  1. Definitely agree on the Masterpiece thing! I think LEGO should at least give us "Masterpiece" figures of the Toa Mata, and if that does well, go from there. Much like you, I'd pay jaw-dropping amounts of money. I daresay I'd even be willing to cancel a vacation just to afford them! masterpiece sets for the toa mata sounds like something that would be a much better choice marked with the stars banner compared to what Lego decided to go with. *coughs* i never understood the flaws Lego decided to go with as a whole: pitiful small sets with bad proportions skrall: green instead of red gresh: not a very iconic enough good guy to be chosen rahkshi: no unique new mold for his weapon staff and since when did rahkshi use two toes? takanuva: needed bronze instead of white armor and silver mask piraka: could used a bright silver body and colored fists/legs instead of grey tahu: nothing really wrong per say but being shrunk into this set was wrong step downgrade after his 2008 mistika set
  2. not easy but the seal is so tight that its not always worth risking big fracture in the brick. i discovered that toa inika on the other hand its easy to remove the lightbox in the weapons and switch colors for example nuparus drill would benefit from earth green laser while the red works better in jallers sword. same goes for hahli and kongu lightbox swapping
  3. Heads up, you might want to inspect the set for battery acid damage. If old batteries were left inside for really long it can ruin the battery connections.
  4. a official set of the rusted red armor movie makuta from the mask of light the movie would be great.
  5. They look more like odd vents to me. The kakama nuva and pakari nuva on the on other hand look like like they were inspired by dogs.
  6. They could buy the authentic product and make a mold of it (thus creating a high chance of inaccuracy) and use inferior plastic. In the other hand, bootlegs actually made in the same territories as the originals may actually be using the original molds, illegally sold off by someone who works at the factory. that is doubtful since most factories have security cameras to discourage such stealing of vital molds. its more likely that a rival company employee purchased a few sets and the counterfeiters created their own molds.
  7. The Kopaka series as a whole was at a peak in the G2 after the disappointing set in the phantoka line. Master: I liked the idea of a bulky knight aspect for kopaka and the option of using the "Toa Lhikan" esque shield pieces as giant swords for Kopaka. However the ammount of gold used in this form doesnt work all too great, trying to work in blue frozen limbs is difficult enough but the gold clashes a bit (shoulder pauldrons in particular) and males him look like he came home drunk from toa of light cosplay. Uniter: This one is even better than the little bit too bulky foot armor and is more evenly balanced and his broadsword is reminiscent of the G1 Ice Sword, right down the split in the midsection. The launcher is also good value since only kopaka akida and onua had launchers in 2017. However for Melum there isn't much to say for him but i have the odd feeling he was only included in this bundle because he would have been looked like a bland of Therak and not sold well on his own. Both Toa had a satisfying build but i give a slight 51 against 49 out of 100 alloted points score Toa Kopaka Uniter for the many play features
  8. Greg’s answer was always that they didn’t expect any resistance on Voya Nui and were unprepared to fight anybody, but the real answer, obviously, is he needed them out of them out of the way so he could focus on the Toa Inika. The Piraka also stole their masks, so by the time they were ready to fight, they were weakened, and finally beaten by Brutaka, who was somewhat pumped up on Antidermis at the time. The Piraka were also thugs that had encountered many Toa in their past and they had no real weakness.
  9. Obviously the Toa Nuva are on top, not because they were the first Toa we were introduced to. But because they are evolved team that possess greater control, their mask power can be shared with anyone in the vicinity. This was the norm until 2008 when they received the adaptive armor.
  10. There are no such things misprints swirls for colored mask swirls in sets mass produced sets, same goes for piraka zamor and chima fire balls. Why, because 75% injected swirls are never the same swirl. However cases in sets like berix and ackar...if a berix mask was found with only 1 of the colors lightblue or completely blue instead of both then it would be rare.
  11. What, the insane one that brings inanimate objects to life? I don’t think he’s evil, just inherently dangerous because...yeah, he brings stuff to life. Never said he was evil, but that doesn't make him any less of a threat. My guess is that he's a been a nerve-wreck ever he was locked for centuries after the cursed objects incident. With no one to talk to and unsure if his curse ever affects him again it just fills a person like that with things like paranoiaanxietyshynesseasily frightened
  12. We cant forget the barraki are roaming free including Pridak Kalmah Mantax Ehlek and Takadox and they could pose as serious threats to safety although Takadox is the only one who is independent and with no army. (Carapar was slain by Tren Krom)
  13. Bionicle might not need a reboot but i think 1 small Legends series of remastered g1 1 toa + 2003 teridax would be nice. (as in the big star wars builds) They would to be as faithful to G1 Toa Mata in the big size as possible, printed shells can be used for the mechanical limb details.
  14. Could be true and Tuma was stated to be the last from his clan but the stars designers forgot about it when making these minor sets and make him a lower rank member of Tuma's lost clan.
  15. Definitely a really good creation, i love how you captured most of the details from the real claw. Is it heavy ? That thing would be massive to compensate for the size of the claw on the real set.
  16. Not many left for me. I gave most of my old collection to my younger cousin when i moved from my parents and into my apartment a few years ago. Kopaka MataKopaka Nuva (2002)Toa NujuLewa PhantokaTahu Nuva (2002)AxonnJaller Mahri -Kopaka G2Kopaka Uniter MelumProtector of IcePohatu G2IkirTahu Uniter
  17. The only thing remarkable to me was the project bugs for the Bohrok. I had never heard of it but it looks like something lego might use in those little televisions added with lego diorama displays in toy sections like toys'r'us usually used for lego star wars and city.
  18. Definitely very impressive. But i dont understand why the top half of Takanuva's Staff/Scythe of Light looks like it is bent out of shape. Teridax is my favourite of these 2.
  19. Aside from all ideas and even if the sets had pages advertising the new content with phrases like "Build the sets and follow the story with *" the main problem is that it's easy to over-complicate or simplify to satisfy both older fans and reach out to kids who are either not easily interested or very young 5 year kids who only got a 1-2 sets as gifts and too young to read content. These kind of media factors are the reason G2 failed. G1 got lucky with heavy advertising and good story early on A third reboot is unlikey until 2030 minimum if ever. A better option is to create a similar franchise but not the same formula. Maybe focus on names from the other teams like toa inika/metru names first and then new ones. Even smaller impulse versions of the main heroes (either along side or no matoran/protector sets) can ease kids to be interested.
  20. Sorry, but there is absolutely no way that would ever happen in a billion yearsThis particular game would never happen, but I wish they’d at least reissue some of their older games patched for modern PCs via Steam or something (LEGO Island series, BtG, Heroes, etc). They’re bound to make at least some profit in today’s nostalgia-obsessed society. Sorry, but there is absolutely no way that would ever happen in a billion yearsTheres always opportunity, the game was cancelled because the management shut-down the old lego pc game brand from the 90's
  21. I wonder if we could potentially get official support from LEGO for our dedication to save. If they show interest in it...it could be released to the public on modern systems. Perhaps Travellers Tales who are used to creating LEGO games could be trusted to take over and finish properly coding it. And if it gets approved optimized and released on PS4, XBOX ONE, Nintendo Switch and PC then it might spark real interest in the bionicle series again.
  22. Thats very creative use of very obscure Znap pieces. He's cute and tiny but nothing to complain about. His peofile also reminds me of Walle. Overall a solid 10/10 score, even simplicity can be the best reward.
  23. Its unlikely bionicle is even remotely revivable. It would have to wait until at least 2024-2030 before it is a viable option. But i'd suggest letting the story start fresh with all focus team first and where the series left of after Bota Magna is fixed (not the Nuva/Mata names right away). Heroes will officially be referred to as Toa and Matoran etc (not Master or Uniter.) Perhaps focus on the Mahri for the first year spotlight and bringing Matoro (soft reboot) for his heroic sacrifice in G1 and Mata Nui no longer dead before the ignika becomes permanently dormant and recharges. Later on the following year they release that they are overwhelmed and the Toa Nuva are needed for assisting with confronting a new uprising like Elemental Lords or Great Being Velika who might have transferred his mind into a bigger and more powerful body but his schemes are still evil and must not succeed.
  24. There's plenty of bootlegs i found this here in Iceland Europe Some of them work well with legos but the result are sometimes very loose so i used paper wads to stiffen it. http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?i=6476600 The reason i bought mine was because i liked the idea of turning pohatu into a camouflage test http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?i=6476601
