    Very alien with the eyes and mouth. One can't help but think of the Xenomorphs in comparison.

    Funny thing is that I didn't really own the game until a friend of mine on Steam gave me the game as a gift last month. Playing it for the first time made me realize why I don't play these sorts of fighting games. But regardless, I had some funny observing some character designs and building stuff out of them.     Well, I'm only building mechas, and BIONICLE only has the Exo-Toa and Boxor (which I will be building once I get time).

    Gallery Basically ever since LDD updated with Invasion from Below pieces (mainly the cockpit piece), I've been having ideas on mechas from various series.

    Animation is amazing, and it was a nice touch reusing sound effects from the Mata Nui Online Game. I really liked that little part about the flipped Akaku, that sort of thing always bothers me when it happens in various BIONICLE media.

    So yeah, with the announcement of the English dub of the series, I guess I should show related creations I've made over the past half year.     Umbra- heroes tralalala~~Yeah, Umbra! Quick, somebody make a Hero version of him that's compatible with the skates!! Well, Umbra had 2-wheel skates per foot, so the Hero version would need skates matching that style.

    Haven't been building IRL MOCs, so I dissembled the last one I made and figured something out of the grey pieces. Originally it was just going to be shoes, but I got an idea of using some wheels. Gallery

    I'm impressed how you used the Speedor shells as heads, very cool.

    Tacit Ronin's legs were kind of interesting; I used the Hero Factory 1.0 legs and leg shells backwards to match the actual Jaeger's legs and added more pieces to fill it in.

    Thinking way back, Toa of Art, GaliGee, Nova Nuhvok, and Rahi Zaku come to my mind. On the other hand, I'm probably too obscure here, which is amusing because I almost didn't become a BS01 moderator because I didn't have a BZP account (I confused premiere membership with regular membership).

    As I said on the first post, some weapons I won't make because the transformation mechanisms are completely beyond me (at the moment), so it's very unlikely I will build them.

    Not really, because Throwbots/Slizer and Roboriders didn't last long enough for any kind of trends to even be perceived. The topic title is phrased a bit poorly — the concern is not that Hero Factory is becoming more BIONICLE-like in its design, which I'm sure would actually be perceived as a good thing by many BIONICLE fans, but rather that it's going down the same path that BIONICLE (allegedly) followed in the post-Inika years. In other words, the same basic parts palette being utilized each year rather than retiring still-useful parts and replacing them with new parts to provide a superficial sense of variety. My bad, I realised the title might cause some confusion only a little after starting this thread, sorry about that. I wasn't so much as confused as just simply begging the question.
