  1. It could potentially be done in the hotel after all the activities for the day are over. That way you can more easily control who takes part, such as having an RSVP ahead of time, and you'd have more space because of less people crowding the tables with MOCs. It by no means needs to be a great filming set up because nobody expects us to be producing something of professional quality from BrickFair, but as long as you find a clean table, decent lighting, and some room to pull up some chairs, I feel like a hotel room would work.
  2. Yeah, in all my years of interacting with other LEGO collectors I've only met one with a Kabaya set that was in its packaging (and it wasn't even one of the Bionicle ones). :/
  3. Many of you may not know but back in 2001 and 2003, a Japanese candy company called Kabaya had some "promotional" Bionicle sets. They're identical to the standard versions of the sets but repackaged in promotional Kabaya packaging. There's a list of Kabaya promotional sets here. My question is, do any Bionicle collectors have any of these, and to a collector are they worth any more than the standard variant of the set?
  4. Will you do like BrickNerd does and allow some people to join in the hangout during parts of the live build, or will you just have it over YouTube?
  5. If you don't mind I've been meaning to try out Ace of Spades but never bothered to purchase it. Happy holidays to you, JMJ!
  6. I've seen it take anywhere from 20 minutes to a few days. You'll get it soon enough though; as said above it needs to be manually approved, so whenever the admins get around to it.
  7. Pinching my fingers in every ball joint from 2001-2006 as a kid.
  8. How much though? That's all I'm really asking for in this blog post is what people would pay for an item.
  9. I've also been checking Brickpicker. The problem is it's sometimes harder to find a good value for exclusive or promotional items since their value really depends on what a collector is willing to pay, not how much I paid for it.
  10. Which is why I'm not selling it? I'm asking for what interested buyers would pay for it so I have an understanding of its current value.
  11. I'm only asking for people's assessment of their value. I'm not making any sales or reservations yet.
  12. Which Ninjago set? 9440 or 9557?
  13. To be honest I feel Bionicle was more "normal" in its early years as far as action figures/robotic people go. Things like the Vahki, Piraka, and Phantoka lines were pretty unusual.
  14. UPDATE: I now only have two (2) of 40084.
  15. Hey guys so in my further ventures of cleaning out "old" stuff I've been accumulating over the years I've got some unopened LEGO sets that I was looking to see if anyone had any interest in. Please note I'm not selling any of these yet and might not any time soon. I'd just like to know what any of you would be willing to pay for these. All are brand new in their packaging. 40084 Accessory Pack (x2) - 2013 Exclusive Tahu Mask - 2014 1668 Special Offer Trial Size - 1992 9440 Venomari Shrine - 2012 5002203 Radio DJ Robot (x2) - 2014 9557 Lizaru - 2012 850487 Halloween Accessory Set
  16. People think Galidor was weird? Try CYBOTS.
  17. http://i.imgur.com/rtg6TuH.jpg Curse you LEGO for making the protectors' boxes only millimeters too big for a small flat rate box
  18. I had just come home from a friend's house who had a really cool dog named Miko. I didn't know how to spell that when I got home, but it was the first thing I thought of when I needed a username to sign up here. Meiko was my first online screen name and I've come to use it on most sites that involve LEGO.
  19. Congratulations to all the winners! I couldn't follow all of the entries because there were so many; it must have been even harder to narrow it down to just 3.
  20. Cool, I think that's about what I bought the set for. In that case, I'd be willing to throw in a seller's profit of at least a few more dollars. Maybe about $12 total for the set, and I'd pay shipping. But that's just me. You could probably get a better deal on eBay. Do you reckon the value will go up long-term? There's kind of nothing special about the set but I've been holding onto it because I have no more use for it opened than sealed.
  21. Just a fun trivia since it didn't seem to be stated is the symbol on her outfit is 六 which is the Japanese symbol for 6 which more than likely references that she's the sixth ninja on the team (much like the 5 on young Lloyd's t-shirt). Brickipedia's got some information about her as well.
  22. First time in a long time I've been intrigued by something covered in BZPower news. I wasn't going to bother watching the animations but after seeing this I was convinced to do so. Five appearances is quite a lot. Even if it turns out that the Vahi is the Mask of Ultimate Power or whatever (honestly haven't been following Bionicle 2015 much at all), it seems weird they'd include this easter egg five times. Once seems like enough to be an easter egg of this sort.
  23. That sounds like a price I could be happy with. I'll let you know if I decide to sell them or hold onto them longer.
  24. I have no idea lol that's why I posted this blog. Does $5-6 sound good? (It would also depend on whether BZP ever does the raffles of the pile they got) If that's how much it's worth right now then I won't sell it any time soon haha
