  1. IC: Lekona - Food Court Lekona's eyes widened noticing the approach of the...Bohrok? "Artorre! Olari! Zakaro!" The Toa shouted to his companions, "One of you wanna stop that Bohrok before he tries to smash this thing?"
  2. IC: Lekona - Food Court "Elittra!" Lekona shouted, spotting the familiar matoran. He was about to use his Kualsi to go to her, but Artorre was already on it. With that dealt with, Lekona's eyes were drawn to the Gem. "Well, that's sure convenient." Hearing Olari's suggestion, Lekona nodded. "Not a problem." The Le-Toa gathered his elemental energies, and drew his sword to channel his powers more easily, before forming a cyclone around the Gem as asked.
  3. IC: Lekona - Food Court "So Infinite Gems it is? Alright then," Lekona said, jumping up from his seat with a grin. "I'll fill you guys in on what we know form our initial attempt to nab one once we're out of the Food Court and out of earshot of..." Lekona paused glancing at the Toa who had eavesdropped on them earlier for a brief moment, "...any unwanted guests."
  4. IC: Lekona - Food Court Lekona sighed as Zakaro walked off. "Well, that certainly could've gone better," Lekona said, before turning, hearing Olari's response. She still has a purpose...one not unlike the purpose that drove me years ago. I'll do whatever I can to help her get back to them. That will be my purpose. Its better than it just being trying to win this tournament. "Right. It might be possible for us to take them down at some point, but right now, we need to avoid making these guys angry."
  5. IC: Lekona - Food Court "What good is that going to accomplish?" Lekona said to Olari, "We all saw the sort of power the Queen had back when that rahkshi spoke out of turn when we all came here. No doubt this guy is as powerful, or stronger, and I doubt they'd bring anyone here who they couldn't take down. If you get yourself killed, what's going to happen to those Matoran back on your home?" Lekona hated to see a matoran die...but trying to help would just add to it. Having already lost his village, he didn't want Olari to foolishly bring the same fate upon hers.
  6. IC: Lekona - Food Court "Yeah, I know of the Bohrok. I remember them all too well. Back when I was a Matoran, I lived on Mata-Nui." Lekona said. But if she's still on Mata-Nui and the Bohrok are still active...she's clearly from an alternate universe, like many here...but what could've gone so horribly wrong? "I know Artorre because we met up before the first round. Went into a cave with a matoran who has been in this tournament before, named Elittra. I'll explain that little journey in a bit, but first," Lekona responded to Olari, before turning to Zakaro, "What's your story?"
  7. IC: Lekona - Food Court "Not much of anything, really. Back home, the village I defended was razed years ago. I'd been wandering the forests on Spherus Manga ever since." Lekona said, before continuing to eat his food.
  8. So Shadow Hand absorbtion is a complete no-no? I recall Miras using it at one point in Round 1, though it of course wasn't on an actual person.
  9. IC: Lekona - Food Court Lekona shrugged, "Heck if I know." Lekona looked around the food court, and spotted his Ta-Toa ally. "Well, its been nice talking to you, but I should go and meet up with Artorre now. If you want, you could come join us once you've grabbed your food!" Lekona said, waving as he ran over to Artorre and sat at the table. "So, this Onu-Toa is your new friend, Artorre?" The Le-Toa inquired, glancing at Zakaro.
  10. IC: Lekona "I appreciate the compliment," Lekona said, smirking, "but, the versatility you have with those metal poles is really something else. It really lets you adapt to the situation, even though they're so ordinary."
  11. IC: Lekona "Same to you," Lekona said, shaking Olari's hand. "I gotta be honest, I'd gotten a bit sloppy. Fighting you was just the challenge I needed to get myself back into things. Though, I could have done without the numerous headaches." Lekona chuckled.
  12. IC: Lekona Lekona turned to the voice of Olari. "Yeah, no hard feelings. Out of curiousity, what's your name? I'm Lekona."
  13. IC: Lekona "Eh, sure, why not. If we can turn this fellow into an ally for next round, that'd probably make our lives easier. Especially if our archer decides to walk off a cliff again." Lekona said, smirking. "Speaking of Elittra though, after we meet up with this gentleman, would you like to go find her and try to take another go at that gem thing?" The Toa asked, as he followed Artorre.
  14. IC: Lekona Lekona felt himself being pulled into his own tornado by the magnetic fields. He didn't have the time to teleport himself away, but he also knew if he stopped his attack now, he would lose any advantage he had. He would need to let himself be battered around by his own tornado, and push himself out as soon as he could...or he would have, but before any of that could happen, Lekona found himself waking up in the medbay. "I see. So the round ended." Lekona picked himself, and went to grab his sword, only to find it...looking odd, it seemed one side of it had been...dislodged? Fantastic job at fixing everything, staff. Broke my sword. It was then that the Toa noticed a note. It seemed it had been stored between the blades, tucked away for who knows how long. Lekona picked it up, and read it. Its...its a note from him...the one who crafted my sword. Apparently, the sword can be split into two halves...and they can be used as swords or as gliders. Lekona smirked a bit. He was something else. Just wish...he was still around so I could thank him. Lekona snapped himself back into focus. He picked up his sword, and put the dislodged side back into place, and stored the sword on his back once more. As he looked around to find his Ta-Toa ally, he spotted him leaving the Medbay. Lekona ran towards him quickly, catching up to him soon enough, as he called out to him. "Hey! Artorre!"
  15. Submitting Lekona for reapproval, with a change to his weapon. Name: Lekona Power/Weapon 1: A golden sword; it can be split into two swords, and these halves can also be used as gliders. Power/Weapon 2: Kanohi Kualsi; a mask that allows Lekona to teleport himself and objects to a location within his sight range. Power/Weapon 3: Standard Elemental control over Air. Appearance: Lekona is a slender Toa of Air; he is primarily dark green, with lots of golden armor. Bio: Lekona was a lone Toa who successfully guarded a small group of Matoran of various tribes for quite some time. Lekona became quite accomplished and capable through this time, but at one time, while Lekona was on patrol, their village was attacked and completely destroyed. This destroyed Lekona's drive, and led to him wandering, depressed and drained of the joy Le-Toa are known to have. It was while he was in this state that he was taken from his world. To Lekona, Bionifight is a saviour, giving him new purpose. Personality/Other: Male. Unlike most Matoran/Toa/Turaga of Air, Lekona does not use treespeak. He once did, but since the destruction of the village he protected, he has abandoned it. Outside of the arena, Lekona is indifferent to most things, though he does find himself bored, so he won't mind going along with others on adventures if he finds their company enjoyable. In the arena, the thrill of the fight and having a purpose fills Lekona with joy and allows him to act like his old self again. Lekona values his golden armor, kanohi, and sword above all else. The armor and sword were crafted by a close Po-Matoran friend from his village, and the Kualsi by his best friend, a Ta-Matoran not of the village, who Lekona hopes is still safe wherever he is. They were given their brilliant shine by a close Av-Matoran friend who acted as the elder of the village Lekona once defended. Due to this, despite their shine making him an easy target in the arena, Lekona continues to carry and wear them with pride.
  16. OOC: Sorry about taking so long to respond, Ultron. School and stuff. IC: Lekona - Mount Ihu Lekona had just gotten things back into focus, when he noticed his opponent's movements. Wait a tic...If she moves back, then won't... It took only a quick glance behind him to confirm that the metal poles were closing in. Lekona moved quickly, manipulating the wind around him to carry him forward into the air to avoid the metal poles and position himself a decent distance above them and away from them. Alright, that's enough of that. I need to do something here. Close-up is too dangerous. My wind blasts aren't working as well since she's on the ground. I need something...stronger...like... Lekona nearly facepalmed when he realized his answer. A cyclone! Of course! I'm sloppier than I thought I'd be. Thinking of this would've been pretty useful while we were airborne. Oh well. As his thoughts finished, Lekona mustered up his elemental powers, forming a cyclone near Olari, and with a push sent it moving towards her.
  17. IC: Lekona - Mount Ihu Lekona was no genius, but it didn't take a genius to figure out that Olari was attempting to blindside Lekona by forcing his hand up in front of his eyes. The Toa of Air acted quickly, lifting his other hand, and shooting out another blast of wind at Olari. It'd be hard to miss with the two as close together as they were, but even if the blast were to miss its mark, it would still shoot Lekona back, giving him some distance...but it wasn't fast enough. With the Le-Toa's vision blocked by his own hand, he couldn't see the incoming attack, and even as his wind blast sent him backwards, it hit him. Not with all of its initially intended force, but it dislodged his mask again, and the hit gave Lekona another headache. Great Spirits, my head. The Le-Toa thought, as he stood up, securing his mask once more, and bringing down his hand. This is hardly going well. I've dealt some decent blows while in close range, but her magnetic fields are making fighting close-up difficult...and if I go too far, I'll lose sight of her in the snow storm again, and I'll have to telegraph my attack with a gust of wind again. As Lekona thought, he gathered the air around him into his sword, and slashed through the air, releasing a blast of wind from it in Olari's direction as he did so, hoping to at least keep her at range while he gets things into focus once more.
  18. IC: Lekona - Mount Ihu As Lekona pulled his sword back following the parry, he felt the field pulling at his mask. The Le-Toa moved quickly, using wind to push his Kanohi towards his face to slow his mask's escape, while he pulled a hand up to secure it once more, while he moved out of the magnetic field, before stepping forward and slashing once more at Olari, this time aiming lower than he had with his initial slash.. The magnetic fields were a big threat, and Lekona couldn't afford to give his opponent time to muster one again. It was imperative that he kept the pressure on his opponent and made it difficult for his opponent to take the mask again.
  19. IC: Lekona - Mount Ihu Getting even a moment of rest is becoming a pain...oh well, my head stopped spinning, so let's get back into this. Its not gonna be easy to get to him when he's in there, but... Lekona quickly looked behind him to confirm what he had hoped. He had intended to teleport himself to an area between Artorre and Olari, and he had succeeded in his panic, thank the Great Spirit. Having turned to face Olari, his back was to Artorre, so he no longer had to fear letting loose his powers on his opponent. The Le-Toa used his Kualsi to get him into the air once more, at a vantage point where he was above the metal poles, so his next attack would not be blocked by them. The Toa took a moment to gather his elemental energy, before loosing another powerful gust of air towards where he approximated the center of the spinning poles to be. Regardless of whether it hit its mark or not, the gust cleared away the snow, allowing Lekona to teleport to Olari's location and take another slash at her.
  20. IC: Lekona - Mount Ihu Lekona's eyes shot wide open as the field came into effect and sent him flying. The Le-Toa quickly realized what was happening - like what happened when he pulled his sword out, his opponent was intending to send him into one of the rotating metal poles. However, there were only three of them, and it had only been moments ago, that Lekona had been above and seen the positions of them. Lekona used his wind to alter his angle, and squeeze in between the poles. Well, that would've been the case, if his wind hadn't caused the poles to start wobbling, Lekona barely hit one of the wobbling poles, and went spinning through the air before landing. Ugh, my head...Need some time to gather my bearings. With this thought going through his head, upon landing, Lekona used his elemental power to kick up as much snow around him as he could to give him some cover, before using his Kualsi to teleport away and into the cover of the snowstorm once more.
  21. IC: Lekona - Mount Ihu Noticing his opponent's descent, Lekona followed him. Out of his element, it wouldn't be as easy to out-maneuver his opponent, but it was fine. At least for the moment, Lekona had an idea of how to take advantage of the situation. Lekona released another large blast of wind towards Olari. While it'd be nice if this one sent his opponent a distance, his goal was to knock away the enemy's metal poles, knock them a distance away, at least momentarily. Then, the Le-Toa quickly used the Kualsi to teleport himself beside the opposing Fa-Toa, and slashed horizontally at Olari upon arrival. It'd be easier to catch his opponent by surprise from behind, but doing so had a high chance of his attack being ineffective due to the quiver. Lekona wasn't going to make that mistake twice.
  22. IC: Lekona - Mount Ihu Lekona slowed as he noticed it become much more difficult to keep himself airborne. What's going on here? The new struggles were very concentrated, and it took the Toa only a second to realize that this was coming from the direction of where he had been fighting Olari moments ago. Lekona let himself go with the current as he edged his way out, until he eventually made it, at which point he propelled himself forward quickly in case the Toa was tracking Lekona. At that point, Lekona gathered wind around him, and sent a powerful blast in the general direction of Olari, the blast wide enough that it'd be difficult for it to completely miss the Fa-Toa. Olari wouldn't find Lekona at the source, however. The instant the blast was fired off, the Le-Toa had used his Kualsi to teleport away, escaping once more into the cover of the snowstorm.
  23. IC: Lekona - Mount Ihu The Toa of Air realized a bit too late what was happening. He began to turn around, and began using his elemental powers to slow himself, but it didn't didn't prevent him from slamming into one of the metal poles. Well, this isn't going well. Lekona's eyes quickly darted away from Olari and once they had reached where he wanted - the border of where his sight range would take him - Lekona activated his Kualsi. Once teleported, the Toa propelled himself quickly into the cover of the snowstorm. For the time being, he needed to escape, at least until he could find a way through that defense his enemy had set up. Though, it was doubtful his opponent would give him much of a break, so Lekona kept moving through his cover, hoping to keep his adversary off him for at least a little while.
  24. IC: Lekona - Mount Ihu Well. That didn't go quite as planned. As Olari spun around to face the Le-Toa, Lekona acted quickly, channeling his elemental power through his sword, blasting the enemy Toa's back, and the wound the sword had made. Lekona's intent was to free his sword, and make some decent distance between the two. He didn't enjoy being close to all those rods. If the blast damaged or distracted his opponent, that was just a bonus.
  25. IC: Lekona - Mount Ihu Seeing the incoming attacks, Lekona knew he had to move quickly. The Le-Toa decided the best way to escape was in a direction that a pole wasn't coming from: down. Releasing the air that held him airborne, Lekona plummeted through the sky, and the Le-Toa shot a gust of wind above him to both accelerate his descent and knock the pole from above off its course and away from him. Once Lekona had fallen under the cover of the snowstorm and out of the Toa of Magnetism's sight range, the Toa of Air brought wind around him once more to silently move him forward undeneath the snow's cover, and when he had moved sufficiently forward, he turned around and came up once more, activating his Kualsi the instant he saw his opponent; using it to bring Lekona behind Olari, readying his sword as he did so. This time, Artorre wasn't in danger, so there was no need to alert his opponent and break their focus quicker. This time he just needed to strike. So he did, thrusting at his opponent's back with his blade.
