The Big Chinchilla

They were great, IMO; before The Resistance... Absolution and BHaR were both fantastic albums, from start to finish ('Ruled by Secrecy' just wins as a closing track), but I can't say I'm a fan of Origin of Symmetry. Just never grew on me, I guess... Yeah, Matt does know how to work the mic - and sing, no less! His voice grates, sometimes; but all I have to do is go and listen to something more generic and I'll instantly love him again. So yes, for the most part, I like em'. And, BTW... you ever looked into some of the more obscure prog rock/metal before? Porcupine Tree, Opeth, The Mars Volta, Sigur Ros, that kind of thing? You brought up the fact that you like people who make albums, not just a collection of unrelated songs; and these guys really know what they're doing (in my humble opinion), so... yeah. If you ever get the chance.

Including Kualus = Awesome Art doesn't have to be 'serious' to be good... cause' I definitely like this. The 'family portrait' idea was pretty cool; it's neat how you blended all your different characters (both imaginary and real) into one picture. But anyways... great work, as always. ^^

Taka, that's got to be one of the best drawings I've ever seen by you. The sheer emotion in it; let alone all the other amazing qualities it has, are just that - amazing. Can't even put it into words. Absolutely incredible job; I love it. The wings, the hair, the expression, everything - just awesome.

Sumiki, with all due respect, don't make assumptions about someone you haven't been able to properly experience. Zappa was just... different... than anyone else who's ever walked this earth. Granted, I thought he was a nutcase too, the first time I saw him (in Baby Snakes) but I came to realize the man is a genius. The music he made; the subject of the music he made, the impact he had on the way people make music... I can't even begin to describe it. You'd have to hear/see some of the stuff he's done to get an appreciation for him, anyways. (He found/taught Adrian Belew, too... imagine a world without him! No Three of a Perfect Pair! ) Pointless rant aside; I had no clue today would have been his 69th, so here's wishing it would have been a great one... if he was still here.

Everything you're dealing with is out of your hands, so there's no way that any of this is your fault. Really, worrying about school is way better than worrying about BZP. Even if you are eating yourself up on the inside, at least it's over something that matters... ...and, speaking of that; try worry about any of this. You'll do fine on your test (as always), the holidays will come, and everything'll go back to normal. Hope you feel better. ^^

...wait, what? Anyways... our world tends to work that way, yeah. Most of my 'friends' at school were people I just kept around me, so I wouldn't be completely alone. None of em' seemed to understand... understand me, understand the world around them; everything was just one big game. And, after a while, that does begin to hurt (you)... someone who actually cares. As you just found out... So, hope you have a best friend or two to fall back on; cause' in times like this, you don't have the luxury of picking who you can trust. My sympathies go out to you, man.
