Once we get it then we can focus on finishing your Grand Wish. If you can, follow me to the Cube and I’ll get you another body. If you can’t follow, I’ll figure something out.” His voice was different. It wasn’t as harsh. He almost sounded… happy. The newly christened Skakdi NUVA made sure he had all his things and strode away, ready to leave this now toxic environment that constantly assaulted his body. OOC: @~Xemnas~ I hurt one of my fingers, so typing is kind of difficult but still okay. Will get out a Viltia response when I can.
  4. IC: Sorilax Life Seeker - Aspect of Light and Silence Location - Elemental Temple of Light With - Mahrika, Bellicus Kastus, One, Two The words of the Ignika sounded hollow and misplaced. Something truly was affecting it. There was truth to what it said, yet its words also contained a warped view of Life itself. It really was tainted by all this technology and whatever extra had been added by the soul splicer. This place was so confusing. So outside of what he knew. Every choice could lead to his demise. He had already lost the Kraata power he had always carried and then on top of that, his new element. And what were his options? Try to read a wall with no options on how to do so. Try to don the Ignika with no body to do so. Try to cut the many cables and set the Ignika free to possibly not even help them. And what of all the other technology that might be hidden behind code phrases? He was lost. He was in way over his head, a sea of confusion threatening to crush him in its depths. But one truth rang out inside of him. He was going to become Life itself. That had always been his destiny. The Mask of Life would soon be under his sway either way. And if it killed him, then he was not worthy to walk the path and so it would be just in doing so. This was the culmination of his millennia spent observing the world and the life therein. The footsteps in the near distance made this confusing dance of deadly options decidedly simple. Kas felt the presence of the Aspect of Life leave him, granting him full control of his body once more. With it came the overwhelming rush of Life from the Ignika to his Life sensing power that Sorilax had previously been so in tune with in his body. Two, already imbued with a direct connection to Life through his very essence of being a Life Kraata, gratefully accepted his father’s control. Sorilax wasted no time, for he had scarcely any of it. He teleported using his Rahkshi staff directly to the silver Kanohi that was wired to the crystal pillars that gleamed with the droplets of water. With the amount of Lifeforce that the mask was giving off, he had no doubt it could alter or change any life that came into direct contact with it. He hoped that meant his Rahkshi would be graciously granted the ability to don the mask while he indwelled it. This would either be the fulfillment of all he strove for or his undoing. There was no pondering or planning. No long drawn out conversations. He knew his decision. Sorilax reached out to grab it. =---------= Meanwhile, One teleported to the porthole doorway, weapons ready as he peered through and tried to see who was drawing near. OOC: @Unreliable Narrator @Harvali Sorilax, in Two, is attempting to grab the Ignika and then put it on his Rahkshi head. Also, other characters coming later.
  5. NUVA Power-up Character Profile: Name: Cravious NUVA Breed: Skakdi NUVA Faction: Whira/Himself Brief Description: Mostly Deep Blue colored with Silver armor and White as a secondary color. Golden Optics. A full head taller than the average Skakdi. Two and a half heads above a Toa. Physically stronger after the NUVA power-up. Background/Occupation: Cravious is one of the leading technological minds of the Skakdi, especially so since Avak’s death. He has a firm grasp on elemental dampeners, mechs, and vehicles. He has intricate knowledge of how to make fake bodies. Most notably the realistically functioning body of the Aspect Sorilax, who Cravious has outfitted with a moving face, full joint functions, working eyes, and even a valve system so the Aspect can “smell” through the nose. His attempts at A.I. are rudimentary at best and cause him much frustration. Except for fake bodies, Cravious’ style is not compact, using pipes, hoses, pistons, and gears to achieve things normally reserved for electricity or simpler solutions. That’s not to say he can’t have compact designs or use electricity, but he prefers not to. Cravious is fairly young, being only 341 years old. However the organic protodermis muscle on his face seems “gaunt and tight”. He has several "businesses" with differing names that are all basically just creating or repairing mechanical objects or the storage of said mechanical objects and money. Most are run out of his Cube and/or in the Rig (formerly). Flaws: His selfishness is astounding. Cravious’ body is more prone to dismemberment with how often he disassembles and reassembles himself. Additional NUVA Psychological Flaws: Greedy to the point of viewing everything through money. Very Prideful. Powers/Equipment: Breed Quirks: Skakdi are physically imposing creatures with sharp claws and large teeth. They are as strong as—if not stronger than—most Toa. Now Cravious is even stronger with NUVA. Ability to chew food as opposed to absorbing it. Additional NUVA Breed Quirks: -You may wear kanohi masks and use their powers. -You may use your base element with similar power and control as a Toa. Pick one element to be your base element if you did not have a base element before the NUVA power-up. (Lightning) -You may concentrate and fire a beam of energy with the same power type and strength as the Great Kanoka Disk used in your Nuva power-up at a target within your sight. (Enlarge) -If you wore a mask at the time of your NUVA power-up it melted and fused to your face. You may still use its abilities as a breed quirk. If it was an infected mask it is no longer infected. (Legendary Mask of Iron) -You may share your breed quirks with up to two other willing creatures within your line of sight and elemental range. -You may be the target of your own breed quirks. Powers: Primary Power: X-ray and Telescopic Vision (Like Avak) Secondary Power: The Improbable Machine. Cravious can use this power during construction of technology to create what he intends, even if the normal necessary ingredients aren’t available. Any missing ingredients or components must be replaced with something of equal size or larger. An example being Cravious wanting to craft a gun, but he is missing a barrel. He could use a wrench the same size as a normal barrel would be, attaching it not necessarily in the same place as the barrel would go, and the gun would somehow be able to activate and fire. When working with a design, %75 must remain original parts and only %25 can be “replaced”. When creating outside of designs, the number of parts required increases based upon how complex of a technological concept is trying to be created. For example, a gear would be fairly easy to bypass, but flight would require massive amounts of extra parts and special components. Kraata 1: Mind Reading Stage 6 - Whira -Instinctive empathic ability prevents easy capture. -Has the ability to detect and seek out nearby creatures for infection. -Can evade any trap that a nearby pursuer is thinking about. -Able to anticipate and instantly avoid attacks. -Able to read and understand the thoughts of nearby creatures. -Powerful enough to invade the mind of a Turaga or Toa Nuva. Kraata 2: Quick Healing Stage 6 - Whira -Can enter a hibernation state during which minor injuries quickly heal. -Rapidly heals mild injuries while awake. -Quickly heals from any minor or moderate injury. -Has the ability to repair any but the most serious injury. -Almost indestructible; if captured, can be used to heal the injuries of others. -Immediately heals from any serious injury. Additional NUVA powers: -You may share your element with up to two other willing creatures within your line of sight and elemental range. -Your elemental mastery is stronger than before, roughly halfway between an individual Toa and an individual Toa Kaita (a Toa Kaita having the combined power of three Toa). -You may place a portion of your elemental power into a pre-specified elemental effect that can be delayed to a time of your choosing. Until your pre-specified effect occurs, you can share your Elemental Power, Breed Quirks, and NUVA Kanohi with one less willing creature per elemental effect for a maximum of two delayed elemental effects. -You are a living key for a Kaita ACR and are its primary pilot. Your assigned Kaita ACR is the same element as the ruin where your Nuva transformation occurred. See your Kaita ACR’s profile for additional information. Equipment: Weapons: Normally he just carries his Seismic Pickaxe and a Zamor Launcher with him. The Zamor Spheres are of his own creation and contain his Lightning within them. Various other weapons are for sale in his Cube and at the Rig. Preceptor's Haktann’s Lava Launcher/Energy Claw thing and Zamor Launcher. Credence's Water Harpoon Hacksaw Blade. Equipment: A massive duffel bag that can strap to his back. An enormous assortment of tools and parts. Welding mask. A pair of hands that he can exchange out for his own. This alternative pair is for finesse work and provides more accuracy when creating small details at the cost of overall structural durability. A briefcase that is able to absorb Cravious’ Lightning energy in order for it to be powered. Inside it can hold up to four Heartlights or Heartlight Keys at a time. Credence’s surgical tools. Cravious has created specially GM approved Legendary Kanohi: Lesser Legendary Mask of Iron Power: Toa level range of Elemental control over Iron. Although as a mask, it only affords the wearer Creation, Control, and Observation, not Absorption. Secondary Emotion Power: Iron Will. Strengthens the mental fortitude of the wearer or others. Lesser Legendary Mask of Hunger Power: It allows its user to drain light, energy, or any chosen emotions from a target at a distance. The user will absorb the energy removed from their target. This version drains energy faster than a normal Mask of Hunger. This mask can be used to make lightless beings such as Shadow Matoran. The Kanohi Avsa places a psychological barrier in its victims that keeps their light from returning, although the light drain must be complete before the barrier is set. The power scream of Klakk can reverse this by breaking the barrier. --------- Pick a new Great Kanohi to wear as part of the NUVA power-up. The mask you pick cannot be Banned, Gold, Restricted, or Silver. You gain this Great Kanohi as part of the NUVA power-up and it is considered a NUVA Kanohi. (Mask of Conjuring) NUVA Kanohi: a NUVA Kanohi works like a normal Great Kanohi with the following differences: it’s made of a more organic material, and you may share its power with up to two other willing creatures within your line of sight and elemental range.
  6. IC: Forgemaster Viltia NUVA - Toa NUVA of the Green Location - Kini-Nui, near the Airship With - Zataka, Tuyet, Exuze, Axxon, Atamai Whoa, things were kind of heating up. It seemed this axe guy was kind of angry. And by “kind of” she meant “really”. Which, well, she somewhat understood. She didn’t like the sound of the past having something horrible happen to it because of time travel. That wasn’t right. Viltia spoke up, oddly melodic voice trying to get the large being’s attention, “Hey, I know how to make Great Discs. Do you think if I made duplicates of what these guys stole that it would fix the past?” =---------= Twekohui would find that trying to move at all in the completely encapsulating block of dried ironwood Viltia had left behind would be next to impossible. The way the wood filled the entire bunker and sealed around his form completely removed any leverage he might have to try and break out of the hard substance. It would be like trying to lift up a steel beam in a destroyed building while you were laying down, pinned under it… and the beam was completely covered in debris. OOC: @Eyru
  7. IC: Past Viltia #1 - Toa NUVA of the Green Location - Le-Metru Nuva Past Viltia #1 bid farewell to Spark as he took his things to his hut. She kept walking, over bridges and using her tethers to take a couple shortcuts over open air. The millions of insects in the Life Kraata’s sensing range were a beautiful backdrop in her mind. The power had this awesome way of tuning out the mundane masses to focus on the extraordinary individuals. It was something she appreciated a lot, because trying to make sense of an unknowable amount of insects would probably fry her brain. And she didn’t want to have to turn off the power, either. It helped her feel so connected to the world around her. And there were more nuanced layers to it as well. Varying degrees of range and of intensity. Like with the Rahi around the village, when she wasn’t focused on them, they were in a layer behind the many species that lived in the village itself. Layer upon layer, yet never overwhelming. Instead she felt like she was finally truly one with the world. With Life itself. She had arrived. The hut was slightly larger than others in the village in the trees, but it looked exactly the same as many others. It was made of unpainted wood, grown from either herself or the Matoran with the Green as a Rhotuka power. It’s nondescript appearance didn’t really display properly the purifying power it contained. Past Viltia stepped inside to see rows upon rows of canisters, all gathered from what she had purified below. It was a true treasure trove. And the swamp kept on giving them more to purify as this whole island slowly decayed away. She sure hoped their trees would remain strong. Speaking of trees, it was time to see if her theory was right. Past Viltia grabbed a canister, thought about it, then grabbed another. A short tether ride through the treetops later and she was before the Vuata Maca Tree. It was still as wondrous as the night she had first cleansed it. It stood stall, though it was dwarfed by the hundred foot trees that surrounded the small clearing it was in. Its fruit glowed a light, greenish white that spoke to the energy they contained. Past Viltia activated her NUVA Mask of Possibilities, focusing on the thought of a hundred Vuata Maca Crystals forming. She went overkill in number to try to get as many as possible. Hopefully. She wasn’t quite sure how the mask worked exactly. She opened one of the canisters and carefully poured pure EP over where the roots of the tree were below the ground. That done, she had her tethers lift her up and she opened the second canister. This one she poured over where the cluster of branches diverged, as close to its base as she could, making sure to leave enough to pour all around its trunk where it wasn’t touched from the previous maneuver. Once she was done, she pulled back and observed the Vuata Maca Tree, trying to focus on her mask power as much as she could. OOC: @Unreliable Narrator or @Eyru Past Viltia #1 is attempting to use pure energized protodermis to cleanse the Vuata Maca Tree to the point where it produces a ton of Vuata Maca Crystals. While she does this, she has her mask of Possibilities powered on.
  8. IC: Forgemaster Viltia NUVA - Toa NUVA of the Green Location - Kini-Nui, near the Airship With - Zataka, Tuyet, Exuze, Axxon, Atamai Wait, Atamai stole Great Discs? That… that wasn’t right at all. And now Time was unraveling, not just being wonky? That was horrible. But maybe she could help. Maybe she could make the six Great Discs of legend for this guy and they all get sent back, fixing everything. That might work. If only she had more Vuata Maca Crystals. So many emotions rolled around Viltia’s head as she tried to understand. Tuyet, presumably the Ga-Toa, could time travel? Was there a Legendary Mask of Time? No. Tuyet seemed to have a normal Kanohi, not at all legendary. It’s form was good, but not great and definitely not masterful. So it was an innate power? Either way, that was an insane kind of power to have, and she would know. Her worry for Le-Metru Nuva mounted. She flashed a look to Zataka. Zataka seemed sincere in wanting not to be defined as a Rite-born. That was good enough for Viltia. Her mind made up, she created two small wooden cards in her hand, text carved into them. With a simple thought and the activating of one of her innate powers, two Time Duplicates appeared. They momentarily took in the situation then grabbed the wooden cards, taking time to read them. The first one nodded in agreement and teleported away. The second one seemed slightly confused, but then she shrugged and teleported away as well. IC: Past Viltia #1 - Toa NUVA of the Green Location - Le-Metru Nuva As she flew she grew concerned. Even more of the island had disappeared since she last checked like an hour ago. Time was running increasingly short. Which made her mission even more important. Past Viltia #1 checked her wooden card again. It read, “Make sure Le-Metru Nuva is safe. Need six more Vuata Maca Crystals. Try to cleanse the Vuata Maca Tree somehow to get a lot at once. Help Sorilax if he’s there and needs something. Then bring back more protodermis ore for our pack.” That was a puzzle right there. She had spent a month trying to keep the Vuata Maca Tree as healthy as possible, purifying the defiled EP around it and making sure it had proper sun and shade. The only time it had given another crystal was when they had cleaned and re-routed that stream to run by the tree. How could she even get one more crystal, let alone six more? Well, time was of the essence. Past Viltia spotted the part of the Fau Swamp that was extremely familiar and teleported. The foliage parted to let her pass as she gently floated down. The Kahu noticed her and squawked out a hello. She smiled and waved back at it. The village was quietly bustling as her tethers brought her in for a graceful landing. Everyone was out and about working, slowly gearing down as lunch was about to arrive within the hour. Viltia got a ton of waves and a couple surprised looks at her new height and appearance. A familiar chorus of “Pok-pok-pok” rang out in the distance and many insects were buzzing out their own songs. The light under the canopy was scarce, but an abundance of lightstones now lined the various bridges, platforms, and huts that sprawled through the branches of a couple giant trees. It was beautiful. It was home. Wing was nowhere to be seen, nor was Torch. Beruv was probably down working in the forging hut. She spotted Spark being forced to clean up his technological junk from one of the tables where everyone ate. He spotted her and flashed a smile, opening his mouth to speak. She quickly held up a finger to stop him, “I’m a Time Duplicate.” His smile dropped, “Awwww. There were so many things I wanted to tell you.” He pouted for a moment and then his grin returned, “Well, it’s good to see you anyway. It looks like you finally got NUVA.” Past Viltia #1 smiled and nodded. Spark picked up the small wooden crate he had put his stuff in and started walking with Viltia in tow, “Lookin’ good. Very flower-y. Well, I suppose you’re here to check up on us, then. So far so good. We haven’t had any attacks we couldn’t handle and every time more defiled energized protodermis shows up, we cleanse it and bottle it. We’ve got quite the store of the stuff now. We’ll need you to make more Great Kanohi of Removes Poison soon.” Viltia thought about that. Pure EP had transformed her and then later brought her back to life. It had healed and improved Mazor. The grass of the valley had even been refreshed anew and brought back to perfect health. Maybe that was the answer to her problem. IC: Past Viltia #2 - Toa NUVA of the Green Location - Kini-Nui, Amaja Circle Past Viltia #2 stood in the sand of the Amaja Circle, confused by the wooden card she held in her hands. “Go to the Kini-Nui Amaja Circle. Switch out the Muaka’s Optic for the Opal,” the card read. It didn’t make sense. Past Viltia could sense two Rite-born nearby. It was already odd that they weren’t attacking. And now present her wanted them to be able to run away? It didn’t make sense. But she trusted herself to make the right decision. So she scooped up the Muaka’s Optic, setting it in its place outside of the circle. Then she grabbed the Opal, speaking as she placed it within, “The Past Forgemaster NUVA swapped out the protective stones, working the plan of her present self. To what end this would help the stars, no one could say.” She teleported to herself, relaying what she had done with her own wooden card, soon dismissed back to the past. OOC: The Kini-Nui Amaja Circle has had the Muaka's Eye removed and replaced with the Opal. IC: Voracious - Zivon Location - Irnakk’s Tooth The weird feeling of being trapped was gone. Voracious no longer had to hide amid the ash and obsidian. He slipped into the Realm of Nightmares.
  9. IC: Forgemaster Viltia NUVA - Toa NUVA of the Green Location - Kini-Nui, near the Airship With - Zataka, Tuyet, Exuze, Axxon, Atamai Viltia nodded along to the story. It sounded like it would have been quite a sad tale if told in its entirety. She yearned to hold and comfort yet another broken star. This whole world was so sad. She needed to save it and then help everyone. Zataka switched topics and asked about her being a Forgemaster. Viltia shrugged and thought back, Well, I only really know how to make a couple tools, so I’m not quite a master of all things forging. Mostly I forge Kanoka and craft Kanohi. I’d like to think I’ve gotten pretty good at it. I’ve even made a couple Great Discs and one Legendary Kanohi from one of those Great Discs. I’m so pumped that I figured that out. It’s so cool! To find out something isn’t just legend and then to go even further with the possibilities provided by this island and make that legendary thing is just so awesome. Viltia shifted, looking to Axxon as he approached. She was maybe running out of time to talk. She needed to be a little more direct and stop any meandering. She continued, But really the whole Forgemaster thing is a title from the Suvas around this island. It’s something that took me forever to unlock. That’s its own story. Basically it lets me use the Suva as a forge to make whatever I want, even Silver and Golden Kanohi. I could make one for you if you have any extra Kanohi. And then Axxon spoke, his words ringing true to the power of Truth that flowed through her. The Ga-Toa here was a thief in the large, deformed being’s mind. Whether that meant she actually was a thief or not was still up for debate. A beacon of silver and iron strode up, golden optics gleaming. Atamai NUVA. Viltia could sense he was a Toa NUVA through her Kraata, so it was no illusion. It was a unique feeling to sense another NUVA. Even though it wasn’t Sidra, just being a NUVA seemed to cause her to feel a kind of kinship to him. She wondered if that was just her or something more. He spoke, voice oddly devoid of emotion. His words were also true though, which surprised her when he mentioned that Axxon wasn’t from this time. She knew time was wonky since getting to this island, but this seemed like something more. Just what had she walked into? The Lesterin, whatever that species was, spoke up afterwards. Viltia wouldn’t have paid him much mind with his flippant comment, but he mentioned woodwork and that got her thinking about more than just the conversation she was having with Zataka. It made her think of the Makoki Stones and of Le-Metru Nuva. Of future growth. Viltia looked around the valley, noting a significant change from when she had just looked at it earlier. She spoke to the Lesterin, voice slightly energetic and full of compassion but also a little melodic in a weird way, “Maybe, precious star. Another NUVA portal just opened. Somebody may be coming to unlock their Kaita mech soon.” OOC: @Vezok's Friend @BULiK @Unreliable Narrator @Eyru @~Xemnas~
  10. IC: Forgemaster Viltia NUVA - Toa NUVA of the Green Location - Kini-Nui, near the Airship With - Mazor, Zataka, Tuyet, Exuze Viltia looked around as the voice came back. A glance from the tall, Rite-born being seemed to confirm it was her that was mentally talking. Zataka. It was a nice name. It sounded strong, yet gentle. It made her think of the desert and its beautiful cactus flowers. And Viltia had been right! There was no way this was a normal Rite-born. Irnakk really was getting better. Well, at least he had with Zataka. The lingering fires on the outside Irnakk’s Tooth spoke to more, normal Rite-born having emerged some time ago. Which wasn’t quite nice. But at least this mind talk was kind of fun. She wished Sidra wanted to do this, but Sidra didn’t really like using her element, which Viltia didn’t quite understand. She replied to Zataka, still in her head. Oh yeah! That was me. My name’s Viltia. Well, technically now it’s Forgemaster Viltia NUVA, but that’s kind of a mouthful and technically two of the words are just titles... I think. Not sure about NUVA. It might actually be part of my name now. No idea how that works. But hey, it’s nice to meet you! How are you a Rite-born? Aren’t they all supposed to be crazy monsters? It’s not often you meet one that doesn’t destroy you. It’s nice. OOC: @Vezok's Friend IC: Cravious - Skakdi of Lightning, Mind Reading and Quick Healing Location - Fire Ruins With - Whira The inside of the Ruins had stabilized as best it could. Space was still warped in places, but at least they didn’t feel like they were actively melting. His active nightmare had died down after experiencing his past nightmare, but it didn’t help to be walking where it had taken place just days before. Cravious fought down his emotions and focused. He quickly led Whira through the portal and down the forge hallway to the NUVA room. The receiver thankfully seemed intact. Hopefully whatever was locked behind here was intact as well. It would be horrible to work so hard, risk life and limb, and then to have everything come to naught. No, it wasn’t possible. The reward would still be there. It had to be. It was going to be. Cravious inspected the Great Disc of Enlarge that he had created. Based on the manual, it should have had 1-5-9 stenciled on it. But he hadn’t bothered with that detail. He knew what the disc was and if his enemies didn’t, that was preferred. He reached in the top of his duffel bag without looking and put on his welding mask. He had no idea what was coming and didn’t want to risk losing his sight if this thing shot out a burst of intense light. Cravious turned the disc over in his hands one last time, making sure it was as perfect as when he had made it, then inserted it into the receiver. Wait. This wasn’t his welding mask. There were optic holes where there should have been glass. That’s right! He had put the Kanohi of Iron in the top of- His thoughts got cut short. 11. IC: Forgemaster Viltia NUVA - Toa NUVA of the Green Location - Kini-Nui, near the Airship With - Mazor, Zataka, Tuyet, Exuze “Whoa!” Viltia said involuntarily to herself as she heard the voice in her head. It wasn’t like talking with Sorilax at all. It was kind of intrusive. But it was just words, not an attack, so she kept from merging with her Muaka, intrigued. She looked around, but no one else seemed to have heard the voice in their minds. At least if they did, they weren’t surprised by it. She shifted the large sack draped over her shoulder, tether holding onto it. It was nearly empty, but still held the remains of the forging materials and equipment she had grabbed for becoming Forgemaster. As always, another tether also held onto her Rahkshi Staff of Hunger, it’s (apparently) always sharp edges glinting in the sun. Her axe was on her back, ready to be easily grabbed, but it didn’t seem like she needed it. Yet, anyway. The vines and jungle flowers that adorned her body, everywhere there weren’t tethers, rustled in a breeze that came by. He tethers themselves, the ones unoccupied, flowed as if in an ocean current, gently swirling and waving in unseen water. Unlike back in Le-Metru Nuva, she had them about as long as she was tall. Even if it might freak beings out to see them like that, their length allowed better defense against potential dangers. Having them short was also not really natural to her. Letting them flow was much better. Since no one else seemed concerned, Viltia tried to think back at the voice. She had no idea if this would even work. Hello? Can you hear me? Who is this? OOC: @Vezok's Friend IC: Cravious - Skakdi of Lightning, Mind Reading and Quick Healing Location - Ash Barrens With - Whira Regret washed through him like the surge from a broken dam. Cravious felt the loss of past mistakes. He felt brutal tearing away that came with losing good workers and friends to Tahtoraks and raiding parties. He felt immense sadness at the loss of his mentor Preceptor. He felt the loss of the good work Voracious had provided him for years. All his mistakes and pain over his three hundred years filled him to overflowing. The third Crystallized Nightmare was his own. There was so much he could have done better. So many mistakes. So much regret. So many widgets lost, never to be regained. He understood the loss he had felt from Nektann’s nightmare. It was all consuming. The pain Nektann had felt daily must have been crippling. How had he kept going? The Cube slowly drifted to a stop, its legs deploying as the Weight Increase Kanoka thunked against the frame and brought it down to gently rest on the ground. Clash checked the cameras and went to find Cravious. He found his boss staring at one of the crystals, optics lost in thought. The Kanoka he had been working on was cool in the mold. Clash nudged Cravious, “You okay, boss?” Cravious’ whole body jumped as he was forced to come back to his senses. He felt emotionally drained. Like he just wanted to lay down and go to sleep, never to awake. He fought against the feeling, trying to draw on anger as he had previously. But the anger mixed with his regret and was negated, leaving him to force himself to keep moving. He thought of all the horrible things that had happened to him. He thought of how he had been powerless to stop them. He set his jaw, determination growing in his optics as he made up his mind to keep moving forward. He turned to Clash, “What do you want?” Clash motioned with his head, “We’re here. Well, hidden a bit away, but we’re here.” Cravious looked to his Kanoka, seeing it was cooled, the pure EP separated from the mixture. He must have gotten lost in thought. “Alright, keep a lookout. I have something to finish.” Clash left, and as he did, a feeling of empowerment overcame Cravious. Suddenly Clash’s thoughts popped into his head as he focused on his hireling. Cravious smiled savagely. Voracious was reborn and Whira had grown in power, as had he. Finally, he could read the minds of others. It had taken forever, but now it was finally time to reap the rewards of supporting Whira. And speaking of Whira, now he would know if she ever thought to betray him. Though she had never given him cause for concern. Which was surprising. He thought she would have tried to betray him at least once by now. It was a pleasant turn of events. Still, better to know for sure. But later. Cravious got to work. The Kanoka was quickly re-melted, the pure EP taking hold and binding evenly throughout. His Crystallized Nightmare completed the mixture and soon he held another Great Disc in his hands. This one too he formed into the shape of the Mask of Shadows, taking care to be as precise as possible as he evened out the forms and added the minute details. His body was well tuned to this kind of work, and it didn’t faze him at all to have worked near non-stop these last three days. He had gotten his sleep and one meal each day and that was enough. Creating was where the wellspring of widgets began to flow and he loved it. Perhaps if widgets didn’t exist, he might even be a mechanic just because he loved it so. But he didn’t dare admit that to anyone else. Even the thought of there not being some form of money was horrifying. When everything was cooled sufficiently, Cravious put the Kanohi of Hunger into his duffel bag, then the Kanohi of Iron. He grabbed the remaining Kanoka and gripped it tightly. He was ready. He walked to one of the doorways outside, Whira and Sagacious waiting for him. He looked to Sagacious, “Keep a lookout and stay safe. Whatever you have to do to do that, go ahead and do it. You know my priorities. Stick to them.” The female Skakdi nodded. Cravious turned to Whira, “Alright, let’s go see what treasure is locked up in there before the place is gone for good. Then we can focus on your Grand Wish again. Obviously, we’ll need your cloaking shadows.” Cravious looked around the Cube one last time. He had no idea what to expect in there and so he appreciated what he could while he could. He appreciated the things he didn’t regret. And there were a lot of them. When he really thought about it, the good far outweighed the bad, even living on Zakaz. He turned away, focusing now on the task ahead. “Let’s go.” He opened the door and started to run. OOC: @~Xemnas~ Legendary Mask of Hunger approved by GMs.
  12. IC: Cravious - Skakdi of Lightning, Mind Reading and Quick Healing Location - Ocean With - Whira The Great Disc of Iron was just as easy to make as the first disc had been. The nightmare had been Voracious’. Cravious found a cruel mirth in the feeling of being inferior to himself. Voracious always had been more of a sidekick. It was just official now. The true test now lay in the making of a Kanohi. Cravious didn’t waste thought on a different design. He grabbed his hammer and the disc and started to form what he had practiced for a month straight. As his hammer clanged and rang out, a Mask of Shadows took shape, but in shape only. The power contained within was far different. There were finely tuned contours. Peaks and valleys. Openings throughout. It all flowed without a hitch. At this point it was almost second nature. With a hiss of steam as the Kanohi was doused in water, Cravious sneered triumphantly. He set it next to the first Great Disc and grabbed his manual once more. There was a merging of Kanoka that he had seen that he knew he wanted on his side. Ah, here it was. Hunger. Cravious grinned. It was a perfect power for disabling annoying elements. He checked his supply of protodermis ore. It was running low. And his mines were probably gone with the rest of the island. He needed some mystical way to conjure up more. Maybe that creating mask Irnakk wanted him to make. He would have to figure that out when he had the time. At least he knew he had enough for the job at hand. Cravious got to work making and merging Kanoka. OOC: @~Xemnas~ Legendary Mask of Iron created with GM approval.
  13. IC: Cravious - Skakdi of Lightning, Mind Reading and Quick Healing Location - Ocean With - Whira Cravious went over the Kanoka forging guide. If he had just had this thing one month ago things would have been much simpler. He grabbed blue and green hued protodermis ore and melted it down, running it through his purification process. His machines whirred and clanged, the heat of the forge nothing compared to the fires of Irnakk’s Tooth. With the mixture freshly cleansed, he carefully grabbed the vial of pure EP with tongs, tipping the golden liquid in. Like before, it bound with the protodermis ore, but he knew not for long. The warping effect of his prolonged nightmare gave him little pause as he grabbed the Crystallized Nightmare he had set aside. He needed to toss it in quickly. It was a Heartlight replacement, after all, and that meant the pure EP would unbind soon without it. But holding it in his hand brought the nightmare of another to him. He was in a calm seaside garden, but the garden was lost to the ravages of drought. He rode along the east coast, a comforting seat below, but his ACR had been taken by another. He wanted to bring the world a little green, but instead all he brought was a scourging fire. Cravious recognized the Skakdi from the nightmares. How couldn’t he? It was Nektann. Or Boss, as he liked to be called. Cravious sneered, anger flowing through him at the realization of whose nightmares he held. That cretin had kept him held back for far too long, forcing him into deals that weren’t quite so lucrative. Making ACRs and weapons just so he wouldn’t get killed. Whira’s power would break Cravious free of all these petty power plays. She would rule supreme, an answer ready for all challengers. She would do what she wished, and no doubt he would be forced to make sure things ran smoothly. Whether that meant an actual reign or a metaphorical one, it didn’t matter. Either way, he would be able to monopolize many things. Cravious let the crystal fall into the mix. It diffused into the molten ore just as the Heartlight had, the power of the nightmares contained within being transformed as it merged with the mixture. Cravious made sure everything was even in the mold, then let it cool. When the orange glow faded, he doused it in water and placed it aside to settle. He saw the silvery sheen as he moved it through the air. He had succeeded. It held power. But he felt no great joy. There was still so much to do and little time in which to do it. He kept the forge hot, grabbing a Kanoka of Iron he already had ready. Just to be safe, he ran it through the purification filters. While that ran, he went and scooped up another vial of pure EP from the large vat of it that he now had, eventually adding it into the Kanoka mold with the now purified ore. Cravious grabbed another Crystallized Nightmare. He had plans to accomplish, even if it ended up empowering others. As long as they were on his side and made him widgets. OOC: @~Xemnas~ Cravious has created a Great Disc using his GM approved unique method with a Crystallized Nightmare. Essentially his version of Viltia's Vuata Maca Crystals. IC: Voracious - Zivon Location - Irnakk’s Tooth There was pain. It was hot. Unbearably hot. It felt like the world itself was changed into a star. But then… a change. An updraft of air. Spewing of lava. A chitinous body glistening in the light of an eruption. Voracious was reborn. He sat atop Irnakk’s Tooth, new mind taking in the island with fresh optics. He couldn’t remember how he got here, or what he was supposed to do. But he felt as if the whole world now gazed at him and sought his destruction. Voracious scampered down the mountain to find a place to hide. OOC: @~Xemnas~
  14. IC: Cravious - Skakdi of Lightning, Mind Reading and Quick Healing Location - Todbuk-Koro With - Whira The Vortixx’s mouth was open with awe as he entered the Cube. Cravious opened up and slid back the lid of the large iron vat as best he could, revealing the tainted contents within. He then produced two Kanohi, both of which were unknown to him. A quick read through the Kanoka manual on the walk over revealed they would either be Regeneration or Removes Poison. So perhaps not entirely unknown anymore. The Vortixx took the two Kanohi, placing the first on his head. “So what am I testing out, exactly?” He glanced where Cravious had stowed away the widgets. Cravious tapped the iron vat, “We’re seeing if we can cleanse this.” The Vortixx laughed, “Unlikely, but okay. As long as I get paid.” He focused on the liquid and activated his mask. Nothing appeared to happen. He stood there for several moments before shifting and shrugging. Cravious grabbed a broken tool and motioned to it. The Vortixx focused on it and the tool was almost immediately repaired, “Okay, this one is just Regeneration.” He put on the other mask. He paused, “Odd, I’ve never felt this power before. What is this?” Cravious motioned to the vat, “Removes Poison. Test it out.” The Vortixx chuckled, “Removes Poison just removes poison. It doesn’t remove impurities. That’s why no one makes masks out of it.” Cravious glared at him, “Do you want to get paid?” The Vortixx yelped and turned to the vat. He focused his attention on the tainted liquid and activated the mask. Clash wandered over to see what was going on. No doubt Asperity was up above. The Vortixx sighed, “See, it doesn- What?!” A portion of the liquid turned golden and pure. Cravious smiled savagely, “Perfect. Now do the rest.” His theory was right. He could do it. He would do it. The Vortixx nodded, trying to figure out why this was working. Slowly, bit by bit, the defiled became pure. The Vortixx didn’t notice an intriguing development, but Cravious did. As the mask purified the vat’s contents, it was becoming tainted and cracked. Almost like it was taking on what it was cleansing. By the time the vat was completely pure, the Kanohi crumbled to dust, startling the Vortixx. The Vortixx backed away slightly, confused, “Why? Wha-?” Cravious put the rest of the payment in the Vortixx’s hands and walked for the forge, calling back to Clash, “See him out.” The confused, yet monetarily satisfied Vortixx kept asking questions and Clash grabbed his arm and guided him out. Once he was successfully removed from the Cube, Clash closed the door, his continued questions cut short. Sagacious initiated flight. The Cube started to move as Cravious carefully extracted a disc’s worth of Pure EP. He grabbed a Crystallized Nightmare, momentarily lost to its pain, then snapped back to himself. He growled at himself. There could be no distractions. He started forging a Kanoka of great import as the Cube left the village far behind. OOC: @~Xemnas~
  15. IC: Cravious - Skakdi of Lightning, Mind Reading and Quick Healing Location - Todbuk-Koro With - Whira They had found it. Cravious had them set down well out of sight and set off on his own. The village was set up around one of the Ruins. It was dusty and noisy and yet also far less chaotic than any Skakdi settlement he had ever seen. There seemed to be some kind of crisis happening near the entrance to the Ruins. He ignored it. Instead he found himself in the market. Every town large enough had one. This one was fairly quiet with all the other goings on in the village. He spotted what he wanted, though. A Vortixx surrounded by small bits of machinery and a couple manuals. Cravious casually strolled up, wanting to make sure he controlled the situation. The Vortixx looked bored and quickly perked up when he saw Cravious. Cravious nonchalantly looked through the wares, his insides jumping in delight as he spotted a “Kanoka Disc Crafting for Idiots: A complete guide for the aspiring forgemaster” manual. His optics lit up in joy only fleetingly. He huffed in disdain, flipping through a couple of the other manuals. Several of them were damaged in some way, many missing pieces or having had received water damage. He picked up the Kanoka manual and grimaced. “I’ll take this, though I don’t like its condition. You have a better one?” The Vortixx wrung his hands, “You’ll find that one to be in superb condition considering our predicament. New world and all that.” He smiled sheepishly. Cravious frowned, “Still, I expect better, especially from a Vortixx.” The Vortixx looked a little pained at the statement, but he needed to make some widgets and smiled weakly, “I preserved it the best I could.” He stated the price. Cravious laughed his harsh laugh, counter offering with a ridiculously low price. The Vortixx wrung his hands again, far more vigorously this time. When he seemed like he was going to burst, he said, “Fine! Fine. But I don’t know how you knew it was only worth that. You don’t seem like a book connoisseur.” “I’m not, normally. But sometimes you can’t strangle the information out of a Skakdi.” Cravious laughed and handed over the widgets. He paused, the hefty bag displaying the many widgets still within. The Vortixx winced at the attempted joke, snatched the offered widgets, and looked at the bag with clear greed. “I-is there anything else I can help you with?” Cravious weighed the bag in his hand, as if he were contemplating his response. In truth, this was why he was really here. “Actually, would you like to test out a couple Kanohi for me? My vehicle is outside town. I’m a native Skakdi, you see, and I can imagine the kind of panic just rolling into town might cause.” The Vortixx nodded vigorously, “Yes, yes. I understand.” He looked to the bag, eager for its contents. Cravious took out a generous amount and offered it to the Vortixx, “Half now, half after.” The Vortixx snatched them without hesitation, “Deal!” OOC: @~Xemnas~
  16. IC: Cravious - Skakdi of Lightning, Mind Reading and Quick Healing Location - Irnakk’s Tooth With - Whira The Cube came to rest, allowing Whira and Cravious entry. Cravious ordered them west and so west they went. Cravious immediately got to work. They spent a day traveling by land, carefully traversing what remained of the mountain range. Cravious had torn up every wall in the Cube from the base of the floor to three feet up. It turned out the inside was hollow, with many supporting struts and various large wires running throughout it, and that was just what had become visible. There was far more hidden behind the rest of the protosteel walls. He installed the Levitation and Weight Increase machines directly up against the supporting struts on all sides, making sure they could still be accessed for when the discs ran dry, which was something he had figured out by how often Clash had Enlarged his meals, using up that disc. The next day was spent traveling through what was left of the desert. If Cravious was concerned about the disappearing landscape, he didn’t show it. Instead he spent the day stewing in his anger and making the rest of the Levitation machines, wiring up all of them into the main control panel. After that it was a simple matter of putting back the wall panels. That took him to their first destination. Getting inside Debt Collector, Cravious grabbed the iron vat he had made a couple days before. As he descended the garage ramp to see the sea beyond, he smiled savagely, his nightmare abating slightly as his goal became more attainable. The water was tainted for sure. He took care not to touch the sea, even from inside his ACR, as he filled up the iron vat. When done, he secured the lid and took it back to the Cube. Step one, done. As the garage ramp lifted up, several thunks rang out and the Cube started to float. No, to fly. A propulsion engine lowered from its center and it headed north-northeast. OOC: @~Xemnas~
  17. IC: Sorilax Life Seeker - Aspect of Light and Silence Location - Elemental Temple of Light With - Mahrika, Bellicus Kastus, One, Two Sorilax considered the revelation. The Mask of Life had life itself. It only made sense in hindsight. If he had his own body here, this situation would be far easier. No doubt he could just don the Mask of Life and fix what had been broken with the mask’s help, but things were much more complicated than that with this whole technology thing. But what it said about Life and Death, Sorilax felt a stirring deep within his soul. “You are wrong. While Life and Death are inseparable, they are not the same. An absence of Life is not Death. And an absence of Death is not Life. They are not two sides of the same widget, they are two brothers who work together. I do not understand how you do not see that.” He would say more, but with the outside influence corrupting the Ignika, he could not reveal to the mask that he was potentially its rightful bearer. Or at least its greatest ally. Sorilax leaned down, inspecting one of the cables at the point where it connected to a crystal pillar. He used his mental link to Kas to ask him, You said the Ignika was buggy, which I assume is the infestation of another mind that it spoke about. Is it possible to remove these cables and fix what has been broken without destroying important Mi-Kiri things? OOC: @Unreliable Narrator @Harvali IC: Forgemaster Viltia NUVA - Toa NUVA of the Green Location - Kini-Nui, Valley With - Mazor, Mauka NUVA Proxima Viltia observed the Krom Sphere, naturally shifting it to form the pattern she had seen. A sphere. A triangle. A hexagonal prism. But nothing extraordinary happened beside the sphere feeling peaceful and comforting to be around. She reluctantly gave it back to Mazor. She knew that it wasn’t hers to keep. Mazor had laid claim to it and Sidra had entrusted him with it. So that was good enough for her. They were close to Kini-Nui now, and an airship sat close by. Viltia looked over at Kini-Nui, seeing only three white beings around the Far Shore Portal. Korruhn, Whisper, and Stannis were nowhere to be seen. She sighed, “Well, it looks like they aren’t here yet. You get to use your beautiful wings after all.” She idly turned to the three precious stars near the airship, probing out with her Life Kraata to sense any nearby Aspect, which would indicate if Korruhn, Whisper, or Stannis where near. While she did sense an Aspect inside a being, what was shocking was to realize there was a Zivon nearby, and then another Rite-born of a kind she was completely perplexed by. It was a normal being, perhaps a bit shadowy looking. It wasn’t attacking or anything. Had Irnakk been getting nicer like she hoped? This was fantastic. Though now she had to think about the Zivon. She peeked in its direction, not seeing anything. So, another dimension then. Why wasn’t it attacking? Viltia looked in the direction of the being that had an Aspect inside of it. Had it something to do with the Aspect? Was it super powerful and causing the Zivon to refrain from its actions? Viltia walked a bit closer to the assembled group, veering from her path towards Kini-Nui. Her Muaka drew close and she had a couple tethers wrap around it, ready to merge into him at the first sign of danger. OOC: @Unreliable Narrator @Vezok's Friend @Eyru @BULiK @Smudge8 IC: Cravious - Skakdi of Lightning, Mind Reading and Quick Healing Location - Irnakk’s Tooth With - Whira Cravious slumped to his side, breath short and rapid. For the first time since he had been created, his mind was blank and in shock. There was heat and there was rock and there were the four Nightmare Crystals. Nothing else. Not even him. The crystals wailed quietly, vocalizing Cravious’ numbing agony of nearly dying from a being beyond his comprehension. Cravious lay like that for he knew not how long. Slowly, he returned to himself, and with it came his ever present nightmare. Then the anger returned and Cravious was back. He slowly rose to be seated on the ground, staring at the crystals in his hands, feeling their nightmares mix with his own when he focused on them. Whether it was from his Mind Reading Kraata that allowed him to do so or something more, he wasn’t sure. He closed his hands over them and felt the power of the opportunity presented to him. He stayed like that for a moment, then put them within a smaller bag that he produced from and then returned to his duffel bag. He rose to his feet, trying to fight his nightmare and focus on what Irnakk had said. Most of it had been lost to his fear, shock, and the desperate feeling of almost dying. Something about being a good sleeper. Which was a good thing, hopefully. But then there was something else. Something about creating a mask. No, Creation of a Mask. A creating mask? Irnakk must know he was figuring out Kanohi. And now with these Nightmare Crystals, he had what he needed to make ones of even greater power. So Irnakk wanted Cravious to figure out a Kanohi that was able to create things. That sounded fair enough. That was a three crystal net gain. Cravious got to his feet, determination in his optics. He knew what must come next. And he knew what he wanted to happen. And he knew all his plans within that. But even thinking such things might bring death with beings of unknown dimensions roaming about. So he kept his thoughts on other things, especially since it seemed crazy was commonplace. Who knew, maybe an extra-planar being was able to read his story like a book. Nothing was outside the realm of possibility. He wasn’t about to divulge secrets to anyone. Hopefully Whira would do what he hoped she would when the time came. And then they would receive their just reward. Voracious looked around wildly from the ground, finally free from his nightmare and also from something else that he couldn’t understand. He propped himself up on one elbow and looked to Cravious, fear in his optics, “What just happened?” Cravious looked at him for a moment, then turned and walked away, leaving the question unanswered. In his mind, Voracious was already dead and reborn. An asset that was in the process of being upgraded to better serve the user. Cravious continued walking, plans merging with his nightmare, merging with the nightmares of the crystals he carried. His anger continued to carry him. He would figure out how to never be afraid again. He would figure out how to make himself un-killable by all. He came to himself and realized he was standing at the mouth of the tunnel entrance into Irnakk’s Tooth. His nightmare had abated slightly and his mind was more clear. He pulled out his radio and sent a stream of static bursts. A short moment later, a couple bursts replied. The Cube was on its way. His future was waiting to be crafted. There was some mask strapped to his Kohrak, along with another Krana and a bullhorn. Hahvok was overjoyed to see another Krana and his Krana Za’s powers let him communicate with the Krana Su. Hello, fellow Krana. Have you figured out your purpose as I have? Cleanseitallitmustbecleansed-cleanseitallitmustbecleansed-awaiting orders-cleanseitallitmustbecleansed. Hahvok was taken aback by the response. Its mind was simple and constantly on repeat. Not at all like his own. He pondered this, a feeling of superiority overtaking him. Instead of finding an ally, he had found a minion. He mentally commanded it, Orders are to obey all my instructions. The Krana Su responded, Affirmative. Then it went back to its babbling about cleansing. Hahvok shook Zal’s head in disappointment. As he had just learned, you needed to cleanse with purpose. That was his Duty. And apparently it was a higher calling than other Bohrok worked towards. Hahvok noticed Zal had two claws strapped to him. He switched them out for his Ice Picks, noticing how sharp they were as he ran them along themselves. They would allow him, in Zal, to be able to climb much easier. And even destroy things should they need to be cleansed. Both of him turned to Nuju, “Thank you, white Matoran. I have found my purpose.” Hahvok turned and he both walked back into the Far Shore. She wished she could spend more time in it just experiencing all it had to offer, but that time might never come. They were halfway to Kini-Nui now. It sat on a sparkling lake as the sun ever so gently climbed up the sky. In an hour or so it would be noon. Maybe even time for a snack. Mazor asked her about the mech. She happily gave a response, “Well, if it sees a Rite-born, the monsters from Irnakk’s Tooth the volcano, it stops at nothing to go fight and kill them, even if no one is piloting it. “I unlocked it just in case I needed super quick access to the mech. Then I had to start it up to get all my powers back. Unlocking the bunker had drained them. But I don’t want it wandering off and potentially getting in over its head, so I was forced to lock it up again. Although this time it's a lock I made, so it’ll be way easier to hop in should something happen. “But I’m sure everything will work out fine. Sorilax was confused. He had not talked about slowing down the wall at all. Was this the Administrator trying to twist things? It certainly seemed so. The Administrator continued. "Why would someone want to slow down the wall of Prophecy? It would be much easier to speed oneself up with a Kakama. Although, perhaps by donning the Ignika-" Kas managed to get out an interrupting, “Don’t.” Sorilax appreciated the gesture from the Toa and loosened his grip on the mouth functions of Kas’ body. It might do Mahrika and him good to hear at least a portion of what Kas had to say. For all his flaws, he did seem to understand this room and its functions. As for using a Kakama, the Ignika, or, well, any mask for that matter, it was next to impossible. Sorilax had no vessel that could even don a new mask in this room. His creations had no way to wear Kanohi. Mahrika could not even utilize any masks given to her, and with how she was, Sorilax was not sure if she would allow her mask to be changed. And Kas’ Illuminated mask was the only thing keeping the Toa in check. In order to wear and use a Kanohi, he would need to somehow remove Kas from the equation in a different way than he already was, then get his normal vessel here, which could prove to be very difficult. So it was better to get all possible information before choosing which actions needed to be taken. Sorilax, with One’s help, turned and walked back to the center of the room and the crystal pillars around the overflowing wading pool. “Administrator, define the purpose and function of the cables plugged into these crystal pillars. 21. IC: Hahvok - Za and Ja Krana of Ice Location - Far Shore Hahvok found himself in a simple teal tiled room. The tile was grimy and scuffed with what had to be the passing of thousands of beings or perhaps thousands of years of neglect. Hahvok felt the cold his body gave off intensify and his shields felt empowered in his grip as he arrived. But the room itself was warm. Waist high counters had plants growing underneath small glass domes. Red bulbs were above each plant, providing even more warmth. The plants were spindly, like twigs, or perhaps like roots. Hahvok couldn’t tell if they were long dead remains, or some hardy plant that had somehow survived without care. Zal stayed atop himself and looked around inquisitively. He noticed by a door one of the domes was broken open, the light above it shattered. Dirt was all over the countertop. Hahvok walked over to it. Glass was littered everywhere. It wasn’t right. So Hahvok used his shields to scoop it up from the counter and floor and place it back in what remained of the dome. That was much better. But still, there was that hollow feeling within him. Where he was and what might his purpose be? Hahvok turned and walked through the swinging door and into a room with the same type of tile, except a different shade. This was more aqua, not teal. Weird how they didn’t exactly match up. This room was also dirty and grungy, with equipment for gardening strewn all over like a hurricane had come through the place. Logos were fading from the tools, just splashes of color amidst the dirt. Already opened bags of dirt were toppled over, creating small mounds that were surprisingly free of any insects. There was a path cleared through the mess to another doorway. It seemed like this whole place could use a good cleansing. Hahvok continued on, Zal jumping down and climbing over the trash to peek through the other doorways in the room. He found his way out into a large hallway, filled with various machines of diverse purposes. The temperature fell drastically, feeling much more comfortable than before. One machine with a type of display was connected to a large opaque glass tube that seemed almost like crystal, light bouncing off of it as Hahvok walked around it. It automatically opened when he stepped near, giving him a little bit of a shock at the action. At its base in the center of the circular floor, there was what seemed to be a small, spherical globule of space nestled partially into the floor. Zal went over and touched it, a feeling of being frozen solid passing through both of him. It was sudden and intense. It was like being killed instantly. It was the first time the cold had ever held any danger and as soon as the feeling passed, Hahvok carefully stepped away from the tube. A humming noise caught his attention and he turned to a machine that took up one side of the long hallway walls. There were many gauges and buttons on it. There were levers and readouts. It seemed as if the whole thing were vibrating slightly, giving off the feeling that it was currently running and with extreme power. Pipes seemed to feed into it and many cables were running from it to power the machines in the room. One of those machines being something that was blowing out almost freezing cold air, explaining why it was cooler in this hallway. The largest of the cables ran up the wall and then down the hallway and was lost to sight as it left the room. Hahvok kept going, but as he turned, he accidentally knocked over the air cooling machine. It made a strange and increased whirring noise but otherwise seemed fine. Hahvok left it fallen over and got out of there. The hallway led to several rooms that seemed to have been broken open by something. Metal doorways were bent aside, allowing Hahvok passage through what would have been formidable barriers otherwise. As he moved, he noticed each and every room was slightly different from the last. But in a weird way. Colors were slightly off, as was architecture. Brand logos were sometimes differently designed. Some were even different brands on things he knew were exactly the same as the room previous. And there were varying levels of technology for different items, too. It was as if each room were piecemealed together and only technically part of the same building. Hahvok eventually found himself in a large open space that was warmer than the hallway had been. At first he thought he was outside, but seven stories up was a ceiling painted white and large, gold gilded pillars ran throughout the space. The far wall was mostly glass, which caught his attention. The Kohrak walked over to it. Beyond was dark and hazy. It looked like there was a terrible snow storm outside. Off in the distance through the haze he thought he might be able to see the lights of another building, but he couldn’t be sure. He walked along the glass wall until he came across a large hole in the glass that allowed a snow drift to pile up inside. Large icicles were formed along the top of the hole. More of those vines grew here, though these were larger and covered in a layer of frost that seemed to be cracking them open and killing them. They wrapped up the glass wall and outside the building as well, though the ones outside looked broken off. The parts farthest away from the hole seemed fine. In fact, they ran along the ground and up one of the pillars. Hahvok turned from them and walked back where he had come from, noting the large open space had a section with a now dead field of grass with benches to sit on, snow from the open window piled up here and there. Shops were set up as a little market. They were in various states of decay. There was a frozen fountain, widgets stuck inside. Long black cable ran along the ground from the base of an intricate streetlamp and into a pile of debris. Potentially the remains of a food cart. Hahvok stared at the mess, confusion welling up in him. There was so much here that needed a cleansing touch, yet nothing yelled out to him that it was his purpose. Was he doomed to wander here just as he did back on that other island? Zal rummaged around the cart and suddenly Hahvok snapped to attention and Zal jumped away as something began to move in the wreckage. He raised his shields, their increased power evident as frost fell from them, something that normally didn’t happen. What appeared was a Matoran that was pure white with a white Komau on. Or, at least it appeared he used to be pure white. He was just as dirtied as the rest of the place, turning the white into more of a brownish/blackish gray with certain pure white spots. His optics were circular for some reason and glowed the same icy blue as Hahvok’s did. He looked Hahvok and Zal up and down and then quickly looked around for something. His neck whirred oddly as he did so, as if he were more mechanical than even Hahvok was. Apparently not finding what he was searching for, he finally looked back to the pair of one being, climbing from his pile of wreckage. As he did so, it was revealed that the black cables running along the floor were connected to his head and upper and lower back. He spoke, voice sounding like it was through a different medium than just air, “Greetings, I am Vellem. Welcome to Avalanche Tower 1134A16, floor Cerulean Ice Bat 2617. How may I assist you?” His voice sounded stiff and firm. When he continued it was much looser and sounded like he was happy, “I’m so glad to have visitors! There’s rumors that someone visited up top, but us AI don’t reach up that far, so I’m not sure how true the rumors are. I govern this floor, the maintenance floor below, and the two living space floors above. Well, govern is a little generous. I’m in charge of non-essential systems. And don’t even try to figure out the numbering system. I have no idea how many ‘Avalanche Tower’s there are, let alone what floor we are actually on. For some reason knowing how tall these skyscrapers are is a secret. “So how’d you two get here? Everyone left forever ago.” Hahvok didn’t know what to make of the small being or what his words implied. He didn’t seem to be a threat, despite how odd he was. Zal tilted his head to the side and both of him spoke in unison, “I walked through a portal. I am here to find my purpose.” Vellem’s hand fell off in surprise as Hahvok spoke in unison. He scooped it up and put it back on, twisting it until it clicked into place. “Portal, huh? Sounds like Brutaka Industries wasn’t shut down several hundred thousands years ago, now was it?” Hahvok was silent. Vellem continued, “Well I guess it doesn’t really matter, you’re here now!” This mechanical being was weird. But he looked like small white friend. Hahvok spoke, “What are you?” For some reason, he just realized couldn’t sense this being’s mind. Vellem pulled up a pile of debris and brushed it off before sitting down on it, “Well, I’m modeled after a Ko-Matoran. And Crystal Climber Technologies programmed me to say I’m just an AI, but I was able to at least give myself a few more permissions now that no one has come to check up on Avalanche Tower 1134A16 for, uh…, well, quite a while now. Anyway, I’m no AI. Not really. I used to be a Matoran of Magnetism, but then one thing led to another, several mistakes were made, there was that whole burrito fiasco with the shift manger (not that they could prove anything, mind you), and next thing you know, they made an imprint of my mind and used that as a basis for the AI technology they were developing at the time. Oh, and the process ended up killing me when it was finished. So while I may be standing here before you, the real me has been dead for a looooong time.” Hahvok spoke the word Vellem had called himself, “Matoran…” like he was testing it out. So small white friend outside the portal had been a Ko-Matoran too. Vellem leaned back and looked up several stories, noticing the vines creeping along the ceiling, icicles forming from them. He suddenly sounded concerned, “Uh, one other thing, you might want to watch out for any plants you see. One recently escaped from containment and has been pulling my floors apart. I don’t know why it’s destroying things. It’s why I was hiding. If something moves, it goes for it. The colder the better. But not too cold, apparently.” Hahvok looked up, hope rising within him. Was it his purpose to cleanse the plant from this building? Hahvok raised his shields and his icy blue beams blasted up at the vines, striking them, ice forming where they struck. Vellem screamed, scrambling from his seat and trying to tug on Hahvok’s right arm, “No! You’ll only feed it!” Hahvok continued firing, “Wrong. I shall cleanse it from this place. Plants die from cold.” Vellem sounded desperate, “No! Not this plant! Nonononononono.” He let go of Hahvok and ran away, his cables following him behind him as they dragged on the ground. Meanwhile the vines above started to writhe as if they were alive just like a Rahi. Hahvok thought he was doing well until the vines then started to grow and spread. The ice he was blasting them with was starting to get absorbed. Hahvok was unfazed. He just needed to add more cold, more ice. He continued to shoot his beams of ice creating energy at the ceiling. The plant continued to grow in size, spreading across the sprawling ceiling. There was a loud groaning, then the ceiling gave way to its size and the now large plant crashed to the ground, bringing with it half the ceiling and parts of the walls. A dust of debris filled the air. Still it grew, winding into shops, apartments on higher levels, and through the dirt of the indoor park. Hahvok refocused his aim, still pouring out the beams of power. He continued this for some time, focused on his task. He was sure sustained cleansing was the answer. The vines dug through the tile on the floor like loose sod. They were getting so large they started bending structural supports. Hahvok kept going. The vines covered the massive glass wall and with a show of force, broke it apart. The raging blizzard outside swept quickly piling snow into the gargantuan open space inside the building. Hahvok kept going, his shields’ power endless while tied his machine body. Vellem was saying something, but it was lost to Hahvok’s focus and the roar of the blizzard that was now surging in the space. Hahvok kept going. He kept going as the vines wrapped around his form. He kept going as Zal was swept away. He kept going as the whole building started to groan. He kept going as the floor gave way and the mass of vines fell, freeing both of hims. He finally stopped and quickly froze a platform below him, connected to a wall that remained sound. Zal was hanging on to a pillar that now hung from the ceiling, Ice Picks keeping him safe. The large section of the building continued to collapse below them with a thunderous noise like a world cracking open until the vines were lost from sight to the rage of the storm. Hahvok peered down, emotions clashing within him. It didn’t feel like that was his purpose at all! He still felt empty, unsure of what to do next. “You idiot!” Vellem’s voice came down from a lip that still held out above, “You just gave it exactly what it wanted!” Hahvok didn’t understand and yelled over the storm, “But I cleansed it.” Vellem sounded incredulous, “You just fed it for like five minutes straight and now it’ll be strong enough to survive outside. Then there’s no stopping it on this planet. We’re doomed, not saved!” Hahvok stood there blankly for a moment. Inside, he felt immense frustration. Vellem’s tone changed, “How in the world did you even shoot your element for so long anyway? Are you some sort of short super Toa?” Hahvok didn’t even consider it a feat, “I am a machine powered by an organic, removable brain. I don’t grow tired or need to stop. What is a Toa?” Vellem smacked his mask with his palm, “A Toa is a tall Matoran that can use elements. Goodness, you don’t know much, do you?” Hahvok agreed, “That is correct.” At least he was a master of social situations. Vellem looked around, incredulous, but there was no one else there to share in the moment with him. There hadn’t been for a long time. Hahvok created crude stairs for himselves to climb up, taking care not to slip and tumble down several hundred stories. Vellem was waiting for them at the top. Another massively loud stress groan moved through the building with an almost physical presence. Perhaps he shouldn’t have blasted the plant with his powers after all. That only frustrated Hahvok even more. He needed to find his purpose, whatever it might be. And it seemed like he had just done the opposite. “How do I cleanse it?” Vellem sighed, “No, it’s too late now. You probably would have needed to destroy the generator that powers these four floors’ air conditioning so that the heaters don’t have anything working against them. I would have done it long ago, but I don’t have a body in a place that has long enough cables to get to the generator. And I can’t do it from the building’s server, since I don’t have any of the proper permissions. I was able to hack my self into the heater settings and warm things up best I could, though. Well, hack is a generous term. I turned up a thermostat I found out I could reach.” Hahvok sat there for a while, trying to figure out what he was supposed to do, cursing his mistake. Finally his mind started to wander to other things, thinking of the cold that hurt. “What was the ball of night sky in that tube? It was hurt cold.” Vellem looked at him with hope in his synthetic voice, “Wait, you lived after touching that?” He stood up, voice getting excited, “That’s perfect! Your Destiny must be to travel back to that point in time.” Vellem started pushing him in the direction of the generator and glass tube hallway, “Go! Destroy the generator, fulfil your Duty! Save this dead building from that stupid Morbuzakh-K41.” Hahvok turned to him, “Duty?” Vellem nodded, “Yeah yeah, what you are supposed to do. Your calling. Your purpose. Your obligation.” Hahvok rolled that around his mind. Things seemed to fall into place. Was that his Duty, to cleanse with purpose instead of just trying to cleanse everything he saw? Suddenly he got very excited and rushed for the door, leaving Vellem behind. The mechanical Ko-Matoran called after him, “Take care of yourself! Both of yourselves!” Hahvok quickly found the hallway with the generator once more. The opaque glass of the tube machine slid open as he approached. He stepped inside, both of him, and looked around. What was he supposed to- The door slid closed and a sudden intense chill coarse through his Krana, both of them, and he realized was standing outside the tube, looking in at Zal having just finished touching the small ball of space. The air cooler machine wasn’t knocked over yet. He had made it back. This time, Hahvok turned with purpose and strode for the generator. He lifted up his arms and shoved both shields into the machine, causing a shower of sparks. Then he activated his shields, ice rapidly expanding from the inside out. Black smoke started to pour forth from the machine’s edifices even as there was a great crashing sound as damaged parts froze and tore themselves apart. As the generator was being destroyed, a weight Hahvok didn’t even know he had been carrying was lifted. For the first time since he could remember, he was at peace. He had found his purpose. His Duty. And with it came serenity. With wisdom and knowledge, he would cleanse whatever needed to be cleansed and nothing more, nothing less. He wouldn’t stop. He would fulfill his Duty. He would remain at peace while doing what he was called to do. Even as smoke filled the room, the generator grinding to a halt as well as the air cooler machine, a rainbow glow emerged behind him. Hahvok turned and stepped through the Far Shore portal once more. OOC: @Unreliable Narrator @Eyru @Vezok's Friend This post concludes Hahvok's Far Shore Adventure.

It’s something I earn every day. You’re just like me. You take what’s already there and you make it your own all for your own benefit.” Cravious pointed an accusatory finger at the Great Spirit and only then did he realize it was solid and not warping around. His nightmare had ceased. This was real. Cravious took an unconscious step back, nightmare suddenly re-emerging, yet Irnakk unchanging. He swallowed hard and slowly got on his seemingly warping knees. He tried to salvage what had surely been his death sentence, anger fleeing from his body like Stone Rats from a sinking ship, “Which is why I am proud to be able to follow in your footsteps. To warp this world into submission. Voracious is yours, given back to you. We avoided the volcano while Yumiwak sacrificed so as not to disturb any offers given to you. We left a Zivon to its work. We looked on as a glorious Tahtorak headed north. “I’m just hoping to be able to experience the joy of being filled with your hidden knowledge as Whira is. Please, most gracious god of nightmares. You can see my mind. You know I am filled with a fresh and unending nightmare, as I hope makes you proud.” OOC: @Unreliable Narrator @~Xemnas~
  23. I was mistaken with how a couple things work with the Kaita mechs. Most notably Time Duplication. As such, these posts are going to be rewritten/removed: Post 1, Post 2, and Post 3. I apologize for the inconvenience this causes to all involved. I will edit this post to confirm when I have made the changes. EDIT: Changes have been made. Viltia is no longer attacking Zataka, Korio, or Opal. This most notably affects @Smudge8, @Vezok's Friend, @Tarn, and @Gecko Greavesy. By extension, this also affects @BULiK, @Unreliable Narrator, @~Xemnas~, and @EmperorWhenua.
  24. IC: Sorilax Life Seeker - Aspect of Light and Silence Location - Elemental Temple of Light With - Mahrika, Bellicus Kastus, One, Two The crystal pillars continued to flicker with strange symbols that ran vertically down their surfaces from vaulted ceiling to submerged floor. Sorilax’s up close analysis did not offer any new details. The Administrator, however, did. It really did seem like it was beholden to obey input commands. And thankfully this time it actually answered him. Without its direction, he would be lost in this room. Sorilax was busy inspecting the crystal pillar and so missed what Mahrika had done, but he heard her question and replied, “We are figuring out how to safely interact with the room.” Two had seen what Mahrika had done and was very confused by the action, but he did not mention it to the others since they were busy. Sorilax, with One’s help, limped over to the Wall of Prophecy. The Matoran letters still raced by with indecipherable speed. If reality was stated here, then maybe he could figure out how to use this room. This wall definitely seemed like the safer thing to start learning how to interact with, though his mind pondered the implications of a Mask of Life. “Administrator, how do I make the text of the Wall of Prophecy readable?” OOC: @Harvali @Unreliable Narrator
