  1. Please let's just use "storyline convenience" or "a wizard did it" as the explanation rather than yet another mind-numbingly terrible story about "programming glitches" and all that nonsense... ~B~
  2. Can "confremed" become the new "Bionice"? That would be grand. ~B~
  3. I've only seen Grievous in person, so my perception may be biased, but I'd say he's definitely my favorite. I'll echo the sentiments that he was one of the easiest to adapt to CCBS due to not being a human, and he just has a tremendous presence due to his bulk. I'm definitely a big fan of his set. ~B~
  4. I've seen people rave about Ultimate Dume, which counts since it was sold as a boxed set in some places. Personally, I think that it's pretty ugly, which is pretty much a given for a combiner of sets with such varied colors, although the stick legs and general structure of its body didn't really do any favors either. ~B~
  5. Happy birthday! I hope there is much cake and celebration to be had. ~B~
  6. That's actually a really tough question. Does saying "all of the Yuuzhan Vong" count? ~B~
  7. you say that like you don't want ten Jango heads for your various Jango-themed MOC purposes. :b They'll have Mace Windu as a special guest to help out with that part. As for the parts draft, I'll definitely be joining! Jango has a lot of cool parts, and I wasn't planning on buying him, so this seems like a great opportunity! ~B~
  8. Overall I don't really like this set. Using almost exclusively Technic in this case makes for a set that looks like a jumbled mechanical mess rather than any sort of decent creature. However, I am very pleased to see the fin piece from 2008 return! Are those in medium blue or azure? I'd presume azure, but it's hard to tell directly from the photos. ~B~
  9. Agnua and Nomad are both quite nice entries, although ultimately the former won my vote. ~B~
  10. An alternative is just selecting the text, using copy, then pasting into the reply with Ctrl-V. The cause of it not working might be your browser's security settings, though, since on my computer when I try that option in Chrome I get a dialogue explaining to that effect. ~B~
  11. In what sense of complexity? The Kolmogorov complexity of a fractal is pretty low due to its recursive nature. ~B~
  12. Ah, here we go. So many great entries, so many perfect Halloween monsters to fit the theme. Witches, werewolves, bats, zombies, skeletons, jack-o-lanterns, disembodied hands. It was a tough choice! But in the end, I voted for what had to be the most unique of these MOCs. Disty's chair stands out for being a completely unexpected scary concept that also has great parts usage. As Dr. Orrin sang (more or less) in Little Shop of Horrors, my choice "Will be a dentist! It will be a success!" ~B~
  13. I disassembled Tahu, Lewa, and Kopaka along with the six Protectors at the end of the summer when I was sorting my CCBS pieces. I got Pohatu recently, and I still need to pick up Onua and Gali. Once I have those three I'll leave them together for a while, I think. ~B~
  14. Congrats to the winners! That poster is a sweet prize to win. Although, looking at the linked image, that one actually doesn't appear to be signed. Was the wrong image linked by mistake? ~B~
  15. For this one, I went with number 2. Nothing says Halloween like a totally righteous surfer dude werewolf! ~B~
  16. I had to go with the Groundskeeper for this one. Its head is probably the best LEGO pumpkin that I've ever seen. ~B~
  17. It was a tough choice between 1 and 6, but I eventually voted for the Fly Man. Because those Ant-Man wings and the Commander Cody shoulder-armor eyes are awesome. ~B~
  18. As awesomely expressive as Djokson's witch is, like all his MOCs are, I just had to vote for the sadistic dentist's chair. ~B~
  19. Ah, it's good to see that the polls are up. I voted for my Grim Effigy, but I have to say that there are lots of awesome entries in this poll! ~B~
  20. Great to see you MOCing again after all these years! I like this quite a bit. Everything looks suitably ominous, like the face restraint and the various sharp tools and whatnot. I think part of the effectiveness is from how it channels the general childhood fear of dentists and their tools, which is a cool effect to get scariness from associations rather than it directly appearing as inherently frightening. It also makes me think of the dentist from The Simpsons: "First I'm going to be chiseling some teeth out of your jaw bone. Now hold still while I gas you!" ~B~
  21. Entries two and eleven are both pretty amazing, but eleven won me over in the end. ~B~
  22. So, after figuring out that I made an acceptable MOC for this contest theme recently, without posting it on BZP, I was able to put in an entry after all! Whoo! ~B~
  23. Flickr So here I was, thinking how I'd miss yet another BBC Contest because it was happening during a college quarter when I'm away from my parts and don't have the time to make anything anyway. But then I remembered that I had made a thing recently without posting it on BZP, and even better it actually fits the current contest! And so life was good. ~B~
