  1. IC: Fang - Village of Kaam "If there may be a threat to our safety, I want to see it," Fang said stubbornly. IC: Canvas - Hallways Canvas was still a little behind from her distractions, not least of which was a loud greeting that echoed through the school. So when Canvas caught up with Melody, she found her friend talking with another. She didn't much like the look of him. "Hey, who's this?" Canvas said as she approached. IC: Garrotte - Gym Maze (Team 2) "Yes," she agreed, following Vlad back to the intersection where this all began.
  2. IC: Fang - Village of Kaam Fang followed closely behind Reach, intent on seeing what was going on. IC: Canvas - Gym She shook herself back to the present. "Sorry... what'd you have in mind? Everyone's in the assignment, so... oh, so maybe the people outside will be good to talk to?" IC: Tube - Gym Maze (Team 1/5) The blast that sent the Energy Hound away dragged Tube and their mace along after, ultimately sending the weapon skittering in a few pieces down an alleyway. Tube hardly had time to process this as the hound was on its feet again and clamping down on Tube's arm. They stared at it in a daze, and then their powers activated, slowing its motions as they started pounding its face with their bare hand. "Bad dog, bad dog!" they shouted. IC: Garrotte - Gym Maze (Team 2) Garrotte pulled her legs in, listening to the crackle of the remaining shards in her joints. Then in one smooth motion she got to her feet, wielding her blade. "It seems we have been neglecting the task at hand." IC: Reda - Gym Maze (Team 8) Reda let out a gasp as she felt the stinger graze her body, her real body. Pain radiated from the wound, and Reda tried to push the shock at an actual injury away. Instead, she grasped the stinger and kicked off the carapace, trying to yank it in an even more unnatural direction.
  3. IC: Garrotte - Gym Maze (Team 2) She nodded slowly without taking her eyes from her work. "The thought had occurred to me, yes. I just haven't found the... solution yet." IC: Reda - Gym Maze (Team 8) Reda reeled back a little ungracefully, drawing her whip in with her. This was going to be a tough nut to crack. At the last second, she leapt into a backflip over the stinger, folding her legs for flight midair, and took off directly upward. She unfolded herself almost as quickly as she had taken to the air, drawing her dagger out to land on the Rahi's tail or, at worst, it's back.
  4. IC: Fang - Village of Kaam "Time is..." Fang began before being interrupted by the display. Instead, he folded his arms. "No, this is us." IC: Hoto - Village of Kaam Hoto was startled by voices and footsteps echoing down from the village. She stood up quickly, backing further into the corner as panic began to set in. No no no, she said I would be safe! In a brief moment of clarity, she remembered what to do, racing first to the table and then to the hidden hatch that opened, accompanied by a soft flurry of clicks. She blindly slapped at the wall inside, eventually finding the button on this end that sealed her from the outside world. Her every nerve was electrified as she waited in the small closet, her only companion the rapid rush of her own breathing. IC: Tube - Gym Maze (Team 1/5) Tube whirled around at the sound, expecting some unfortunate team to have already stumbled upon them. Instead, they saw a few spiny puppies, one of which was already bearing down on their Master. Tube jumped in to intercept with first their mace, and then their own body with a defiant, "No!" IC: Garrotte - Gym Maze (Team 2) The going was slow, and Garrotte found herself wondering about what was going on outside, and more specifically, with the rest of her friends. IC: Tear - Gym Maze (Team 3) Tear froze as sounds of crashing and snarling interrupted his scheming. Looking down the wall, he barely caught the tail end of one of the last Kavinika's as it vanished inside. "This place just became a lot less safe," he said to Floor before quickly throwing himself over the side, snapping into flight mode just before hitting the ground to slow himself. He burst through the broken remnants of the door, taking in the mass of Rahi in which his companions were entombed. He drew his swords and charged in, stabbing towards the closest of the Kavinika, currently bearing down on Door. IC: Reda - Gym Maze (Team 8) All thoughts of pursuit were abruptly stopped as Reda found herself confronted with a toothy, venomous monster. Her dodge instincts kicked in to avoid the spray, then she countered by unfurling one of her whips to snap at the stinger.
  5. IC: Reda - Gym Maze (Team 8) Well, this was a conundrum. It wasn't often that Reda had to deal with someone running away from her, let alone someone... advantageous to her success. And so when she came to an intersection with no clear signs of where Pyle could have gone, she simply stopped, looking back and forth between the three options. An idle tune followed her motions along the wind. In the end, she decided he was in too much of a hurry to change direction and continued along the path straight ahead. "What has you so afraid that you risk further harm to yourself?" she asked the empty alley coldly.
  6. IC: Tube - Gym Maze (Team 1 & 5) Tube watched the other team walk away in search of their fellows. "Just let me know when you want me to mash them," they said to their Master. IC: Reda - Gym Maze (Team 8) Reda sighed deeply as she turned toward the alley Pyle had disappeared into. "Stay close you two," she muttered to Slif and Waiata. She showed no more of a hurry than usual as she walked down the alley, watching the shadows carefully. "You're going to get yourself hurt out here," Reda called uncharacteristically loudly, "And if you get hurt, you can be sure I'll kill you when we get out of here." IC: Garrotte - Gym Maze (Team 2) She propped herself up with her newly freed hand and wiggled the other's fingers to show Vlad. "No need. If I could just find my sword, I'll help you..." She twisted uncomfortably trying to find where she dropped it. "There." She nodded toward the opposite corner of the room where the gleam of metal could barely be seen through the light streaming from the broken ceiling.
  7. IC: Tube - Gym Maze (Team 1 & 5) The rubbery one wasn't hurting them anymore. Tube allowed the mace to fall back by their side as they returned to Thurstaz. "What do we do now, Master?" IC: Tear - Gym Maze (Team 3) "No, you're right," Tear sighed, moving away from the wall. "We are in no shape to take on two fully prepared teams. One weakened team however, might be worth taking." IC: Reda - Gym Maze (Team 8) "On the contrary my dear meatshield, our mission is to ensure she..." Reda trailed off as she turned around and noticed Pyle slipping off. "Where do you think you're going?" she snapped.
  8. Oh, was it this one? I remember seeing it while looking for inspiration. Honestly didn't think it was Lego because of those differences and, well, the Fire Mech looking pretty terrible. The Water Strider and Lightning Jet look pretty good though. Also found this Fire Mech that apparently was from a VIP building event in September.
  9. With a bit of effort, I've managed to collect the three Ninjago Movie vehicle polybags released thusfar, the Quake Mech, the Ice Tank, and the Mecha Dragon. But since it's been about four months since the Mech Dragon offer ended and six since the movie came out, I have to wonder if Lego will be continuing the collection with the Water Strider, Lightning Jet, and Fire Mech. Anyone heard of any plans for these, or if not, anyone have any good ideas for how to put them together? I have some of my own, but I wouldn't mind a second opinion.
  10. IC: Tube - Gym Maze (Team 1 & 5) Tube continued staring blankly, holding their mace aloft as if they had forgotten they were holding it. IC: Tear - Gym Maze (Team 3) Tear nodded and said nothing more as he watched what he could of the battle, though his fingers drumming on the wall indicated his impatience. IC: Reda - Gym Maze (Team 8) "They're in here somewhere," Reda called back softly without stopping, "and I'm itching for an opponent."
  11. IC: Tube - Gym Maze (Team 1 v Team 5) Tube's all-in attack didn't leave much room for avoiding their opponent's attacks, so they went reeling back as a rubbery fist caught them under the faceplates. They were just starting to pull themselves up, holding the mace high when they heard their Master's voice. "Hold!" "So... we aren't going to mash them?" Tube asked, staring at Thurstaz blankly. IC: Tear - Gym Maze (Team 3) "We wait it out?" IC: Reda - Gym Maze (Team 8) "Everyone is my underlings. That's what happens when you're the best." With that, she turned around and continued through the alleyway. "I thought you wanted to find someone to fight."
  12. IC: Tube - Gym Maze (Team 1 v Team 5) The brawl below was getting messy, and Tube's gauntlet flicked back and forth between the two attackers uncertainly. What if they hit Master? Maybe it was time to help more directly. Lowering their gauntlet and drawing their haphazard mace, Tube leapt from the building with a battle cry, swinging the mace down with all their momentum toward Luffy. Perhaps it wasn't the stealthiest approach, but with the club coming from one direction and a mace from the other, Luffy would have a hard time choosing. IC: Garrotte - Gym Maze (Team 2) Garrotte flexed her fingers, watching as the material that seemed rock solid moments ago flexed and stretched with the motion until one by one her talons found purchase and ripped through. With another soft grunt and a resounding crack, her hand ripped free of the prison. She looked at it for a moment, almost smiling with accomplishment until she realized her legs were still trapped. "One down..." IC: Reda - Gym Maze (Team 8) Reda folded her arms and smirked. "You agreed to this as well. Besides, I like seeing my underlings show a little... initiative." IC: Tear - Gym Maze (Team 3) "All seems to be..." Tear paused as he noticed a cloud of dust spiraling up between buildings, as if scattered by some great wind. He pointed it out to his companion. "What do you reckon is going on over there?" IC: Canvas - Gym The rest of Kri's explanation went unheard as Canvas took a few steps toward the sheer wall, looking up at it curiously. A whole city inside the gym... she wondered what was going on inside. Probably nothing good, judging by the team outside.
  13. IC: Fang - Forest of Kaam "Oh, I didn't realize we were inconveniencing you." Fang folded his arms and his eyes burned into Reach. IC: Tube - Gym Maze (Team 1 v Team 5) After the first bolt missed, Tube turned their attention on the other, mucus-covered Rahkshi who was fighting their Master and fired another two from the rooftops. IC: Canvas - Gym "Just, uh... checking out the assignment. What is that thing in the middle of the Gym?" IC: Garrotte - Gym Maze (Team 2) "Well, we beat that team, didn't we? As long as you keep Diode safe, we still have a chance," she said with her usual cold detachment IC: Reda - Gym Maze (Team 8) "All I want to do is win, and if you go off and get yourself killed that does hurt my chances. You don't want to be responsible for that." OOC: Tube attacking Booger
  14. IC: Fang - Forest of Kaam "We have no contention with the Toa here," Fang spat, quickly growing tired of the Hand's attitude toward them. "And we certainly have never see those before. And they took our friends, so if you're done with your posturing we'd like to get back there." IC: Hoto - Village of Kaam Hoto remained still as a statue to listen to every last echo of Johmak's steps back to the airship. Then, there was nothing, a silence broken only by the sounds of life in the forest. With soft, shuddering breaths, she sat down in a corner of the room to wait. Father, are you there? IC: Tear - Gym Maze (Team 3) Tear alighted atop the indicated tower and looked down just long enough to ensure Door was taking the hollow suit inside. Then, he turned his attention upwards and outwards to await their guests. Someone had to be out there. IC: Canvas - Gym The trio arrived at the Gym, only to be faced with a sheer wall. In the narrow space between the inner and outer walls, a few Rahkshi were picking themselves up. "What's going on here?" IC: Garrotte - Gym Maze (Team 2) Unaware of Vlad's treacherous thoughts, Garrotte watched him chip away at her own slime with blank eyes. She really should devise a way to get out faster next time. "Be careful," she muttered, shifting with her spare hand to give him a better angle, "That's my favorite hand." IC: Reda - Gym Maze (Team 8) "You're lucky they didn't find you first. What are you doing this far out?" Reda said in a harsh whisper. OOC: Canvas interacting with Team 9
  15. So, as you all have noticed, the game has been pretty dead. But while the GMs get things up and running, I thought I'd do a quick rundown of what's going on and who's waiting on who. 16. Well guys, it's about time to update the shop with some of my latest creations, and there's some good ones. Another commission for Llortor first, Yotun's Aegir blade. Second, possibly the most recognizable mask on Deviantart, Toa Kalikiki's Mask of Binding. And last of all, the big one, the G1 Mask of Creation itself, taking some cues from the G2 version. Unfortunately it's not quite available on Shapeways yet, but it will be, and I'll let you guys know when that will be. Hope you guys enjoy, and let me know if you want a mask for yourself! Little plug for my friend, but for Brappy the 42 Rahkshi spines have now been created by my good friend vahki6. Be sure to check those out!
  17. IC: Garrotte - Gym Maze (Team 2) "I... seem to be a little stuck." She'd been trying to pry at the crystal with her one free hand, the other being tightly fixed to her waist. IC: Reda - Gym Maze (Team WSPR) "Right, we should get moving." Reda starts walking off after Pyle. IC: Tear - Gym Maze (Team 3) Tear looked around for a moment before indicating a taller building not far from where they were. "We'll set up over there. Floor, you're with me." He hops into flight mode and flies toward it.
  18. IC: Garrotte - Gym Maze (Team 2 v Team 9) It wasn't very often that Garrotte was lucky. After all, here she was lying on the ground wrapped in her own crystallized slime. But she did consider herself fortunate that her opponent hadn't taken advantage of that fact. And, as the footsteps on the floor below abruptly vanished and Icarax's voice boomed through her head, Garrotte realized the Rahkshi wouldn't have the chance to come back. She lay there on the top floor quietly pleased with herself before remembering there was still an assignment going on. "Um, a little help up here?" Garrotte spoke up, hoping her voice wouldn't carry far beyond the intersection below where her team presumably remained. IC: Tube - Gym Maze (Team 1 v Team 5) As mentioned before, stealth isn't Tube's strong suit. So it was little surprise that as they "crept" along a rooftop, looking down at their prey, one of them happened to look back up at them. "Hey guys! Are you ready to fight?" Tube froze atop the roof, somehow hoping that if they remained still, they could fade out of sight. But they were no Chameleon Rahkshi. Down below, Thurstaz was moving into action, but his first strike with the trident missed, and two of them were already turning around to fight back. "Don't hurt my Master!" Tube shouted as they fired a bolt from Thornpierce in the general direction of Luffy. IC: Reda - Gym Maze (Team 8) "Rolling?" Reda smirked. "Where exactly were you planning on rolling to?" IC: Tear - Gym Maze (Team 3) Satisfied with Floor's response, Tear looked to Door while quite obviously avoiding Crate. "Is that alright with you?"
  19. IC: Garrotte - Gym Maze There was no time to react as a panel opened in her opponent's armor and released a hail of small pellets. Garrotte only had a moment to briefly ponder just how bad pellets could hurt before her eyes burned with a flash of light that seemed to surround her. She tried to stagger back, but her entire midsection refused to respond, and she went tumbling back into a wall. As the spots slowly cleared from her vision, Garrotte could make out little more than smoke and the gleaming crystalline goo that was hardening around her waist. "Oh..." IC: Tube - Gym Maze Tube stared blankly at Thurstaz and began playing with their glove. IC: Tear - Gym Maze "Only if they are approaching from above as well," Tear replied, "But if we are vigilant, even they wouldn't get a jump on us."
  20. My unfortunate victim this year was Kanohi Ko-llector, who wanted a story with action, mystery, Dark Hunters, the Guys, and other underused characters. Unfortunately you've only got this. Hope you enjoy friend, and Happy New Year! ------- “Amphibax!” Before the order was even given, Amphibax had abandoned his spar and taken to the hallways of the Odina Fortress. It was unwise to keep the Shadowed One waiting. He could only hope his master’s thoughts would be kind to him and arrange the labyrinthian hallways to speed his arrival. Whatever the case, he quickly found himself before the throne and dropped to a kneel almost before coming to a stop. “Your orders, sir?” he hissed. The Shadowed One gazed down on him with a discomforting smile. “Amphibax, how kind of you to join us.” For the first time, the Hunter noticed the two other beings present. Both were short like Matoran, but that was where the similarities ended. Their arms stretched far beneath their wide shoulders, almost dragging around their stubby feet tipped with vicious black claws. The one kneeling at his right was red and orange, with a long, sneering face that resembled a Skakdi skull. The one at his right, grey with red arms and a naked face. Amphibax made his observations within seconds, not daring to take his eyes from his master for longer, but he still wasn’t quick enough to avoid a smirk from the right. The Shadowed One loomed over him, pausing for the precise amount of time it would take Amphibax’s sharp mind to piece everything together. “Before you are two new recruits, Urhan and Anla. You are to prove them. Is that a problem?” Amphibax knew better than to grumble. It was a necessary task that all participated in, however there were few that enjoyed training the rookies. “No sir. It would be my… privilege to accompany them.” The Shadowed One leaned back in his chair looking satisfied. He tapped a crystal overhanging his throne, the cue for the spindly Recorder to come stumbling from behind its desk with a tablet which The Shadowed One took. “I have chosen you for a reason, Amphibax. Your… abilities may be useful in ensuring the mission is completed. You know what happens if it is not.” He went on without pause, holding out the tablet to Amphibax. “A weapon shipment just left Xia bound for Destral. It would be a shame if the cargo were to never arrive.” Amphibax nodded. “And, these two?” The Shadowed One waved him off. “You will have time to become acquainted, but that ship will not wait.” The Hunter nodded again, quickly rising and turning back into the fortress. The grinning one followed as his heels, while his companion took a moment to realize they had been left behind. Amphibax didn’t make it easy for them to catch him with their short legs. However, he did stay close enough to catch the jeers the other Hunters sent their way. Apparently these two recruits had a reputation. That seemed pivotal to the mission, whether beneficial or ominous Amphibax couldn’t tell. “Oh no, where is our hero to stop Bad Guy?” called a Skakdi Amphibax knew only as Sting. The toothy one snarled at her, and she gave her own smug grin back until she caught sight of the other one. “Oh, there he is, behind as always. So much for Good Guys always win.” Fortunately neither stopped for long to answer her proddings. Amphibax wouldn’t have appreciated the delay for what had become a form of greeting among many Hunters. As they worked to get the boat ready to sail, the silence broke into friendly banter between the recruits. Amphibax saw little value in it and his thoughts turned to the mission. The Brotherhood wouldn’t allow their shipment to be taken aboard any Xian ship, so one of their own. They often followed a particular schematic. Amphibax already knew where the cargo hold would be located, and several entry points. The most useful would be… “Quiet type then?” Amphibax looked up into Urlan’s Skakdi grin. “Quiet keeps me alive. And you, if we’re lucky.” Urlan leaned up against the side of the boat. “Relax, all we need to do is break in, steal some slag, and get out.” “Weren’t you listening? This is a Brotherhood of Makuta ship. A floating fortress with guards and security measures at every turn. Getting in and getting out will be far from easy. Unless… you happen to be holding out on me.” If possible, Urlan’s grin widened. “Well, I’d never! I only thought you’d never ask! Anla?” His red and grey companion was significantly quieter than he was, simply sitting back against the side with a haughty look, but at the mention of his name he straightened and pulled a two-pronged weapon from his back. “Urlan knows well of my abilities, and as much as I would like to demonstrate, for the sake of our ship I will content myself with a simple description. This is an Echo Fork, of which the merest tap on any surface will produce enormous shock waves.” Amphibax nodded. He had heard of such devices. So much for sneaking aboard. “And you?” Urlan twirled a pair of orange claws in his hands and with a sudden motion raised one toward the sky and charged a purple bolt. Amphibax’s whip snapped around his wrist and pulled it downward, redirecting the bolt into the water where it disappeared with a fizz. Urlan rubbed his wrist and grinned, but he found it much less funny as Amphibax pounced atop him and snarled. “Are you trying to give away our position?!” “Relax, it was just…” he suddenly found Amphibax’s claw clamped around his toothy maw. Urlan grumbled and tried to pull him off, but Amphibax was firm as his eyes searched the horizon. Anla turned, and after a moment Urlan picked himself up quietly. There was a dark shape in the distance belching smoke. The Brotherhood ship. Quickly, Amphibax forced the others low again. “No more mistakes,” he whispered. “One more thing,” Urlan said with a sneer. “What is it?” “Call me Bad Guy.” Amphibax stared at him. “Bad Guy?” Anla looked down at his friend. “A nickname the Hunters call him. He seems to have mistaken it for a codename.” “Bad Guy is a great codename!” Amphibax looked questioningly at Anla. “Bad Guy. And that makes you…” He sighed. “Yes, Good Guy.” ------- After making the necessary preparations, Amphibax led the recruits over the side of the boat. He entered the water with hardly a ripple, while they were decidedly less graceful. Hopefully they were still far enough out to escape notice on their approach. The side of the ship loomed large and dark over them before long. Amphibax scanned its defenses like a crocodile watching its prey while the others drifted just below the surface with their rebreathers. He soon rejoined them and signaled to “Bad Guy.” The toothy being nodded and surfaced before carefully charging his claws and punching a hole about a bio over the waterline, and the three clambered in. Their eyes were the only light in the dim corridor they found themselves in. That is, until a searing glob of plasma flew past “Good Guy’s” face and burned a hole in the wall behind. Amphibax looked up to see three Rahkshi glaring at them from the end of the hall, and one of their staffs was still glowing hot. “Run,” Amphibax said softly before shoving the two behind him and following quickly. He shepherded them around bolts of plasma, disintegration, and sound, slashing his twin blades at anything that got too close. Up ahead, six more narrow orange eyes burned from the darkness. Amphibax quickly took stock of their location before opening a door and shoving the two inside. “Go!” “What is this place?” Bad Guy asked as he tried to pick out the details with what little light his eyes provided. Everyone blinked as Amphibax pulled out a lightstone to reveal, “A supply closet. Now we have a bigger problem. Rahkshi will be swarming that door and we have no other way out. The cargo hold is on the other end of the ship.” “I could blow the door and all the Rahkshi off the side of the ship,” Good Guy announced, raising his Echo Fork before it was caught by his companion. “In this small space, we’d be liquified before those hinges burst,” he grinned grimly. “Perhaps a little more finesse is required, my friend. Say, what might we find on the other side of this wall?” Amphibax had been watching silently. It was their time to come up with the plan. But he did offer, “Crew’s Quarters. We’d likely find much worse than Rahkshi in there.” Bad Guy jumped as the door vibrated, the room growing hotter as a glowing orange began spreading from the handle. “We’re running out of options!” he said nervously. Good Guy quickly snatched his claw and aimed it at the wall before firing. Amphibax pushed the others aside to enter the newly created hole first. Bad Guy then Good Guy followed, and Amphibax quickly led them to the door. Good Guy stopped as he realized just what was in the room. Matoran, at least twenty of them crammed into tight bunks along the walls. Their expressions ranged from shocked to absent; some of them didn’t even seem to notice the Hunters there. “Who are they…” he asked quietly. “Prisoners of war,” Amphibax replied quickly, “And not our problem. Come on, before the Rahkshi catch up.” Good Guy ran after without taking his eyes off the miserable sight. They had nearly reached the door at the end of the hall, passing more rooms filled with countless, soulless Matoran when something new emerged from a door just behind them. He was a Toa in form, but his body was jet black and covered in dark, almost corroded armor. His red eyes quickly fixed on the intruders. “Who are you?” He rasped, drawing a staff and shield. Amphibax pushed the others toward the door and stood before them, staring down the Shadow Toa. “Go,” he hissed at them. When the recruits didn’t move, he turned and roared, “Go!” The two ran through the door, looking back to see Amphibax catch the Toa’s staff in his blades before he disappeared from view. They didn’t stop running until the sounds of combat faded into the distance. “What do we do now?” Good Guy panted. “We finish the mission,” Bad Guy responded firmly. “Amphibax said the cargo hold was on this end of the ship, didn’t he?” “Yeah, but how are we supposed to find it? He had the map!” “We’ll find it.” Bad Guy leads the way down the hall, watching for Rahkshi, but it seemed most of this floor had followed them to the supply closet. Still they rushed through the hall, not wanting to press their luck. It took some time to find the right door, time that they would have thought the Rahkshi would have used to catch up. But there it was, the Matoran symbols spelling out “Cargo Hold” above a large round door. Good Guy took one last survey of the hall while Bad Guy rushed straight to the button. The door split into eight sections and spiralled open like an aperture, revealing the darkest area of the ship yet. Bad Guy walked right in despite the dark, while Good Guy hesitated a moment before following. They felt more than saw their way through the maze of crates while ominous rattling and cracks sounded in the darkness. “How are we supposed to know which one has the weapons?” As it turned out, the crate revealed itself after a time. A solitary lightstone laying on the floor shone its light on a crate where “Xian Forges” was written. Bad Guy quickly cracked it open to reveal… nothing. “I knew it was too good to be true,” Bad Guy snarled as he turned and flopped back against the side. “We can’t go back without it,” Good Guy sighed. “We’ll have to keep looking.” “That won’t be necessary,” said a new voice from behind them. The recruits started and spun around, casting the light on Amphibax, who was holding out six silver cylinders etched with vents and a black grip. “We thought you were dead!” Bad Guy snapped before Amphibax could tell him to be quiet. “How did you get here first?” Amphibax shrugged, “All Toa are the same. That isn’t the first one I’ve killed. But, considering you made your way here anyway, I believe we can tell The Shadowed One you succeeded.” “That means we’re in!” Bad Guy said, a little quieter. “Not yet. We still need to get past an army of Rahkshi and off this ship. So perhaps we should find out what these weapons do…” ------- Each of the Hunters took two of the cylinders and made their way out of the cargo hold on the other side of the ship, returning to the hole they had already created. Along the way, the recruits marveled at the Rahkshi shells strewn around the halls. Amphibax hardly seemed to notice. “Did you kill all of them?” Bad Guy asked. “We can’t have them alerting the rest of the ship,” he replied casually. But it seemed he was too late. Before they had reached the hole, Amphibax stopped them as a hiss spread through the air. At the end of the hall was a platoon of Rahkshi with staffs pointed toward them. At the head was another Toa, this one female with a black Avsa. “Kill the thieves,” she commanded, and the Rahkshi swarmed around them toward the Hunters. Bad Guy leapt in front, holding one cylinder out, a strange lens pointed toward the horde. “I’ve got this,” and with that he pushed the red button along the side, and a red beam of light raced out toward them… before stopping a bio from the cylinder. Bad Guy pulled it back, looking at the glowing blade in confusion. It was then that one of the forward Rahkshi’s eyes began to glow, and two lasers blasted toward them. Bad Guy flinched, somehow putting the blade between him and the lasers. The reflected and sheared off the arm of the Rahkshi just to the right of the attacker. Bad Guy’s Skakdi grin returned, and he charged in, pulling out his second cylinder which created a short beam of orange light. Chain Lightning and Heat Vision were ineffective as he tore into the front few Rahkshi. As it turned out, protosteel wasn’t a match for it either. Good Guy and Amphibax just looked at each other for a moment. Then Amphibax wielded one of the lightblades in his claw while Good Guy pulled out one of his own. Instead of diving for the attackers like Amphibax, he turned to the wall and started carving a new exit. Bad Guy traded blows with Rahkshi left and right, making good use of the double blades. Patches of scorched and crumpled armor covered him from grin to claws, but a manic glee glowed in his eyes as he fought through the pain. Amphibax found himself engaged with the Toa, though she managed to fend off the lightblade with one conjured from shadow. Light broke through the darkness of the halls with every swift parry. He slashed at her legs with his whip, earning a moment to strike that was just as quickly stolen away as a Rahkshi pounced on his back. “Everyone get down!” Good Guy called, and Hunters and Toa alike turned to see him holding Echo Fork high and made to get out of the way. Amphibax snatched up Bad Guy and darted toward him. The Shadow Toa tried to follow, but found herself falling back into a pile of Rahkshi as Amphibax’s whip snagged her ankle. Good Guy waited a few seconds for his allies to get clear before smashing the fork to the ground, sending a deafening wave of sound down the hall. The Toa and remaining Rahkshi were blown back into the shadows, and before they could recover the Hunters were out into the ocean and returning to their own boat. Rahkshi emerged from the Brotherhood ship, but their aerial search was no match for Amphibax’s finesse underwater. No one said a word until the ship had disappeared far into the distance. And uncharacteristically, it was Amphibax that broke the silence. “Good Guy, Bad Guy, welcome to the Dark Hunters.”
  21. IC: Garrotte - Gym Maze The pebbles bounced and rolled from the goo, it having hardened shortly after being released. And so Garrotte had no problem as she dropped in after Fate, who had unfortunately wasted her time. Garrotte's short sword came out, and she held it level with Fate's faceplates. "Surrender," Garrotte said simply.
  22. IC: Garrotte - Gym Maze The yellow Rahkshi rolled over and sat up as if she were giving up... before suddenly disappearing from view. Garrotte broke into a run and leapt to the next building with two more capsules in her hands. As the hole Fate had disappeared into appeared, Garrotte tossed the capsules in after her.
  23. IC: Garrotte - Gym Maze Garrotte was just trying to place where the shot had come from when a second followed, and her head snapped toward it, quickly picking out a bright yellow back tipped with spines. "Hey!" she called in a dissonantly even tone as she began walking toward Fate with large strides.
  24. IC: Fang - Forest of Kaam He hissed softly. The Hand's obvious disdain of the New Breed was not giving him any reason to trust them. IC: Hoto - Village of Kaam "O-okay..." Hoto's head fell as she tried to hide her fear. She would be alone again. Completely and utterly alone in an unfamiliar place of unfamiliar and dangerous Rahkshi that might have... No, I can't think like that. Not now. I've... I've done it before. I'll be fine. IC: Tube - Gym Maze Tube looked down at the cracks under their feet. "I'm sorry, Master," they muttered before following Thurisaz again. IC: Reda - Gym Maze "Don't go too far out of sight," Reda warned. "I'm not in the mood to fight a three on four." IC: Garrotte - Gym Maze Well, that was underwhelming. What was she supposed to do now. Two of the Rahks were hiding, one flailing, and one... somewhere on the roofs with a powerful weapon. Garrotte decided the ground was under control and leapt into flight mode to softly glide atop the nearest rooftop. She landed quietly, and looked around for the sniper from her new vantage point.
  25. IC: Tube - Gym Maze Tube eagerly followed with a decidedly less graceful leap. As they hit with a solid thud, the stone beneath their frame cracked and groaned. They grinned at Thurisaz as if nothing had happened. IC: Reda - Gym Maze She watched Slif's plan turn to action with a bemused smirk, but of course didn't neglect to watch the alleys around them while her team was otherwise occupied. IC: Garrotte - Gym Maze While the others spread out, Garrotte remained right where she was, waiting anxiously for the signal. It was sometime in the relative silence as their target droned on about plans or something that Garrotte began to wonder why they sent their VIP in as a distraction... Oh, well too late, that's the signal. As Diode made her grand entrance, Garrotte spun out from the corner on the other side of Kri's team and threw her capsules at their feet. Inside was her own poison, which, while not very toxic, could harden on impact and hold with surprising strength that should keep them occupied for a few moments.
