Official BBC Contest #81: Water You Building!
Tufi Piyufi posted a topic in Bionicle-Based Creations
Official BBC Contest #81: Water You Building! Water! It's great. It's everywhere. It's most of everyone. You don't have much of a future without it. It leaves its mark on the world in countless ways, from mighty canyons to the empty glasses surrounding you right now. There is no one way to water. That's why the essence of wetness itself is our latest contest theme. Build something on the subject of water. Toa of Water? Aquatic life? The very seas themselves? Take a swing at it. Water, of course, is also the theme for this year's Brickfair Virginia. While this contest is connected to our usual Brickfair presence, we're changing things up this year. You don't have to send your entry to Brickfair to be eligible for the polls, but it will make you eligible for a raffle. One lucky entrant will win a 5002942 Bionicle Villain Pack! If you do choose to send your entry, please make sure it gets to Black Six no later than July 28. See our Convention Circuit topic for more info, including goodies! So what are you waiting for? Dive in! ------------------------- You have from now until Tuesday, June 27th at 11:59 P.M. Eastern to submit your entries. To submit your entries, just use this handy form. Only one entry per person, please. ------------------------- Voting: Final Voting begins June 29th and ends July 2nd at 11:59 P.M. Eastern. The contest winner and final voting results will be posted in a separate thread on July 4th. ------------------------- Rules: 1) Entries may not have been posted on BZPower prior to the start of the contest. It can be posted anywhere else before the contest, but it must never have been seen before on BZPower. Once entered, entries cannot be modified: you're committed to what you've entered. If you withdraw your entry, you cannot enter again that contest. If your entry is disqualified, you cannot enter again that contest. 2) Painted parts, non-LEGO parts, and parts edited in Photoshop are not permitted and will disqualify you. All other LEGO pieces are permitted, but the entry must be at least 75% Bionicle/Hero Factory/Technic. 3) Keep it clean, keep it civil. No flaming, no whining. Unsporting conduct will just get you disqualified. 4) Campaigning for votes (mass-PMing, etc), using multiple accounts to skew voting, and sundry other methods of cheating are only going to end in tears for you. Trust us: we'll know when you're doing it. --------------------------------------- Prizes: First place will receive a 70787 Tahu - Master of Fire. Second place will receive a 70783 Protector of Fire. Of the entries on display at Brickfair Virginia, one will be chosen by random draw to receive a 5002942 Bionicle Villain Pack. Thanks to Lego for the prizes! --------------------------------------- Contest Hosts: Tufi Piyufi Black Six Well, what are you waiting for? Get building! -

Official SBC Contest 4: The Gift That Keeps On Giving! We kicked off 2023 with the first new Bionicle release in years, 40581 Tahu and Takua. It's great to see Bionicle get a little more official love, even if it's in a different form than usual. Honestly, isn't "built different" at the core of Bionicle anyways? Now you're going to build different, but the same, if you catch me. What we want this time is for you to build a Bionicle set in the style of 40581 Tahu and Takua. Pick a set, view it from a more System-based lens, and get to work! G1 or G2, it's all good. Just put those bricks to use! And by bricks, I mean ones made of either plastic or code. Digital entries are welcome in this contest. And while we're at it, custom stickers are also welcome in this contest. You're not required to ask us to imagine real hard what your printed Kanohi would look like. We're not going to sit around and imagine your MOCs, though. Get building! ------------------------- You have from now until Sunday, March 26th at 11:59 P.M. Eastern to submit your entries. To submit your entries, just use this handy form. The Printed Parts Spectacular!
Tufi Piyufi replied to Tufi Piyufi's topic in Bionicle-Based Creations
Without further ado, let's pick a winner! We've assigned each participant a number, like so: 1. Nato G 2. tourmalinex 3. Xboxtravis 4. 12382 5. Voxumo Then we turn to treasured resource Random.org to give us a number between 1 and 5, and: Congratulations Xboxtravis! And thanks to everyone who showed off their stuff; you've got some excellent taste and/or modelling skills. Maybe we'll do this again sometime! -

Fantastic! Thanks to everyone who showed off their stuff - we'll get that draw going and a gift card sent out soon. -
The Printed Parts Spectacular! The rise of 3D printing has been a boon to Bionicle fans. It might have some other uses, but it's been revolutionary for bringing masks, weapons, and other cool parts to life. You want some accessories straight out of the MNOLG? How about movie accurate limbs? I bet you'd be down for a replica of a prototype mask... And while you could display these fan creations on their own, there's plenty of fun to be had using them in MOCs. Just ask anyone who's built a MOC with printed parts! In fact, I'll make it super easy to do that. Our mission this month is to highlight 3D-printed parts and the MOCs using them. This isn't a contest, but a showcase. Post your MOC(s) that have 3D-printed parts in this topic! It doesn't matter how old they are. If you posted a topic for it, go ahead and link it; there's no revival for anything shared in this showcase. We're on a mission to look at the cool things you're doing or have already done, and no way are you getting punished for being ahead of the curve. For extra motivation, one lucky participant will get a $25 USD Shapeways gift card! They'll be chosen at random, and it's one entry per person posting MOCs. You can post as many as you like, you just get the one shot at the card. "But Tufi!" you say. "By giving out a gift card to people who already own 3D-printed pieces, you aren't increasing the number of people who can participate in this area of fandom!" You're right, of course. That's why we're running a raffle for another $25 USD Shapeways gift card, free for anyone to enter! Posting runs from now until Saturday, December 31st at 11:59 PM Eastern. Now let's see some MOCs!
