  1. So cool that people are still making new Galidor mocs with limited parts all these years later! The rose is a sweet idea too!
  2. Funnily enough, I started reading another history book that started off with ancient Sumer today. Hope your project brings some joy to you and your family even if you don't go the publishing route.
  3. Yeah, it was a big improvement over the pilot. It's been a long time since I've seen any of these, but I remember "Once Bitten, Quite Shy" being quite heavily criticized, so I'm a bit surprised you chose that as your favorite.
  4. Gang's on the loose, nothing you can do. I'd rate the Rahkshi at the bottom overall. Sad to them doing so well and the Vahki doing so poorly.

    Masks of Power

BZP isn't as active as it was even 5 years ago, but feel free to stick around!
  6. Uh oh 😜 It is a lot of stuff. All your creations look so good! You must really love your baby Yodas a lot. They seem like they're having so much fun with the things you make for them. The totoro outfit in particular is super cute! And the hot air balloon! I love decorations with a hot air balloon shape. I think the little pumpkins/eggplant are another of my favorites of the batch despite their simplicity. They look cuddly. Holiday hummingbirds are cute and suitably festive. Hope the cards go/went over well. (Depending on if they're for this year or last year.) I'm sure everyone enjoyed your gifts! I know I did. 🥹 I'm guessing they just picked a price point and tried to stick with it, which necessitated dropping certain details. As for the medical stuff...a lot of it goes over my head, but I'm really sorry you're having to live like this. 🫂 I wish you were able to enjoy all the yummy kitchen creations you've made to their fullest extent. And the idea of your own father intentionally ignoring your allergies to mess with you is particularly horrible. He's in the wrong there. Again, I don't know a lot about medical stuff, but I hope having a more accurate idea of what's going on makes things at least a little better for you going forward.
  7. There's a combination Pizza Hut/Taco Bell very close to the convention center/hotel that several of us (especially "Team Farm Animals") have frequented. I have many good memories there.
  8. I just finished up Dragon Quest 8. I can see why it's considered a classic RPG, even if the level curve is awful at a few points. Plan to mess around in the post-game for a while now.
  9. Another boring DJ mix on Soundcloud lol. https://soundcloud.com/crackmagazine/crack-mix-493-salamanda Edit: moved on to this one: https://soundcloud.com/user-643553014/living-gatlato-110323 It's a little better I guess.
  10. I'm a huge water guy. I gotta stay hydrated. I'll try the other stuff occasionally.
  11. I think it's the same amount of points no matter the set, so just a little bonus. I'm withholding full judgement until it gets here, but having a single login for all lego sites and the extra points from instructions are both nice.
  12. Feels weird to be matching the generic army villains against actual characters. I guess we're just voting on the sets.
  13. Thanks! It was a big move, and I'm very proud of myself for getting it, even if I'm not necessarily "using" it for my job at the moment. (Although a lot of stuff I'm doing at work was only covered in the masters level courses.)

    Bionicle Day

More like like Bionicle Long Night, am I right?😆
  15. So, it's been a while since my last blog entry, and I've made some big steps in life. Thought I'd drop in and talk about it a little. I took my 2nd year of master's classes fully online. It was a big change from living deeply within the campus culture like I had for the previous six years, but I finished it up and graduated for the 2nd time! It was a lot of work, especially trying to balance it with job applications and attempting to have some semblance of a social life, primarily with friends who lived far away from me. It paid off though, because I did get a job! I actually interned at this same agency last summer. I'm only a month or so in, but so far I'm very satisfied. I think this will be a job I can be fulfilled at. Getting a job also meant I had to move into my own place. Technically I lived away from my parents while at college, but this is the first time it's just me. No roommates. I picked the furniture, all the messes are mine, and I'm the only one cleaning them up. It's close enough to work for me to walk too, which I really enjoy. Still exploring the surrounding area, but I do like my apartment's location. I also went to two Brickfairs! (Maybe I should do a highlight post like the old days?) Both were great fun. Last year, I met some people from the SCBricks LUG, which I've since joined. That's been a great ride over the last year, meeting people and going to events. Just before Brickfair this year, I did my first local show with the LUG. It was completely different from a huge convention, just being in a little library, but I think we put on an excellent show! This year's Brickfair had me bringing @T-Dawg for his first time doing the full con. Hope he enjoyed it as much as I did. I miss a lot of the old friends I hung out with at past Brickfairs, but I love all the new people I've had the chance to meet! I'd also be remiss not to shoutout @Mushy the Mushroomfor really making my Brickfair! (As well as basically keeping this site alive.) And there's one observation I made at this show that really encapsulated it: I didn't have breadsticks at Brickfair this year, but I sure at a lot of Thai food. Sometimes old ways have to fall away to be replaced by something new and equally beautiful.
  16. Good times Right now I'm listening to https://soundcloud.com/ossx/unreleased-mix-vol-2 . It's less good times. Love that I can link to Soundcloud though.
  17. Some throwbacks in here. Hope all of them at least get a chance to see these.
  18. You're right Miles doesn't need a car. Morb should have been the driver instead.
  19. Wow, all of these are super good this time around! It's going to be a real tough time picking just one to vote for.
  20. Might wanna ask over in this topic or just contact Bulik directly.
  21. Understandable. If you want to stick with a lime/navy colour scheme, I think flipping it so the base is green and the printing is navy blue might work better. I could also see like a grey base with either navy or a greenish blue printing, trying to mimic the actual colors of the kanoka disc.
  22. It's a great design. I think a navy blue base would be great, but I think the lime green might might be a bit gaudy. (And remind us too much about what we don't like about Hahli 😝) I'm not an expert, but white might be better. I'm imagining something like the 2014 shirt.
  23. Man I think I missed the L or read it as an exclamation mark or something.
