  1. I think it is the other way around. Ta, Ko, Po, Ga, Le, Onu, De, Bo, and all the other prefixes are the Matoran equivalent to that element. So, Ta means fire. Our six main heroes, the Toa Mata, were named with their assigned element.
  2. I was skeptical at first. But, I am glad I caved in to watch it. Loved it!
  3. I think there are more than just Ekimu and Makuta, but they are just the best. Also, I am fairly certain other islands have other elements. In the Netflix series it is stated that the Toa are there for the elements of their island, which to me, implied there were other islands with different elements. Back to the Mask maker idea, though, it would be odd that there were only two.
  4. I always thought it was implied that the Great Beings were loosely based on LEGO fans.
  5. I thought they explained it fairly well. Basically, Mata Nui knew that if he stuck around people would see him as the leader of this new world. He wanted them, the Agori and Matoran, to work together. To come together not by one common leader, but by a common bond. They defeated evil together. It is time to rebuild their world together. So, he returned to live in the Ignika. I would imagine legends will be told that finding or using the Ignika will return Mata Nui and bring peace to Spherus Magna once more.
  6. Makuta Terridax put the Mata Nui robot into a coma. If he took over the robot too soon Mata Nui may be able to fight back. The six Makuta sent to fight the Nuva in Karda Nui were the best Makuta, aside from himself. So, he convinced them to delay the Toa, but not to kill them. They didn't realize, though, that once the Mata Nui robot was awake Karda Nui would be incinerated by the energy storms. And that got rid of the Makuta who may have been able to stop him.
  7. The masks were created, both regular and nuva, by Artakha. They were also hidden across Mata Nui by Artakha as a test.
  8. It isn't a BIONICLE Fan Fiction. And, I double checked. Bone Hunter isn't a trademarked term, so I am ok, there. I will post more than soon, so you can get more of a feel. Glad you liked the first little bit at least.
  9. Hey guys, I wrote a short story a while ago. I am posting the intro of it to see what people think of it. So, let me know! The story is titled 'Tulang the Bone Hunter' and takes place is a fantasy world I created. If there was one thing a Bone Hunter knew more than killing, it was waiting. He would wait for days, weeks even, just to get the perfect shot. He would track his prey. Learn their patterns and watch their routines. Then, he would wait. On this particular hunt he had been waiting for two days. Not moving from his spot. Bugs and lizards crawled over him. Birds perched on his shoulder and raised arm, tearing into his skin. Still, he waited. Not saying a word. Not moving or flinching. He was a living statue. After two days the jungle had claimed him. Mud and dirt buried him past his shins. Vines grew around his body. It wouldn't be long until his entire body was lost. Then, his target approached. The Bone Hunter's eyes narrowed as he watched. His prey walked into his line of sight. Whistling. Cheerful. Completely oblivious his death was just seconds away. As the hunter's victim glanced in his direction he pulled back on the arrow he had been holding for two days, and fired.
  10. The minifigures don't need to be on the base at all. It is all about the Blue Circles they call Toy Tags. There are two kinds, the character ones, and the vehicle ones. The minigifure Toy Tag has a paint job on the top reflecting the character based on it, while the vehicle/object one is blank. When you place them on the portal there is a chip that gets read. The characters get read as who they are and can be played as them. The vehicles, though, are re-writable because you can rebuild the object.
  11. Maybe they are part of a smaller tribe not yet represented? I only think this way because I still see Makuta as a being of Shadow. Or, maybe, they are different elements than the rest, but came from the same place the Toa did. Remember in the animations it said the Toa had vague memories of Ekimu, so they knew him at one point.
  12. Their first duty as Toa is to protect the Matoran. You have to remember, back then the Makuta were still seen as good. SOme were suspicious of their actions and motives, though. So, if you hear that a supposed good guy is up to something nefarious, you would want to protect those he may harm. In this case, finding refuge for the Matoran. They could go and fight Makuta, try and defeat him, but if they lost his reign of terror would continue. At least in this case the Matoran have a chance of surviving away from Makuta. Not to mention the Great Cataclysm. The Great Cataclysm caused the Mata Nui robot to crash into Aqua Magna. The suns died, and all that were left were dimming stars. If it seems like your land is experiencing the end of the world you try and get out. Not stick through it.
  13. I am fairly certain the mask on the pedestal was the Golden Mask of Skull Spiders. Just for the sole fact it came with the Lord of Skull Spiders set and in his bio it said he uses it. So my guess is the Lord of Skull Spiders took it, and stowed it away in its lair somewhere.
  14. The way I interpreted the island's regions was that before the Great Cataclysm it may have been mostly water and jungle. The other regions were there, but without much significance to it. Like the region of fire was still hotter than other places, but still had plenty of water and trees you couldn't really differentiate aside from the temperature. Than when the Great Cataclysm happened that only enhanced the regions' features. So now Stone is in a desert and fire in a volcano-like wasteland. And, if the Great Cataclysm did do so much damage as before as it hinted at, it could be that the Ancient City was in the region of Jungle until afterwards. Now, residing toward the edges of the region of Water. And it is known that Ekimu knows Skull Grinder's name. There could be several reasons why they chose not to include it story-wise. They could have a belief that names are power. So, saying his name would give him power. Or, on the flip side, they don't want to honor or respect Skull Grinder enough to say his name. Yes, it is said in the promotional that Skull Slicer is a 'fallen hero.' It is known that Kulta used the mask of creation to form his skull army. So, I wouldn't be surprised if more than just skull slicer was a fallen hero. And, with how short and few the animations are, they can't really deviate from the main story. Possibly in book 2 they might delve deeper into that. As for why he is a cackling monster, if you were raised form the dead by the power of evil, basically forgetting who you were, I would imagine you wouldn't have much intellect for a good time before you come to realize what is really going on. And even by then it could be too late.
