I've got some friends that want one ^^;

I like the idea of printing the design in a yellow/gold color. I think a deep purple would look good as a shirt color to go with that. Something like this.

"A swarm of scarabax beetles scurried across a sand dune, in search of their evening meal. On most evenings, this hunt was uneventful. The beetles would feed and then return to their underground tunnels. But this night was destined to be different."

 

 

I know the contest doesn't technically have a theme this year, but I still wanted to do a 2009-based design.

And as an aside, I can't make out any details on 1 at all, which surely won't do it any favors in voting...

It's a black design on transparent background.

 

Are there some things that just… use a black background for transparent images for some reason?

 

Chrome puts transparencies on a dark gray background, though it seems to be a different shade on different platforms: on desktop the gray is light enough that I can still see your design just fine, but I just checked on mobile and the gray is so dark you can barely see the image :/

And assuming it's okay for me to post this, here's a link to the inverted version (for a better idea of what it would look like printed in a lighter color on a darker shirt, which I think would look best).

Dang, didn't see this until today (was expecting it to get front-paged). I do like both suggested color schemes, though.

Man, the winning design looks awesome (as well as the other two). Too bad I can't make it to Brickfair this year... I don't suppose there's any other way to get my hands on one of the shirts, is there?

Man, and here I was, under the impression that I was the only person who still played/owned the Quest for Makuta board game. For those of you who have not played it: it is awesome.

 

I'm looking forward to hearing the other trophy winners, as well as just seeing pictures from the convention.

I thought I'd mention something, for those members of the club who haven't noticed: on Lego Cuusoo, there's a 'Bring Back Bionicle' suggestion, and it already has over 300 supporters. So, if you really want to help bring Bionicle back, I'd suggest making a Cuusoo account (it's quick, easy, and free), and supporting it! Lego considers ideas once they have 10,000 supporters (though they most likely look at them somewhat before they reach that number), so let's get on it!

I'm sorry, but I don't really see how you can join a club, then just start insulting it (and, by extension, the members of it). Other than you, it seems to me that the people who joined the club support it, and those who haven't don't; that's kind of how these things work. Is there some reason that you don't like the club? And if so, why did you join?

I'll join. Though my hopes of Bionicle coming back are low, I'd still like to see it happen. And it won't if we don't do anything, right?

This is great. Just amazing, Greg. I'm having a hard time not using the words 'win' or 'epic'(I prefer to sound more dignified). Really wish it could have been a movie, or at least canon.

 

Just two questions:

 

1)Did you have any thoughts as to what the title of this movie was going to be?

 

2)Did something happen to Click, or is he such a small part that you were going to add him in later?(Or was it another possibility which I did not think of?)
