  1. At first I was curious Then I saw the Bastion soundtrack. Then I got slightly psyched.
  2. IC: Troghout the exchange, Hua had stayed silent. Once again, his mind was not helping. Do you want to be helped or not? He thought to himself. No, the Akira has no time for this, one thought went. Yes, I am no use to anybody if it keeps going like this, other thoughts went So for a while yet he stood in silence, like he did in the tunnels. The muscles in his right hand were flexing, and anxiety and dread slowly crept up. Soon he would have to say something/everything to the Akiri... That he was weak.
  3. IC: "No" Hua replied simply and solemny. "It seems the Akari is rather busy". It was a bit difficult for him, he longed to speak to... wisdom, but the longer he waited the more anxious he became about the whole ordeal.
  4. IC: Hua could not but help overhear, and overlook, the conversation those two Toa were having. He reacted, as always, with mixed feelings. Such Naïvitie that these showed was perhaps a glimmer of... youth? That this world desperetaly needed. But this world never got what it needed. These Toa wouldn't get far...
  5. Fear not, those who have been longtime awaaayyy It's just one big happy reeuunniiiooon Except with more muuurdeeer
  6. IC: "It actually is a bit too much to ask, Toa" Hua stated almost harshly as he continued his pace, his teeth clenched tightly together to prevent them for gritting again. He refused to speak the rest of the way, trying to fight back the memories. After what seemed an agonizingly long time for Hua and an rather awkward time for Andrex, they arrived at Onu-Koro. Hua wasted no time and immeaditely proceeded to the Akiri's hut, politily requesting an audience for the Toa of Fire accompanying him. OOC: That is, if Nuju Metru is there?
  7. I posted it wrong in the topic and had to look it up - I tend ot get really silly when there's multiple a's and u's and i's involved
  8. IC: The question stung. It made him grit his teeth as the thoughts of the past months came flowing back to him in a hurry. "Not anymore" he stated, becoming both brisk in tone as in pace.
  9. Is Akira Nuparu still being played by a BZRPG member? Is this member active? Is Akira Nuparu of Onu-Koro taking visitors? Am I forgiven for consistently hustling the U's and A's in Akira Nuparu's name around ?
  10. IC: "Our Akira Naparu may, or may not, be open for questions, depending. Things have been rather busy, after all. I can take you to him - in the meantime, you can ask me - if you would follow me, Toa" he stated politily, as he began to walk to his home village.
  11. 'curious' he thought, his thoughts now clearly focused on the toa in front of him, his anger and sarrow further subduing in his subconscious for the time being. 'how would this man not know where he is?' - he expected a bit more from a toa. It would seem obvious after all. "You are now halfway down the great onu-korean highway between Le-Koro and Onu-Koro." he announced in a matter-of-fact way, "Currently you are very close to mining operation five, which may or may not expand to the area you are now standing on - and I can take you to Onu-Koro if you wish."
  12. IIRC, removing the mask of any living creature will remove it from all of it's power, eventually causing that creature to shut down entirely (The Toa Mata tamed the Rahski thus).
  13. IC: Hua instinctively became slightly more relaxed, as all Matoran did around the Toa, countermanded by some uncocious agony that always companied those feelings. "Friend", he uttered, stepping into view. 'A toa', he noted. 'So much more of them around these days.' 'only to further escalate the murder'. He pushed his feelings back, determined to not let anything everything show, instead having a determined focus on small details. He could recognize the smash of metal against rock from miles away, and today was no different. The toa in front of him was over-cautious, but this had no effect on Hua's mood, too focused on his internals to show anything but general apathy towards outsiders. "My name is Hua" he reluctantly announced. "Something tells me you ain't from 'round these parts", he noted, in a slight imitation of the Ta''s accent.
  14. It's impossible to tell everyone apart when they are changing names every month or so though
  15. IC: Even in his state, however, Hua could not help but notice that the lightning in the tunnel had begun to change. It put him on edge, his mood swinging around like the axe of a berserker, each facet of his personality struggling to find a response and struggling to let that response dominate the others. His hands became clam as he dreaded having to explain why exactly he had been staring at rocks for several hours. His mind considered the possibility of open hostility, and he fearfully began to grasp at his hammer. It was not built as a weapon, but it was built to break things. His mind debated with itself: "hostile" "friendly" "I will have to explain my stupidity" "I can go home and relax and forget this day" "I shouldn't forget this day" After what seemed like an eternity, he finally found the courage to answer: "Who goes there?" he inquired, finally pulling himself away from the wall and adopting a sense of apathy, unwilling to let his conflicting emotions show. That his emotions should stay hidden was the only thing all the aspects of his personality agreed on.
  16. This particular statement would vary wildly on your on cultural background though. What is considered left wing in the US would be considered right wing in the Netherlands, whilst in the past some BZP policies would be off the political scale here. It's invariably the result of the internet being a global community and as such offering a very wide variety of cultural views. If you combine quite a few of them in one policy you end up with something that will be rated "left wing" or "right wing" based entirely on the commentator's cultural background.
  17. nonconventional sexualities are going to grow up regardless of your or our intervention. As it happens, being LGBTQ is NOT an opinion. It's simply something who you are, and it is as much an unchangable part of your identity as your gender (which is why being trans is rather painfull), your ethnicity, your shoe size, etc. Denying people to talk about these things would be denying them to be themselves - and that actually DOES cause significant problems growing up.
  18. It should probably be mentoined that I have a character that is open for interaction. He's been getting spells of willlessness lately. Hello indeed!
  19. OOC: re-introducing Hua. IC: The faults were obscured by his own breath. Strange. It should not be so cold down here. Or perhaps it wasn’t the cold but merely that he has stood here. Immobile. For several hours. They would probably wonder where he was now. His eyes simply weren’t observing anything, even if the breath would not have been in the way. His eyes were fixed upon a huge fracture in the stone, disordening the otherwise rather regular layers that appeared troughout this segment. He knew those layers were the results of sediment being passed down from Mount Ihu. He knew the fractures were the result of tectonic activity caused by the same powers that drove the Mangai Vulcano. He knew that the magma of Mangai could pass up trough those fractures, causing the rocks around them to shift and change, forming the valuable lightstones that the Onu Korans craved. Likewise, the ignious stones from the mount itself could, in a process that took an incomprehinsible amount of time, pass up between huge fractures. He knew that, because he had seen it before, deducing as such from the evidence around him. And before that, he had seen it too. And before that, he had seen it too. He couldn’t even remember when someone had first taught it him. It all seemed so… pointless. He was restless, strangely enough. Him standing immobile for two hours, causing his body temperature to drop to a level that nearly caused his brain to have a kernel panic, did not seem to calm it down at all. Instead, he was tense. Despites his eyes seeing nothing, his brain registering nothing, his muscles were flexing. The fingers that grasped his hammer were flexing and moving and betrayed his ultimately restless state. His cognetive processes were buzzing about. Conflicted. ‘mabye you should write something down’ ‘mabye you should stay here’ ‘mabye you should pick up that hammer and take a sample’ ‘mabye you should drop that hammer and sit down’ ‘MAYBE I SHOULD PICK UP THAT HAMMER AND BASH IN MY SKULL!’ ‘No! You don’t deserve to die like that!’ ‘No! You deserve to keep living like this!’ Meanwhile, the faultlines weren’t going anywhere… They’d probably find him soon. Probably.
  20. Morgoth created the orcs by taking elves and doing... stuff. He also was an opressive tyrant, and indeed not a very good deal.
  21. Actually it can, and it does, since Darkness simply does not exist. What we call "darkness" is simply the non-existence of light, the absence of any power - but it is not in itself a power. A being of darkness does technically not project power himself, but rather pushes other's away or snuffes it out of existence, hence it being associated with destruction.
  22. Actually, this is something that I've thought about it for a time. Admittedly, Makuta is a god of death, darkness, and destruction. That being said, he is also a god of power, ambition, and ruthlessness. None of these things are necessarily evil on their own; it's simply that Makuta and most of his followers use these concepts to sow corruption and further their own aims. However, these same concepts could be used by a morally-upright individual to bring justice to the island, if used carefully and conscientiously. This reminds me of Morgoth in Tolkien's mythology (for those not in the loop, Morgoth is Sauron's boss). Middle Earth was created by a carefully orchestrated song. However, Morgoth, the lead singer, felt that the original script was too tightly packed, and he argued that a perfect world could not exist without imperfection and emptyness. As such, he intentionally sang wrong to create disharmony in the world, thus causing *all* of the events that would follow in Tolkien's mythology. One could argue that the characters in Tolkien's mythology would never have reached their full potential without that disharmony.
  23. I agree with "graphics are overrated", but I disagree with a few points:Games get discounted after a while - this is true, but for some reason, PC games get discounted a lot faster and sooner. Steam (iTunes for PC games) regularely holds 75% discounts or similar nonsense with games that are less then a year old, which is something you will not find in the console world.Big AAA titles? I disagree with that one too. I have seen several big AAA titles that are PC exclusive (Total War, Arma 3), or restricted on the consoles (Battlefield) and with the new console generation being all x86-architecture, multiplatforming is going to be a lot easier in the future.I don't play MMOs and therefore will not argue for or against them - I can only say that LoL and DOTA are not MMOs, they are... "action strategy games" (although I don't agree with the term).Lastly, I am in a Battlefield clan, and have seen plenty of console gamers buying PCs because they didn't want to miss out on the best games . I heard something about Gran Turismo 6 coming out later this year, mabye you should look at that one too. ---AAAANYYwayy. What do you guys think about the new Need for Speed - Rivals?
  24. Not really. The problem with "Stone" is that it is a collection of materials sticking together, whilst "Crystal" is a certain shape in which a material can occur. Stones can be sedimentary (basically, compacted earth or seabeds turned into stone - causing overlap with Toas of Earth), or a conglemarate of several minerals. Even though minerals are crystalline in nature, they don't always occur as actual crystals. In short, stones are absolutey not crystals. They do contain crystals, and a lot of crystalline material, but they are by no means crystal shaped.Sand is, for all intents and purposes, stone. Stone which has been reduced to really really really tiny bits. Although it does contain quartz crystals, it also contains many more materials besides, part of them crystallic in shape, part of them not. A lightstone is not a stone at all. From my recollection of a lightstone, it is a single material which has a very distinct crystal facing (those perfect shapes along which crystals break). Therefore, by it's very definition, it is a mineral, not a stone.
