  • Interests
I have interests in many things, including Lego, Star Wars, video games, music, reading, religion, and experimental cooking, but not necessarily in that order. In my life I’m forced to wear many hats, including brilliant student, award-wining debater, video gamer, engineer, random fact generator, and deep thinker.

One thing that is central in my life is music. I would probably go crazy without it. I play the trumpet with what I’d like to think is a high level of proficiency. I like listening to alternative, classical, and a bit of opera (mainly Andrew Lloyd Webber’s works). Some of my favorite artists/bands are Erin McCarthy, God Help the Girl, Neon Trees, Ryan Star, Voxtrot, and of course, Cryoshell.

Another activity I enjoy are video games. I love any and all Star Wars games, including Lego Star Wars, KOTOR, Empire at War, and Jedi Knight. RPGs and some FPSs are what I lean towards. I also like nearly all of the games Lego has ever made. The systems I use are my computer, my Wii, PS3, and on occasion, DS.

I also love to read. Some of my favorite authors are Brandon Sanderson, Timothy Zahn, J.K. Rowling, Madeleine L’Engle, Ellen Raskin, Michael Crichton, George Orwell, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, Richard Matheson, Douglas Adams, and Tana French. Without books I would most likely explode (or implode, what have you).

As goes with reading, I’m drawn to a good story. As with books, I also love a good movie or TV show. I’m a huge fan of the Star Wars Saga, Taken, and Pandorum, all of which I could watch again and again. As far as television goes, I thoroughly enjoy Fringe, Psych, MacGyver, and anything with Bear Grylls.

  1. Good start so far; it's nice to see the dead links and panes (finally) removed. I'm also in favor of the twitter feed - I don't use twitter myself, but it is nice to be able to see what you guys actually post there. At this point, I think the red google/social media buttons stand out a bit harshly against the blue background, but I'll wait to see the final product before (completely) making my judgement.
  2. This is great! I knew there was a reason I kept lurking on BZP; guess I was hoping this would happen eventually. I'm interested in seeing what direction the go with the new story line - "raw magic" seems like a slightly different take than before.
  3. Nice way of putting it. Having moved on from the series in 2004 out of a mindset of "I'm too mature for this now", I returned to find I had missed something I would have enjoyed quite a lot. There's no turning back the clock, but I'll maintain a fondness for the series for quite a while, I think. Seconded. Also, I've always been more of a storyline fan, and with no updates there really isn't that much to be involved with. I'll still be around here at BZP like I have been since the series was discontinued, but personally as a storyline fan, I've probably "moved away" from Bionicle as far as I can without completly moving on.
  4. I had been checking BZP on my phone every once in a while, and when I saw the forums up this morning I was really excited. And then I realized that it would be most of the day before I could actually check them out properly. So, excitment, sad realization, and then more excitment. -Demeb
  5. I'm liking the new reply box, and I'm sort of fond of the overall sleeker look. However, I do miss the top banner. Also, I only now realized that I don't have my old avatar photo on my new computer, so the fact that I'm stuck without it for a while is probably going to be my biggest complaint about the new forums. -Demeb
  6. MMMUUUUHAHAHAHAHA!!! I'm wasting space on my own page! The void has been filled!
