I've been doing all the thinking about this lately, and honestly??? The last few years have probably been my most productive years, creatively. I have put a lot of things public. On BZP, offline and even at conventions and where have you. And even then, I feel like the community is mostly fractured out significantly? Not even on BZP but on other sharing and community sites there is a small niche group but nothing like the heydays. And I think a lot of that has to do with how much an online community itself has changed. There's a vaccum where a large community used to be, and I don't think there is a lot out there to fill it, at least not in the way it used to be. And maybe BZP could have been innovated more, and maybe it could have helped hone that interest with a safe place to do so. But maybe not? I don't know. I'm also working through a lot of things. All I'm saying is communities change and they move on and sometimes that's ok. But there's no reason you or I or anyone need to put that on ourselves. You can only do what you can, right?

Honestly this destroys most of the concerns I had for the casting of those two characters.

The roof is a triangle. Confirmed confirmed confirmed. For a $350 set it seems... underwhelming? It seems to be more play focused than a collector's set, which is what you can usually parse from the price tag. The current Disney castle sets as well as the Batcave are both very good in their respective markets, and this castle seems like it's trying to be both?

Absolutely not, and any accusations that I am currying favors to the contest host in the form of bribes is absolutely astonishing and I will not stand for it. I understand where you are coming from, and I agree that the system does put a bit of a disconnect in a G1 feel. I felt it was acceptable to include as we were awkwardly shoving in system bits in our MOCs figuring things out, and I wanted to honour that as well. Also I really love the way the head turned out. I am terrible at building good heads for stuff and here is the best one I've ever put together.

The parts I really wanted to get to [but ultimately never did] was finding my parents after having been totally not orphaned after a plane crash piloted by two skeletons of Totally Not My Parents You Guys They Are Fine. Also hey, some reference art I found for the titular big guy up there! I forgot he was also partially inspired by Mr. Bultertron from MTV's Clone High. What is a homestuck ripoff without countless and pointless pop-culture references!

I will not be there but I will be sending a representative in the form of a Bird Robot. Contained within will be a shipment of good vibes and other positive witchcraft from us to you!

I think this is one of my favorite entries for this contest. Love the junky pre-2005 feel and the inclusion of a function.

I love Disty's Manas, and while it is the best MOC here (and possibly in-contest) by technical standards, I'm really not digging entirely it for the contest theme. I think you could have really made it more like the face and jaws all the way through, thematically.

I think 3 nails the contest perfectly.
