  1. IC: Iradra - The Coliseum The right-most Iradra was upon the Nullifier, and proceeded to swinging her hardlight coated sword at its head. The center-most and left-most Iradras had meanwhile turned to face the newcomer, both raising their swords to block, before the left-most pointed her sword and fired her hardlight projectile at the Vahki's head. Before it could impact, however, it shifted in form to one that would envelop the Vahki's head, whereupon it would grab and yank it in the direction of the Nullifier on a collision course. @Eyru@Toru Nui@Nato the Traveler
  2. IC: Arkius - Ruins of Stone Arkius nodded. "Ally Kilo raises a good point. Administrator, can this portal be closed and reopened at our behest? And can it likewise be closed and reopened from the other side?" He then turned to face Collector and looked at him with an expression diffcult to decipher. "Indeed, you and the Vahki should stay here, along with most everyone else. There won't be more than two other toa to accompany me and Kilo to the Earth counterpart to this place. So long as we are quick about it, the people of this village should be safe in the care of those who remain behind to guard it. That is why the counterpart east of the volcano has to wait. I dare not spare more than four from among us to seek out these temples. This village's safety is in my highest priorities, rest assured of that, Vortixx." @Unreliable Narrator@Harvali@Tarn@Snelly@Toru Nui
  3. IC: Iradra - The Coliseum The left-most Iradra raised her sword and a wide hardlight barrier formed around its blade, blocking the staff blast. The central one raised her sword and likewise formed a hardlight barrier around her blade, the barrier cracking slightly upon the disk's impact but nonetheless deflecting it to clatter to the floor. The right-most Iradra too formed a barrier around her sword's blade, and upon not having to block anything, pointed her sword, along with the blade-like barrier, at the Vahki, before the barrier shot forth like a projectile. She then proceeded to advancing on the Vahki again, the two other Iradras advancing alongside her, another hardlight barrier forming along the edge of her sword. @Eyru@Nato the Traveler@Toru Nui
  4. IC: Iradra - The Coliseum Quick back on her feet after impacting the drywall, Iradra saw the Nullifier charging a disk and realised the time for negotiation was well and truly over, now that the Vahki had targeted her. Lifting her hand, she willed into being a wall of solidified light between Zaliyah and the Vahki, in the nick of time to prevent the blast from its staff reaching her. Next Iradra drew her greatsword, and began to approach the mechanical enforcer, her bronze mask backlit by the faint white glow of her Mahiki as she separated into three different Iradras who each advanced on the Vahki from different angles. @Eyru@Nato the Traveler@Toru Nui
  5. IC: Arkius - Ruins of Stone "East of the volcano? That's on the other side of the island. We can't afford weakening this village's defenses any further. That temple will have to wait." @Toru Nui@pokemonlover360@Tarn@Snelly@Harvali
  6. IC: Arkius - Ruins of Stone "Don't be foolish, Vortixx, obviously we are not abandoning these people as too many have before. This task will undertaken by a group of no more than four individuals. I, with my powers, and Kilo, should they prove capable of calculating this place's Earthen equivalent as I have faith they can, will guide two other Toa; Jutori and Vashni, through the underground to reach said temple. There are at least two other candidates outside, both who may qualify for this journey should either wish to remain behind, but we should head out immediately so as to not leave this village's defenses diminished for too long." @pokemonlover360@Snelly@Tarn@Harvali
  7. IC: Arkius - Ruins of Stone Finally, seeing Atamai emerge, and then abscond a moment later through the portal, Arkius sighed and stood up fully, towering over most everyone present. "He has his own path to follow now. We who are left have a different task on our hands." The tone with which he spoke was distinct and unlike the way anyone remembered him having spoken before. More refined, self assured, and just slightly deeper to top it off. He turned and looked at Kilo, an uncharacteristic glint of cold intelligence behind his white-green eye. "According to what I was told of this temple's discovery, it was located through cross-referencing the equivalent shape of this island with the shape of Metru-Nui, and comparing the coordinates of the Great Disk in Po-Metru with the equivalent geographical coordinates on this island. Kilo, surely the same be done with the coordinates of the Great Disk in Onu-Metru, correct?" @pokemonlover360@Tarn@Harvali
  8. IC: Iradra - The Coliseum "Right, I- Uh..." Before she could even begin to really respond, Iradra found herself interrupted by Ostrox's distraction. Though she gave no indication of it, she was in truth grateful fot it. @Toru Nui@Eyru
  9. IC: Iradra - The Coliseum Iradra nodded. Her eyes returned to the bronze mask, lingering there for a moment, before she sighed and picked it up again, placing it on her head again. Concealing as it was, it provided protection, which she was probably going to need for what came next... whatever that would be. She prepared herself to do whatever she'd have to in response. @Nato the Traveler
  10. IC: Iradra - The Coliseum Iradra stayed silent for a moment, nodding. What Zaliah said was true, this much she knew. But she also knew that Aurax couldn't be allowed to remain in power. "I don't know if peace is an option if you don't succeed... but you're right. I cannot fight by your side in this. But... I can still be there, as a witness. And if worse comes to worst... I can try to ensure your survival, if nothing else." She sighed, turning away from the Hordika and looking out the window at the city below. "You know, I never intended for this. To be a Toa. To represent the people of Metru-Nui in this dichotomy that tore our world apart... Truthfully I'm not sure I even belong with them. The only reason they have accepted me now is because of my transformation. Perhaps... if they knew what I was..." Iradra brought her hands to the bronze facade covering her face, lingering there as though hesitating for a moment, before slowly she pulled it off along with the cloth hood attached to it, placing it all on the windowsill. "What I am..." Underneath was a light grey Mahiki, though its surfaces were mangled and scarred. Zaliyah might have heard of this before, a disease that dismantled an entire village and scattered a handful of survivors into the world, where Matoran society had entirely rejected them, fearing that they could spread their disease to others. Her scars seemed healed, but still they left her mangled and mutilated. Her white eyes lingered on the bronze mask and hood for a moment, before finally she returned her gaze to the Hordika, looking at her from behind a scarred and battered mask. "Perhaps they would reject me too." @Nato the Traveler
  11. IC: Iradra - The Coliseum "Perhaps you could elaborate... though perhaps not here." @Nato the Traveler
  12. IC: Iradra - The Coliseum Iradra followed her, keeping close enough to keep her voice low for only Zaliyah to hear. "I will help you." @Nato the Traveler
  13. IC: Iradra - The Coliseum Having remained silent for the most part in the presence of the Vahki, she saw now that it was her final and only chance to speak before things got into motion. "Zaliyah... Can I speak with you? In private?" She said quietly for the Hordika alone to hear. @Nato the Traveler
  14. IC: Okuo - Metru-Koro "I'm... not sure... she doesn't seem to regard me as a threat any more at least. Just... give me a moment longer." Okuo dipped a hand into his pocket. A small unopened packet of rations, jerky. He opened it up and retrieved a piece of jerky and lifted it up, before gently placing it on the ground between him and the allegedly former Nixie, before returning to his sitting position and watching for what she would do. @Vezok's Friend IC: Ardoku - Todbuk-Koro I looked up as the red Toa and the other beings left to go fight, if I understood correctly. I was unsure what to think of this at the time, having only memories of fighting as a last resort when cornered, but despite this the concept didn't seem too strange. It made sense, to fight for the sake of fighting, if you were honing your skill. No doubt I'd done some of that myself in the time lost to me, seeing as how I'd known... no, felt exactly how I was supposed to use the sword when I was forced to use it. I quickly returned back to the present, still kneeling next to the matoran who was apparently in charge of the village. A job he didn't seem ready for. "Hey... how about a break? When's the last time you took a break and just relaxed?" @Harvali
  15. Do Nuva and Nuva Proxima transformed variants count the same as non-transformed variants of a Breed when fusing? As in can transformed and non-transformed individuals form a Kaita together? @Unreliable Narrator@Vezok's Friend@Eyru
  16. So I tried searching this topic and didn't find an answer, but for whom would it be reasonable to know how to form a Kaita fusion? @Unreliable Narrator@Vezok's Friend@Eyru
  17. Name: Toa Arkius NUVA Proxima Breed: Toa of Earth (NUVA Proxima) Faction: Metru-Nui Refugees Brief Description: Arkius is immensely large and muscular compared to other Toa. Where at first he was clad near entirely in black, he later wore a beaten metallic grey chest plate and pauldrons over his dark grey and black form, with occasional glowing green accents that matched his singular remaining eye. He wore a black Calix with one eyehole patched over that hid the silvery scar tissue where his right eye once was. With his NUVA Proxima transformation, the Calix has fused to his face, and the metallic grey armour he wore has taken on a refined silver look. The green glow his eye and armour accents had have taken on a brighter, washed out emerald hue, with specks of what looks to be white embers trailing from the corner of his singular eye. Beyond even his previously immense stature, Arkius has now grown yet more in size, towering completely over the average Toa. With his mind completely unlocked, Arkius finds his psyche dominated by memories of a past from before his first memories of the Ark. Though memories of his life on the Ark and on “Zakaz” remain, he is effectively a new man, with his old identity hidden away underneath one manifested through his memories being revealed. Background/Occupation: Once awakening in a far away land, Arkius rose to become a prominent Toa protector. When the Legion began its conquest, Arkius stood opposed to them, eventually finding his way to Metru-Nui where he intended to provide the last line of defense against the encroaching Barraki horde. There he became entangled in a strange plot, whisked off his feet by Toa Stannis and his crew as they tried to figure out Turaga Dume's true intentions. But when the Barraki very suddenly teleported into the underground of Ko-Metru to invade the city, Arkius had to leave the crew behind, travelling to Onu-Metru with Toa Nale and the Krahli designated "Kilo" to protect the matoran, or avenge them otherwise. In the end, the latter proved to be his true calling, where with Kilo he rained vengeance upon Mantax's men in the Archives, and battled the warlord before his eventual demise by the hands of his Krahli companion. After this, he emerged to a world tearing itself apart, and with his compatriots emerged on the so-called "Zakaz" to build a new and peaceful life after the Cataclysm. Unfortunately, peace turned out to never have been an option. In this new land, aggressive and vile Skakdi revealed themselves to be the native flock, a people Arkius had never been fully comfortable with, but which here, as the Skakdi-Xa, proved to be even worse still. Arkius resolved to protect the Matoran at any cost... even if it meant the eradication of these vile Skakdi-Xa down to the very last. Calling off a planned counter-attack on the Skakdi in favour of heeding Po-Koro’s call for aid, Arkius returned to Po-Koro in the aftermath of a Skakdi raid, where he remained to protect it as others flew to Metru-Koro on other business. Though he tried to help reestablish Po-Koro’s defenses in that time, the heavy rainfall in the shadow of a great Tahtorak proved it to be in vain, and after helping rescue villagers caught in the flood, he and the villagers relocated to the Ruins of Stone to establish a new village. Following old companions inside, he found himself exposed to the golden energies of the NUVA boon, unlocking his NUVA Proxima form and granting him greater stature, as well as returning the memories of his life before he awoke on the Ark, and with them the Arkius he’d forgotten he was. Flaws: With a new personality made manifest, Arkius has taken to different flaws. Arrogant, Arkius believes himself to know best, and is slow to consider opinions that differ from his. Wrathful, Arkius carries a great turmoil of rage inside him as a result of repeat tragedy and betrayal, rage he sees little reason to keep in check. Prideful, Arkius sees himself as the peak of Toa potential, and sees Toa as inherently superior to all other species, responding wrathfully to anything that might disprove this notion. Arkius has lost his right eye, meaning without his earth sense he is without depth perception, as well as a reduced field of view to his right. Additionally, he possesses no ranged weaponry, relying on his trusty axe above all else mixed with his control of elemental earth, preferring to get in close and personal with those he seeks to fell, meaning that those able to stay at distance form him hold an advantage over him, especially so if his elemental earth is disabled or proves ineffective. Powers/Equipment: Arkius possesses elemental powers of Earth, powers which he has trained with extensively, and which have now grown immensely in scope following his NUVA Proxima transformation. With said transformation he has also gained the ability to share his elemental power with two other beings in his line of sight and elemental range. Additionally, he has a strong physique, and an immense well of stamina. His already great strength has grown greater following his transformation. He wore the Kanohi Calix that has now fused to his face and become part of him, allowing him to perform at the absolute peak of his natural physical abilities (such as executing seemingly impossible leaps, dodges, flips, etc.) so that he moves and reacts better than any unenhanced member of his species. He can share this power with two other beings in his line of sight and elemental range. As far as his equipment goes, Arkius wields only his trusty protosteel axe, a weapon he has felled many a foe with and wields with great pride, greater skill... and deadly intent. With an axe blade on one end of the head and a long bladed spike on the other, the weapon is suited for chopping enemies or piercing through tough armour.
  18. IC: Ardoku - Todbuk-Koro Something didn't seem right. This matoran didn't seem ready for the level of responsibility he seemed to believe he had, despite the way he corrected himself. "I apologise, I don't know much of anything about our shared culture, you must understand that I only have memories stretching as far back as yesterday. Why is it that you speak as if the burden of making that decision rests on your shoulders alone, and utter the word 'we' only in correction?" @Harvali
  19. IC: Okuo - Metru-Koro Okuo frowned internally. If he couldn't communicate with her using his mask, then he had to rely on gesture and body language alone. "I'm really not cut out for this..." He muttered to himself. For a brief moment, he thought about what the best thing to do here would be, before he slowly sat down where he'd stood, watching for her reaction and hoping this wouldn't garner a hostile response. @Vezok's Friend IC: Iradra - Metru-Koro outskirts Iradra simply nodded in response and continued walking with them. @Toru Nui@Nato the Traveler
  20. IC: Iradra - Metru-Koro outskirts "I... understand." She responded. "Though I hope we can avoid further bloodshed." @Nato the Traveler@Toru Nui
  21. IC: Iradra - Metru-Koro outskirts "I agreed before that I would come to Metru-Nui to help ensure peace." Iradra turned to look Ostrox's way, her expression as always hidden underneath the bronze facade. The way she spoke was calm and matter of fact. "I intend to uphold that agreement." @Toru Nui@Nato the Traveler
  22. IC: Iradra - Metru-Koro outskirts Iradra silently followed along with Zaliyah and Ostrox. @Nato the Traveler@Toru Nui
  23. IC: Ardoku - Todbuk-Koro I found myself unsure about anything going on at that moment dealing with familiar and unfamiliar beings alike, none of whom I could recall any real memories of. But even in my confused state, I could recognise something about the matoran who'd approached me and the red toa moments earlier. I wasn't sure how I knew, but as I looked upon him and the strange movements he was doing, upon the expression on his face, I recognised something was troubling him. Kneeling down, I placed a hand upon his shoulder in what I felt would be a reassuring gesture and looked him in the eyes. "Hey, are you alright?" @Harvali
  24. IC: Zadred - Todbuk-Koro "I am aware, but... this place is vast. Far bigger than Zakaz by a vast margin. There's large stretches of land untouched by weapons and warfare, areas that could be settled, that could be lived in." @Nato the Traveler@Toru Nui
