  1. So... At the moment I am hesitantly planning on attending Brickfair Virginia 2020. Mind you, alot of shtuff can happen in between now and then, but regardless if all goes well, I'm hoping to be there in person. Will be my first trip out of Alaska since moving out on my own.

  2. *Rubs hands evilly together* Yess... The moment I have been waiting for... Oh god the excitement is real.
  3. Nah, Ko-koro as we know it is just an illusion put up by mata-nui after Ellitra actually burned/melted the entirety of the village to the ground.
  4. On the flip-side, Po-koro was Crackalackin!

  7. So I started this moc over a month ago, in an attempt to create a last-minute entry for BS01's contest, but I eventually gave up on finishing it for the contest. Instead I've spent the last month working on it, a large portion of that time spent being stuck on the legs. But it's been a long month, but I've finally finished it. I've finally finished my reimagining of Nocturn. I could have been done alot sooner, but all prior versions I just wasn't satisfied with. Unaltered Version This has been such a fun, yet challenging build for myself. I went into this moc with the desire to build something in the classic style of Bionicle, particularly without using CCBS. I managed to do that, minus a single ccbs bone in Nocturn's neck. Now you might be asking yourself why have I removed lime green from Nocturn's color scheme, and that has a somewhat complicated answer. See it always bothered me that Nocturn's tentacle was silver, yet that silver didn't really show up anywhere else aside from his weapons and teeth, yet if we assume the tentacle is a natural part of him, then by all rights silver should have been more prevalent in his color scheme. And so I took that complaint and ran with it. My headcanon explanation is that the silver on Nocturn is his unarmored, fleshy bits, with the blue sections being parts of his body that have grown carapace with age, creating natural armor. This also explains why his upper-right arm is all silver, as in canon he lost it in a fight with Pridak, which remains true in my reimagining, and his species is able to regrow limbs. As such this is just a limb that he's regrown, that hasn't had time to regrow the carapace, and as such is a bit weaker, hence the smaller weapon. Shrugs Makes sense in my mind. You might ask what the heck is going on with Nocturn's head, and that is a valid question that doesn't have a valid answer. I never liked Nocturn's set head, so instead I sought to give him a better head that still kept the "bestial" appearance. I like to think I succeeded in that goal. Also you might notice a bit of red "inside" the mouth in some pics, and that is there just to give some realism. Maybe it's a tongue, or maybe it's the inside? Could be either, as I added it with no real intent other than I thought it looked good. As for Nocturn's choice in weapons? Well I personally view axes as very noble weapons, and more importantly a defensive weapon best suited for protecting. So in my mind, You'd have the Knights who go off to find and fight the "Evil", wielding swords and spears, fast weapons if you will. However you would never leave the homeland undefended, so you have the Knights who remain behind to act as protectors, wielding large, slow weapons, ready to fight off the "Evil" when it strikes the homeland. Shrugs Again this is just my view of such things. The theme of BS01's contest originally was to take a character that is normally good or bad and flip it. So that is what I tried to do with Nocturn. While this version of Nocturn was still banished to the Pit for destroying his homeland, his imprisonment saw self-reflection, and a desire to change, to do good. To protect. Fast forward to Mahri-Nui sinking, and after the Barraki started harassing the Matoran, you saw Nocturn become an ally, a protector of Mahri-Nui, seeing it as a way to redeem himself. He's still not the brightest of light bulbs, but he's more of a gentle giant at this point. If canonically he's smart enough to realize he isn't wanted in the Matoran Universe, he's smart enough to change his ways. Quite amazed I was able to pull off this pose. So yeah, not really much more to say on this. It was a fun process, and is perhaps my favorite moc I've built to date. You can find some more angles of the moc in the Flickr album. Aside from that, have some additional photos of Nocturn I took. Spooky
  8. We will guide you along the holiest of paths Talk to the remains of Makuta in a one on one setting, and then get back to me about guiding anyone on any path.
  9. No, it isn't photoshopped at all. Honestly I find increasing the exposure time is perfect when taking photos in dark conditions, such as under blacklight, as it allows more light to reach the camera's sensors thus it being able to pick up what you saw. In truth, when taking this photo I had the moc up against a black background, with the only man-made lightsource being the Blacklight. The only other lightsource was what was coming through my window during that dusk time of night.
  10. A reimagining of Nocturn, where he sought redemption in his imprisonment. Image links to the gallery which should have complete photos by the end of the week.
  11. Hey Nato, you gonna be creating pms for the villages that are full already?
  12. To those of us in Po-Koro, I nominate we either keep Po-koro the same name, or we rename it to The Oasis, given it's in the middle of a massive desert, yet is able to support a surprising amount of life.
  13. It does, but that's the autobots unfortunately. Decepticons really don't have a good catchphrase.
  14. Thanks to Onaku, Kaathe shall have a catchphrase whenever ordering around his Kohrak "Kohrak, Mobilize!"
  15. Po-koro has Kohrak... Can't get much cooler than that.
  16. Honestly, po-koro might be a good bet given my actions last season, which I fully intend on continuing forward with that plot point.
  17. As I've said again and again, I just want Bionicle to stay dead... I think a spiritual successor would not be wrong, but rehashing Bionicle yet again would only end in failure.
  18. It's weird to realize I've associated my name with a white, blue streaked Reverse Pakaku that I've never actually used on a single moc before... I need to make moc with it at somepoint.

Oh yeah, you definitely need to do something with that!

  19. Wait that is medium green? looks way darker for some reason.
  20. Have to admit, while not an avid viewer of system, this is a solid moc. I'm digging that despite being so heavily armored, it seems to have good articulation, and those hand coverings... just fantastic. Though why the dark green and orange out of curiosity?
  21. I'd love to reprise my role as Kaathe, Diplomat of Po-koro... At least I'm fairly certain I was diplomat... Guess I'll be filling that other role as.. Scout? The role I was last game doesn't exist no more... shrugs
  22. I like to imagine the dead Jaller body was just transported via magical nonsense, so it's technically the same body.

    BZPMN 2 - Overview

According to my notes from S1, Ja and Yo were destroyed. I don't think I ever specified in-game which Krana was which, until people actually put them on. Ah, I just know it was the Krana that controlled the Panrahk that was destroyed in Ko-koro..

    BZPMN 2 - Overview

Nice to see the Krana will be getting somewhat of a nerf, at least in terms of how many Bohrok can be controlled at once. Though wasn't the Krana-Ca destroyed?
  25. I would wholeheartedly agree that the Rahkshi did work, but much like Kulta and the Skull Warriors, they were an enemy that was present from the start, or at least known at the start of the game. This gave them some form of "Relatable" connection. I can certainly say the twist with Panrahk wa likely my favorite part of this season, as it was something I certainly wasn't expecting, and provide some intrigue to the story.
