  1. '04 titans all had gappy and awkward designs, IMO.
  2. Hi Tahu! Lol jk Maybe add some more black/ darkred? Narrower shoulders? less armor? Ironically, new Tahu looks exactly how Lhikan would, so I can't really say anything against that.
  3. That was just a consequence of 2004 being a 'prequel', unless you mean you want some part of the 2005 plot used in a different year? You know how we got Bionicle World, and Dark Hunters and all those other world-building books in 2005? Well it would have been cooler if the year focused on exploring these different regions in ministories. The sets we would have gotten could have been a lot of the other characters we've seen later on. The only good thing 2005 produced really are those books, Roodaka, and Time Trap.
  4. 2005 would have been better if it wasn't a prequel 2006 would have been better if we had metru heads and masks with pins 2007 wpuld have been better if limegreen pieces stayed together 2008 would have been better if we got cooler forms of the Toa Nuva and seen a surviving Makuta and Shadow Ahkomu 2009 would have been better if the world was built more 2010 would have been better if we got actual sets and the ending wasn't rushed 2010-2011 would have been better if the serials were continued and the story saw the promised civil war and revealing of Takanuva's true purpose 2015 would be better if more of the old characters returned
  5. I think 2006-2008 would have made a nice trilogy to wrap up the events unfolding in the Matoran Universe.
  6. I'll go with Mask of Conjuring or Mask of Emulation. Naybe the Faxxon too. Idk anything that lets ypu copy other beaing's powers or come up with your own is pretty scary.
  7. Fan canonization is/was a pretty big thing in Bionicle in G1. As it is the the only medium of continuing and "hole-filling" the old story, I think that it should be respected and attempts to regulate it should be made so good information goes on through.
  8. I think that we've witnessed Toa Inika/Mahri's + Takanuva's development throughout the whole story. Like they all had interesting personalities as Matoran, and these Matoran grew into hardened warriors and were changed by their experiences. Idk, they just seem more relatable. I was never too much of a fan of the Toa Nuva honestly. They were too... Flat. As a comparison, I see the Toa Nuva as classical heros (think Superman: perfect, noble, brave, "royal"), while the Toa Inika/Mahri/Takanuva are modern heroes ( think Spiderman: ordinary, casual, rose up to heroism under special circumstances). This makes the Mahri relatable, and IMO I feel that they are more or less the main characters.
  9. You're arguing stuff that has been argued before over and over again on different topics. To answer your question, no weapons will not be getting canonized. We held a poll to see if people wanted that to happen, and most chose no.
  10. I feel like he could use Patagonia./joke However, when if we get them as sets, I think they'll be Toa sized more or less.
  11. This... Actually makes sense. Noted and headcanoned.
  12. Hmm okay, didn't know that! Brings up another question/thought: did the Avtoran know about MN being a giant robot? I mean they were the first ones to build it, right? Or did they just work on the insides of it? Also, who did know about the robot? The Agori who worked on building it? Who even built this thing? WE NEED ANSWERS PEOPLE.
  13. This went overboard quickly. If you want to canonize this thing, and if you do, you're wuite mad in my opinion, feel free to refer to the Guilelines that instruct yo to have a discussion topic, then a poll, and then submit the answer. But don't be an to fellow fans that don't want this minor detail seen in canon.
  14. One question, mainly directed at the original explaination T1S provided: Didn't Makuta already know Mata Nui was a giant robot and all that? Cux you know, Tren Krom shared knowledge with Mutran, and Mutran delivered the info to Teridax.. I'm pretty sure Tren Krom flat out told them that MN was a big ol robot...
  15. I've always seen it as an armorless kraata kal, so Yeah.
  16. The point of clearing the island was to prevent the proto-made plants and such from becoming an invasive species on the planet the GSR landed on.Seriously? I had no idea... Got a quote or sumthin?
  17. The first half, yes. The second half, 50% soft-reboot. 2010 and onward, no.
  18. I think it'd be kind of cool if we combined names of the Toa Metru and Mahri, since they were the most focused on characters from Mata Nui other than the Toa, Takua and Makuta. Fire: Jalama or Vakler Water: Hahama or Nokli Air: Mangu or Kotau Stone: Onekii or Hewwa Earth: Whearu or Nupnua Ice: Nuoro or Matju Yes I know they sound ridicilous. Honestly, I'd be happy with ether Metru, Mahri or brand new names.
  19. Non-binary identities have been found in ancient Egyptians, Native Americans, and Indians. I don't know how your assumption that it's something made up by a Western minority either came to be or is relevant to this conversation, except to belittle those who identify as non-binary themselves. Well, there's no reason to be breaking out the scare quotes. What you described is a reason for the continued exclusion of non-binary identities. It is not a valid justification. That's the big difference in the conversation here—just because there's reasoning behind something doesn't automatically make it valid. In this case, one of the shortcomings of a profit-increasing move is the exclusion of specific minorities. And it's not just BIONICLE that falls prey to this either; it's present in basically every slice of modern media. That's why transgender and non-binary people feel as if they have to resort to headcanons to see themselves in the media they enjoy, which is hardly an offense. It's not a scare-quote mate, it makes sense from an economic perspective. And pardon me if I focus on that too much, but it is very reasonable from a company standpoint that a lot of people completely ignore. And yes I forgot about early human civilizations, I do apologize for that, but it's still a very small percentage of their overall population, I think that fact stays. Also you mentioned that transgender and nonbinary people enjoy the media even though it does not include people of their own gender, right? So here's a thought: if said people can connect to characters that are male and female and still like the media, why does it matter if there are no trans/nonbinary characters in said media if those people seem to be happy with the media? Then again, there's artistic license: I doubt every artist will want to complicate things by including various genders other than the two binary ones, and that's just their own freedom. I mean if someone goes ahead and makes a show with several (aka more than 2 biological ones) genders, do you really think it would draw in a large audience? My guess is probably not. To adress reasoning and justification: there are various justifications for not including other genders depending from what point of view you are observing the story from. Realistically, no mainstream production will play around with gender stuff in order to satisfy a minority of fans/customers, and while it may suck for some people, in the grand scheme of things it doesn't make that much of a difference. I'd like to add that it's still taboo in media, especially children media, to touch upon any sort of issues that deal with gender and sexuality. I mean LoK pulled it off, but that series was at an end, and was not as mainstream by the time 4th season came around, since it was after all broadcasted online.
  20. I mean yeah, but votes of several people that picked the Rode, Kakama, and several other masks are technically nulled since these masks were confirmed that they couldn't be used. So idk, I mean we could redo the tie-breaker too I guess that would be much simpler. What are the other masks that these 4 Toa posses again?
  21. Actuallythis is true, when armor is in "standby" mode it looks veeertry similar to original Nuva armor.
  22. Well I think that if he feels that it has limited users (and I feel like it should, along with the Mask of Charisma) then we should probably either re-do the poll, as it has been messy since it's inception, or pick the next one with most votes. I personaly think it should be redone.
