  1. It looks more or less like a 2004 Kanoka color-wise (slightly greenish white).
  2. In my experience, if you charged it long enough and kept it in a very dark room, something like this (or maybe even a bit brighter) wouldn't be unreasonable.
  3. It came in the Battle for Metru Nui playset from 2005 (the one with a giant gate that looked like Lhikan's mask). I own one but when I took a quick look I couldn't find it, so I can't say how well it glows, but since I can't remember anything specifically I'd imagine it works about as well as your average GITD piece. I don't know of it having any storyline significance.
  4. According to this, Normal members get 2000 kb, 1 album, and 5 images per album (so 5 images), and premier members get 10000 kb, 5 albums, and 20 images per album (so 100 images). I can't say for sure but I imagine increased gallery space isn't one of the anniversary week perks, so the only way to get more space is if you get a PMship.
  5. Here's a picture of one of the stage 1 version of Panrahk's Kraata; the coloration doesn't change between the levels, only the markings. If you're looking to buy one, they're called "Kraata Xi" and their coloring is officially "Sand Yellow Metallic/Brick Yellow" so they might be listed under one of those names. BS01 has a whole page detailing Kraata types here if you're interested in reading even more long color names .
  6. 1) It is the jungle tribe 2) I hesitate to comment on this, simply because everything to do with the UDD symbol came from the story team as a whole, not just me. 3) Reysa died outside of the MU, so would not have gone to the red star (Source) Unfortunately, expecting me to remember everything that was written more than four years ago us not realistic. If you ask questions, I am going to give the best answers I can based on today, because I don't have time to go back and reread all the old material. Folks are certainly free to keep that in mind. (Source) I think it's safe to say they are moons after all, given that they have been portrayed as such in most media. I think the lesson to take from this is that if a question can be adequately answered with old material, it's better to ask the fans who have access to said material before asking Greg who has to use his memory.
  7. You mean them being planets and not moons? Kind of yes, because it's fun to think about why it's nonsensical. If we want to explain them with real-life physics, maybe they could each be at one of Bara Magna's Lagrange points? Based on what we've seen, they'd probably be at L1 and L2, but it sounds like their orbits would be unstable at those points.
  8. Hey Infrared, Woukd you mind starting a group conversation with Nuparu and I (I'm currently on mobile ) your help might be what we need right now Nuparu sent me some stuff already, but unfortunately I think you have to be premier to set up a group PM.... I'll send you a PM with a link to the stuff I've gotten done though.
  9. Welcome to BZPower!

  10. Hi! I realize you guys are working on the battle engine right now, but is there anything additional you need done that I could lend a hand with at this point?
  11. Also, even more intriguing, Makuta can form Kaita, but choose not to: I'm not sure if this refers to physical capability or knowledge of the fusion, but if they know, it may be common knowledge. (Makuta can form Nuis but Toa can't. Weird.) Also, the Matoran on Metru Nui were able to form a Matoran Nui, so they had to know that merging was possible. Hmm... even if fusions are common knowledge, seeing as Matoran never make Kaita might it be possible Matau had never heard the term Kaita prior to learning about the fusions? Going off of BS01's walkthrough, the next mention of Kaita is when Takua goes to see Nuju in Chapter 7, but apparently he knows a lot about them: Then Vakama says this in Chapter 8: Vakama may not know much since what he says is pretty vague (or he may just be withholding info he doesn't think Takua needs to know) but Nuju is a lot more forthcoming/knows a lot more. So maybe Nuju discerned additional info from the prophecies and didn't bother to tell anyone until Takua came along? Or maybe Matau just didn't pay attention during the Turaga meetings? Edit: Sorry, I didn't see the two posts above this. That Tehutti point is interesting because the McToran made a Matoran Nui and they seemed to know about fusions already, but maybe the Turaga told the Matoran since they saw the Great Disk Matoran make one back on Metru Nui. In that case, maybe the Turaga only knew about Nui and not Kaita since Matoran Kaita were never formed, and then when they heard the term Toa Kaita they didn't know what it meant until Nuju figured it out....
  12. It's certainly possible. Matau says he doesn't know what the Toa Kaita are in the MNOLG: This may be one of the non-canon details in the game though.
  13. Apparently if they eat with their mouths, all of the food gets converted into energy. 1) They wouldn't need organs to process the food even if they did eat conventionally, as many Rahi do. In most cases, the Matoran simply touched the fruit or fish and drained energy from them. If they tried to eat it with their mouths, the physical contact would still drain the energy that they need to live and any food remnants would have been destroyed by the energies inside their body, so no waste, etc. 2) No. They are designed to not be able to do that. Nor have we ever seen one drain energy from a Rahi. The fish they ate on Mata Nui were Aqua Magna fish, not MU fish. 3) Depends on what you mean by age. If you mean does time affect them, yes, they have natural lifespans and can die of old age. They can also gain in knowledge, experience and maturity as time goes on. Look at how Takua went from avoiding the responsibility of being a Toa to choosing to take it on -- that is a sign of maturity. I never particularly saw the Matoran as being like children. I saw them as villagers. They don't have super powers and they rely on the Toa for that, the same as the citizens of Metropolis rely on Superman. (Source) Maybe even though absorbing the energy through your hands gets you less energy from a given food item overall (since you have stuff left over and you don't if you eat it), the additional energy expended processing the leftover stuff (which presumably is harder to convert, otherwise if you used your hands the whole thing would be processed) means that it'd be more efficient to take energy from several items instead of eating one? That might explain why the Matoran used their hands instead of their mouths and a stigma rose around eating normally.
  14. This one definitely looks like the Mask of Hype. You did a good job redesigning it to make it crazier while still keeping some hints of the old design with the spikes. The drool and the vein pop are both nice touches as well.
  15. Sorry for the late responses.... Thanks! If you get the chance you should definitely post your Ignika, it sounds really cool. To be honest I'm not really sure how long it took to design, but I'd guess maybe 1 and a half to 2 hours (it took me a while to come up with the idea and the browser froze at one point so I had to start over). I wasn't there for a good portion of the printing process, so I really couldn't attest to that. Hey, thanks! If you're interested I can remake the model....
  16. Hey guys, I'm the one who deleted the BS01 page (for what it's worth I'm not technically an admin, I just have admin powers, so yeah). You can see why here... no hard feelings, but in general please try to get both sides of the story before resorting to name calling. Also, Arzaki did include credits with the image, I just made a mistake when I was responding to his message—sorry about that. That said, this is a cool mask you've got—the spikes fit with the whole frenzy theme, and it reminds me a lot of bonesiii's PowerPoint masks. However, I'm with ShadowWolfHount in that it doesn't immediately make me think "hype" when I see it; to be honest, it looks more like an immoral mask based on the shape of the eyeholes. Maybe if you remove some of the spikes and made the eyeholes bigger the shape would fit its power more (and throwing in some random colors couldn't hurt ).
  17. Yes please? I'd love new powers if they have those :D People have asked before, but he never determined them before the serials ended. Here's his latest response to the question: None of this information exists, and I cannot name new characters because I no longer have an approved name list from LEGO.(Source)
  18. I actually just printed one of those myself, heh. Good luck and have fun with it! One thing to remember is that whenever you put down plastic, there needs to be something underneath it, be it the printer table or just more plastic. If you print plastic out over air, and it looks like that might happen in several places on the cube, the plastic will just fall down to whatever's beneath it when it's printed and you'll have a tangled mess of filament instead of a Nuva Cube.
  19. Thanks! Yeah, the texture is very inconsistent because the technology is still very new, or it could have been something to do with the algorithm the printer used (I don't know since I didn't actually set up the printer, but that might explain why you can see hexagons on Tahu's symbol and you can't on the others). Putty is a very interesting idea, actually; however, at the same time I think it's cool that it's rough because it shows you the shortcomings of the technology. Certainly it would look better if I fixed it up a bit, but it'll make an interesting comparison piece in a couple years when the printing process is more refined and we can look back and see how far 3D printing has come. Maybe I can print out another cube then to see! Well, it is sort of shiny if you hold it up to the light just right.... Unfortunately the only shiny filament I could have used was gold, and of course that's not the color of the Nuva Cube. Interesting... you're right, I hadn't noticed it before, but comparing them now the gray actually does look a lot like blay and the light blue looks like the new HF light blue (I guess it's called "medium azure"). In terms of sanding, see above--maybe in a few years the tech will improve to the degree sanding won't be necessary in which case this will be a very interesting piece to compare new prints to.
  20. Flickr Brickshelf My precious... Tahu Gali Pohatu Lewa Kopaka Onua Recently I had the opportunity to use some 3D printers, and I decided to use them to make the Nuva Cube. The cube is made of PLS, has a length/width/height of 2 inches, and is composed of four 1 7/8" x 1/8" x 2" and two 2" x 1/8" x 2" faces each glued onto one of the sides of a 1 3/4" cube (rather, that's the dimensions of the computer model… as you can tell, the technology is still pretty finicky, and the measurements don't always come out right). I designed it in Tinkercad and glued all the pieces save one together, but the actual printing was done by someone who actually knew what he was doing. (The piece I didn't glue was the one on the bottom of Lewa's face since I wasn't there when it finished printing and it was the last piece not yet glued on.) I also have to give credit to fearmaker782 of deviantArt as I frequently referred back to his own System Nuva Cube during the design process since each face is set up on a clear 8 x 8 grid. Unfortunately I don't have access to the model anymore, but if anyone is interested I could recreate the model fairly easily and post a link to it. Thoughts?
  21. Here's the quote from the LMBs bones was talking about: I would assume she would be found eventually by a salvage crew.for her BS01 page, could we say that she was found then, or should we say that she's still in stasis? You can say that salvage crews are close to stumbling on her location. (Source) (OGC copy)
  22. Oh, sorry. :/ Anyway, here's what Greg had to say about Varian a while ago: I would assume she would be found eventually by a salvage crew.for her BS01 page, could we say that she was found then, or should we say that she's still in stasis? You can say that salvage crews are close to stumbling on her location. 23. Also, unrelated to the Velika stuff: 1) I think, if anything, they were given armor based on what their power was, as opposed to the other way around. (Source) A pretty insignificant detail, just something I was curious about (bones, maybe it'd be useful for your retelling?). Edit: quote spacing
  24. More Velika stuff: 1) I believe it would have been a case that the Matoran had been created but the consciousness did not yet exist, so there was no mind to delete or overlay.(Source) Greg, I think that these questions got buried, along with the following post. 1) Not a preferred theory, no, but I do think we can take as a given that Velika was responsible. 2) To answer your last question first, yes, some would try to stop him, probably most. But as for good or bad .. they were scientists, Scientists discover cures for diseases -- or unleash plagues -- not out of good or evil, but because they CAN. 3) He probably made a big show of going into exile so they wouldn't be concerned about him 4) He definitely believes he is doing the right thing. Conquerors usually do. He feels that a lack of direct control by the GBs caused the crisis, and he is determined to remedy that.(Source)
  25. Thanks! He was actually originally just going to have the blue and not the orange, but I added the orange as a temporary part and I just kept going with it. Ah well, perhaps I took a bit too much of a risk with them. Do you think it would look better with just blue, or perhaps if the colors were more distributed like Pranciblad suggested? Thanks for the feedback! Do you think maybe if I worked some blue and orange into the shoulders it would look somewhat better (maybe as a bonus I could try to cover up that awkward transition between grays as well)? In regards to the different neutral colors, I agree, but unfortunately there just aren't the right parts in the right colors (or if there are, I don't own them) to do away with all of them; same with regards to the use of gray/blay (specifically, his Hau and this piece, which supports his shoulders, were only made in gray, and the shoulder parts were only made in blay). :| I did make an effort to keep the torso and head all gray and the limbs all blay to make it less noticeable, but in some areas, especially the shoulders, it's more obvious. Maybe I can beef the feet up a bit, same with the weapon.... Also, what areas specifically do you think protrude too much? Because he's supposed to look somewhat jagged and unrefined.... I wish I could say that was the intention with the weapon, but I honestly hadn't noticed that until you said it, so thanks, that's what it is now. Once I started with the with the whole orange/blue thing the intent was more to try something new than look especially magnetism-y , plus it would balance out the color of his heartlight and eyes... if I balanced it out more as suggested above, do you think it'd look better? Thanks for the feedback, everyone!
