    After seeing loads of comments posted in my shop about 'how long it takes for a banner to be done' I felt like making a short rant.

    Right; Firstly, do you (the customers) sincerely expect us bannermakers to devote our entire life to bannermaking? Ignore parents, school, tests, the lot? We have to put up with these things, and most people do, and yet you (the customers) expect us to wholly devote our spare time to fulfilling the requests in our shops. Have you got no respect for the fact that we too are living, human beings? We need our free time, we need our resting time - we need to be given a break from being pestered to spend our whole BZP lives making banners for customers who sometimes don't give credit!

    Secondly, is it life-threatening if you don't get your banner done in half an hour? While I admit something like a month is a bit long, a week or two should be acceptable given the amount of time shop workers have split between bannermaking and real life. If you dislike your current banner or something, then why not just remove it temporarily?

    Finally, if you do feel that your request has taken too long and you want to check whether it is being done, feel free to ask, but ask politely. Don't go in and say something like 'i ordered my banner two days ago i want it now :angry: ' or that sort of thing. REMEMBER THAT WE HAVE LIVES.

    Our school bus crashed. Or rather, another car crashed into it. And the headlight got smashed.

    I have a video if you don't believe me. Although admittedly, the damage is very small...the other driver was kinda annoyed. XD

    It's raining here! =O
    Well, it was kinda freaky last night, when it was pouring like mad on the highway. Our car had to go really slow, around 50km/h and there was loads of thunder. ><

    I had two tests today; Spanish reading and writing and Science.

    I've still got more. >>

    Soo less banner making time and less free time.

    At least on my Spanish reading test I got full marks.

    In the old days, Bionicle was great. The looks were what drew me to the sets and the unique storyline drew me to the...story.

    Now that's changed.

    Instead of having Ice blades and Magma swords, we have massive cannons that aren't much use in posing. Back then, when more or less no sets had these unsightly projectiles, you could actually make a Bionicle look like it was fighting. Now where have we gone? James Bond? Kopaka Newva's box illustration seems perfectly like that.

    Where is the fun and interest in watching mechanoids blast away at each other with very little melee action? That was one of the things I liked about Bionicle in the past. Now, it's just a meaningless boom-boom-kaboom-I-win sort of thing.

    Plus, I only have one word I can describe about the new sets, and that's 'disgusting'. Where has the coolness from earlier years gone? What's happened to brown? What's happened to the colours which represented the individual Toa? Why must we put up with hordes and hordes of grey and black, while other colours remain so scarce? Take Kopaka for example. He has nine white pieces. Nine. Out of what? Fifty-four. Nine white pieces on a Toa of Ice. Might as well call them Toa of the Black and White age.

    Some might question my like of Gundam, which is even more about blasting and destroying than Bionicle. The fact is, I find Gundam storylines to be deeper and more interesting than Bionicle ones. The models look cooler, their weapons are cooler, and there's a stronger mystery to the series, from what I've watched.

    Another issue bugging me is the complete lack of complexity. From '01-'04, it actually took a little while to build your sets. Now, it barely takes a minute or two. Compare that to a Gundam of similar pricing, but is much more complex and takes far longer to build. Bionicle sets now are just done in several steps;
    1: Open box.
    2: Dump pieces out.
    2 1/2: Get instructions. Optional.
    3: Snap joints in place.
    4: Put on mask.
    5: Done.

    On one of my other hobbies (Gundam), however, the process is a lot more complicated;
    1: Open box.
    1 1/2: Arrange piece frames. Optional.
    2: Open instuction manual. Required, unless you can tell the future.
    3: Build the inner body, the outer body, the inner head, the outer head, the arm and the arm-armour.
    4: Build the leg, then the leg armour. Then the inside of the waist, then the outside of the waist.
    5: Assemble weapons.
    It's actually a lot more complex, but I just shortened it to make it less tiring for my fingers. >>

    I decided to blog this instead of post it because I didn't want to get dogged by people yelling at me to get off BZ if I don't like Bionicle anymore. What do they want, my PMship?

    Our Geography teacher is absolutely rubbbish.

    On projects that are meant to take two weeks, she gives us one. And other classes get two weeks.

    Every class that doesn't have her gets two weeks.

    And she marks our work quite harshly.

    Any more misery in my life?

    Okay, so I did write it in a rather depressed mood.
