  1. I REALLY wish that people would learn that the contents of the boxes are partially random, in that there's usually a guaranteed 3 of each character, with randoms thrown in to round the number out. Each of these is equally likely to get from a fresh box, but after collectors have gotten through them you'll see many more skiers and DJs.Please learn!
  2. Looks really cool. Wonder if there'll be any other sets?
  3. I watched the first two episodes to see what the fuss is about. It's completely average so far, but I think I'm getting sucked in...Rivin
  4. Not in the way you'd think... :biggrin:In actuality though, I've never had this problem. Mind telling us which ones got sticky? Stormer's, WDs, or some silver ones you can't date?Rivin
  5. The weirdest thing... Since I just watched this episode on a whim yesterday.Love the MOC, hope you stay in the contest.Rivin
  6. I kind of don't want Furno to come back, but his red parts are OOOOOO so useful...Probably I'd pick:BreezFurnoStringerNexNew Female Hero in purpleRivin
  7. I like your idea. Although they're not MMOs, LEGO did release the online Ordeal of Fire and Savage Planet games. What's more, they're free to play and you can customize your own Heroes. I've had fun with both games, and I recommend them.Plus, you can buy your custom heroes through Hero Recon Team. I even got an exclusive code to use in the games with my purchase.-Toa Of JusticeNo need to quote stuff I already know...And I just bought WoW for $20. I have a month of game time and up to lvl 70. By the time my month is up I'll be buying the next expansion.Lego should learn from successful MMOs.Rivin
  8. I would say that I'm not particulary surprised.Things that hurt Lego Universe:-The controls. They were wonky and nonintuitive and the game made my computer lag a ton. As with many MMO developers, take note from WoW. Copy their controls. WoW controls are extremely easy to use, very clean, and can be rebound if you like. -Price. WoW costs ~ $20 (basic) plus $15 a month, but you get a huge world you will have to play through more than once. Runescape is free with $6 a month and while is kind of cool, is also really cheap. LU had near WoW price but with nowhere near as much content.-Content. Now I know Lu is aimed mostly at 8 year olds, but a major problem with this is how much money does an 8 year old often have? Had they upped the amount of content as well as aimed it slightly higher, (say, 11+) LU might have very well done good.-Parent Reaction. How would you, as a parent, feel if you bought your child Lego toy after Lego toy (which frankly look a lot alike), then they come up to you and want you to start paying a monthly fee for a computer game that they'd waste a lot of time on and then get bored with. All in all, LU was rather doomed. Now, a HF MMO with similar controls to WoW, (with equipment being armor on the heroes) could very well succeed if developed and priced right. Heck, I'd spend 5 bucks a month to play as a custom hero defeating baddies.RiV
  9. It doesn't resemble Rocka very much yes, but it's such an awesome helmet I'm not complaining. I'll probably end up using his 3.0 helmet instead, honestly. Rivin
  10. My Waspix box was lying around when my cat (only 5ish months old) came over and stuck her head in. Eventually she was pouncing on the box and shoving her entire body up to her legs into it. I'm not throwing that box away now. What do you do with your boxes? Rivin
  11. Yes. Uses pieces only from Scorpio AND uses all of them. Every. Last. One. Rivin+
  12. I actually dismantled this last night and rebuilt it into a more raptor/T-rex esque build. Still uses every last part. I might post it in this topic since it kind of looks like a dragon and employs the same idea- use every single last part. Rivin
  13. So after I got and built Scorpio his parts looked so good I had to build this: http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Aedai-Rivin/Scorpio-Dragon/102411_009.jpg Sorry for such a large picture, my computer's acting up. This Moc uses EVERY single last piece from Scorpio. C&C are appreciated. Rivin
  14. Are there any Hero Factory Parts you wish existed? Why? I wish that larger body pieces (like on Rocka XL) had two ball joints running up the middle instead of only one. Would make the mold a whole lot more useful. Rivin
  15. I agree, Waspix is a great set. Tempted to ask for another for Christmas since the parts are so useful. Rivin
  16. hmm.... I've gotten a set of masks (Turaga Nokama, Nuju, and Onewa) Teal Miru, Purple Pakari, and complete Jala Mctoran for 5 bucks in like 07. Besides that nothing. Rivin
  17. Okay, I'm not going to lie- The new Hero Factory building system cannot be truly enjoyed until you've bought a larger set. Preferably Scorpio. He is the best Titan set, as: 1. Costs $5 less than the other two Titans2. Contains practically no pins or needles.3. Comprised almost entirely of bone and shell pieces.4. LIME5.This Piece. (actually don't have a picture of said piece, but it's the one that is almost a Vahki thigh piece but has a ball in the middle. Part ID = 4614227) Now, although red is the most useful color, the fact that this set comes with SIX of these makes the set great. So what Hero Factory set did you find to be AWESOME? Rivin
  18. hmmm... let's see... In the Target and the 2 Walmarts I frequent, it seems that the 1.0 and 2.0 sets are doing okay (as I can still spot Bulk 1.0 and Fire Lord in some places) But as a whole the sets seem to sell well enough. Rivin
  19. Wasn't aware as the site was down. Q_Q Rivin
  20. For villains, I'd recommend Waspix. Useful pieces. If you can afford it, the $25 Scorpio is a REALLY good set. Tons of pieces in useful colors. For Heroes, try buying them in pairs for the combos. Bulk and Furno make the best combo, followed closely by Rocka + Stormer. Rivin
  21. My only complaint is that, build-wise, there was no difference between 2 and 3.0. And, I'm assuming only Alpha Team got the animal upgrade, so since it was exclusive to them, it doesn't seem like it should be considered an upgrade (unless I'm mistaken and the whole Factory got the animal upgrade). KalhikiThat's because it wasn't an upgrade. All that happened was that they got refitted with new armor and weapons.I'm fairly sure it was more than just a typical refitting. Even if it wasn't a huge upgrade, they were given new hardware that granted them "animal powers", just like how in the 2.0 upgrade they were given heat-resistant Hero Cores and more advanced motors in their joint areas.I've already given my thoughts on why 3.0 isn't an upgrade in the same sense as 2.0, but I digress =P. It does raise an interesting point on how this will be treated in the story; another montage of refits, presumably. I wonder if they'll use Evo's 2.0 model, as well as Surge and Breez? It would make it easier to connect the similarities between Evo's helmet. You gotta wonder how intentional were those similarities; did it just look cool, or was it a deliberate homage? If the latter, where the heck did Rocka's helmet come from? Although Rocka's 2.0 helmet didn't have a scope, (and he didn't exist as a 1.0 and his 3.0 doesn't have one) Then the scope is purely a design that would be beneficial. (and seeing that helmet SO wants me to make a clockworking dude with it.) Rivin
  22. A lot (pretty much all) of the villains this winter are homages/whatever to villains we've had in the past. But I agree, an overarching storyline lasting, say, three segments would be nice. part 1: Villain does something, heroes stop him, he escapespart 2: Heroes investigate some sketchy stuff that's happening in Outer Ringpart 3: Villain has corrupted several heroes and assaults the city. Heroes defend and defeat him. THAT'S something that I could get behind. Rivin
