  1. My dude have you considered tagging them or sending them a PM directly
  2. IC: "Maybe we just focus on Stannis, given he seems to be the one most clearly in charge?"
  3. IC: Never fear, Dehkaz, I'm watching too. That's why I took the bottle from her reach. "Perhaps a little earlier?" I suggested, cutting back in to the conversation at hand. "After we were down at the ruins of Xa-Koro, when you split from the larger group? Might help me figure out what happened to Merror and Agni after I lost track of them as well."
  4. IC: With Dorian wrapping himself around Krayn and Skyra looking like she was about ready to melt into a puddle of pure embarrassment, I couldn't help but laugh at the goings-on around me. From serious to silly in seconds. "Luten, you picked an awfully odd time to come in and try to be your usual adorable self." Not that the others in the room weren't managing to keep up with it, in their own various ways. "Thanks for pointing out those flip-up sights to me, earlier. I'd never have noticed them otherwise. I'm used to the sights just being permanently stuck in the 'use' position."
  5. IC: "I expected something, but that commentary wasn't it."
  6. IC: The look only grew stronger. "Reallly."
  7. IC: I turned and looked at Skyra with a raised eyebrow.
  8. IC: I squinted at the ex-lieutenant. I'd barely noticed it earlier, but he was being fairly ginger with his shoulder. And now, again in here. Still, it had been basically turned into ground meat by the time I got around to it; not sure what lingering bits might've healed in some off way or the like. I grabbed a fourth—and fifth, just in case Dehkaz wanted some as well—glass, and gave Krayn his own bit of bourbon. "Want me to check up on your shoulder some time? I could at least give you some good stretches and exercises to get more of your old range of motion back."
  9. IC: Alright, time for the old five finger pour. It wasn't that I'd forgotten how flighty Dorian could be, it was more that I just hadn't expected it so soon in the conversation. "Luten, keep an eye on her and make sure she stops with that glass. I wasn't planning on us draining the bottle." I turned to Krayn and Dehkaz. "So, Krayn, you're rejoining the crew, right? Because I'll be honest, with you not around I've been feeling like I somehow took your space in the group, and we all know that's a terrible idea."
  10. did they relax the double-posting rule when i wasn't looking
  11. IC: "Sinshi, I always play nice." Sato smiled warmly at Whitehot, giving another small bow. Of course, further in the back of her head... If you hurt my cousin I'll cut you to ribbons and feed you to the Kavinika. They'll never find you. The protodites won't even be able to find you. I will destroy you if you do anything bad to— The warm smile was still there when Sato came back up from the bow. "Nice to meet you!"
  12. IC: Sato's eyebrow went up just a little higher, her smile shifting from mischievous to a bit bemused. "Would this be the one who picked out the jacket for you, cousin?" she asked, quickly taking stock of Whitehot. Tall, shapely—with a nice jacket of her own—and muscled enough it looked like she could toss a fully grown Kane-Ra a few bio without much trouble. I always knew Sinshi had good taste.
  13. IC: I shuddered involuntarily at the mention of Cael connected to brain injuries. Not because she was poor at doing the work or anything of the sort, but...having a Mark messing with my head had been bad enough. Having another Mark grab me and Cael both and force all three of us into the same conjoined mind-space was not an experience I particularly wanted to repeat, even if it was impossible to repeat. "I don't want to sound like I'm talking myself up here," I started, holding up a hand, "But I don't know that she'll be of all that much more help here than me. When the both of us did our work on Utu's brain, that was deeper than either of us had ever delved before, and we had his Mark holding our hands the whole way through. They're...tricky, to say the absolute least. And it's not something either of us specialize in." I turned back to Skyra, nodding at the glass in her hand. "That's a big part of why I've been getting on your case as much as I have to be careful and take care of yourself. I just don't know anything that can be guaranteed to help any more than time in this case. That said..." I turned back to Dorian. "As far as I've been told, our first run in this leaky tub is going to be over to Ga-Koro, and I was assuming that's where Cael's gone back to after we parted ways after we buried Utu. I was hoping I'd be able to take some time to find her and at least try with Skyra, and if you can make that happen even faster, it'd be appreciated. I just don't want any of us getting our hopes up too high."
  14. IC: I, meanwhile, had already swiped back the bottle and moved it somewhere that I could remain in full control of it. "Boards thrown by angry, Makuta-worshipping Toa have a habit of causing such, it seems. It's part of why I was making her wear earplugs earlier, and why I'm generally trying to get her to take things easier than she's ever done in the past."
  15. IC: "Make sure not to overdo it, Skyra. Brain injuries and alcohol don't get along that well."
  16. IC: Sato raised an eyebrow at Sinshi's near-slip, a small, mischievous smile growing on her lips. "It got dicey," she admitted. "I'm surprised as many of us made it out as did, honestly." Then she turned to the other members of the group, deciding to actually take part in the conversation at hand, and not just mess with Sinshi. "Missing someone? I'd be happy to help find them, rather than just sit around and enjoy the scenery." She shrugged; as nice as Ga-Koro was, it was a bit boring for the warrior not having anything to do. "And I'm sure that would be more appreciated than me following my favourite cousin around and telling her how cute her new uniform is." Not that she intended to give up on the backlog she owed Sinshi after all of those florid bows and 'my lady's and such that she'd always subjected her to.
  17. IC: "A little dilution can bring out different flavours. It's why I've relaxed a lot on the neatness stricture myself over the years." I took a glass back from Skyra, taking a small sip of the bourbon. Yes. Absolutely worth holding onto all these years. "Well, Dorian, I would've figured you'd also have been the 'I'll sleep when I'm dead' guy, but it looks like you've been getting less, if anything." Couched in humour though it may have been, I'd be amazed if he didn't pick up on the concern there. "Last I saw you was underwater at the temple, and now your eyes look like you've been to Karzahni and back. What's been happening with you?"
  18. IC: I held up the three rocks glasses I'd pulled out. "You pouring?" I asked Skyra. "Also, do either of you want ice? No judgement if so."
  19. IC: "That was Yuru. A bit later. And no, you really didn't dream it. Remember a week or so later, though, when you ran into me again, with that officer Daylaria? Y'know, the one you called Officer McHottie and tried to get me to hit on?" It really had been a ridiculous few years. "Did I tell you she turned into a Valkyr?"
  20. IC: Dorian, raising his hand for my bottle. My bottle that I had been saving, for...how long had it been? My bottle. But I still had to grab glasses. If you smash this...no, if you drink all of this before we have a chance, I'll take this mask and purge the alcohol from your system before you even feel a buzz. I passed the bottle over to him, before reaching back down in to the cabinet for glasses. "It was an interesting time, yeah. No clue what happened to the Toa who did it, though...can't exactly say I blame him for it either. Y'know, all things considered."
  21. IC: I almost immediately started to ignore the other two as they found places to sit in my office, bee-lining to a cabinet and starting to rummage through it. "Last I remember hearing about anything, Tillian's still in Ga-Koro," I said, somewhat absent-mindedly while looking at the labels. No, no, no. "Of course, that was when we had countdown timers on our arms, so I'm not entirely sure." No, not Unari's rum, that's too sweet— Well, not yet anyways. Same for the mead from The Crucible. Their wine wasn't what I wanted either, although that was a lot more palatable at this point in the day—not super sweet, and all my Le-Koro wines were a lot brighter and fruitier, so they were a no-go for the moment—"Bloody Karzahni, where did I put it?" I lifted my head over the cabinet door, glancing back at my desk. No, no bottles there. Look back in, shove some things arou— Aha. I stood again, a plain, still wax-sealed bottle. "Here we go. Ten years aged, ninety-three proof, and one I've been holding onto since somebody decided to attack me with a tree-sword before I could open it. You both like bourbon, right?"
