Okay. I get quitting during the match, when everyone and their brother is owning you.

... But ragequitting at the start of a match, forcing everyone else to relocate? That's just not right. xP That just happened to me; got in not 3 or 4 seconds; and the host quit on me.

/EDIT: Also; I officially hate snipers. They make things much harder than they have to be, when they're killing you every time you try to cross to the other side. >_>
  2. Blessed Blade
I have it. And I'm playing it. And it is awesome.

That is pretty much it. =P

I haven't even touched Single Player yet; I went, as I said I would to Ddude, straight to multiplayer. Practiced a bit offline, and then went onto Wi-FI to get owned. =P
  3. Blessed Blade
Hmm. I need to make a Gaming category in the future, I see.

Anyway... Looks like I can rent Goldeneye 007 for the Wii.

So. You know what that means? I'll be renting Goldeneye 007.

It's not in yet, but as soon as it gets in, I'm so getting it.
  4. Blessed Blade
So; I hooked it up so I could get a little Goldeneye practice in of some sorts(Mostly with the N64 controller; if you can get used to that, you can get used to just about anything =P). I did fairly well, considering I was facing myself.

However... This is the first time I actually used the N64 on this TV, since I moved everything around. And it's like playing in Widescreen. And not the good way. ._.; It's definitely not like playing on my old TV, I'll say that much. =P And it took me a little while to get used to the screen, since a) I haven't played it since last year, and B) the screen's stretched, or pushed together or something.

It was simply just weird. xP

This is dedicated to the GTS. Ah, the GTS, and your extremely weird trades. Where seeing a Dialga getting traded for a Bidoof is a normal day. You have fair trades at times; but they get traded so quickly most people don't know about it.

Now why couldn't you have fixed it this time, or at least added more options to search? I mean, the Negotiation feature is fine(Even if I haven't tried it just yet); but that doesn't mean you should just ignore the normal part of it. And since Gen 5 is locked off from Gen 4 in terms of trades; there's no excuse for having it be the exact same as before.

I must say; however; it is a very good thing they left out the 'trade time lockout' thing from searching this time. Where you had to trade like 100 things in two minutes to access the full listings of trades. Now all 7 or under are available from the start.

Also, it's funny... Trades like version exclusive trades are traded with the snap of a finger. But a male Oshawott for a Female Tepig or Snivy(I tried both); stay pending for hours. I don't have time to breed yet, since I haven't got any hatching helpers yet(Waiting on Flame Body Pokemon... Still waiting...), but people assume that others can get Female Starters with the snap of a finger apparently. ... Granted, I'm doing the same, but...

    Side Notes:
1: I used your suggestion, Nero. xP
2: Thank you Black, for having this trade built into the game. This is the reason I actually went with Black, because the rest of the version exclusives I really wanted were in White. =P
    3: ... 0_o Gonzo's in Firefox's dictionary? Wow. =P
  6. Blessed Blade
Okay, this is more in general than anything.

So, with a new generation, comes a ton of new HM changes, as normal. Three are made normal, and a few make some returns.

But as with Generation 3; you cannot transfer Pokemon with HM Moves.

My question? Why? Surely, Nintendo, with your fancy powers, and your fancy abilities to remove stuff most fans like(Vs Seeker anyone?), as well as add awesome new stuff at the same time; you can actually remove that limitation, and not allow people to somehow obtain a Surf/Flying Pikachu every single generation; and not make people suffer through the slowness of deleting moves in Generation 4, before transferring the Pokemon to Generation 5.

And exactly why is it needed anyhow? It's not like the item removal, which was likely simply to prevent people from getting crafty with sending up obsolete TMs, as both the coding for what it teaches and the actual coding for the TMs was changed. No; the moves still exist. And the HGSS/DPPt dilemma shows that they can easily shift the HM Block flags between games, which they have, Defog, Rock Smash, and Whirlpool are able to be deleted at will. So why do we need to delete the moves before sending them up? >_> It can't be because of the ingame reason(Which has also been obsolete for the past few Generations, ever since you couldn't store the HMs in the PC) of getting stuck; if you have access to put Pokemon in the PC; you have access to the HMs and can easily teach a Pokemon new moves. And if it's because the HMs no longer exist; then exactly how are we able to send up Pokemon with moves from the old TMs?

Generation 6 better not have an HM blocker, Nintendo. If you hand out a Surfing Pikachu or Flying one, I want to keep it. And if Generation 6 is somehow even faster than Generation 5... Then I don't wanna have to spend hours in a slower game just to transfer six Pokemon, like DPPt/HGSS. =P
  7. Blessed Blade
So; day 8. I now have all 8 badges. The Pokemon League is looming ahead. So; while the rest of the Pokemon world is in peril; I'll take a slight rest to blog. =P

First off. Dragonspiral Tower. It's amazing. Seriously. I kinda wish it had've been expanded, and had some twists to the puzzles like you'd see in a Zelda game; but Pokemon was never supposed to be Zelda, so I don't care about that. =P But it's a really awesome area. And as you're kicking Plasmaaaaaaaaaaa off the Tower, you think of how it opens up awesome opportunities in that way. =P But what's really amazing are two things.

    First off...
» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «Did the player character just think something?! That's big, so I'm keeping it spoilered for now. But really; if that happened like I think it did... That's a major step forward, all on it's own.
And secondly... That cutscene at the end was amazing. We get to see Red Eyes in all his glory. =P ... Oh? What's that? It was Zekrom? Oh, whoops, wrong series. =P But seriously; that scene was awesome. And that was only a one or two second one. If we actually get RS remakes; I definitely want to see some of the Kyogre/Groudon scenes like that. And if it incorporates some of the Emerald things into it; then the awakening/fleeing scenes could be just like the one from Dragonspiral; and there's no reason it couldn't be. And while I really would like the Player Character to be shown in said scenes as well, it still works, because it could be from the PC's perspective.

Second, the story. It's one of the best storylines in the Pokemon series, period. I have to say, it even rivals the first Mystery Dungeon game, though technically that's not all that had to do. =P

Third... Opelucid. I like how it looks; and the fact that it's got two separate variants to it. Kinda small though. =/ The Gym's awesome though; they really went all out on it's design. =D

Anyway; that's it, for now. But I'm reaching the endgame soon, so we'll see. =D

Might be a little late for some; but this'll have spoilers, in terms of the E4's Pokemon. Just saying. =P

Okaaaaay. So; at the Elite Four now. Tried last night; got three defeated; and lost to Shauntal. Sooo; I'm challenging her first this time. =P

Anyway; first off. That Elite Four battle theme. IS AWESOME. I think it's easily the best Elite Four theme. Ever. I definitely would like them to release that officially on a sound track. I'm serious; that needs to happen. Not just for that either; this whole game would work well on a soundtrack. Also; am I the only one who thinks it sounds similarly to one of the Death Note opening themes? Mostly just that first part as the battle begins. Could be imagining it; but either way, I'll just sum this up, as: Elite Four music; awesome. =P

Anyway; onto the actual Elite Four. I'll update this as I go on. First up is Shauntal.

/EDIT1: Shauntal has been defeated! She led off with her Confagrigus. I KO'd it in two hits, due to leading with Zoroark and using Shadow Ball. She followed with Golurk; and Golurk followed Confagrigus in three hits, since she used a Full Restore. She sent out Chandelure after that, and I switched out Zoroark for Samurott. Used Surf on her twice, and that was the end of that. She sent out Jellicent, and for some reason I switched to Gothitelle. Shadow Ball, while still Super Effective, barely did anything, however. So, I switched to Samurott, took her to red, and got fainted. So, then I revived her, but sent out Zoroark. One Shadow Ball, and the battle was over!

    Onto Caitlin now. =P

/EDIT 2: And that was as easy as it was last night. xP She led with Reuniclus, I fainted it in two hits, one to send her to red, one to faint her from full health after she full-restored it. =P She sent out Sigilyph; I one-hit it. She sent out Gothitelle; I two-hit it. She send out Musharna? Guess what; I two-hit it. =P She just kept using Psychic or other such moves, and in the case of Sigilyph; never even got to attack.

    Onto Marshal now.

/EDIT 3: Before I start the summary of the battle... have I ever said just how much I hate Sturdy? It's awesome; but works too well now.

Alright; so. Marshal led off with Throh; me with Gothitelle. Gothitelle emerged unscratched, as Psychic one-hit Throh. Next off, Marshal sent out Mienshao. That Pokemon gave me trouble last night with U-Turn, but thankfully didn't use it here, and Psychic one-hit him as well, with slight damage to Gothitelle. That's where things went wrong. Marshal sent out Sawk next. Not a bad choice; but it has Sturdy. I hit it 3 times with Psychic, taking it down from full health to 1 HP; healed it off twice; and fainted me with Karate Chop before I could attack the fourth time, since it had critical'd the first round against Sawk. Gothitelle fainted, I sent out Darmanitan. Fire Punch fainted it instantly. Finally, Marshal sent out Conkeldurr the clown. Flare Blitz got it to a little bit of HP, but Conkeldurr proceeded to faint Darmanitan in one hit(Thanks to the recoil). So, I sent out Samurott to clean up. =P Won it, by that much.

    Onto Grimsley now.

/EDIT 4: That was quick. Grimsley led with Scrafty, I had him finish off my last two non-essential Pokemon, Gonzo and Katie(Though I didn't really want him to, it was needed. I hope.). Then, I sent out Darmanitan. One-hit him with Hammer Arm, since I had been taking shots at him with the other two while waiting to be fainted. Then, he sent out Krookodile. I switched for Samurott; nearly got fainted since he out-sped me, but barely hung on for a Surf, which one-hit him. I switched for Darmanitan again for Bisharp; and then Fire Punched him to faintedness. Then, he sent out Liepard, which, though he got in a Fake Out, I one-hit with Hammer Arm. =P

Now; I'm going to go onto the Champion's room. Strange though; they've been mentioning about a Challenger, and N... Hmm... I'm sure it's nothing; just gotta beat Alder, and I'm done! ... Right?

(To be continued in next entry...)

    Alright, so, time for Day 7's installment. Problem is; I'm not sure of what to write about. >>;

SO! I'll just go on some more about Twist Mountain.

Great design, Twist Mountain. Really helps show off everything, while also providing a challenge.

However; could you have provided that challenge without it being from the really annoying Boldore, with their sturdy preventing one hit kills? There's nothing worse than running into it a hundred times through a trek around Twist Mountain; each requiring two hits compared to the one hit KOs of the rest of the Pokemon. xP

On the bright side; I caught a Cryogonal while searching for that missing entry point! 1% chance of running into it; and I definitely didn't pass that up. =P Was hard to catch, however. Ate through my Ultra Balls.

So, after much procrastinating, I may as well get down to the Dowsing Machine's entry. =P

Simply put? This variant of the Dowsing Machine/Item Finder, by far, is the best. Gone are the days of having to activate it multiple times! Gone are also the days of having to constantly tap it, or hold the stylus down on the screen while you move around!

No; now, all you have to do is activate it, and move around as you find items left, right, up, down, and center. =P Yes, it tracks items automatically. It may take a little getting used to, but it's by far the most convenient version yet. Even better than HGSS's version; and that's saying something. What this version does, is as you walk around, the two item finder 'antenna' things point in the direction of the item.

"What's so different about that?" You ask? Well, for one, it updates automatically. No need to tap it, or activate it each time you wish to get an update on the position. Just walk around. As you do so, it'll automatically turn it's position to reflect where you are compared to the item. Like, say you're south east, in comparison with the item. If you walk up, then it'll slowly turn from facing Northeast, then the the east, and then southeast. If you, however, walk over to that spot, and move on top of it, it will also let you know about that, by having both antennae facing each other, and displaying a symbol in the middle. Then, you simply have to walk one square off as usual, and then pick it up.

Simply put; this Dowsing Machine is extremely useful. Plus; it doesn't even get turned off automatically. The only things that do that is, say, when you go on Wi-Fi. You also have to disable it manually when you go to switch Pokemon, or save, but as I mentioned the other day, the rest can be handled by the Registration Menu. =)

So, today, I'll focus on the menu systems in this.

First of all, the main in-game menu. It's pretty much a revision of HGSS's touch screen menu; except, due to the C-Gear being on the screen at all times when on the normal overfield screens(Aka, not in a menu, battle, Musical thing, dressing up, or the GTS), it's been reassigned to popping up with X, like in D/P/Pt. However; this somehow works perfectly. I'm not sure if it's because the Running Shoes doesn't have an auto-on feature, or what; but it works very nicely. However, the main thing is the new global option for the menus...

You can now exit the entire menu, from nearly any screen, by either hitting the button X, or tapping the red X on the touch screen. I cannot express how awesome this feature is to use; as it cuts down on a lot of unnecessary time wasted by having to B out of every single menu. Now, if you're done something, or just want to cut down on a couple steps, and you're not at the couple exceptions, you can hit X, and return to the overfield. This even works on the PC! That's a very nice touch they add; and they better keep it in in future installments.

Also; since there's no space on the touch screen, either on the C-Gear screen or the Touch Menu, for the registered item spaces from HGSS... What did they do? Return it to only having 1 registered item?

No; they instead give you 23 more spots that you can register stuff with, accessible through Y! And the best thing? That's not even limited to items anymore. If you've seen pictures of Black and White; even the Japanese pictures; you may have wondered about those icons at the bottom. Well, one's obviously return, and I've mentioned that another is the awesome new exit button... But what's that checkbox? Well, that's the new select/register option. If you hit that; you can instantly register an item to the Y menu... or; if you hit the check box on the menus, you can instantly return to that menu! Doesn't work on the PC for obvious reasons, but even still, that helps very much with things. So, now, you can have the Dowsing Machine up(I'll go over that tomorrow; it deserves it's own entree. xP), flip between the bike quickly, check the status of your Pokemon, use an item(Your bag's pockets can be registered, and as you can flip between them easily, you pretty much can register your whole back with one spot, though multiple spots allow ease of use), change settings in the options menu, and check your Pokedex, without even closing the Dowsing Machine, since you need to do that to normally access the menu, like in HGSS. However, you have to close the Dowsing Machine to save or switch Pokemon, since they didn't include registration options for either of them, even though registering the Pokemon menu makes infinite sense. =/

Do you see how that opens up a lot of possibilities? This new registration system is extremely handy, and I hope it stays in the next Generation and onward, and even any remakes they make in the future.

Not gonna talk 'bout the C-gear or PC here; I'll leave that for future entries; as it's got massive amounts of information. And when Global Link and the Dream World open, I'll go over those as well, since I'll actually have access to info. That'll only be from 22 days and onward though, since it's not open yet. =P

Okay; so it's pretty obvious I don't have a blog theme. I want to change that. What do you guys think my next, err... first theme should be? I had been thinking something Monster Hunter related, though I may do something related to Black and White or something else... Any ideas?
  13. Blessed Blade
First of all, let me say that it's awesome that BZP's back, even if I didn't get to blog while I still had Tri that second week. =P

So; we're nearly there. Black's only two days away from releasing; and it's the one I'll be getting. It sounds awesome, even though I just found out they removed a very useful training tool; the Vs. Seeker. Why they did that, I have no clue, but it doesn't sound like it's entirely needed for this game at least.

Also, the Global Link site sounds sweet. Too bad it's not gonna be released 'til the end of the month... =/ The new layout it'll be getting looks great, though. =)
  14. Blessed Blade
Ballom can probably guess what this is about. =P

Sooo... I'm in the middle of fighting Alatreon. And winning(Well; two deaths down, but that's not too big a deal). Then, one of our gunners gets DCed. I don't think anything of it; we've still got three people including me. I run after Ala, going for the tail, since it wasn't cut yet. Ala stops for a moment, and I take the opportunity to slice at it.

... Then I get the notice:

    "A communication error has occurred."

... AAAAAAAAAAARGH!! >_< >=O and the like. I was none too impressed at that. However; thinking back, I should've seen the first warning sign: Ala stopped. xD Ala never stops. When monsters suddenly stop for no reason, it tends to be a sign of communication lag or errors. I was hoping it was lag. =P

No status update yet. Haven't got much to report. =P
  15. Blessed Blade
Two entries in a day? *Gasp*

Alright. So. First of all, next entry, whenever I make that, I'll list the different types of monsters I've slayed, how many, and the sizes of each.

So, first things first. Why, do people on recruiting servers, sometimes join up to do quests other than what's listed? Like, the city's a Lagi city, but people want to do Rathalos. It doesn't make much sense. Or; even better; the person joins the Lagi city, and they're only HR 32 or something. High Rank Lagiacrus is 40+. Sure, you help the person, but it take away from Lagi fighting. =/

Second, more a note, and something I noticed about myself. I had horrible trouble with LR and Offline Barioth. Yet, I get on the first HR Barioth quest I find; and win easily. And then proceed to do it again one or two more times. It makes no sense. 0_o Yet I can't destroy a Diablos.

Third, something that's just... weird. An observant eye will note that the Ala longsword has inherent Dragon properties; right? Well the Ala armour set has... Awakening. Yet Awakening's useless on the longsword, since it already has an element. 0_o But what's even weirder; is the Jho Longsword needs Awakening for it's Dragon Element. What did Capcom do; accidentally switch Jho and Ala's armour set properties? 0_o It would make more sense to have Awakening on the Jho set, since it can be used without mixing weapons, though everyone does that anyway.

    Status Update:

... Dangit, now I'll need to get a new category for this. >_>

So, anyway. I'm really liking that new Jho Capture mission. Why? Because I've already captured him approximately five times. Got the first form of his Longsword, which is awesome, even if it needs Awakening to actually get it's Dragon Element.

The next thing, is that I just got to HR 40 last night. I've been authorized to embark on 5* Missions!

That means that all I have to do is get to HR 45 or 46 in the next little while, and I'll be able to get every single High Rank item in one way or another; barring those stupid Conqueror's Seals. >_> I do need to own HR Lagi a few times though; getting either Lagi + Armour, or just plain upgrading my Lagi armour is a very good idea to do... And it means I get a head start on upgrading my Helios Armour once I start getting those Seals.

Also; I'm not good at all against Diablos +. Found that out last night. =P

So; since I'm blanking on ideas for entries, I thought I'd default to discussing Black and White. =P

So; Black and White look awesome. Gen 5 is getting off to an amazing start. Slightly disappointed at the features that aren't returning yet; but they'll be back, it's just a matter of time. =P

The names could be better is some cases; but in others(Haxorus), they're pretty good.

I'm still wondering; however; what made them switch 'Isshu' to 'Unova'.
  20. Blessed Blade
Well this is a surprise. Wasn't expecting this. Return from my slight inactivity leave(I blame Brawl. =P) to find that I'm now a Premier Member. Nice. =)

So; I would like to thank whoever helped me out with the Premiership. =) Not sure however how long it is.

So.... As I hinted in the last entry; I now have Brawl. It's awesome. However; now I see what the deal is with the Wi-Fi. Friend battles, perfect at times. With Anyone? ... Not so much. Sure; I've had some good battles at times, but... Corneria. Final Destination. Heck, Battlefield lags, though even that has a reason.

And why isn't there a way of tracking online wins and displaying them on your profile? Or at least tracking them for friend battles, and against individual friends?

Either way; I'll use this entry, or a future one to do that, and then break it down per character.

While we're talking about individual characters, by the way, I'm currently using Ike as my main, as I do best with him it seems. Not too shabby with Link either; offline at least.
  22. Blessed Blade
Hmm. Blogs still available. Sweet; I love it when I do that.

Anyway; it must be a temporal field around the TARDIS that's causing this... Either that, or someone hit the Stop Time button in the entry I linked to. =O ... Or it's just a case of it doesn't end yet.
