  1. A mecha with wings, pincer claws, and digitigrade legs.
  2. Was it one mobile suit with 5 cockpits? Were they all jammed into one cockpit? Did they each have their own mobile suit? I must know!
  3. Speaking of Thundercracker, Skywarp, and the coneheads... if my Starscream project goes well, I'm most likely going to expand the roster and paint the High Grade Harute as Thundercracker, the High Grade Kyrios as Skywarp, and the High Grade Archer as another of the Seekers. (Don't know which one that'll be just yet.) I love seeing new paintschemes for Gunpla kits, too. I once saw a Unicorn kit painted to look like the Voltron mech, and one of Optimus Prime. I guess I just don't like the whole "child soldiers" aspect of IBO. The opening is extremely manly, though, and I love it. That sounds like a good plan. As a Transformers fan and a Gundam fan, I love it. Also, one thing on my bucket list is to get a Unicorn Gunpla and paint it like an older main character Gundam, like the RX-78-2 or the Mk. II. Yeah I can understand that the whole child soldiers plot isn't for everyone, but I like seeing them rise up and "raise their flag" to win the day. And speaking of Raise Your Flag, it's one of my all-time favorite anime openings! Though the actual MV for it is weird, they're all wearing wolf mascot masks. RAISE YOUR FLAG [Keep screaming,] [Keep screaming,] [Keep screaming,] [until your voice gives out!]
  4. Yeah, I remember you mentioning your Arios Starscream, probably in "What Are You Thinking?". I'd probably do Thundercracker or Skywarp myself, or maybe even one of the coneheads. But I love seeing Gundam kits painted as mechas from other franchises. I once saw mockups of the RX-78-2 Gundam in a bunch of different mecha-related color schemes like Optimus Prime, Mazinger Z, Getter Robo, Voltes V, etc (yes, it was from the Philippines). Also, I can understand if IBO isn't your thing, but I'm enjoying it so far myself. I've heard that the second season is where it all falls apart, but I'll see for myself when I get there. Haven't touched my PS4 in a while, but I'm down to check this one out. While I'm more into games that actually center around the Gundam universe/lore/etc, I do think it's cool that they actually made a game about Gunpla. Makes me wish Gunpla Battles from the Gundam Build Fighters/Divers series were real. I'd be all over it.
  5. I don't think we have a Gundam or Gunpla thread here so I'll make it myself. Anything related to the Mobile Suit Gundam brand and franchise is fair game here as long as it's safe for BZP. Talk about your favorite Gundam anime/manga/comic/novel/video game/magazine/cave painting! Show off your Gundam cosplays! Even cardboard boxes that say "GUNDAM" on them are welcome! (I've done it myself!) Show us your Gunpla, straight builds and custom builds of all scales and grades are welcome! Talk about Gunpla customization techniques! Got a cool backstory for your custom Gunpla? Share it here! Post Gundam memes. Funny Gundam pictures/videos. Gundam fanart. Gundam headcanon theories. Whatever. Any and all Gundam and Gunpla content is welcome here as long as it's within BZP rules. Anyway, about me: Grew up with Gundam Wing, G Gundam, and Gundam SEED during the Toonami days. I used to build G and some Wing models back in the day, but since I was a kid I just played with them like I would any other action figure. Got back into Gunpla when I was 12/13 after a trip to the Philippines and the massive popularity of Gundam SEED kits over there. Prompted me to start watching Universal Century stuff. Didn't watch too much Gundam anime (there's a lot I still need to see) but I was pretty consistently into Gunpla from then until I was 18 or so. Just got back into it recently and started watching Iron Blooded Orphans (I've heard the fandom whine about this one, but I'm still pretty early into it and I'm liking it so far). Also getting into the Build Fighters series, which is pretty fun.
  6. I know my BZP persona is a Plasma Toa (who was originally a Fire Toa but I retconned him because of some stuff), but realistically, I don't think I'd wanna be Plasma. If I'm limited to the original six, I'd go with Stone. I always thought Po-Wahi was the coolest region, stone is a pretty useful element to be able to control, and in retrospect, I do like the brown sets. If I'm allowed anything, then most likely Iron, but I'd have to watch my back for Makuta at all times.
  7. Listenin' to this classic song like an angry woman...
  8. So it's almost 4 AM where I am. I woke up at 3, and just for kicks, I looked up people from my high school year on Facebook. Most of my reactions were "yeah you pretty much look the same except with a beard" or something. For me, ever since maybe sophomore year of college, high school was always generally one big mishmash of vague memories with arbitrary things dividing each year. But that experience of looking people up and seeing their faces again brought back a flood of memories, mostly meh or flat-out bad ones. Long story short, my entire middle school and my high school year both had near-identical hiveminds which went against everything I stood for. I had put up with so much harassment in middle school over it, so I ended up spending at least 80% of my time in high school flying under the radar so that I could avoid having to put up with any more. College ended up much happier for me, so my time there made me forget about high school for a long time.
  9. Nokama when she was still a Toa. Outside of Bionicle, Julia Chang from Tekken, Elena from Street Fighter, and Tifa Lockhart from Final Fantasy VII.
  10. Loyalty and creativity. Loyalty because of the way the Toa have always worked together as a team. Even when Tahu and Gali got at each other's throats in the movie, they still looked out for each other in the end, especially when Tahu got infected. Creativity because I became pretty resourceful with my Bionicle toys.
  11. Blue-haired anime chick with a pretty sweet lookin' headset. Looks familiar but I can't put my finger on who she is or what anime/game she would be from.
  12. I've been thinking about getting a Zoids model kit, but I'm still on the fence. Do you have any recommendations? Sorry bud, I'm not the right man to ask. Only Zoid model kit I ever owned was a Command Wolf from 2002 when I was 8 (one of the old school wind-up ones from when Toonami used to show Zoids). It broke in storage in the basement. I guess just pick a favorite Zoid and start with a model of that. Like wolves? Get a Command Wolf. Like T-Rexes and/or Godzilla? Get a Gojulas. Got a favorite character from the anime? Get a model of their Zoid. The higher quality Zoid models tend to go for upwards of $50 everywhere I've looked. But I recently got a bunch of old school mini Zoids gashapon figures from an anime shop in my dad's current home town. They literally have a Zoids gashapon machine from 2002 with a good number of capsules still in it. Got a few old school 80s Zoids and two unarmored Liger Zeros. Next time I go visit my dad I'll probably go get more. Even as a guy in my 20s, I'm not above making them stand across from each other while making pew-pew-pew laser sounds.
  13. I started rewatching Zoids: Chaotic Century recently. Starts off a little weak, and it's a bit predictable, but it has charm. Plus, I love the setting and the concept of Zoids themselves. I hate Van. He's a whiny little punk. If I remember correctly, he does get better later on, but I'm not there yet. I'm indifferent to Fiona. Moonbay is pretty cool, except for that stupid song she always sings. So far, Irvine is my favorite character. I love that he has the same English voice actor as Domon Kasshu from G Gundam. I like to imagine his Command Wolf doing a Shining Finger (shining claw?) while Irvine delivers the "my love, my anger, and all of my sorrow" speech. I have an anime convention to go to in a couple months. Absolutely for sure I'm gonna track down a Zoid model and customize the heck out of it.
  14. I was a wee little lad of 8. When I was 7-8 I was a Lego Club member who regularly went on the forums. I saw this dude from the Bionicle forum always sign his posts as "P.S. Takea, member of BZPower" or something like that. I was like "what's a BZPower?" so on a whim, I typed "www.bzpower.com" in my Windows 98 Internet Explorer browser, and my life was changed forever.
  15. The bacon pancakes song from Adventure Time. (My dad made pancakes so I just felt like it)
  16. Congrats, you now own the front passenger seat of a car. Just the front passenger seat. Not even the rest of the car. Just the seat. But hey, every time you ride this car that somebody else owns and has complete control over, you always got shotgun. I wish for both He-Man's Power Sword and Lion-O's Sword of Omens.
