  1. So, a conversation with some colleagues today gave me an interesting idea for a "famous last words" statement... "Nah, those Mayans never got anything right." Just to be safe, I bid you all a happy afterlife.
  2. Drat, looks like I'm going have to sit this one out due to life taking precedence and procrastination, mostly the latter. I sure look forward to reading and voting though. Best of luck to everyone!~Necricorn
  3. An extension would be useful, maybe a week or two?I allowed myself to procrastinate, then started thinking that I wouldn't be able to cough up anything readable in a few days. An extension would certainly help, maybe not with the readability, but at least the story would actually exist in some form of mangled, twisted mess. ~Necricorn
  4. That is the hardest I've laughed all day long. Well said, well said indeed.
  5. Will do, I'll get what I have together and PM a snapshot.
  6. So, I was buying some new music today in anticipation of an upcoming road trip. I bought a Strings Tribute album (yes, I'm that geeky, and yes, they're quite epic), and found something rather oxymoronic in my recommended products list... o.0 I somehow have my doubts...
  7. Okay, I'm thinking that I'd be able to go through my collection tomorrow and at least find the unique parts for the Iron Predator (minifigs, parts with stickers, treads, etc.) if you'd be interested. (Tomorrow is my last day before I move out, so I'll need to seal any deals then.)Incidentally, I don't have any Dinos from Johnny Thunder, just Dino Attack. I've got a Johnny Thunder elephant though. If you'd still be interested in the animals, I'd be willing to sell all of them, the plants, baseplates, and whatever brown bricks I can find for $20, shipping included.I'll keep you up to date on what I find from the Iron Predator.
  8. I know I've got some palm tree leaves, cacti, flowers, and seaweed in regard to the botanical realm. I have some a few dinosaurs from Dino Attack, a Johnny Thunder-era elephant, some horses, a cat, snakes, alligators, scorpions, and probably a few more that I'm forgetting. Brown bricks will be harder to find when I'm digging through the lot, and I don't have as many as other colors, but I've got a few. Are we talking just the basic bricks, or could you use some barrels, fort walls, etc.?By the way, I was looking through your trade topic. I've got a handful of baseplates, and I would be able to get you at least the unique parts for the Iron Predator. If I could find the instructions online to cross-reference, I should be able to get you all the pieces, if you're interested.
  9. When I came to the first page of the blog listing and saw that over half of the entries concern Asylum of the Daleks, my reaction was quite simple. "Thank goodness, I'm among Whovians again!"
  10. Yup! I'm working a deal to sell the Jungle Slizer, but besides that, everything is still available.
  11. I just came back last week following a hiatus that lasted over two years. The two years were spent learning to do my job, now that I'll actually be working, maybe I can focus on some of the finer things in life.
  12. Hey Bones (or any judges), I've got a couple of quick questions.I'm thinking about writing about Krika. Would it be alright if I was to open my story with a large, army vs. army battle in his area of the Northern Continent? I realize that I'd be throwing in a bunch of non-canon characters, but they'd essentially be unnamed cannon fodder. The point of writing about the battle is to show a great psychological effect which it has on Krika, it isn't meant to be a "Makuta Krika beats up everyone and it's awesome" scene.I was thinking that the other combatants would be a mix of species; in-story I can lampshade it as mercenary groups hired by both sides, but it should also help prevent anyone from thinking: "If two armies of Race X are fighting, then Race X must canonically live in Krika's domain."I'll leave the area unnamed, of course. The lack of specificity would actually play a large part in the effect the battle has on Krika.Secondly, I'll probably spend most of the story around the time of Teridax's takeover of the Brotherhood and the Great Cataclysm, but would it be permissible for me to "fast-forward" to Karda Nui for the last few paragraphs of the story? The scene would start after Gorast disrupted Krika's density control and left him behind.Biosector01 says that he "eventually faded from existence", so I was thinking that I'd use that indefinite amount of time for a bit of a catharsis (as cathartic as helplessly fading to nothingness can be ). I'd have the story end as he dies (or at least loses the ability to narrate in the first person), probably a little while before the Karda Nui energy storm, just to avoid any conflict with the "character must have died before Mata Nui awakened" rule.Oh, and one more. Would a one-on-one battle between two named Makuta be possible as long as it supports future storyline events and neither one dies?Well, those weren't really quick questions. Thanks in advance!
  13. Ah, so that's how that works...

  14. I should be able to find most of the Slizer's parts, though I do prefer to send larger shipments, so there may be a few extras thrown in. ;)Looking through your list, the only things I have for sure are ball joints and a Vahki waist or two. I've got the day off of work tomorrow though, so I should have some time to dig around and see if I have anything else. I'll let you know.In terms of the games, are you interested in the whole lot, or just Heroes and Lego Island? I'm trying to prioritize selling the lots over just one or two when possible. Okay, thanks a lot! Just about how much might this cost by the end though, with those extras (which I would also be willing to receive )As for games, I think just those two, since Bulik claimed the rest. Could you just throw those into my shipment then? I'm sorry if I'm being a burden and dividing everything here.No problem, I'm happy to negotiate. Only problem will be that I'm currently working on selling the whole game lot to Bulik, including Heroes and Lego Island, and like I mentioned, I like to prioritize larger sales when I can. Sorry. In terms of price, I wouldn't estimate much more than $20 in the end, I've still got to dig through and see what I can find from the list of parts you're looking for, I'll let you know. ~Necricorn
  15. Yup, the CDs are in good shape. I've never noticed any problems playing the discs, most of them were only played a handful of times before I ripped the music to my computer. The only problem I've noticed with the cases is that Sanctus Real's Say it Loud case has a cracked hinge and the two halves of the case will come apart when opened, but it still stays closed when latched.I'll be shipping from the US, yes.I'll take them, then! Shall we arrange payment via PM?Sounds good! I lined out the CD collection from the main listing to show that it is reserved, and will PM you in just a minute.~Necricorn

  17. Greetings, everyone!Due to my job, I’m going to be moving in a few days, probably to an apartment with limited space. I also want to avoid leaving any clutter for my family to handle, and thus, I am selling my entire Lego and Bionicle collection.Fortunately for any prospective buyers, I am crunched for time, and need to sell all that I can as soon as possible. Therefore, I’ll be selling everything in bulk, at prices much lower than total value.I’ll be selling a bulk lot of Bionicle and Technic pieces, a bulk lot of System parts, as well as some assorted DVDs just in case someone is interested.Edit:Important Note!I'm moving out of my old house for good this Tuesday, the 4th. Any purchases will have to be negotiated, at latest, early that morning. Tuesday will be my absolute last chance to either ship anything or pack a box to have ready to ship, and I'll have the topic closed.(Now, to the fellows with whom I've been negotiating purchases, don't worry, I haven't forgotten you, we'll work things out as discussed.)Bionicle and Technic sets include, but are not limited to: In progress... 8532 Onua (Toa Mata) $78686 Toa Lewa (Toa Phantoka) $12.998687 Toa Pohatu (Toa Phantoka) $12.998691 Antroz $12.998693 Chirox $12.998697 Toa Ignika $19.998724 Garan $48726 Dalu $48727 Toa Jaller (Toa Inika) $108729 Toa Nuparu (Toa Inika) $108733 Axonn $208734 Brutaka $208893 Lava Chamber Gate (Playset) $39.998911 Toa Jaller (Toa Mahri) $9.998913 Toa Nuparu (Toa Mahri) $9.998914 Toa Hahli (Toa Mahri) $9.998915 Toa Matoro (Toa Mahri) $9.998922 Gadunka $19.998925 Barraki Deepsea Patrol $29.998930 Dekar $4.998935 Nocturn $14.998941 Rockoh T3 $39.998942 Jetrax T6 (Blue edition) $49.998945 Solek $6.998946 Photok $6.998947 Radiak $6.998948 Gavla $6.998949 Kirop $6.998952 Mutran and Vican $14.998954 Mazeka $29.998011 Jango Fett (Technic) $30Throwbots (aka Slizers) and Roboriders 8501 Ski $68505 Amazon $68520 Millennium Slizer $208521 Flare $68510 Lava $68513 Dust $6Now, since we live in a world of “Pics or it didn’t happen”:The entire Bionicle lot.(Larger picture)Parts and assembled models.More assembled models.Kanohi, tools, and misc.As you’ve probably guessed, the chair, mosquito netting, and plastic drawers are all for photoshooting purposes only, they are not for sale. I will bag the Kanohi separately to afford them more protection, particularly the Trans-green Mirus and Pakari.Based on suggested retail prices, with some leniency for sales tax, the grand total for the above sets comes to approximately $520. Keep in mind that these are the sets for which I could easily verify ownership; there may be sets which remain uncounted. I also recall purchasing duplicates of several sets for extra parts during my MOCing days. Please keep in mind, however, that these sets are being sold in bulk parts. This means that I am not selling individual sets, the pieces are mixed, the parts to the listed sets will be in there somewhere, but they may be combined with other pieces, part of a mostly-assembled set or MOC, or just floating around loosely in the jumble of bricks. Unfortunately, I also do not have canisters/packaging or instructions for the sets.In terms of condition, the only problems I've noted are some cracked-yet-functional ball joints from the brittle plastic fiasco of the Mahri/Karda Nui era. That being said, I still make no guarantees concerning the condition of all parts, in case of catastrophic bubble wrap failure, breaks or scratches may occur during transit. In any case however, my price is as follows:I'm asking for $400 for the total, 20 lb. bulk shipment of Bionicle and Technic. Shipping and handling is included in the price, and I will be using Priority Mail Flat Rate Boxes to ship the parts. It is worth noting that if I am unable to sell the entire package, I am willing to break the batch into 3 bulk shipments for $150 each. Please be aware, though, these shipments would simply be an equal division of the lot, the parts for the listed sets will most likely end up divided amongst the three. Obviously, I would like to sell the lot as one deal, hence the $50 discount for the combined deal.I've also been collecting regular Lego system sets ever since Bionicle was just a cluster of neurons in Greg Farshtey's brain. I wouldn't know where to begin if I chose to take an inventory of my System sets, but I would estimate that it contains roughly 200 sets from the years between 1996 to 2006.The collection contains dozens of smaller, cheaper sets from various lines, as well as larger kits from product lines such as: Adventurers (Johnny Thunder - 1998, 1999, and 2003)Knight's Kingdom (2000)Life on Mars (2001)Alpha Team Mission Deep Freeze (2004)Dino Attack (2005)Exo-Force (2006)Again, pictures:The entire collection, excluding minifigures.(Larger version)Baseplates and basic bricks.Bulky and oddly-shaped parts. (And a dinosaur!)More basic parts.Ditto.Ditto once again.Painted plates, translucent parts, and rubber bands and fabric parts. My minifigure collection: Two drawers of figures, one drawer of tools and accessories.(Larger picture)As mentioned, trying to inventory and divide the individual sets would be veritable torture, so I'm selling the pieces as a bulk collection. The vast majority of the pieces are in good condition, with the exceptions of the occasional crack or discoloration. Some of the features on the older minifigures are beginning to fade as well. The asking price for all 45 lbs. of the system collection is $550. If necessary, I'm also willing to divide the collection into five smaller lots of bricks for $125 each, and the minifigures for $50, though again, I would prefer to sell as much of the collection at once as possible.Incidentally, if anyone is interested, I have assorted DVDs, CDs, and computer games available: All seven seasons of MacGyver $5 each or $30 for the entire set.Lost, seasons one through four $5 each or $15 for the entire set.Stargate Atlantis, season five $5Star Trek Fan Collective: Borg and Alternate Realities, Star Trek: Nemesis, Stargate: The Ark of Truth and Continuum. $10 for the entire set.Games Sold! Lego Island (The first game in the series, comes with original comic book/game guide.) $5Lego Creator $1Lego Racers 2 $1Legoland $1Lego Chess $1Lego Alpha Team $1Star Wars: Battlefront II $3Star Wars: Empire at War Gold Pack $5Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II, The Sith Lords $3Bionicle Heroes $3Please note, all of the Lego games listed are several years old, most are designed to run on Windows 95, 98, etc. Bionicle Heroes is also notorious for refusing to run on any OS higher than XP.If anyone is interested, I’d be willing to sell all of the Lego games and Bionicle Heroes together for $10, or the entire lot of games for $15.CDs Sold! $1 each $12 for the whole collection The Afters: I Wish We All Could WinFamily Force 5: Dance or DieHawk Nelson: Smile, It's the End of the WorldKutless: Hearts of the InnocentPillar: Broken Down: The EPPillar: Where Do We Go from Here Limited Edition with DVDRelient K: MmhmmSanctus Real: Say it LoudSanctus Real: Fight the TideSanctus Real: The Face of LoveSkillet: AwakeSkillet: Comatose Deluxe EditionSkillet: Comatose Come Alive with DVDTobyMac: Alive and Transported with DVDThousand Foot Krutch: The Art of BreakingTree 63: The Answer to the QuestionThe Essential "Weird Al" YankovicI’d also be willing to sell the whole lot of DVDs, games, and CDs for $65.I would ask that if you are interested in the DVDs or CDs, please consider buying several, if not the whole group. I’m trying to get rid of as much as I can as quickly as possible, so I’m much more likely to accept a deal for several DVDs or CDs rather than one or two. I can provide pictures if necessary. In any case, those are the products which I have for sale. To summarize:$400 for Bionicle and Technic.$550 for System.$65 for all CDs, games, and DVDs.Paypal is greatly preferred as a method of payment due to quicker transactions. Prices are negotiable, within reason, of course. As mentioned, I’ll be shipping everything in flat rate priority mail boxes in bubble wrap and ziploc bags. Shipping is included in all prices.Again, I have a two week period before I move out; therefore, I’m going to be much more eager to accept a deal for a large amount of parts than a smaller one. Also, if anyone was to show an interest in buying either both bulk lots of bricks, or even better, every single thing I’ve listed in this topic, you would officially become my favorite person in the world for at least a week, and I will gladly arrange a very, very handsome discount.I'm happy to answer any questions you may have, though I am often running around like the proverbial headless chicken during the day, and may take a few hours to respond. I'm also happy to provide any other pictures if desired. In any case, I hope that I will be able to reach a deal with any one of you. Remember, you’re not only buying bricks for yourself, you’re saving those bricks from a gristly fate at the thrift store.Happy shopping!~Necricorn

  20. Happy B-day Turakii! I would mention something that you're old enough to do now, but the only one I can think of that hasn't been mentioned is joining the military without needing a parental consent form. =p Hope you have a great one! ~Axinian
  21. I'm definitely going to do NaNoWriMo this year! I've done it for the past two years, but only reached 50,000 words last year. My username is Axinian the Chronicler. I'm planning on a Bionicle fan fiction which I'll eventually be able to split into a pair of epics to post here on Bzp. It really is a lot of fun, and a great experience.
