  1. I voted on 'other' for support - I could possibly provide some ideas for small things in the story, and I'd certainly support the project by spreading the news around. As for form of media, I think writing is the safest bet. It's something that only requires knowledge, concepts, and something to write/type with, plus a large chunk of the franchise was told in the form of books and serials. Ideally, I'd like to see MNOG-esque projects with a large scope and upgraded graphics, but for media revival to float, we need to start small. Games would take a while to develop, while writing can be launched faster and easier.
  2. So I guess I'm gonna try this, so here we go! (sorry for the inconvenience with the profile topics, failed to notice the part above the template, but I've got it now) Name: Krentom Species and Gender: Male Toa of Stone Appearance: Krentom is a very bulky and muscular figure who keeps most of his body covered in rags and armor, ranging in color from beige to dark brown. Most of his armor is chipped and jagged from years of use, though it keeps a unified look. He has dull blue eyes and a distinct slender look to his face, contrasting with his otherwise toned physique. Kanohi: Krentom wears a dark brown Volitak, chipped like the rest of his armor. He often puts on a decorative second mask over it, not corresponding to any particular mask but rather resembling an elongated Rahi skull. Weapons: Krentom mostly uses his hands to do dirty work, but he also wears two large wrist guards with claws mounted right over his fingers. Gear: Various small packs with basic survival materials such as food, lightstones, some basic tools, and whatever things he comes across that he considers useful, and various cloaks and bits of armor. Abilities, Powers, and Skills: Krentom is a seasoned hunter, with knowledge of the various Rahi across the island and the techniques he needs to hunt them. He's also a survival expert who is well-adjusted to the harsh cold. Even outside of hunting he's a tough fighter, and of course he has control of stone due to being a Toa of the element. Personality: Krentom is a gruff Toa who isn't afraid to be direct about what he wants or thinks. Due to spending most of his time on the outskirts of the villages and cities of the island, he is often ignorant to political happenings or anything that doesn't concern the wilderness. Despite coming off as brash and rough, he is open to working with others and his main concern is keeping people safe from whatever troubles them. Weaknesses: While he is adjusted to the cold and spends most of his time hunting, Krentom is still vulnerable to Rahi and the harsh nature of the island. He also focuses on one problem at a time, leaving him vulnerable to sneak attacks, and he's rather arrogant about his skills, leading to him underestimating tough enemies. Biography: Krentom was the self-appointed defender of a Matoran stronghold towards the Tren Krom Peninsula on the Northern Continent, forming a makeshift team of Toa to keep the inhabitants of the stronghold safe. Despite their best efforts to keep Rahi out, they inevitably got in, and eventually the other Toa left one by one, needed in other settlements, until Krentom was the sole defender of the remaining population of the stronghold. Eventually the stronghold fell, and Krentom began a nomadic life, eventually arriving in Ko-Nui upon hearing of its harsh winters. Seeing it as a challenge to survive, Krentom began living in the outskirts of society, defending various villages and honing his skills as a hunter.
  3. didn't see the actual part about needing to be approved, ignore this post for now, sorry for the inconvience
  4. Awesome! I'd like to do the +1 for each stat, and for my free item, I'll get an Arachnix Drone! If any other champions want to challenge me I'm open for it!
  5. Yo Norik, I PMed you a while ago, I'm interested in that voyage if you didn't get it!
  6. These are really cool! Ehlek is a bit bulky, but Kalmah looks very nice- strong, lean, pretty good for him! I like the way all of the armor flows and forms a nice, coherent build.
  7. IC (snowy plains north of Ko-Koro) Lienkel continued walking. He had seen the brothers talking about him when he sat down, but he hadn't found the right words to use to them about it. Suddenly, breaking what was mostly silence aside from the harsh cold wind, he spoke with a sharp, chilling tone. "I lost a friend. A brother.", the Lesterin said, still walking against the wind as he told his tale. "His name was Avercil. Great with a crossbow. Best brother in arms I could ask for, especially with me being a loner and all. We raised karz all over the place. One night I just forgot the plan we laid down, and I didn't knock out the right guards at the right time. The next morning, as I stepped outside whatever fort we were raiding, I found Avercil dead on the ground, arrow through the head." Lienkel sighed. "That's why I need to remember things more."
  8. IC (Somewhere on the outskirts of Ko-Koro): Lienkel sat down for a moment, slightly worn out from the jog through Ko-Koro. As he found a spot to rest, he looked up at the magnificent architecture. A true marvel, and with wind power too. Quickly he remembered the Akiri and chuckled. "Matoro was wise to build all this. If only he were wise enough to not be part of all this tension between the Koros...", the Lesterin said. Suddenly, his eyes shifted from awestruck to sad as painful memories surfaced. "Sometimes I forget the things that are the most important.", Lienkel mumbled, clearly distraught. Quickly he stood up and began walking again. "Off through Ko-Wahi we go. If we're fast, we can reach Onu-Koro before sunset.", he said, wanting to change the subject desperately.
  9. IC: The Lesterin nodded. He used his Matatu to pick up the notebook and gave it back to the brothers, while also picking up his axe. "We'll have to head up through the north before we can reach the entrance. Shouldn't be too far.", Lienkel said with a smirk. As he stepped out into the snow, cold invigorated his body, and signaled the brothers to follow him as he went off into the village.
  10. If you still need a Class A character, I'll throw in Jaller. Seems nice for his first fight. EDIT: I'm also proud to bring you NINJA'S FIGHTING TIPS WHICH PROBABLY AREN'T THAT GREAT BUT YOU COULD GIVE A CHANCE. Buy items and trainers that compliment your fighting style - I cannot stress this enough, don't buy items just because they seem strong. If you're going to toss in Widgets for an item, make it something that works with your style, something you think will really come in handy. Flying items fit with just about any strategy, but other things may require you to think about how you fight.Use your powers to their fullest - If you go too far, Pahrak will tell you. Just try out unique ways to use your powers- I've won myself several matches with Furno by using his control over fire to heat up the ground. You should find ways to use your powers in the least predictable way- use things like control over water to dehydrate the area, manipulate the arena, go wild.Have a lot of fun - This is really important. This is just a fun forum game, so don't get mad if you lose a match or don't have a lot of Widgets. If you lose, then it was still fun to make a strategy, and you can say you learned something from the match and congratulate the winner. Just have fun with the game, don't take things too seriously, and you'll have a great time here.
  11. I'm voting for Dragon Bolt and Hakann. The Piraka need some lovin' in this arena!
  12. IC: Quickly, Lienkel scribbled a map onto the paper. He drew the basic shape of the island, then where they were. "This is Ko-Koro...", he said, drawing a line up to Onu-Koro. "We head north, then we go down south through Ga-Koro to Ta-Koro.", the Lesterin mumbled. Then, he finished the oval-ish shape he was drawing by passing through Le-Koro back to Onu-Koro. "It's simple. Plus, it means we get to pick up that stuff from Le-Koro, and visit Ga-Koro. I heard the ocean looks great over there.", Lienkel said with a grin.
  13. If possible, I'd like to sponsor Jaller, although I'm not sure how the multi-sponsor works.
  14. So I'm gonna be honest here- what's with these Akiri things? I don't see anything about them or a 'Xa-Koro' in the index, and no one's really filled me in on them.
  15. IC: Lienkel nodded. "Onu-Koro's up north of here, and it's underground. They have some pretty neat stuff down there. If you want to make a living here, then I say we head down to Onu-Koro for some tablets, hit Ta-Koro down south for some tools and weapons, and then see what work we can find from there.", the Lesterin said. His mind was analyzing the routes they could take, and he nodded. "Quick, hand me something to write on... I think I can make us a map, but I have to make it before my memory of the route fades."
  16. I swoop in with the eagle-jet-thing from Chima and grab the mask with talons. And just for the heck of it I shoot a chi blast at you. My mask!
  17. IC: Lienkel nodded. "We should head to Onu-Koro first. As far as I can remember the business there is good.", he said, stepping out of the tavern. As his armored feet crunched in the snow, the Lesterin took a moment to remember which way was north, and nodded to himself. "Should be up north. I think you'll be surprised at the village's... location.", Lienkel said, holding back a chuckle. "The new ones always are."
  18. IC: The Lesterin looked slightly confused. "I'm heading to Onu-Koro to get a tablet, but... who are these Akiri?", Lienkel asked. He shook his head and laughed a bit. "Nevermind that, you can explain later. I've seen plenty of this island- and I can guide you.", he said.
  19. IC: The Lesterin looked to the brothers once more. "So you're new around here? Well, I happen to be a bit of a nomad- and I'd be happy to help you out, as long as I get to defend people.", he said. He held out his rough, worn hand for a handshake, and a warm smirk formed on his face. "So yes, I take you up on your offer."
  20. IC: Lienkel looked to the two Vortixxes. He slightly recognized them, but other than a familiar look his memories were fuzzy. "Hello there. Excuse me if I don't remember you- and I don't- and what time we've spent together. My memory's as good as a Ussal Crab's.", the Lesterin said, sipping from a metal cup. He stood up from his table and walked to the brothers. "I'm Lienkel, although it seems you knew that, so what are your names?", he asked. A grip tightened on his axe, as he wasn't entirely sure if these brothers were friends or foes.
  21. OOC: Leaving Ko-Koro soon, last chance to come along I suppose IC: After a while of searching, Lienkel had found it- a map. He knew where to go, knew what to do- he felt pretty good. However, there was a tagging thought in the back of his head that told him he was missing something... but he had no idea what. He sighed and sat around in the snow once more, looking around the town. The Matoran of Ko-Koro seemed happy, and Lienkel always loved seeing the villagers cheerful. Often he'd head down to Le-Koro and join in celebration, or rest in Po-Koro. As a nomad, he got to see lots of cheerful people- and that made him cheerful, too. As the sun shined on Ko-Koro, the tall Lesterin walked around the streets, when suddenly he noticed a tavern. He headed inside, being careful to bend over so he wouldn't hit his head on the door's frame- which was obviously made for Matoran. He sat down on a bench near the entrance and relaxed. Even though the Ko-Matoran were used to living in the cold, by the warmth and atmosphere of the tavern, Lienkel could tell they appreciated a warm day sometimes too. The tavern was near-empty, with not much going on, but that was ok for the Lesterin- he wasn't in the mood for a crowded place right now.
  22. IC: Lienkel blinked for a moment, then looked around for the one who had answered. "Uh... whoever answered, thanks.", he said meekly, trying to not draw attention to himself again. He began jogging north, as he slowly remembered what he was doing. He had heard about a tablet of some sort, and decided to invest in getting one, seeing as his memory was bad. However, just as he was taking off, he stopped- he wasn't sure which way he was heading, so it seemed logical. He began heading back into town, looking for a map.
