  1. IC: Onaku - Kini-Nui Onaku gazed into the tear in reality for a brief moment longer, before sighing and closing his eyes while shaking his head. "No, no one in particular..." Finally, opening them again, his eyes drawn once again into the portal, the once-toa's expression turned resolute as he stepped forth into it. @Unreliable Narrator
  2. IC: Onaku - Kini-Nui Onaku grimaced, looking the portal over. "If I go in there... could I find others who went in before me? Bring them back home?" @Unreliable Narrator
  3. IC: Onaku - Kini-Nui Onaku frowned. "How many have come back?" @Unreliable Narrator
  4. IC: Onaku - Kini-Nui Onaku sighed, a hint of an amused grin coming to his features. "God speed, then." At hearing Nuju's words, he turned to him with a thoughtful expression, glancing into the portal at his side with a furrowed brow before looking back to Nuju. "How many people have gone in there?" @Unreliable Narrator@Gecko Greavesy IC: Okuo - Ko-Pou Radio Shack Okuo looked up at Vashni, feeling her anger wash over him and understanding it well. "You won't have to go it alone. Maybe we can even convince Knichou to give us a lift up there if he's in the mood." Standing up from the radio and heading outside, Okuo wrapped the scarf tighter around himself as he approached the landed airship. @Snelly@BULiK@Tarn
  5. IC: Onaku - Kini-Nui Onaku's expression shifted from friendliness to exasperation at hearing Sidra's words. "Don't tell me you're going to try and kill Stannis? Do you even know how many have tried and failed in the past? Notably followed by paying with their own lives for having the gall? Now, I'm not going to stop you, goodness knows I can't, but know that facing him with lethal intent is a dangerous road... And I strongly recommend you do not presume yourself the greatest to ever tread it." @Gecko Greavesy@Unreliable Narrator
  6. Is an avalanche from the displacement of structures from the Relic Fields to the mountainside of the Kini-Nui valley a reasonable consequence? Or at the very least some other loud noise that would travel through the valley easily?
  7. IC: Onaku - Kini-Nui Onaku nodded. "I suppose that's the most logical course of action." Letting out thoughtful sigh, he turned to the strange ripple in the fabric of reality which Nuju stood next to, stepping closer to it and regarding it with fascination, looking it over. "In any case, I wish you good luck in your search for Toa Stannis." Turning around again, he looked Sidra over, a thoughtful expression on his features that turned friendly soon after. "If you don't mind indulging me, if and when you do find him, perhaps you could tell him that... Arkius wishes to see him again some time soon. Though, of course, you're not my messenger, so do what you will. Either way, be careful. I've known him longer than most as far as I'm aware, and yet I'm starting to think I barely really know him at all. I regret any advice I could give you is probably meaningless." @Gecko Greavesy@Unreliable Narrator
  8. IC: Onaku - Kini-Nui Onaku stroked his chin. "I wish I knew where Stannis was, but I'm afraid I'm useless to you in that regard. As for everyone else, the population of Kini-Koro has been evacuated to Todbuk-Koro on the other side of the portal. Repeat monster attacks have made it clear the valley settlement isn't safe enough." Onaku crossed his arms and shook his head with a sigh. "It's a bloody killbox is what it is. At least the evacuation has fortuitous timing." He said, looking over his shoulder to the disappearing mountains. @Gecko Greavesy@Unreliable Narrator IC: Okuo - Ko-Pou Radio Shack Okuo looked up as Triage and Vashni entered the shack. "Taku's on its way. As for Ehlek, apparently he's up in the Aqua Sphere experimenting on matoran..." Okuo had a thoughtful look to him as he mulled this over for a second, before he hit transmit again. "But Xaril, why would you tell us about this?" @Gecko Greavesy@Tarn@Snelly
  9. IC: Onaku - Kini-Nui Onaku nodded. "If these Makoki Stones are the key to fixing the situation we're in..." He looked to where the mountains were suddenly gone to reveal the ocean beyond, worry on his features, before he turned back to the conversation. "Then we should make it our first priority to find the rest of them and assemble them as quickly as possible. You say Stannis emerged from this portal with one, right? Could there be any more in there?" @Gecko Greavesy@Unreliable Narrator
  10. IC: Onaku - Kini-Nui Onaku scratched his chin in thought. "Mazor... Irna... I'm afraid I'm not familiar with either of those names. You?" He asked, turning to Sidra. @Gecko Greavesy@Unreliable Narrator
  11. IC: Onaku - Kini-Nui Onaku approached the two beings standing near the portal, his hands raised up before his shoulders in a placating gesture. "I didn't come here to drop any eaves, though what I've overheard is starting to match some newfound suspicions I'm having about the old wizard. Were I able, I'd want to help find Stannis myself and question him as to his intentions with these stones, but my current lack of powers means I'd probably be little more than a burden. But these stones you speak of, they come from beyond that p-?" Onaku's question was cut off, his finger raised to gesture the portal before his attention was quickly pulled to the object in Sidra's hand upon Nuju pointing it out. "... Has that thing ever behaved like this before?" @Gecko Greavesy@Unreliable Narrator@Sparticus147
  12. IC: Okuo - Ko-Pou Radio Shack "Ko-Pou outpost still intact for now, but landmass surrounding Ice ruins is cut off from mainland. Advise caution, outpost needs to be evacuated ASAP. Over."
  13. IC: Okuo - Ko-Pou Radio Shack "Wh- Ehlek? On the Aque Sphere?? Seeking Matoran test subjects???" The panic rose in Okuo's tone with each sentence as he took all of this in and processed it. A moment later, a familiar voice chimed in on the frequency from the Taku, distracting him momentarily from the dreadful revelation. "Ko-Pou here, yes, we read you Taku. Over." @BULiK@Toru Nui@Gecko Greavesy
  14. In Kini-Nui, how far is the Amaja Circle from the Far Shore portal?
  15. IC: Okuo - Ko-Pou Radio Shack "Yes, we... did notice. Ko-Pou has been cut off from the mainland, we'll have to evacuate through the Ice Ruin portal to Kini-Koro for the time being. You mention the Aqua Sphere, can it be assumed a reliable method of relocation to it been discovered? Over." @Toru Nui
  16. IC: Arkius - Ascending Up. With grit and determination, that was where he'd ferried himself. With sterile clay mixtures soothing his extensive burns, and firm earthen casts keeping his mechanical components aligned, he was slowly recovering enough to continue his journey with a clear mind, though worrying were his depleting reserves of elemental energy. Even still, his greater overall reserves had made possible what before would have been impossible, a saving grace to allow him escape. Yet still he could feel the Mesi, still in pursuit, still hounding him. Of course, they did not know which shard he was within, but that wouldn't help once he was on the surface. Sooner than he'd expected, the Onu-Toa breached through the earthen boundary, earthen chunks floating into the surface air as his shard and a handful of others ascended. In the immediate area surrounding the emerging shards, sand began to gently pick up into the air and whirl around. @Eyru
  17. IC: Okuo - Ko-Pou Okuo sighed, gazing out at the ocean surrounding them, nodding, before turning to Kardaka. "We're going to have to evacuate, yes. I need to go answer the radio, can you notify everyone? I'll be along shortly to help out." Quickly, he headed to the radio shack. shivering as he felt the cold he'd momentarily forgotten leave his body. Sitting down at the radio, he pushed the button to begin transmitting. "This is Ko-Pou. Over." @Harvali@Toru Nui
  18. IC: Onaku - Kini-Koro With the rain washing away the poison on Jutori and Kat, Onaku was more readily able to help carry them where they could be tended to. "Alright, I'm going to go help with the evacuation. You two try to regain your strength, alright?" He said, addressing Jutori and Kat. With that, he was off, heading back into the village to see what he could help with, discovering most people had already left through the portal to the Ruins of Stone, and beyond that Todbuk-Koro. "But then... who's left?" Onaku asked, turning and looking down the valley to the Kini-Nui temple structure. "Anyone down there?" A nearby guard nodded in response. "There's some guards there at all times to prevent unauthorized traffic, but beyond that I think Sergeant Bronk went down there as well." Onaku stroked his chin. "Alright, I'll go down there and notify them of the evacuation." Once more he was off, headed down the road from Kini-Koro to the temple in the middle of the valley, across the bridge connecting the surrounding valley to the temple island on the lake. Meeting with the guards there, he notified them of the situation, before heading further across to the temple itself, where he scaled the steps to the temple proper. He looked around, seeing the strange sight of a portal as well as a ghostly matoran floating next to it, conversing with a being clad in green and gold iridescent armour. Nearby, there was strange circle with stones around it, one of which was placed in the sand in the middle, a stout looking matoran of earth standing next to it. "Excuse me, are you Sergeant Bronk? I'm here to let you know that the village of Kini-Koro is being evacuated." @Sparticus147@Gecko Greavesy@Unreliable Narrator
  19. IC: Okuo - Ko-Pou Shelter Okuo felt the colour drain from his features at hearing Kardaka's words, clutching his head exasperatedly as it compounded on his concealed frustration at Nixie's stubbornness. At Kardaka mentioning a sound, a voice, Okuo noticed the low, static-y voice coming from Triage's radio. "Someone's radioing Ko-Pou? Hold on, I'll go check the radio shack. Just... nobody do anything rash, ok?" The Ta-Toa walked outside, shivering at the cold and wrapping his scarf around himself tight again as he began making his way to the radio shack. The radio was connected to the radio tower that had been built on the Ice Ruins for altitude. On the way there, how ever, Okuo could tell something was off. Like Kardaka had said, the ocean did seem to be closer, the full effect of this coming into focus as he turned to look further inland, only to see more ocean separating the settlement from the rest of the island. "Oh for the love of-" IC: Iradra - Ko-Pou Shelter A large towering being, three crimson eyes shining out from a charred skull as crimson wings sprouted from its back. A toa missing his arm, bleeding out while covered in ashes, propped against a tree in a forest on fire. A green creature drowning in their own breathing equipment, twisted and transformed through a newly familiar power. Iradra recalled these things and could immediately recognise these memories as not her own, yet they felt like things she'd experienced none the less. An odd residual effect of the Kaita fusion, no doubt. It had been... strange. Like her being had receded from reality and been replaced by something from beyond their perception that had always been waiting at the fringes of their existence. "Triage... Vashni..." She turned to look at the two other toa, a meaningful look to her eyes as she beheld the two she had moments before been one and the same with. Not finding words to convey what she was feeling, she simply nodded to them in solidarity. @Toru Nui@Harvali@Vezok's Friend@Tarn@Snelly
  20. IC: Okuo - Ko-Pou Shelter Okuo furrowed his brow, looking unconvinced. "I don't think that's a good idea right now. The cure may not be complete but it seems like it's brought you back to your original states for the moment. Depending on how long that'll last, I feel like it's safer if you take some time to recover before heading off on any kind of errand, which I would prefer to accompany you for anyway in case you encounter something dangerous out there. Right now I have business in Kini-Koro with Knichou, he requested the presence of me and Triage a while ago and we're very late for it. When we get back, we can go look for the pure stuff... alright?" He asked, his tone reasoning and his expression pleading. @Toru Nui@Harvali@Vezok's Friend@Tarn@Snelly
  21. IC: Whakamahu - Ko-Pou Shelter "Energized Protodermis. One of the only transformations the Mask of Mutation cannot undo on its own." Whakamahu looked into the minds of the matoran, not to pry, but to see if she could soothe their yet addled minds and facilitate smoother cognition by helping them untangle and reorient their thoughts. @Toru Nui@Harvali@Vezok's Friend@Tarn@Snelly
  22. IC: Okuo - Ko-Pou Shelter Mulling over Kardaka's words and reassurances in regards to a future as a Turaka, Okuo paused for a moment with a thoughtful expression, before then nodding to her question concerning his familiarity with the matoran. "Yes, I was... well acquainted with Nixie and Vhisola before the affliction." @Toru Nui@Harvali@Vezok's Friend@Tarn@Snelly
  23. IC: Okuo - Ko-Pou Shelter Okuo shook his head. "Maybe if I was just using it alone... but if I can use it in tandem with the Kaita, channel my power through them so they may direct it with purpose and precision... perhaps it could work? I don't know. I think it's worth the risk..." The Ta-Toa sighed, looking down with a thoughtful yet troubled expression, it being clear that this wasn't the only thing on his mind. "... It's not like I asked to be a Toa to begin with." @Toru Nui@Harvali@Vezok's Friend@Tarn@Snelly
  24. IC: Onaku - Kini-Koro "Oh... oh no. Not you too!" Onaku arrived at the scene to find Jutori and Katrin affected by the poison, a panicked grimace on his features. Hurrying to Jutori's side, he grabbed him and tried to help him up, all the while careful not to touch the substance. "Come on, no no, come on, stay with me here bud! Fight it!" @Tarn@The UltimoScorp
  25. IC: Whakamahu - Ko-Pou shelter The Kaita looked upon the matoran, their forms restored though their ailment lingering, with an expression difficult to read. Looking closely enough, one might recognise relief, though it seemed to be mixed with a hint of grief and disappointment. "Your forms have been restored... for now. But it is not complete. The ailment still lingers residually, no doubt you can feel it deep down. We had hoped I would be enough, but it seems this is just beyond my power to fully resolve..." IC: Okuo - Ko-Pou Shelter A look of relief washed over Okuo's features as he saw the afflicted, especially so his two friends, restored to their previous forms, all of them seeming able to speak and think as they used to. This relief was replaced by concern, how ever, as the Kaita spoke their words, lamenting it wasn't a complete cure. The Ta-Toa wracked his brain. What else would be enough if not this? A thought returned to him that he had previously dismissed as far too risky at the start of all this. In the legends of great Toa he'd heard once when younger, there were tales of the heroes sacrificing their great power to set right some grievous wrong that had been inflicted upon the innocent. Giving up their Toa forms to help those that needed it. "... What if we use my Toa Energy?" @Tarn@Snelly@Harvali@Toru Nui@Vezok's Friend
