  1. The canon fact is that Vakama is simply a natural clairvoyant. Nobody is "sending" him any visions.
  2. Why do you think that Hero Factory characters actually speak English?
  3. I completely forgot that Episode 3 came out in 2005 lol, I thought the prequels were all in the 90s.
  4. What are some things you'd have changed about Bionicle's story? You can be as broad or as specific as possible. For me, I'd split 2008 into two years. Give the Phantoka a whole year, and the Mistika a whole year. The Toa Phantoka would have been all six Toa Nuva, and then the Toa Mistika would have been the Mahri plus Takanuva. Instead of having Makuta as cannister sets, they would have been Titans and the Toa would have directly fought other villains instead, such as Shadow Toa or mutated Rahkshi.
  5. This would make a lot of sense, since actually navigating at light speed in short distances would be nearly impossible.
  6. I wouldn't really call the Stars line "dignified..." They should have given them one fully-funded finale year, with more time to plan out the story's conclusion, and a proper line of sets.
  7. 2005 wasn't all that bad, it just needed to fit better into the overarching story somehow. After all, the only reason it even exists is because they wanted to use Metru Nui again.
  8. Yes it would. All of those cartoons you mentioned have similar tones and fit together pretty well. They're also mostly comedic, where anything can happen as long as it's funny. Bionicle isn't comedic. Then again, if you want to combine G2 and Hero Factory, go ahead.
  9. Same reason Ace Ventura hates bats, basically.
  10. A Bionicle x Hero Factory crossover would be terrible. Neither franchises would benefit from sharing a universe.
  11. G1 will never come back, and Hero Factory will never EVER come back. Also, nobody but you wants to have them share the same universe; it doesn't even make any sense.
  12. Yes it is. It's been 10 years. After a reboot fails, it'd be financial suicide to try again.
  13. Greg said once that Nivawk's was only Makuta's pet.
  14. It was purely to save money on legal fees with name claims.
  15. Your poll made it sound like you were going to accuse Lego is disrespecting Brown characters. Also, you could probably whip up a list like this with every color.
  16. What's wrong with his torso being inverted? It gives him a kicking function to make him stand out from the rest of the sets, both practically and visually. How is tan not a shade of brown?? And what does his personality have to do with anything? He's a friendly guy with a big heart who always tries to see the best in people. Besides Ta-Koro getting completely destroyed, of course, right? Again, build variety (and also probably to make up for Pohatu being short) Cool? Or rather, Guurahk's Disintegration power is similar to Panrahk's Fragmentation power. And no, they really aren't. Disintegration is single-target and causes some serious damage to the target inside and out. I think of it like a microwave sort of, with the way it eats away at the material. Fragmentation is a traditional explosive, which can hit many targets at once and cause a lot of shock and awe, but the force is coming only from the outside, like a conventional oven, meaning that big armor is more resistant to it, while Guurahk could just disintegrate the armor first. But Panrahk might not need to care about that, because he can deal with multiple enemies much easier and just knock them off their feet with his blasts. Or are Nokama's Hydro Blades similar to Onewa's Proto Pitons? There's no way to know which one was designed first. Both are pretty lame weapons, not only as weapons alone but the fact that they don't have any sort of alt-function. As for their Hordika forms, no, their weapons are much more different. Nokama has barbed hook fin things, while Onewa has two flails. And all of the Hordika were struggling with various personality issues, so I don't know what you mean by that last part. They were all kind of rogue. Ahkmou was the only actual traiter, though, because it tied back in with his 2001 shenanigans. Did every other Toa Hagah get a mask title in DoD? I don't remember. Your point? No, Roporak's color scheme looked great and I was thankful that they were trying new color combinations. Same goes for Toa Hahli, both Inika and Mahri. And Reidak has 3 "eyes," Vezok has a mohawk sticking out of his forehead, Zaktan has a silly nose, etc. Yes, yes he was. Greg chose him because of his weird personality, not his color. Brown is not a particularly appealing color for a toy when compared to red, white, or blue. Those animations were clearly developed before the color-switch was finalized. I don't know if Hewkii counts as the most different Mahri, because Kongu has an entirely new torso piece and Matoro has a really unusual build. Well in the story, Jaller Inika also had two swords in the book and I think Nuparu Mahri is mentioned having a blade along with his shield, too. Greg writes the stories based on the current model at the time, and if it gets changed after he writes it, he can't go back and change it. And that's why he's the best Phantoka. And Krika was a quadruped, and Gorast had six limbs. Your point? That they do. What gave it away? Why would they reuse Panrahk? That means they'd have to go back to using brown, and they had already committed to yellow. Well, Vorox was an exception. Also, no, the vast majority of Rahkshi do not have names. There were no more Rahkshi-sounding names on the approved word list. G2 does not matter.
  17. Where's the "Lego already respects them the same as other characters" option?
  18. Bionicle taught me that freedom is the right of all sentient beings.
  19. Most of this is pretty low-hanging fruit. Everyone knows that non-bending limbs are lame, but they had to keep the piece count down to keep things simple for kids. You definitely have a point about the Nuva Kaita, those things were wacky. Pohatu and Onua should NOT have been built like the other Toa; because that'd take away their uniqueness. Especially if it's just to fit into Exo-Toa of all things. Pohatu Nuva *is* shorter than Pohatu Mata, but that was done to make his head fall off less. Onua Nuva's bohrok arms were very bizarre. They're McDonald's toys. This is obviously a problem with the instructions rather than the set design, because in all of Hakann's promotional material, he's holding it the right way. Production flaw, not a design problem. It's intentional that the Toa had better Launchers than the Piraka, it's a special upgrade for them. They'd also look really silly on the small 2007 sets. Yeah, what were they even thinking? They shoot *down* at a 45 degree angle..
  20. My only real problem with the Inika build is that it lasted four years, *including* carrying over into the soft-reboot. I can *kind* of excuse the Inika build for lasting throughout the Mask of Life arc, so that the Inika/Mahri looked good standing next to the Nu-Nuva. But carrying into 2009 was awful. Especially since they didn't even really make any new armor pieces to go on the frame.
  21. 2B tries to sneak into a Street Fighter cosplay party.
