    Some Updates

Sorry I haven't been blogging here recently. It's just that I've started up a new blog elsewhere on the interwebs and it's a higher priority for me right now than this one. That's why I haven't been very active here recently. But now I have decided to share some news about my upcoming epic, Dawn of the New Century. Figured it gave me an excuse to blog here again. So Dawn is on its sixth draft and is coming along nicely. Right now I am thinking of going over it one last time before I post it on BZP, although I've been working on it for so long that I'm beginning to think I'll just post it as soon as I finish this draft. That way I can begin work on the sequel. If I had to guess Dawn's release date, I'd say mid-to-late May at the latest. Possibly sooner, depending on how quickly I edit this draft, but that's my current estimate, which of course is subject to change. Anyway, because I'm almost done with it, I feel safe with posting a summary, so here ya go: Fifty-thousand years after the death of Makuta Teridax, a messiah-like figure named Masqouth appears seemingly out of nowhere in Zisar, the capital of New Zakaz, promising freedom and prosperity to the enslaved Skakdi people. He backs up his claims by miraculously healing wounded or sick Skakdi, all the while hiding his true intentions for these people. At the same time, a Skakdi named Kafor is kidnapped by two Dark Hunters, one a Skrall codenamed Night and the other a Vortixx codenamed Heavyweight. Kafor knows the fate that awaits her at the foot of the Shadowed One's throne, but cannot escape her kidnappers no matter how hard she tries. In the city of New Atero, detective Toa Niham investigates two similar kidnappings while trying to balance her precarious love life with the famous Glatorian Rubella the Red Star. Little does she knew just how intimately related these two kidnappings are, nor the hidden secrets they will lead her to uncover. Meanwhile, Toa Kiriah, veteran guardian of the Time Stone, is summoned by the Almighty Ones in order to help them deal with a new threat. But an unexpected attack forces Kiriah to change her plans and work with people whom she never though she would find herself working with. The lives of these characters are destined to intertwine in ways none expect. And when they do, they -- and their world -- will be changed forever. I hope that excites y'all as much as it excited me . So see ya, -TNTOS-

    Some Updates

Glad that the forums are back online. I was beginning to miss them. Anyway, to all my readers, The Legend Imploded is on indefinite hiatus. This is because Microsoft Word refuses to work on my computer and I wrote TLI on Word, so I can't access any of the chapters that I haven't posted yet or even the ones I have posted. I have no idea what's wrong with it, so until I fix it don't expect any more chapters of TLI for the foreseeable future, unfortunately. However, I may post a flash fiction story I wrote recently, although I cannot guarantee it. Just keep your eye on the Short Stories forum anyway, just in case I decide to post it. -TNTOS-

    No More Memory

Today our Acer laptop completely ran out of memory. It's not surprising, really. It's been telling us for months now that it's memory is almost full and during that time we've deleted as many old or unnecessary files as we could in an attempt to make more room on the hard drive. Yet today the inevitable has finally happened. Considering that deleting useless memory hasn't helped in the slightest, it appears we're either going to have to buy new memory for it or just buy a new computer entirely. I suspect we'll end up doing the latter because we've been talking about getting a new laptop for a while now (our current one is from 2007, you see, so it's quite old by computer standards). The reason this is relevent to BZP is because I am unable to open my Word documents without any memory. That means that, until this problem is resolved, I cannot post anymore new chapters of my currently-running comedy, BIONICLE: The Legend Imploded. Therefore, TLI is currently on hiatus for an indefinite period of time. I'm going to have to tell the rest of my family, but I have no idea what we'll decide to do next. I'll probably still be on BZP and Skype, though, since both of those are still working, but don't expect to see any new fanfics from me for a while, unfortunately. I'll try to keep y'all posted as we figure this out. -TNTOS- UPDATE: Looks like I spoke too soon. I guess someone must've deleted some files or something because our laptop has memory again. Not a whole lot, but enough that I can open Word documents again without any serious problems. Definitely going to need to figure out how to free up more memory, though, so this doesn't happen again. So expect another TLI chapter next Saturday, as usual.
  4. Finished editing the fifth draft of my upcoming epic, Dawn of the New Century. I'm now going to put it aside for a while to work on my original fiction, but plan to go over it at least two more times before posting it on BZP. -TNTOS-
  5. Just finished revamping my library. What are the new things I added/changed? Here's a list for those interested: -New introduction -"Two Tales" and "What I Should have Said" added -Entire Glatorian Chronicles series edited into numerical order -"Genre" feature added, which tells you what kind of story a particular fanfic is -Edited summaries for several fanfics -New stories in the "COMING SOON" section -Better formatting I'm glad I got that out of the way. Been meaning to do it for a while but was intimidated by the size of my library. Now that it's done, I don't have to worry about it anymore, so yay and stuff. -TNTOS-

    Finished! Woot!

Today I finished writing the fourth draft of my upcoming epic, Dawn of the New Century. It's a little over 93,000 words, making it the longest draft yet. It is also probably the best draft, although I am going to revise it at least three times before posting it to make it even better. Taking into account the amount of rivison it's going to need, expect to see Dawn sometime in early 2013 at the earliest. I hope it will be my best epic yet or at the very least on par with my previous epics in terms of quality. Also, I am pleased to announce that Dawn will indeed have a sequel. I have tentatively titled the sequel The Kingdom of Chaos, although that is subject to change at any time, so don't be surprised if I rename it later on. Now I'm going to take a break from Dawn, like I usually do after finishing a story, and go back to that Toa Chimoy short story I mentioned a while ago. I'm going to edit the short story and then post it in the SS forum, most likely later this month. It's been a while since I last looked at it, so I barely remember any of the details, which is great because I'll be able to look at it with a much more critical and unbiased eye during revision, which means I'll notice more flaws and, more importantly, know how to fix those flaws, too. That's all for now, so see ya, -TNTOS-
  7. Hey, everybody. Today I am posting the What Could Have Been of my most recent epic, The Ghost King's Tragedy. Here I will discuss old or rejected ideas that didn't make it into the final draft of TGKT. I will also discuss trivia and clear up a few things that weren't clear in the story itself. With that out of the way, onto the WCHB: (WARNING: THIS BLOG POST CONTAINS MASSIVE SPOILERS FOR TGKT. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU FIRST READ THE EPIC ITSELF BEFORE READING THIS, UNLESS YOU REALLY DON'T MIND HAVING A STORY SPOILED FOR YOU. IT WILL MAKE A LOT MORE SENSE IF YOU READ THE EPIC ITSELF FIRST. I AM PUTTING THIS ALL IN A SPOILER TAG JUST TO BE SAFE.) That's all for now, so see ya, -TNTOS-
  8. Okay, yes, I watch Glee (or have been watching it since the third season, anyway, but I've seen most of the first season, too). It's just so hilariously bizarre at times, borderlining so bad it's good, that I kind of have to watch it. So, naturally, the always-active gray matter in my skull (which some people call a brain) came up with this brilliant idea for a Glee fanfic, an idea I came up with after watching the end of the third episode of the fourth season. At the end of the third episode, Rachel Berry (one of the protagonists) is in her apartment with this guy named Brody Weston, who goes to the same dancing school that she does. Long story short, the two have had unresolved sexual tension for a while now and end up kissing, but just as they do so, Rachel's real boyfriend, Finn Hudson, arrives and finds Rachel with Brody. The episode cuts off just when Rachel opens the door and finds Finn standing there (instead of her roommate, Kurt Hummel, who she expected to see). So you don't get to see how Finn reacts to seeing his girlfriend with another guy. How they resolve this cliffhanger is revealed in the next episode (which aired yesterday, in fact), but that bored me, so I came up with another (and better) idea. See, Finn went to join the army at the end of season three (which is why he wasn't with Rachel at the beginning of seaon four) to follow in the footsteps of his father. So I thought, "What if Finn, now trained in the use of military-grade guns, killed Rachel and Brody in a fit of rage and then went on the run from the police?" It's a bizarre idea, one that certainly wouldn't fit the Gleeverse (as the writers portray it) at all, but it intrigues me so much, partly because of its serious nature, partly because it's ridiculous, and partly because I'd get to turn Finn into a certified butt-kicker who doesn't afraid of the law (which is why he is on the run from it, obviously). I was thinking he'd escape to Ireland, where he'd team up with Rory Flanagan, an Irish exchange student from season three who was his friend, who'd let him stay at his house until the whole thing blows over. I'm sure Puck, another old friend of Finn's, would end up helping as well (not sure how, though, considering he's supposed to be in LA, if I remember correctly). I can just imagine the news reaching the Glee club at the school. Mr. William Schuester would be horrified, while other members of the Glee club (such as Artie and Brittany) would be involved in a master plan that requires Finn to be stopped, although not for noble reasons. Sue Sylvester would probably just quip "I knew he'd crack one of these days" and probably be secretly trying to undermine Artie and Brittany's evil plan while appearing apathetic to it. (No, I don't know why Artie and Brittany are the villains. But that's the fun of writing, though, isn't it?) I think Kurt would probably go insane or depressed upon learning the deaths of Rachel and Brody (especially Rachel). He'd probably wonder why his brother killed them and then work with the police to capture Finn and bring him to justice (maybe Kurt could become a super hero/vigilante with a fabulous costume, with Blaine as his sidekick. Not sure). If it turns out anything at all like my other stories, it'd have some big mystery surrounding the whole story that the protagonists are trying to uncover. I'm thinking this mystery would explain how the heck the characters are able to spontaneously sing any song on the spot on-key and with perfect dance coordination. Yes, that would work. This may just be my NaNoWriMo novel. As I've finished writing The Legend Imploded, I really would like another crack fic to work on and this seems just about perfect. Doesn't mean I will write it, though, but I am very tempted to. Very tempted to. -TNTOS-
  9. Howdy, y'all!* In anticipation of my upcoming epic, The Ghost King's Tragedy, I've decided to share a short excerpt from the story. This is from Chapter 3 and it probably won't make a lot of sense until I post the epic itself, but if it generates interest then I'll be happy. So here it is: The jungle was just like Kiriah remembered it: hot and humid, with vines and tree branches sticking in their path. It was just as muddy, too, and more than once Kiriah nearly slipped. She didn’t feel so bad about it, though, because the slick mud made the others cautious as well. Kiriah and Oggak were the only two with swords, so they were in the front cutting a path for their group. Kiriah had asked Akuna why they couldn’t just use their elemental powers to make a path, but Akuna had reminded her that such a move might be seen as an act of aggression by the Ghost King. They simply couldn’t risk alarming him if they were going to get the secret from him. Most of Kiriah’s concerns were quickly proven pointless, though, because they seemed to be walking along an actual path, for the grass and mud looked as though they had been trampled. There were fewer vines or branches to cut down here. This gave Kiriah and Oggak time to talk, although Kiriah didn’t really feel comfortable around the Toa of Shadow. Yes, Oggak had already reassured her that she was on their side, but Kiriah knew that shadow was generally not good, so she wasn’t sure what to say to Oggak, if anything at all. “You’re a Toa of Psionics, right?” said Oggak, glancing at Kiriah as they walked. “What? Yeah,” said Kiriah, nodding. “What about it?” “Can you sense any other minds nearby besides our own?” Oggak asked. Kiriah frowned and shook her head. “No. It feels like there’s this intense mental pressure covering area, like a giant blanket. I can’t even feel your mind and you’re right next to me.” “That’s probably because I already have mental shields,” Oggak said. “But that is an interesting observation.” “It must be the Ghost King,” said Akuna from behind them. “This is his island, after all. Maybe he knows what your element is, Kiriah, and he’s trying to stop you from using it.” “Could be,” said Kiriah, chopping a vine out of the way. “I don’t like it. You guys wouldn’t understand, but it feels like I’m missing a limb. I’ve never had to rely solely on my physical senses to interact with the world before and it makes me nervous.” “There’s no need to be nervous, Kiriah,” said Ahova, patting the Toa of Psionics on the shoulder. “I mean, what’s the worst that could happen? An ambush?” Their conversation was interrupted by a rustling sound in the treetops above. Kiriah looked up, but saw nothing. Then something darted through the air and something sharp stabbed her in the shoulder. The blow was enough to send her staggering backwards, yelping as she looked at her shoulder. A long, thin arrow stuck out of Kiriah’s shoulder. The wound burned like fire and it was bleeding profusely, but Kiriah had no time to think about it, for Akuna shouted, “Watch out!” and tackled Kiriah to the ground as a dozen more arrows flew overhead. 10. Just thought I'd give y'all some news on what I have been working on recently: For epics, I have been writing the second draft of Dawn of the New Century. It is coming along well so far and I have nearly finished it. It looks like it will have a sequel, based on the way the story is heading currently. It could possibly even be a trilogy, but again it depends largely on the direction the story takes. After I finish writing the second draft of Dawn, I will be editing The Ghost King's Tragedy and GC#12. I can confirm that TGKT takes place during Teridax's rule of the MU and that GC#12 takes place directly after the death of Teridax, which is all I am going to say about the stories for now. Don't want to spoil too much. I have not yet begun work on BIONICLE: The Legend Imploded, but I will soon because I want to post it around the same time as Dawn. There will be a couple of new members added to the main cast of Mata Nui and friends. Also, it will not be based off any BIONICLE movie because they never made a sixth one. Rest assured, however, that it will be based on a canon BIONICLE story year, which I don't think any of y'all should have much trouble figuring out once I post the final chapter of TLE. That's all the news for now, so see ya, -TNTOS-
  11. As I am almost finished writing the third draft of The Ghost King's Tragedy (a short epic), I've decided to share some tidbits with you guys about what to expect in it: -World's End (from Dimension Hoppers) will be the main setting; however, it is not the World's End from the Ehlekverse seen in DiH but the one in the Shikaverse (AKA the main universe of all of my fanfics) -The main characters are Toa Akuna, Toa Oggakia, Toa Kiriah, and Toa Ahova, all of whom have starred in at least one epic prior to this one. This is partly because I want to write an-all female main cast, but there is a reason in-story given for why these four Toa are brought together -It takes place during Teridax's rule over the MU -It is also probably going to be the last epic I write before Dawn of the New Century. I am unsure how much of TGKT will be important to Dawn, but the events of this epic will probably affect Dawn in some ways at least I don't have a set release date for TGKT yet. It still needs to be edited several times before it will be good enough to post on here. I doubt it will take long to go over, though, because it's so short (at least, I hope so, anyway). -TNTOS-
  12. Unusual, I know, but I just put up the tenth GC story For Fame and for Fortune today. Go read it here. It's unusual because I just posted the first chapter of GC#9 last week. It's extremely rare for me to put up the next GC so shortly after I just posted one. I'm loving it, though, 'cause it makes me feel like I've accomplished something. Really great feeling. As for GC#11, not sure when I'll get that up, but probably sometime this month. At the moment I'd say it's nearly finished, but I'm still not entirely pleased with it. Probably just need to work on it some more. -TNTOS-
  13. Just posted the first chapter of my newest short epic, Glatorian Chronicles #9: Reluctant Allies. Go read it here. So glad to have that out of the way. I'm going to start work on GC numbers 10 through 12 now; in fact, you might see GC #10 very soon, considering I'm pretty happy with how it is coming along, though probably not this week. -TNTOS-
  14. Earlier today I decided to get off my lazy butt and repost my library on the new forums. Before I just linked to the old one in the archives, but that library is so terribly outdated that I knew I was going to have to make a new one eventually. So I decided to go ahead and make it today so I can mark one more thing off my non-existent to-do list. Check it out here. The biggest difference with this new library is the name. Old library was called "Toa Nuhrii: Toa of Sugar's Library!", which, while informative, was a bit unimaginative and boring. So I named this library "The Tasty Library of Sugary Goodness." It's more original than the old title, anyway. The new library contains links to all of my stories, including my most recent ones such as BIONICLE: The Legend Exploded and Dimension Hoppers. Also contains a "Coming Soon" section for upcoming stories, so if you're curious to see what's on my writing schedule, you can go and check that out. One more thing: I will be posting the first chapter of the mini-epic, Glatorian Chronicles #9: Reluctant Allies, on March 1st. It will be the first GC on the new forums, as well as the second mini-epic in the GC series (the first being GC #4). It will be about 6 chapters long and be updated every Thursday. See ya, -TNTOS-
  15. Hello. My name is TNTOS (what does that stand for? It's a secret to everybody) and I have been writing and posting fanfics on BZP almost since the day I first joined. As a result, I have quite a collection of stories, ranging from epic multichapter stories to quiet short stories and everything in between. I have over 50 fanfics in Comedies, Short Stories, and Epics combined. I made this library to be a one stop location with links to all my fics (well, except for the older ones lost when the Archives were deleted, but most of the links here do work). The library is divided into three areas: Comedies, Epics, and Short Stories. Each story has a rating (ranging from G to PG-13), a status ("Beginning," "In progress," "Complete," or, very rarely, "Discontinued), a summary (detailing what the story is about), and a new feature, genre (what kind of story it is). Epics and chaptered comedies contain number of chapters (how many chapters they have). COMEDIES (13): My Bionicle Road Trip Rating: G Chapters: 108 Status: Complete Genre: Action-Adventure Summary: My first fanfic posted on BZP, My Bionicle Road Trip follows the adventures of a teenage boy named Timongo, who is transformed into a BIONICLE set and goes on an adventure around the world to collect the Bio Symbols, the items that will turn him back into a normal human boy. A Normal Day in the Life of the Barraki Rating: G Genre: Comedy Summary: While Timongo and the other BIONICLEs are on their worldwide adventure, the Barraki at home gather to discuss important issues such as stealing the Bio Symbols from Timongo and getting dinner, where hilariy ensues! My Bionicle Sets Stories Rating: G Chapters: 18 Status: Discontinued Genre: Comedy Summary: The sequel to My Bionicle Road Trip, Timongo, now a human again, tries to live a normal human life, although that is exceedingly difficult due to the craziness of his Bionicle sets and their adventures. (Author's note: Discontinued due to lack of interest.) Transformers PSA (Parody Service Announcement) Rating: G Genre: Parody Short Story Summary: Optimus Prime tries to teach two stupid kids, Billy and Billy, not to jump off a cliff, which leads into an all-out brawl with Megatron for supremacy over the boys' education. Parody of the 80s G.I. Joe and Transformers PSAs. G. I. Joe PSA (Parody Service Announcement) Rating: G Genre: Parody Short Story Summary: Billy and Billy are deadly afraid of going to the doctor, so it's up to G. I. Joe medic Doc to teach them not to be afraid. But he clashes with Cobra weapons supplier Destro, who for some poorly explained reason wants to keep Billy and Billy fearing the doctor. G. I. Joe and Transformers PSA (Parody Service Announcement) Rating: G Genre: Parody Short Story Summary: G. I. Joe first sergeant Duke and Autobot spy Bumblebee team up to teach Billy and Billy the evils of buying knockoff toys in this third PSA. It's up to G. I. scuba diver and resident creepy guy Deep Six to instill fear in their souls to teach them their mistake. Can't I just be a Chronicler? Rating: G Genre: Satire Short Story Summary: Kopeke, the Ko-Matoran Chronicler of Metru Nui, is trying to avoid becoming a Toa. Can Kopeke succeed in staying as a Matoran or is he doomed to failure? BIONICLE: The Legend Reloaded Rating: PG Chapters: 34 Status: Complete Genre: Action-Adventure-Parody Summary: Ten years after the great war, Mata Nui, an ex-war hero, lives peacefully with his girl Kiina, until the fateful day he returns home from hunting cybernetic demon wolves. He finds a note from the mighty Tuma, leader of a notorious gang called the Skrall, explaining that Kiina had been kidnapped and that Mata Nui has to turn in ten billion and a half dollars in cash to the Tuma by the end of the night, or else he'll never see Kiina alive again. Mata Nui - after seeing so many horrors during the great war - finally snaps and decides to settle his problem with the Tuma cowboy-style. He recruits his three old war buddies and best friends - Ackar, an elderly man who can still kick butt; Gresh, a young guy who is quick with a pistol and as fast as death itself; and "Double Barrel" Berix, a psycho one-Agori army known for his inability to listen to silly things such as reason and logic - and sets out to confront the Tuma and his gang of Skrall in the awesomest TLR parody ever written. BIONICLE: The Legend Exploded Rating: PG Chapters: 19 Status: Complete Genre: Action-Adventure-Parody Summary: In this sequel to "BIONICLE: The Legend Reloaded," Dah Element Lords have kidnapped Gresh and Berix. Angered, Mata Nui, with Ackar and Kiina at his side, goes to kick Dah Element Lords' butts once and for all . . . oh, and save Gresh and Berix, too. Along the way, Mata Nui recruits four new allies: Bucket-head, the intelligent Skrall that everyone hates; Tera and Likus, two air guitar champions; and Oris, who may or may not be Orlando Bloom in disguise but sure isn't nice. With new and old friends alike, Mata Nui sets out to do the impossible and outdo himself in this unnecessary and frankly stupid squel to the BIONICLE: The Legend Reloaded. BIONICLE: The Legend Imploded Rating: PG Chapters: 27 Status: Complete Genre: Action-Adventure-Parody Summary: The Legend Trilogy comes to its awesome conclusion as Mata Nui's old foe (who was never heard of until now), Makuta Teridax, returns with a vengeance. Teridax proves far too powerful for Mata Nui to defeat on his own, which forces our psychotic hero and his equally mad friends to go on a grand adventure across the entire planet in search of the six golden armor pieces, which if brought together will give Mata Nui the power he needs to defeat Teridax once and for all. But Teridax is aware of the golden armor as well and sends his own minions all over the planet to find the golden armor pieces before Mata Nui and friends do. The race is on as Mata Nuis friend's and Teridax's minions try to get the golden armor pieces first, resulting in epic battles, bizarre meta-jokes and pop culture references, and even stranger plot twists that would make any observant reader cry (not because they are beautiful or sad but because theyre so stupid). My Little BIONICLE: Friendship is Explosive Rating: PG Chapters: 15 Status: Complete Genre: Action-Adventure-Crossover Summary: Twilight Sparkle's day went from bad to worse much quicker than usual. This wouldn't be that bad, except that Celestia absolutely forbids Twilight to bring along any of her friends besides Spike. That complicates things a bit. Third, upon arriving in this new universe, Twilight meets the oddest, possibly most demented and certainly most violent couple she has ever encountered before: Mata Nui and Kiina. The two biomechs have a score to settle with Sunset Shimmer and offer to form an alliance with Twilight and Spike, which the alicorn princess reluctantly accepts. And finally, it becomes clearer that the entire situation is much deeper than any of them know, but for the life of Twilight, she just can't figure out what Sunset's final end game is. It doesn't help that Twilight is noticing her harsher, more violent side beginning to take over the longer she stays in this universe, which is only encouraged by Mata Nui, who doesn't seem to realize just how bad that is. Can Twilight and her companions retrieve the crown and defeat Sunset Shimmer? Or will the evil unicorn's true plans destroy them all? 16. So I just decided to give y'all an update on my short story series, the Glatorian Chronicles, which I think has been going on for one or two years now. I've recently started working on it again, so I thought I'd let y'all know what to expect. The next GC (that is, #9) is titled Reluctant Allies and is a mini-epic, as I have said before. It is told from the point of view of Ackar and takes place during the Core War. I just finished it a few days ago, but I will not be posting it until I finish the last three GCs. After GC#9, I will put up GC#10, which is told from Gelu's POV. It takes place during the Battle of Roxtus and is a short story, not a mini-epic. It was fun to write from Gelu's POV, which is all I'm going to say about it for now. GC#11 will be told from Stronius's POV. Not exactly sure when this story is taking place, but I imagine it is during the Core War, most likely. And then, finally, the ending of the series, GC#12, which will be told from the POV of Mata Nui. It will take place after Teridax's death and will involve a very interesting debate between two characters that have not, to my knowledge, ever interacted on-screen in the canon story before. I'm excited for this one. Really excited. As I want to wrap up the Glatorian Chronicles quickly, I am going to write these last four GCs together and post them one after the other once I finish writing and editing them. I have already written GC#9 and GC#10 (although I have not edited #10 yet). Numbers 11 and 12 have yet to be written but will probably be written before November, although it depends on how long it will take for me to write them. That's all for now, so see ya, -TNTOS-
