    Hey mange you're a bass player so you're a pretty cool dude. What bass do you own? I have the MM Sterling.

      That comes after practice. I know playing scales and practicing rhythms can be quite dreary, but they really help out. You can even figure out some songs by ear by screwing with the scales.

      You should check out the bassline for Sgt. Peppers. It's not the hardest bassline to play, and it gives you a really nice bluesy feel and I always find myself improvising around it.

       

      Plus, it's super fun.

      It's good that you're borrowing it. It's an okay bass, but you should really save up for something nicer if you're cereal about bass playing.

      That is partly why I don't think TFC is their best album. I don't hate it, and I like it better than the wall, but it's far from their best.

       

      To be fair, AMLoR only sounded Pink Floyd-esque because of Gilmour's solos. A Gilmour solo album sounds more like Pink Floyd than a Waters solo album.

      The thing with songs like Not Now John isn't that they're bad, they just don't feel very Pink Floyd. They're good, but it feels like it could be done by any other band that existed around at the time. (I know The Final Cut was more a Waters' album than a PF one, but you get what I mean)

       

      I agree about what you say about his voice. It's not the kind of album I could listen whenever I feel like it.

      I find Animals to be that album that really wanted to be the Wall but never managed to reach that stage. I don't hate animals, I don't love it.

       

      Is it strange that I liked The Final Cut more than the Wall itself?
