Hi there, i realize this post is old but are any of your Rahi Control S1 still available? I'm very close to completing a full set :) Thanks!

I believe I still have all three Rahi Control (dark gold/black) S1 as listed in the original post! I can PM you about it in some hours (off to work now); I'm also looking to complete a full set, maybe we could trade (if not, I can certainly sell as well). Thanks!

Can anyone tell me what this is?

It appears to be a milky white Toa Metru foot. I can't find it as a color option on Bricklink or anywhere else.

I would say you're correct -- milky white. I've never seen one before! However, milky white is a relatively common color among prototypes -- any way you might have acquired that kind of piece?

Either way, the color seems indisputable -- it's either milky white or opaque glow in the dark! Seems to me that it's either a rare part or a very well made knockoff. Do the marks match other Toa Metru feet you might have?

Last question... since we're in this forum, if you believe it to be genuine LEGO, would you consider selling it?

  3. Hi all -- thanks to a recent acquisition, I was prompted to re-check my Kraata and ended up finding a lot more duplicates. As such, see the original post for a much expanded list of Kraata offerings. I've updated other things as well, including adding quite a bit more Krana and a (rare?) Nestle Avak figure to the potential tradeables.

Due to life and all that I may be a bit slow on the uptake as far as sending any messages I may have been previously supposed to send, or making other changes to this topic. Just give me another heads-up if you happen to have Kraata (or really need some!).

I found a misprint Kraata (trans-green to tan instead of the normal bronze to tan) in the Bricks and Minifigs down in Portland. I only learned about them last week too.

Great find, and great photo too. From what I remember all prior photographed metallic green/tan Kraata were Stage 3 -- this is the first I've seen of a Stage 4. I'd be extra curious to know if the other stages exist, but they seem too rare to be normally collectible.

How much would you sell all your duplicate kraata for, I'm interested in all of em.

If you like various LEGO polybags (any theme, I got piles and can show you if interested) , i can trade for kraata as well.

I would price Kraata at USD 3.50 per Wild (and Shadow) variant and 3.00 per Rahkshi variant, with the two slightly damaged Kraata discounted to 2.00 each. The total for all regular Rahkshi Kraata on offer would therefore be USD ($)141, and for all Wild + Shadow Kraata would be 168, making the total $313. That said, I would prefer to trade rather than sell; I have a Kraata habit of my own to fuel, you understand. :P
I'll take a look at what LEGO polybags I might be needing and also get back to you as I (with some luck) fill in a few more of those missing Kraata.

I've got a very large amount of spare Kraata, I can cross-reference both my dupes with your want list and my want list with your dupes.

That would be great, thank you! Let me know when you do.

  6. 2020/08/22: Please check up-to-date Kraata availability below, after a recent pending sale. Small restock expected next week.

    Greetings all --

I'm back again in search of Kraata, and offering up many in kind, among various other collectibles. As usual, I'm also interested in Nestle items, particularly the throwing stars aka spinners.

My target Kraata are the empty squares in the chart hidden below. Due to many duplicates, the Kraata I have on offer are tabulated in text form instead. Please also note the various other things I'm offering if they're of interest, including a handful of Krana as well as BIONICLE and Technic merchandise. I'm happy to negotiate pricing if anyone would like to buy or sell excess quantity in the course of trade as well.

Thanks -- please post or PM if you have any questions or issues!

  7. The minifigures look quite good, and the Advent Calendar is a great idea for Harry Potter, but I'm really not loving the broom design in the Hungarian Horntail set (is it a new one?), and the Knight Bus is bafflingly boxy and plain -- maybe the only set where I actively prefer the original to the redesign. The new wands are still not my favorite either, but that's been set in stone for a while now.

  8. NOTE, 4/2/2019: 2001 watch and a very large number of Kraata have been reserved! If you want Kraata, check quickly before the remaining few go!

    Hello all --

I am looking for a few rare items, as well as looking to sell or trade some of my BIONICLE collection! Primarily, I am seeking collectibles and offering an array of Kraata and BIONICLE-branded merchandise, but please ask if you are interested in specific parts or masks not listed; my collection is in no way complete, but extensive for a casual collector (LOTS of Tohunga/McDonalds Matoran parts, various masks, etc.).

My biggest objective is the full set of 2006 Nestle BIONICLE spinners. Example images of them can be viewed here as well as here; they are throwing stars with one Technic pin hole at their top, and came packaged with a paperboard "opponent". I own the Reidak spinner and associated Inika Nuparu card -- I would be looking to buy or trade for any or all of them, including duplicates of that one, but especially the other five.

I am also seeking Kraata of all kinds. The empty squares on this chart plus Stage 2 and 6 Guurahk, Stage 3 and 6 Turahk, and Stage 5 Shadow Kraata are what I am most interested in, but I will trade or pay for any Kraata!

As such, I am offering Kraata in kind (more or less). I've listed them below with head color followed by tail color; S1 = Stage 1, etc. Rahkshi Kraata are the most well-represented, but there are plenty of Wild Kraata too!

Lastly, I am interested in just about any Mata-era mask, especially any misprint or prototype (excluding white Noble Ruru). Please let me know if you have any that you are willing to trade/sell!

    Happy browsing...

  9. I have one orange and two gold Vahi, old gold Pakari, and a few other things (Tohunga masks, Rahi masks, infected Hau, etc.). Are you interested in anything beyond 2001 or should I list out more specifics of the 2001-type masks? And are you looking for anything specific in Mata and Noble Kanohi besides the misprint Kaukau?

I also can offer sets such as Bohrok, Toa Mata, and various System bits if those would be of interest. Let me know what you think. I can PM you to expand on things to avoid cluttering this topic.

  10. I know of none in my area, and honestly, I don't like events that much anyway. I suppose I could consider it someday, though. The main obstacle is lack of transportation, as I certainly wouldn't be making a "3 hour drive" away. Most of the BZP members I might like to meet wouldn't be the sort to attend a LEGO convention either, I think, even if all of them could.

I would be interested in the vendors, but we'd have to see about the rest of it anyway.

I respect this article, but I'm hardly about to respond differently to BZP's newfound convention-calling-forth than I have been to any mentions of conventions past. I've considered going, if not seriously, and will no doubt end up doing whatever I was going to end up doing in the first place.

I don't buy music constantly but the last couple of things I got were Silversun Pickups' Swoon and Neck of the Woods.

great great great great great albums, especially Swoon

you should check out their first album Carnavas too if you haven't already

Haha, yes. I got Carnavas long before the other two. :P I actually liked it the best at that point. Haven't decided yet if I'll go for Pikul EP though... eventually, maybe.

oh heck yes get Pikul, it's fantastic

"Kissing Families" is one of their best songs, no question

    I probably will.

:P I know "Kissing Families" is great, and I kind of like "Comeback Kid" and "Sci-Fi Lullaby" too. I'm just not crazy about "Creation Lake", and I populate my library very selectively because I only buy CDs and want to be able to play them all the way through without wanting to skip tracks. Given how quickly I bought their other 3, one after the other, Pikul EP is probably ending up in my library too. I'm hesitant to get the vinyl of "Seasick" though.

  12. I don't buy music constantly but the last couple of things I got were Silversun Pickups' Swoon and Neck of the Woods.

, yes. I got Carnavas long before the other two. :P I actually liked it the best at that point. Haven't decided yet if I'll go for Pikul EP though... eventually, maybe.

If we're going back to that point, I bought Circa Survive's

On Letting Go at about the same time as Carnavas.

  13. Like everybody else, I have Random Access Memories pre-ordered.

My good sir, don't be silly, some of us didn't do that.

I don't buy music constantly but the last couple of things I got were Silversun Pickups'

Swoon and Neck of the Woods. I'm considering getting Pearl Diver by Malory and 99th Dream by Swervedriver now, but we'll see about that.

  14. For the record: I've noticed no (major) glitches in Inika Island Assault; the spacebar-based invincibility in Matoran Escape is almost the only way to beat Hakann's final level; and Hakann's "warping" is actually due to the fact that multiple Hakanns are placed in any given level that contains him, in different places (wherever a boss is needed).

Sands of Time is kind of shoddy and glitch-ridden.

:P If Strakk is sliding along the ground, he will morph into Takadox and start leaping around if you try to jump on him. Malum briefly turns into Mantax when destroyed.

I don't know how it's caused, but in the Barraki Platform Game, Kalmah will often be given no weapon, and his melee attack will simply be whacking opponents with his hand (socket). This actually happens more often than either his tentacle or the cheat-code frying pan, as a weapon.

With the slow reaction speed and "porous walls" of BIONICLE Mahri: Hewkii (the Jetix-hosted one, not "Command Toa Hewkii"), there are often glitch movements - Barraki will blink through walls or be pushed off the screen, enemies will appear in inexplicable parts of the level.

The Battle for Mata Nui practically is a glitch, and simply doesn't show up on most computers (at least the downloadable versions - I haven't played an online version).

Archived online versions of Piraka Attack often fail to display the Pirakas' dialogue.

Last and least glitchily, Command Toa Matoro is simply set up such that once you push certain blocks together, you can no longer go in a certain direction (sometimes making it impossible to complete a level/stage).

That's all I know, but I hope other people know more.

    :P I do enjoy a good glitch.

  15. What members do you look for around the forums, even besides your immediate friends? If you came back to BZP after a long absence, is there anyone you'd still look for, or still remember?

As little more than an occasional lurker these days, I don't know that many people around BZP now other than the staff. I've never met a member; I never go to LEGO events; I keep in touch rather badly. But I still recognize certain people around the forums, without trying to. Is this true for you, do you think you wouldn't forget anyone anyway, or would you forget with time?

  16. I see some good explanations and brief discussion of this trend up above me, so I guess I don't have overmuch to say with all of that having been said.

Personally, I don't think BZP can support as many flamewars as before and still remain a nice place (and yes, I realize it doesn't). Like it or not, BIONICLE is fading out for now, and the community here is shrinking - I know, I've been gone plenty myself. I'll be honest: I participated in heated topics back on the old forum, and I think they can add something to the forum, sometimes. With a smaller community and the site trying to streamline, though, we can't afford any leftover bitterness here, especially when the arguments would be over nothing nearly as large.

I welcome arguments, myself, and I argue plenty with my friends.

:P But that doesn't always work, and I'm a little glad there's so many fewer flamewar-type discussions here now... even if it so rarely affects me.

  17. Tens or >100 posts in COT would be nothing unusual for me on the old forum, if I decided to do that sort of thing.

:P I used to be very active in game topics, but I sort of gave up on everything a while ago.

Elsewhere in the forums, the most I've ever done would be 40 or so posts in a day, I think... I wasn't a huge presence.

  18. Either 2 or 3. I'm more or less BZP-dead, other than today; I don't follow any topics other than my own, anymore, and it's rare that I get comments on my profile or mentions elsewhere that might stir up notifications for me.

  19. I don't think I have any remaining nicknames, as Overlord is easy enough to remember and nobody talks about me anyway.

:P I mean, seriously, I never come up in discussion.

As for nicknames used for other people, I have plenty of those, especially for the few Mancers who are still floating around on the forum. I've probably forgotten some in the many times I've been gone, though...
