  1. I shall be the one to ask them, wish me luck.Good luck, google has no useful info available. Our only other source might be the Artist Christian Faber who published the bionicle artworks he worked on. he just might know something about this. but its big stretch.
  2. I'd agree most of the serials can be left out with the exception of the Dwellers in Darkness. it explains at leat the last line of obstacles Teridax needed to pass through before he could take over the inner brain of the giant universe robot and the Toa Hagah were going after the trail underneath Metru Nui in a last attempt to delay or stop Teridax. I'd agree dropping the Kal in favor of more than 6 Rahkshi The 2004 Morbuzahk and Maze of Shadows arc would be dropped 2005 intead of the hunt it is simply revealed that Sidorak was keeping the avohkii in his throneroom on behalf of the Brotherhood of Makuta's after it was stolen. Vakama never betrays his friends but he has become doubtful of being recognized as a hero because of the hordika forms 2006 the Karzahni trip is skipped in favor of 6 emergency toa capsules are hidden beneath Metru Nui....2007 isn't skipped but the battles and events are shorter. 2008 ends with toa winning. mata nui regains control Mata Nui finally remembering the mission he was meant to do and the events of his glatorian adventure is removed. instead the Spherus Magna is repaired and he settles down as a a fellow Toa for his people. (bara magnans are revealed not as a separate species and the system was a result of no proper leading government)
  3. I think he knew to some extent but he decided to let things run their course to fit his plans without making himself too suspicious.
  4. Still it was never mentioned if miru users can levitate from a standing position or need a jumping start. Also the books mention that while kadin allows flight it was more difficult for nuparu to get his landing right.
  5. Wow this is definitely a very creative usage of krana, kanohi masks for filling up gaps in body and limbs.
  6. I think they look like like satanic horns and their mouths are simply thicker than other species similar to animal like donkeys and horses, clearly in the movie he has moveable mouth too.
  7. Definitely quite a improvement for Carapar and even fitting for being late to the halloween. The body shows no noticeable gaps which can be difficult to pull off but the result is fantastic as he looks like a perfect version of the muscular brute he was meant to be. Just needs the OG claws in one hand and a set of eyes. Final verdict: A big 9.5/10, excellent creation!
  8. I wouldn't say they were terrible but they did feel rather outclassed compared to the rahkshi villains that came during the second half of 2003. It didn't stop me from buying a kohrak kal (white one) when the sets csme out since his power seemed very interesting and powerful because it could very easily lose control and cause indirect damage that affect teammates But i never liked or understood why his silver was almost grayish or gunmetal grey-ish (instead of standard silver) on any promotional artwork made for the Kal sets.
  9. This reminds me that Onua Mata's kanohi Pakari strength mask is inspired stolen from a certain horror villain named Jason Voorhees
  10. Pridak using actual physical violence against Nocturn (Ehleks Lieutenant). He bit off one of Nocturns arms for disobedience. Pridak is a shark but what is really disturbing is that Nocturn does posess limited regenerative abilities but the tentacle on that arm did not regrow after the incident.
  11. I'd say all of them are good in their own way but i'm surprised no one has mentioned the horrors of the mistika/swamp makuta team canisters? That weird design was often way too tricky to open. I wouldn't be surprised if small kids would need help because they didn't have a strong enough grip to squeeze the lid properly.
  12. Im going to go with the Lord of the Skull Spiders, i've always been terrified of any kind of spider. But Kulta is a close second place.
  13. I doubt a 3rd generation would be worth it anytime soon. Lets just enjoy and cherish what have The only one possibility would releasing the old sets with 45% slight upgrades without too drastic updates like G2 did. Example for a G3 (G1 2.0) Tahu Mata. The old canister style packing is brought in retro style, same g2 box but it has the full g1 style canister artwork on the bo The mask stays complete G1 style instead of what G2 looked like but it still has side hooks from G2(no mask launching gimmick) The weapon a simple updated flamesword like g1 but in trans-red (not hero factory fire piece) Orange has to be a major part of his colorscheme like before 2008, no gold or dark red or silver as a major body color. The result is a and new version of 55% tecnic with only minor 45% minor ccbs, for joints but has mata feet instead of ccbs shoes.
  14. This is what the result ended up resembling http://www.artofmtg.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/10/Endless-One-Battle-for-Zendikar-MtG-Art-752x1024.jpg It is a good rendition. But that creature seems to be the type that needs to be built on a much bigger scale to be effective. If more dark red ccbs shells had been available instead if bright red it would have helped better maybe?
  15. Excellent design. I love idea of using the bloodstained takanuva blade for a scythe it has a good shape for it... of course its a blended blade from a old Exo Force Blade Titan set. Almost thought you had a rare prototype piece.
  16. Mr Handman has a some valid points. The hair in particular. You should try swapping the head with a toa metru head and use this piece inside the metru head a for a extra connector hole for hair but get rid of the yellow wing piece, it looks very uneven for hair. and it's a good rule of thumb to use one of these to cover up balljoint holes when possible, on the bohrok foot in her chest with one of these in black it's good for covering holes not in use.
  17. This...when the Breakout series was launched it finally gave a great piece that could be used to make characters with arm cannons such Samus Aran from Metroid (nintendo game series)
  18. Am i the only one to notice that this was rather short for a set review
  19. it's just a matter of perspective and his chin bones happen to be big.
  20. The pohatu orange retcon in the books. I mean really, brown was the main stone colors for 4 years straight. and then all of a sudden lego retconned it so heavily that even the first brown colors are only classified as a darker shade of orange. Why did lego all of a sudden do this. It's like they suddenly hate the idea of brown having ever been in the series. and all of it because of dwindling stone sets sales.
  21. Obviously Zaktan. he has one of the best intimidating quotes in the series. "Horror is looking into the eyes of the Shadowed One, knowing you are about to die ... and then being forced to live. Horror is waking each day to see every part of your body moving on its own, a shifting mass of Protodites where once was solid metal and living tissue. Horror is what is in the eyes of your partners when they look at you ... and in the cries of your enemies when your swarm engulfs them. Don't talk to me about fear, creature — I am fear!" — Zaktan to Irnakk, Inferno
  22. No according to BioSector01 Teridax used his shadow hand technique to teleport her to a safe location in gratitude for getting him out of hid sealed protodermis prison. He just made it seem like she was a goner/absorbed by him.He was still recovering from being sealed and that's why he could not risk arriving in person to rescue her.
  23. The bohrok when you realize it's a sad fate for matoran who are pre-destined to become mindless machines with loss of their former free will.
  24. Just bought this set yesterday at a heavily discounted price (75% off to be exact, at a local european Toys'R'Us) and i was disappointed how the lower portion of the jacket gets in the way of the hips so i designed a simple fix that's less awkward and only requires 2 pieces not included. this is my result these are the instructions
  25. But this still doesnt make as much sense as what Pohaturon said. If any Toa of Stone, or even a couple of them combined could destroy an entire fortress, then no one should have been able to stand up to Toa ever, since they would be unable to build lasting footholds. Well, I don't know about that. Take this quote from Maze of Shadows: Now, Matau was an ordinary Toa of Air and the Coliseum is a pretty big building, so if we take this quote literally we deduce that an ordinary Toa does have the power to destroy a fortress or a building of similar size. Another example, always concerning the Coliseum, is when in Dwellers in Darkness the Toa Hagah and the Toa Mahri dig a hole through the foundations of the Coliseum; Kualus, Bomonga and Hewkii (all three ordinary Toa) cooperate to keep the building intact and at the end Hewkii is left alone to keep it in the air with his mask power, which I'd warrant to be equal or weaker to that of an ordinary Toa of Gravity. Now, if a Toa of Gravity could lift the Coliseum into the air, he could also destroy it. To be honest, I think that when writing remarks or scenes like these Greg never really bothered to remain consistent with previous (far more limited) displays of elemental power and exagerated to make the story more spectacular. The only explanation I can think of that would reconcile enormous manifestations of power such as these with the defeat of the Toa Nuva at the hands of enemies like the Piraka is that since Toa don't kill, they would not usually unleash such forces directly against an enemy (Matau's cyclones would be an exception to this), for they wouldn't be able to maintain sufficient control to make sure that their opponent did not die. I would assume with power at the level of those examples, if we are taking them literally, Toa would be able to threaten a Makuta alone. But yet, we are led to believe that the Toa are essentially one sixth of the strength of a Makuta, since it took 6 to beat teridax on Metru-Nui. Of course, we can't assume that this is more than just speculation. Now with the Toa Nuva, i imagine they must be considerably more powerful than normal Toa for one more reason: none of them died in Karda Nui. Let's assume we go with the whole idea that the Makuta let the Toa win (which is probably true.) The Makuta could have still killed two or three Toa and allowed them to achieve their goal. The Makuta despise Toa, and killing them brings most of them pleasure. But yet they didn't kill a single one. And in numerous exchanges with the Makuta of Karda Nui, the Toa seemed to come out on top, particularly when Mutran got frozen, or Antroz had his armor damaged by his own lasers, or Tahu had Gorast imprisoned and seemingly in a position to execute her. The Makuta probably allowed the Toa to win, but NOBODY lets someone inflict serious harm to them. The boxing match between Floyd Mayweather and Conor McGregor is a perfect analogy. Floyd let Conor look like he had a shot. But Floyd did NOT let Conor land a clean uppercut; Conor earned that one. Because most of the Makuta immediately shrugged off the Toa Nuva as no threat, but later found themselves in contested combat with them, I'd assume the Toa Nuva are more formidable by a margin large enough to consider. Good point, if the makuta had really wanted to they could've dropped the defeatist act anytime they wanted, however the toa managed to escape instead of truly fighting for a extended period. I'd also say each individual toa nuva was roughly on equal ground with the 6 main karda nui makuta but Takanuva and Toa Ignika and the vehicles gave them a much needed firepower to even the odds.
