  1. Well, can't say I didn't warn you. I'm targeting Xae this round. X can protect him or Xae can protect himself if they want to prolong the game, but the point is, I cannot die until he does. Sorry, Xae! The X and Burnmad will avenge you for me.
  2. Dunno how iBrow designed the role but I distinctly remember at least one game where someone was targeted by both the Mafia and the SK/Pyro/MF/whatever the loose-cannon killing role was called back then and the Doctor protected that player from one but not the other.
  3. Right. My mistake. Zakaro still would have died if the Medic protected him, because the Medic would have only protected him against himself before I killed him.
  4. I'll use my mysterious obvious powers to go ahead and grant Burnmad a free vote for me, even if he might be dead. But since the Medic saved you I think you're clearly alive.
  5. "It's so boring, isn't it? Just... staying..." #isnoonegettingthesereferences #thismakesmesad EDIT: Me: 4 (is this right? Burn, Xae, X, MG, I've got everyone, I think. I'm bad at counting) MG: 1 Going to go ahead and call this one against myself, if that's all right with Tex. We have a clear majority of living players (all except me, I think?) who want me dead, and even if I missed a vote it couldn't tip the balance. So, here's to my own execution.
  6. Me: 2 MG: 1 Burnmad, since your vote for Zakaro is now invalid, do you want to go back to voting me? Are you sure you can resist a chance to seize the danish, win the blog revolution, and overthrow your master?
  7. Exactly! I'm village-aligned and not-village-aligned at the same time. I'm like Schrödinger's Cat. I'd vote for myself too, but I need MaliceGhost to die. I'm not telling you that lynching is still impossible to get you to change anything. I'm just saying I can't die yet as a matter of fact. I'm only telling you this already so I can smirk when I survive the hanging and MG doesn't. Has he voted yet, by the way? I want to see the hanging. Actually, as acting quasi-host can I call the votes in favour of my hanging already? It'll be hilarious when I survive and more hilarious if I totally misunderstood my role and died.
  8. It's either, not both; that is correct. But I do not have an alignment until I formally declare it to iBrow. Which I may or may not have done. I'm just going to let you try and lynch me and see what happens. More fun that way. I mean, I know what will happen already, I talked it over with iBrow. But I won't spoil it for you guys. Your mistake lies in thinking that the Sentinels are village-aligned. They're not. They're neutral. Hence my "three sides" comment a few posts back. Technically, there were four sides present for most of the game since I was still officially unaligned the entire time I was working with the Hunters. When it became clear that the Hunters were pretty much doomed I killed off the last one and turned in my application for village alignment to Private Detective Tex's office, which was speedily approved by his secretary. Look, the Hunters are dead but the village hasn't won yet because the Sentinels are alive. Kill off the Sentinels, and the remaining players will be me, the X, and Burnmad, who come to think of it, I'm pretty sure is alive. (So, three votes for me then. Cool.) If the village doesn't auto-win by the time I kill the last Sentinel, you two can easily hang me. Ooh, can we have a #BurnmadLives campaign to celebrate the discovery that our favourite detective is alive? [sherlock theme plays]
  9. My attempts to take the helm are complete. Muahaha! Lhikevikk: 2 + 1 sub-ethereal vote, whatever that is (should I count that? guess not, lol) MaliceGhost: 1 I'm adding my vote for MG because malice ghosts are malicious and ghostly. And guys -- voting to hang me won't do anything. I'm village-aligned now, because I targeted Zakaro. Therefore, I cannot die until the Sentinels are gone.
  10. ...I saw it. Using my mysterious powers of mysteriousness. I mean, they're not very mysterious anymore. Everyone knows who I am now. Right? Maybe my title should just be changed to the Obvious Figure.
  11. Also, why are you guys assuming I will kill Burnmad? Why would I target my long-lost sibling and right-foot henchman? (Or are you left-foot...? I'm starting to forget.)
  12. Oh man! The suspense is killing me. Any of the three sides can win at this point.
  13. Actually, it's phenomenally unlikely that the Mafia will win, despite what it looks like. Remember that the Figure is immortal until one or the other faction is dead, and by then the other faction will be badly weakened, most likely. Is it one or the other, or both? Anyway, I vote for Xaeraz.
  14. Nulling here. Dangerous things are afoot. I have to be cautious.
  15. I find your lack of faith to be disturbing, henchman. [invisible noose appears around Burnmad's neck]
  16. Look, I fully support the hanging of the Miracle Man. We already have enough votes to make it happen, and it almost certainly will happen. And that's the problem. It's predictable. It's a good idea, but it's predictable. So I propose that we do something utterly unexpected in addition to it. I say we shall lynch the host. The rules can he cannot be killed, but that does not mean he cannot die. And standard Mafia convention, to be followed unless otherwise noted at the beginning of the game, dictates that whosoever receive half the votes of the surviving players must die. By the rules of the game, Voltex is immune to being targeted by the Hunters or the Mysterious Figure but can still be hanged. We have seven votes for MoM. There are 14 players, so MoM is done for already. Everyone who voted him, keep your votes on him. However, that still leaves 7 other votes to be put to good use. But will this round be a bland hanging of a confirmed Hunter, and nothing else? Or will it be a round to remember? The round that the village did the seemingly impossible and lynched the host? Four score and seven games ago, the founders of this great forum, John and Mary Lull, wrote a letter to Black Six asking that a Games & Trivia forum be created so that their grandchildren could play productive and educational games like Mafia which would teach them how to have PHUN and discover the joyous virtue of pointless bloodshed. Tragically, they died in a blogging accident before their wish could be realized. So I would like to dedicate this round to their memory. Do it for them, Village. Do it for the Lulls. Lynch the Host! I vote Voltex and I approve this message.
  17. ...hey, guys? Guess what? I did have a plan, and it worked. I triggered a frantic series of vote switches that lasted throughout the entire voting period and prevented the outcome from becoming obvious until the final hour. If I really wanted to prevent the double-hang, I would have let you all assume that the period would time out with no new votes, before swinging in at the last minute to tip the balance. But I didn't! I caused chaos. Beautiful, beautiful, chaos. Because I am the deadly fusion of Types One and Two. Been logical does not preclude doing things for the lulz. I serve the lulz to the best of my logical abilities, which means not causing chaos until the moment is right. PRAISE THE LULZ! PRAISE IT!
  18. Hello new page! Enjoy your wonderful life of frantic vote-switching and absolute chaos! Also, Burnmad's cause is righteous and just therefore I switch my vote to The X. Maybe we can get a triple-hang!
  19. ...will hanging Snake kill Onarax? We don't know if lynching the Father's sibling (henceforth known as the Uncle) will kill the Father because the Father is under the Cloaker's protection, which may or may not protect against lynching -- Voltex has been pretty ambiguous about it so far.
  20. Because the Sentinels have no clue who's Mafia or not...? EDIT: Ninja'd in epic ways I had never thought possible.
