(Daedalus)

Who am I? I'm a Christian brown-haired, hazel-eyed, rosy-cheeked human male who stands a little over six feet tall. I'm not particularly outgoing and I don't talk much, but you'd be hard-pressed to find a better listener. I enjoy reading, writing, and collecting glass soda bottles. Oh, and I like pocket watches.

But that's a little vague. How about some specifics?

Reading. I've found myself doing a little less of this lately, but I've done plenty in my lifetime, and I aim to do a lot more. I'm a fairly quick reader, especially when I really like the book. There is no possible way I could ever pick a single book, or even a series, as my favorite, so I'm not going to try.

Writing. I've been a "writer" ever since I was in the 3rd grade, but I didn't start doing it often until I was about twelve. I wrote a lot until I got into high school. None of it is worth mentioning, but that period is what really sparked my interest in writing. I still didn't do it much, however, and I spent most of my time coming up with ideas and world-building in my head. My most earnest writing effort happened this year when I was taking a creative writing course, and because of the success of that story (relatively speaking), I have taken a keener interest in pursuing a career in writing (though I have a looooong way to go). Because of my work schedule, I'm able to get anywhere from an hour to two hours of writing time in the morning, and I'm trying to make the most of it. It's slow going, but I've got a lot of stories floating around in my head. Hopefully once I get in a groove, things will snowball.

Soda bottle collecting. Not much to say about this, really. Basically, I or my family will try to find different brands of soda in glass bottles, usually root beer, orange soda, or grape soda, and I keep the bottle.
