  1. like the Coldplay song, "At the touch of a button, I can go anywhere I want to go"..... I will settle for nothing less! Anyway, I want to get a new car, it may take a year or two, but dangit, I am gonna get one! 2010 Dodge Charger has gotten my attention. We rented one of these cars on our trip to Hawaii, and it is very spacious inside. The car handles nice, but the v6 version is wimpy. Its got no cajones. Now then, the model I am going for is not the biggest most expensive $46,000 model with the 440 horse 6.2 liter Hemi (0-100 in 17 seconds! O_O) I am going for the all wheel drive model with the smaller of the two Hemis at 5.7 liters, giving about 350+ horsepower. More than sufficient for my needs, plus it would be road handy and affordably insurable! Its an all wheel drive car, so it will handle superbly in my Alaskan homeland. So yeah, here's the specs and pricing... I'm done! Here is My 2010 Charger R/T P Package AWD 2010 Charger R/T P Package AWD Dark Slate Gray Interior Colors Included Brilliant Black Crystal Pearl Coat Exterior Paint Included 5.7-Liter V8 HEMI MDS VVT Engine VROOM! Included 5-Speed Automatic Transmission Included Monotone Paint I want 2 tone durnit! Included 18" x 7.5" Aluminum Wheels Included P225/60R18 Black Side Wall Touring Tires Included Leather-Trimmed Bucket Seats YES! Included 368-Watt Amplifier Included 7 Boston Acoustics Speakers with Subwoofer Included Remote Start System I have never had this... Included This is gonna rock for those cold mornings! Media Center 730N CD/DVD/HDD/NAV Radio $900 1-Year SIRIUS Traffic™ Service Included GPS Navigation OMFG! Included SIRIUS Traffic™ Included Uconnect Phone with Voice Command Included iPod® Control Included Auto-Dimming Rear View Mirror with Microphone Included Engine Block Heater $40 High-Intensity Discharge Headlamps $695 Destination Charge $750 Incentives 2010 West BC Customer Cash Allowance 71CA5 -$1,500 Net MSRP* $35,825 So yeah, I can dream right? I got a job offer with the City of Seward working at the harbor, and if that pulls through, I will be getting more pay and more hours plus a boatload of awesome experience and training! (I'll blog about it later if I get the job) If this happens, I might be able to think about buying this car! GLEE!
  2. Hope I can make it this time. I'll have to save save save so that leaving work wont be a problem. Hopefully my sponsors will come through too, I ahve high hopes on that! If so, the Baerwyrm will be there.

I'll be at the Ko'olina beach club resort, which I believe is on the southwest side of the island.

    Hot Places

I'm going to Hawaii tomorrow! I have never been there, so it should be a blast! My family owns a new timeshare on Oahu, and it just opened up! Nice and brand new! I can't wait to go. I really wish I could take Dean with me, poor fella has to go back to work in -50 cold weather. on a sadder note, My Brother and his GF flew into anchorage because her father passed away in the hospital a couple days ago. I took the day off work today so I could get to town before flying out to see them, and pay my condolences. Loss of a family member is so hard, and I kindof know what she is going through, although not as hard as it is for her now. A life has been renewed. After sorrow, comes the joy of remembrance of all the good times.
  5. Ahhh, finally done, aside from the general BIG hurt in my finger..... My Entry

    Ps3 Vs. Xbox 360

Having had a lot of hands on experience with both consoles, I would buy a PS3 hands down. I have seen 3 XBox's die in one friends hands within two years, because him and his kids love to game. They even had all the cooling accessories, and it still did the red ring of death. Both systems share most of their titles, and I find that I like the PS3 better. Metal Gear SOlid 4 is an awesome game, and only on PS3 too... I am an oblivion and fallout nut, and PS3 has fewer glitches.
  7. So, yeah. Winter is officially setting in up here in Seward. I got to scrape the rental yard with the loader to clear it of the slush that would undoubtedly turn into ice this morning. I have a feeling this year that I am going to be responsible for a lot of the plowing that my workplace contracts out every year. I told the Bossman that I wanted to run the loader more plowing snow this year, and get an even better feel for it. It will look awesome on my resume if I have a lot of hours logged on equipment. Behold my Ryde! (sans the gnarly bucket teeth, ours has a smooth edge blade) Its a small loader, and is very nimble. You can make some really tight turns, and get into tight places too. The loader is an articulated type, so it bends in the middle to steer. So bring it on Jack Frost, I'mma ready for ya!
  8. I can only hope to make it into the finals. I have a feeling that some really nice entries are still hidden in the woodwork.
  9. I am diligently working on a one color moc assembled with blue pinaxles and red axles. Keeping other connectors to a minimum, and not using any grey or tan connectors. It will have a wonderful patch of red on it, that will wow the audience hopefully...... And it will have an awesome technique that I pioneered, and have never seen done anywhere..... I can't wait to see her in her full completed form! Wish me luck!

Failure is only an option, try again, it sounds interesting.
  11. So, as a few of you my know, my good ol trusty HP laptop blew up, no longer to be of service. A component int he motherboard that allows it to run off of AC power and charge the battery fried, so therefore, it got no juice in the caboose. I took it down to the shop and had it analyzed and taken apart, and so here it lies, in pieces. RIP HP, you were a good computer! So, I was kindly lent a little laptop to use until I was able to go out and buy one for myself..... So, I get back from Mexico, and Dean tells me theres a lil' Summ Sumthin' waiting for me at home. He had driven home to take care of a few errands before he left to work on the slope. I had spent that weekend in Anchorage at my moms house, so I was eager to get home to see what this so called surprise was. I was thinking ooo maybe its a big lego set or something! So, I get home, and there's a box sitting in my living room that's the size of a carousel set. I open it.......... And there is a brand new BOOYAH super awesome white Sony Vaio laptop inside! This was my face.... Its such an awesome laptop! Its wayyyy faster and has a ton more memory and ram than my old computer could shake a stick at. Now I just have to get my old hard drive and put it into a dock so that I can use my photoshop CS3 suite thats on it, as well as access all my old files. All I can say is a million thanks till the day I die Dean! You are such a generous guy! Never have I been given such an awesome gift by someone before, and especially so from my true love! I was not expecting it at all! O_O till the next blog..... BOOOOOYAHHHHH!!!
  12. Has it snowed in Juneau yet? It all melted off the other day here due to rain.

    Truckinn!

Its a dandy old truck. Grew up in the thing practically what with all the hockey games my mom took my older brothers to... lol its been through a lot in its life..... Keeping your equipment well maintained under the hood is key. You've gotten a vehicle that will be easy to work on! learn to drive in the van so that you can hop right into that truck when you get licensed! Woot!

    Truckinn!

Whats wrong with a ten year old odyssey? I drive a suburban thats 20 years old, its a little Jaloppy, and its just fine. Matter of fact, it was my moms, and I learned to drive in it. Minivans got guts too.......... Don't deny yourself the chance to learn to drive just because a car is a little aged. But yeah, mmmmm old f-100 yum yum!
  15. Yes Than, Yes. I dont have working 4wd in my truck either, so driving will be interesting this winter to say the least....
  16. It snowed last night! Theres a few inches of it everywhere! Better get the snow tires on!
  17. I really should, especially now that I have a NEW LAPTOP of which I need to BLOG ABOUT! WOOT!
  18. So I threw my first Lego Birthday Party ever. One of my friends kids (My boss's niece's son) was having a birthday today. His mom had called me up around the beginning of October about this, and I told her yeah, I'll do it. "Lemme grab some figures, and I'll get back to ya". When I was at Brickcon, I got to talk to certified Lego professional Dan Parker, and I asked him about how his group does parties. He talked about having a theme for parties i.e. pirates Bionicle, Star Wars, whatever.... and having do not touch models and play with models, as well as providing sets to build and parts to build with as well. You also build a model for the birthday kid. His crews go all out and build something huge. I also built a schweet little mech at his studio before going back home. I am not quite up the the grand scale of their parties, so for $150, I threw a nice Lego party. I took along two big totes of Lego, and three big totes of Bionicle. I had some random sets and mocs posed around the room in battle poses for decor. There were 15 kids at the party, and most of them wanted to build with Bionicle. They also did balloon fights for when they needed to blow off steam... (hyper 7&8 year olds.. lol) So many questions, and assistance calls, it took a lot to keep up with them all. Well, the hot set of the day..... Bohrok Bohrok of all things! They all wanted Bohrok! Good thing this random box had enough to make about 6 or 7 of em, plus I had about 3 or 4 already assembled on display in the room. It was an all out Bohrok fest on the bionicle pile. They were upgrading them with different shields and weapons. Trading disks and krana with eachother. It was fun to watch. Overall, they all kept very busy building. One of the moms who was there built a purple house out of bricks! Its so cool, I am gonna keep it assembled! There was also a cake that looked like it was made outta LEGO Bricks! Nicely made for a home cake indeed. It was a speckle cake, and she used marshmallows for the lego studs, and the bricks were frosted different colors. Very clever, and easy for a structured cake! The presents session was good, as the birthday boy got lots of gifts, including two clone trooper packs and an agents his speed boat chase set. The party favors were also $3 lego sets, and I got two of em courtesy of the birthday boy himself! How cool is that! Overall, it was a great party! The basement hall at the Library was a perfect place to throw such an event. She had reserved it for two hours, but thats never enough time. The kids wanted to build more! I don't blame em when there's a huge pile of elements at their disposal. I ended up giving the kid a raincheck for his birthday moc, (more on that in a moment) and I gave him a Bohrok Kal. He was happy no doubt! Now for his birthday moc, which is a detailed Toa, I am gonna have his uncle (my boss) take it to him. My boss paid for the party as a surprise gift to his lil nephew, cause he never gets the chance to do anything with him, busy schedules of all parties and such. So I think it'll be a good way for them to bond. So thats pretty much it for my Sunday. I have been chillen relaxin at home most of the day. lol seeya next blog! Now to finish that moc..........
  19. So, yeah, on the 5th of July, the Seward Racing Lions hold their annual mudbog race. Contenders from around the state as well as the local boys and girls all get together to go play in the mud! I hope to compete in this next year with my main man, as we are building a truck together. Heres a link to a folder containing pics of our truck. I will add more pictures as we go along, and get it going. Yonder Mudbogger Project of The Lohmanator and Roa McToa And now *drumroll* !!!MUDBOGGER COMPETITION PICTURES!!! (photo of Stock Class winner) Enjoy!
  20. So ah yeah, I got the most awesome call today! I am being sponsored to attend Brickcon in Octoboer! ZOMG WHEEEEE!!!! Possibly getting sponsored for Brickfair too! WOOT WHEEEEEE!!!!!!! Hopefully I will make it to both conventions! WHOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!
  21. I finished another painting. This one was painted using only Sepia watercolor, and is based off of an old photograph that was taken in the 1930's outside of Petersburg Alaska. I'll get better pics of it out of te frame in a couple weeks, as the glass is reflecting a bit of stuff, distorting things a tad. Enjoy!
  22. I finished my first successful batch of Squaw candy this year, and it turned out WAY better than the batch I tried last year. Once you've tried salmon smoked like this, you would never go back to your normal store bought smoked salmon! This batch was made from frozen fish from last year, so it is not as perfect as fresh caught fish, but is still dang tasty! The next batch will be even better! I am gettin gmy process dialed in, and I hope to be as good as my grandpa was at this.
