  1. I just got my hands on some Hearts of Space radio show episodes. Talk about some great music for Trials of Terror! I remember tuning in to this show when I was living up in Fairbanks, and getting to watch the northern lights swirl about in their beautiful lightedness whilst listening to beautiful soundscapes. They've been broadcasting the show since the 80's and they host all kinds of contemporary space music. Its especially nice for when you want to relax, or just listen to something that you've probably never heard before. I can definitely say that I've found some movie soundtracks, especially for the "underwater" scene I plan to do. It'll be filmed on a homemade set, cause its just too darn hard to film under real water The scene involves Mahlika and Muga, and thats all I will divulge at the moment, as I dont want to give away any movie secrets yet! I also started shooting another Piraka Funny. Reidak is scared of a monster, and avak gets hit by a bout of bad animation. Trying to find out whats got Reidak so scared, little do they know the monster is standing right behind them......... Mwaahhahahaaaaaa, Stay Tuned!

    Oh No.

I wasn't born with straight teeth..... I had braces for about 4 and a half years through jr. high and high school. You kinda learn a whole new way to eat, talk, laugh etc so you dont get stuff caught in them, like your lip or your cheek O.o I've accidentally cut myself in the mouth several times on my braces when I had them. Granted, yes the are uncomfortable, downright painful at times, but in the end you will have a great straight toothed smile. So while you got em, keep em clean. You'll learn a whole new brushing and flossing regiment with those puppies LOL Best thing about braces other than them straightening your teeth, is you can get any color of bands you want when they change the wire! I used to get my school colors every now and then
  3. I worked pretty hard on a new bit of info for Trials of Terror. Diligently working in MS word, I came up with about half of my story sequence with time approximations of how long the scenes will be. This movie might end up being longer than 2 hours....... Depending on how long it ends up being, I may end up releasing it in episodes. Then when the entire movie is finished, I'll have a downloadable link on my Trials of Terror website (which is still in the making) when the movie is all put together. I may have to build a new folder for my avatars and banners. Brickshelf won't approve the folder after they took it off of public view. It's probably just been there too long without enough updates. I added a bunch of new avvies and banners, but it still wont go active. Argh. Just means I'll have to Work LOL. Oh well. Warm weather today, about 34 degrees. SHould make fro some slippery roads. I talked to my friends who live in Seward, and they said the roads are nasty freaky ice rink scary stuff yanno..... so I probably wont be able to go back till wednesday morning. At least I don't miss rehearsal this week....... In the meantime, enjoy this little funny!
  4. Man, I WISH I could go the the Po-Kava desert, that means I'd get to see my boyfriend YAY! lol I've just been kicken it Sumiki. I am stranded in Anchorage till I can drive back home. Hopefully wednesday. Till then, no new mocs can be built.
  5. I have the house to myself. I took my mom to the airport yesterday. Shes going down to see the new grandbaby, my little nephew. I'm so excited about being an aunt! I now have a nephew I can spoil, and corrupt with bionicle when he reaches the right age! Mwaahahahaaaaa! I made a quick animation tonight of avak blasting zaktan, then suddenly avak's getting tossed around by mirkatuva! It should be pretty funny when done, although the camera moved a few times when making it because of the table cloth.... (note to self, never animate on tablecloths....) I found a Takadox at walmart with a black canister bottom the other day. I was pretty stoked, and was able to get a price reduction on it because I had bought a barraki a toys r us for less and had the receipt with me. No nocturn up here yet, but hopefully soon! I had gotten my mantax thru shop at home and it had a blue canister bottom, so I can wait to get one thats correct, waiting till they are on sale to save a little money. No squid ammo packs are up here yet, of which I am a bit perturbed. Soon enough though, as I want an army of squiddies! he he he Hopefully some of this warm weather cleared off the sidewalks in seward. I am dying to ride a bicycle. I think I may need to take one of my balloon tire schwinn bicycles with me, as they tend to do really well on ice and snow. Its fun to ride in the winter if you have the right gear. I may go beachcombing too and see if I can find some more shells and stuff. I found some really unique peices of wood, and some interesting shells on my last expedition. Up here you find tons of limpets. They look like china hats and fit on lego and bionicle minifigs really well. Another day coming to a close up here in alaska. It warmed up considerably in the last few days. It's been in the 30's and everything is getting icy. Should make for a fun trip home LOL See y'all next entry!
  6. It sounds like that awful head cold that was going around. I had it in full force for about 2 weeks last month before it started easing up at all. It was awful, so I know exactly how you are feeling Omi. Go to the store and get some Celestial Seasonings Echinacea Complete care tea. That'll help cure what ails ya, and it tastes especially nice with honey. Get well soon buddy!
  7. I just whipped these drawings up in about 5 minutes. I could do more detailed drawings, but both vakatu and kokatas rahi are not built yet, so they are still not official. The large chunky shapes in the drawings are what I'm going to try and acheive in large scale to look like realistic animal limbs. This time around I'm really going to take a good look at building lightweight, durable models. I am not really satisfeid with Rayzaurak either. There are a lot of elements I will keep on it, but I am going to try a new style of torso building, as the model is too heavy. The legs have to go too. I am not really liking them much at all. I may even work on Mirkatuvas legs a little, to give them better movement so he can run realistically. The model is still a bit difficult to animate due to leg restrictions.
  8. Hey everyone, I felt like posting up these sneak peek concept images of what my giant rahi may look like! Kokatas rahi Vakatus rahi Paruvaks rahi I'm not sure on vakatu's rahi, but let me know what you think!
  9. over the last few years we were starved for a good hard snow, and there were many forest fires because of it.. This year should be much better as far as summer dryness. There wont be any LOL

    Snowed In...

They have great after season toy sales at Target too. I know that there are Target stores in california. Maybe you will get lucky and find a kardas for $15! Go check it out sometime, you never know...... wish there were target stores here..........

    Snowed In...

Looks like I won't be leaving Anchorage for a while yet. The road is closed and they are cleaning up avalanches on the highway. Driving conditions are also too hazardous due to high wind, ice, rain and snow. Funny thing about the Seward Highway, its rated as one of the most beautiful sightseeing highways in the country, yet it is the most dangerous to drive in the winter. LOL I heard rumors that after the short clear spell we're going to get, its going to be a whopper doozie 40" snowstorm!!!! Thats like.... almost 4 feet!!!!! I'm going to have a lot of shoveling to do......... Heres a random GOOD DEALS of the day for those who like to save money on Bionicle sets! Anyone who lives in the Pacific Northwest is familiar with the store chain Fred Meyers. If you are a lucky sot with money, go to your local fred meyers and buy up piraka and 06 playsets! They are discounting them for up to 75% off the retail price!!!! So like, you pay $3.75 for piraka! I have seen lava chamber gate for as low as $17! They are discounting exo force sets and other lego sets as well! Stock up on your LEGO Bricks Kiddies!

    Mystery Gift

LOL Poor Omi has a stalker chick. I can't say I've ever had a stalker, but it can't be all that fun. at least ya got a free bracelet. LOL, you can tell me how much she drives you nutsbonkers at brickfest LOLOL
  13. Yeah, we have no sales tax up here. Only smaller towns charge it for maintaining roads and such. Evey year we get a dividend check. Right around october, it sure is nice to get that $1000 or more check! It should be going up soon because of these insane gas prices. Currently $2.17 per gallon for unleaded. The driving conditions are hazardous on the Seward Highway, so I may be waiting a few days to go back home. Beleive it or not, it really doesn't cost all that much more to live up here than it does in the lower 48. Granted some things are spendy, but its worth it considering all the fresh air and beautiful scenery you get! I was born and raised here in Anchorage, and have traveled out of state. After vacations I can always say I feel relieved when I get home after taking that first breath of fresh outside air! Living in Seward is great too! Its a pretty small town, 120 miles from anchorage, about a mile long and built on the feet of mountains by the ocean. It a major tourist stop for cruise ships in the summer. Every day, enormous cruise ships dock at the harbor and the tourists get to shop around town. Seward still retains a lot of its history in buildings, stores and more. I may make a photo entry blog of a trip around town. I'll show y'all pictures of historic buildings, and places that were almost buried by the flood that happened in october. Theres a gigantic motor that sits in the water by an old mooring dock that was there before the 64 earthquake. Theres a bunch of great sights. Seeing the shipyard is especially interesting, as there are boats drydocked there that make my big old suburban look like a micro machine! The machine that lifts those boats is pretty incredible too! Keep an eye out for another entry soon!
  14. Well, I was taking a good brainthought on Akitsu and what I should do with her. I will probably chibi the model, but then I have this wonderful torso that is left over. I thought and thought, and then was like Meh, and forgot about it. I started drawing concept designs for my last two giant rahi when a stunning revelation hit me. Turn akitsu's torso so its facing chest to the ground, and you have a perfect catlike torso. I think I'm going to build Kokatas Giant Rahi off Akitsus torso! I am thinking like a giant maned saber cat or something... Should be interesting indeed! Paruvaks rahi just needs a body, as its head is complete, and pretty fierce looking.
  15. Hoooeeeeee, I finally ventured into the Blog section. I was a bit lost at first, but quickly found my way around. I plan to talk about daily life up here in alaska. Its been snowing a WHOLE lot lately, and the snow is to my shoulders (I'm 5'8"). It hasn't snowed like this since I was young, and it feels good. Amidst all the shoveling I do to keep my Quonset huts free of snow and my paths clear, cleaning apartments across the street, or driving to and from Anchorage every other week or two to work on violins and assemble yard equipment, I do manage to find time to build. Its sometimes hard to concentrate on moc's at times, because I'm still getting moved into my house somewhat. The Bionicle area is a mess as many many MANY things need to be parted out and sorted. I have lots of ideas for new creations to build, but no progress can be made at a messy table with pin bins that are getting low on resources. I am planning on attending brickfest PDX 07 this year, as it is very close to where my family is. Hopefully I can save enough to go. I'm bringing the Bioniwreath with me. I haven't done anything to it since the contest, as I have plenty of ball joints for my matoran and other creations. I also plan on bringing my cast of characters for Trials of Terror. I want to get some exposure and create at least a whisper about the movie as it starts to rise from the shadows. I hope it'll be a big hit when its completed. It'll be a kindof dark story, but it will show that great bravery conquers all if the dedication is there. I plan to add plenty of humor in there, and I intend to get chuckles out of even the most stubborn. It will focus on Unity, Duty and Destiny like the classic bionicle saga was more geared toward. Should turn out interesting, and I am more than willing to take on a few dedicated helpers. I'm heading back to Seward in who knows when, hopefully tomorrow. Its been snowing so much I'm scared to take the highway in my big truck. Crossing my fingers for no snow! Most my filming will be done in Seward for some super awesome nature booyahness, as well as filming in Landers CA for some Po-Kava scenes. Should be good. Anyway, I am signing off for now, I'll make another entry once I get home, or if I find out I have to stay longer because of an avalanche or something. See y'all next Entry! -Roa McToa-
  16. I am so excited! I chatted with my brother last night, and he is talking about building my website for me!!! Not only will it have a section dedicated to Trials of Terror, it will also have pictures of the violins I build, as well as my other hobbies. Y'all will be able to learn a little more about the mysteries of Roa. He said he was going to get it roughed out soon, so hopefully there will be a movie website soon! I am crossing my fingers!
