  1. OOC: This place is dead. Unless someone can resurrect it, count me out too.
  2. OOC: Just make sure you don't gmod. A bit of friendly advice. ;)For example, you can't charge an area full of hostiles and expect to survive, as logic would tell us. I'm not a moderator, so just take this as advice, but I'm sure the mods would also reccomend such.IC: "If you get shot, I fill in a pile paperwork."Allan briefly junted out of cover, aimed at an innie firing at the Master Sergeant and fired a few rounds at him, sending the hostile to the ground."Just keep your head down for a minute."In cover again, Allan prepared his rocket launcher.
  3. OOC: Yours :PI did refer to your char's actions specifically.
  4. IC: Allan sprinted for an empty room as he heard three insurrectionist voices fill the corridor."Hear that?" a deep, harsh voice spoke. "Get the breaching charge ready! We're going in!"Obviously they were referring to Ferris' attack on the same floor, just a room and a wall away. Upon the quick realization of such, Allan knew he had to intervene. The three voices, as expected, belonged to three different men. Insurrectionist EOD troops, packed with heavy and CQC weaponry. Any ensuing fight between Allan and the three would leave him highly disadvantaged if he attacked guns blazing, so instead he drew a knife and waited behind the door frame. Luckily, his VISR spotted a straggler. He waited for the other two the pass before he struck.Allan rapidly and stealthily leaped from the shadows, grabbing the slower hostile from behind, his hand over the innie's exposed mouth. Allan drew his combat knife over the enemy's throat with a short, inconspicuous slice, killing him almost instantly. As soon as the innie slumped, dead in his arms, Allan dragged the body into a corner and carefully laid him down. The breaching charge. They were going in. Surely, one of them would contact their allies on the other side as to not attract friendly fire.Allan drew his M6C SOCOM and crept out of the room, crouched as he advanced forward. His VISR noted the hostiles in a room up ahead."We're coming in, so don't do anything stupid!" That was Allan's cue. The soft, silenced shots of his sidearm did little to disturb the noise level of the room, merely illuminating the entrance with muzzle shots. One innie went down without seeing him, the other glared as Allan fired, but had no time to draw his weapon. As soon as he'd made sure they'd both died, he searched the bodies for the breaching charge. Given it's size, it was relatively an instant find. Allan also ensured he acquired the M90 Shotgun and rocket launcher from the dead insurrectionists.Placing the charge on the wall, Allan breathed in and paused briefly, before activating the charge and sanding to the side. The initial blast rocked the wall, only slightly surprising the enemies, for they had believed it to be reinforcements. What they hadn't expecting was a following two blasts from a shotgun, leaving two of their force dead in their wake. Allan took cover behind a pillar, taking another shot, but missing a hostile attempting to return fire on him. The shot did warn them off, however. What was a surprise, to Allan, was the absolute brashness of a Hellbringer, throwing a flashbang grenade and assuming that would be enough to defend himself. The entire area was a killing field, full of bloodthirsty enemies. In an attempt to rescue this ally of his, he pulled out his SOCOM and blind-fired a few rounds at the numerous innnies across the corridor that were raising their weapons, ready to kill. They backed off quickly."Get into cover!" Allan shouted over the comm. "Who are you and what the ###### do you think you're doing? You almost got yourself killed!"
  5. IC: Allan placed the final plasma grenade in the crevice of the ceiling above the turret. If needed, he'd blow it up with a single shot."Alright Ferris, when you're ready!"
  6. IC: Allan gave a short, almost inaudibe chuckle."Alright, take position against the stairs. I'm going for the far left of the floor."
  7. OOC: OK, I have evaluated things in the RPG. I didn't see Vak's pos regarding the turret or our characters' siuation. So, therefore, I saw Ferris' plan as a lot more flawed than it is in actuality. So, on account of the "personality issues", could you please disregard any of the unpleasant interaction passed, because it was born of pure lack of knowledge of the current scenario. In other news, I've spent a few das working and have managed open myself a nice window for free time.IC: "Thanks for the update Sergeant Major!" Myles told Graham. "Alright, our odds are starting to look much better. Ferris, get those gauntlets ready. Hellbringers, wait out of sight until he gives you the thumbs up. You can get a jump on them. I'll remain down here and make sure no stragglers find a way off of that floor. Any of them make a run for the turret and you can't get at them or it's too risky, just give me the word. Sound like a plan?"
  8. OOC: I have a tonne of coursework. That's why I'm leaving for a while.Please don't assume otherwise.
  9. OOC: It has nothing to do with my not liking the RPG. I just have better things to be doing than going around in circles on BZPower.
  10. OOC: Screw this RPG. take me off the list.OOC: Are you just making footage up now?
  11. IC: "Walking into an area with a gauss turret it suicide, Sergeant. Those gunners are just waiting for a target. They'll have their sights trained on you the second you step into sight. A jackal gauntlet won't protect you from that, it will rip you to pieces, especially provided the narrow space and lack of cover within it. And you can't take cover behind the wall either; the blast radius will still get you. You charge in either way, you're as good as gone. And jackals aren't known for using grenades, so I doubt the innies will buy that tact. No, we're not going either way. We'll need back up to pull something like this off, like men on the adjacent rooftop. The windows would make targeting simple. We were right beforehand, we need back up, but Graham is busy."The innies can pack a punch up there, but luckilly, their survival odds aren't good beyond. So if we can't charge the above floor, we could lure them down, take them out covertly. It is pretty dark down here. Although, there's holes in that plan as well."Look, we don't have many options. We wait for reinforcements and run the risk of the innies making their way down, in which we'd be forced into a covert combat role, or we can plan for it and lure them. Either way, it's far from ideal, but we can't step into range of that gauss; they've dug it in too well."
  12. IC:"Ferris, don't trash your career on insubordiantion," Myles told him. "I'll make the orders. You're right about dealing with them though. Here's the plan: I'll stay down here, you get up a story and take cover behind the stairwell wall. I'll take out the turret with grenades. When I do, get in there and open fire. They'll be distracted enough to make for easy targets."
  13. IC: "Get rid of the turret, then clear it out," Allan said. "One guass shot has the potential to blow us all to pieces. The explosion should distract the hostiles to let us get a jump on them as well. I'm not suggesting we leave the rest of those tangos up there once we take the gun out."
  14. IC: "Ferris, there's a reason we're staying away from that floor!" Allan said, grabbing his shoulders, making sure he did not move. "That is a gauss turret! It'll rip right through that shield! We've seen enough blooshed today. If we level the floor, the thing is taken out quickly and safely. I'm not taking chances so someone can look like a hero, understood?"Allan glanced at the floor beneath. It had been significantly weakened by the explosions and firefights that had rocked the building, with the plasta and concrete now quite thin. Indeed , the drama of the day had almost turned the hotel into complete wreckage."Scew it, we only need a few grenades," Allan told the two. "Easy work."By the way, Ferris, you're right about one thing, we have your six."
  15. OOC: That's what I thought, but then Flutter's post was a bit ambiguous as to its location, so I just went with the flow. :PFor simplicity's sake, can it remain there, or can we have 2? I can't be bothered thinking what else is behind that door. A bomb would be too typical.
  16. IC: "Yeah, I'd say that neccessary, before the thing level the entire ###### wall," Allan told Seah. "Let's just be thankful it isn't mobile."Allan looked around, oping for some inspiration that would allow him to take the hostile above out of action. Scanning the floor, he came across numerous plasma grenades."OK, I have a plan," Allan said, grunting painfully as he stood up, suit covered with ash in several areas, hunched over his injured leg. "See those 5 plasma grenades? If we have 5 people to throw them, we can drop the floor beneath that turret. And I say 5 people, because we'll need to clear out of there fast."Graham, can you send a couple of your guys up here, I have a plan to get rid of that gauss turret."Allan helped John and Collin to their feet and nodded, grabbing a plasma grenade from the bloodied ground.
  17. OOC: WORT WORT WORT: Failtroll has failed.
  18. IC: "I wouldn't risk anything until we know Seah. Whatever's behind there could very well have the potential to level this building," Allan told the Sergeant. "Wait... scratch that, O.N.I came through!"The relevant section of the drone feed played on the visor of Allan's helmet, giving him a glimpse of what lay behind the door, via a look through one of the windows."Graham! Those aren't civvies! Everyone, downstrairs! NOW!"
  19. IC: "Well, we've got some going off, not over the fire, but it'll keep it from spreading," Allan reported to Graham. "I have no idea if those are really civvies in there or not. I'd say we should just take the risk and see for ourselves, but innies have been known to use screams to lure in victims. I think I could determine whether they were genuine or not. I'll patch through to ONI, see if I can get a feed from a recon drone. if there're explosives in there, we're as good as dead if we open that door. If you have any friends at our dear old Office of Naval Intelligence, now would be a good time to tell me. We need to get this done very quickly."
  20. IC: "Alright, Cass, stay back, behind the corner, we're about to clear those hostiles," Allan told her over the comm.A few moments later, Allan gave the signal, and the three of them underarmed their fragmentation grenades into the screen of smoke, staring them down.A few shadows could be seen, fying against the walls, some diverging from larger shadows."Cass, how's that?"
  21. IC: "Roger that Cass, hold on," Allan repied. He proceeded to pull a hand grenade from his belt and signalled for Seah and Ferris to do the same.
  22. IC: BANG. BANG. BANG. Three shots resounded from the Crow's Nest Allan had occupied. A hellbringer insurrectionis dropped to the ground, barely having time to register the three holes in his chest plate, painted crimson from the blood that leaked from his wounds, inflicted mere split seconds ago. The hostile hit the ground with a dull thud, landing in the blood of two of his other allies, which had assumed that the 1st Sergeant was busy with his Sniper Rifle and would not hear their stealthy creeps. Allan did not hear their ever-quiet footsteps, it had turned out. he did not need to, for his sights had been down the hall before they had recognized the barrel of his side arm staring at them with rancor as they stepped into the Nest. the first had fallen before he realized his target, killed by a headshot. The next barely managed to grab his weapon before Allan shot him in the shoulder, causing his aim to veer sideways, burning the area to his right, missing Allan entirely. He was dispatched by a swift two shots to the thorax. The last innie was harder to take down. he had his weapon at the ready at this point, and shot licks of flame directly at Allan before he could open fire again. Commando rolling to the left out of the way, Myles barely evaded the approaching surge of fire, as well as the building conflagration to the right. The insurrectionist had the upper hand, with Allan trapped between a wall and an ever-growing inferno, and Allan had yet to raise his weapon. Smiling morbidly and he raised the flame thrower to doom his opponent, the hellbringer didn't see the flick of Allan's wrist, and did not spot the knife until it had plunged into his arm and torn through the muscle. Before the innie had a chance to recover, Allan again had drawn his weapon and shot thrice.Allan approached the fallen hellbringer, lying in the blood of his dead men, eyes wide with pain. Allan casually pointed the handgun at his head, but nodded ever subtely to show that the next action was to be done in clemence, not animus. The insurrectionist managed a minute, crooked smile before Allan fired a round into his head, preventing slow and painful death, potentially at the hands of the fire he had created. Of course Allan ensured his intentions were known only to him, and not any hostile onlookers. At this point in time, he needed to be feared, to ensure that he and his men were not seen s easy targets, able to be swarmed and killed. Trepidation bought the soldiers in the hotel time.Allan saw Collin and Seah down the hall, they just recently having finished fought their own small battle.Removing his knife from his vanquished enemy, Allan looked at them and told them, "For alledgedly calculating units of militaries, those snipers seemed to neglect the flamable tanks they were positioned around."Giving them no time for the ODSTs to reach each other, screams were heard.Allan investigated the source quickly. If he couldn't see them, there was only one area in which they could come from, the room at the farthest end of the hall."Civvies! They must have hidden during the intial attack!"Registering the accumulating fire, Allan noted they didn't have much time."Let's get in there gentleman!"Sarge, if you've got anything to control a fire down there, we'd appreciate it greatly if you could send it up ASAP!"
