1. Pretty shortly after Christian Faber posted this video documenting concepts for the original Voodoo Heads that eventually became BIONICLE, someone threw up a topic on Eurobricks offering brick-built versions of the iconic heads. GK733 took the idea and ran with it, using a modified version of one of the heads in this awesome MoC that he dubbed a Great Being. That really fueled my imagination, and now I've built up something of my own based on his design. As you can see, the core of the designs are taken straight from GK733's MoC. What I did was switch things up to bring in more of the Voodoo Head aesthetic. The heads are also completely custom - I feel like the Islanders theme had a strong influence on BIONICLE's earliest conceptual art direction, and made Papu and Rangi to be siblings to Kahuka in design. Together Rangi Side Back Head Papu Side Back Head For those who don't know, Papu and Rangi are easily the most mysterious of BIONICLE characters. Their names are derived from the Mother and Father gods of Maori, Ranginui and Papatuanuku, which is more than likely why they only appear in passing conversation in the Mata Nui online game - once the Maori lawsuit hit LEGO realized they needed to cover up the evidence they were actually using Maori gods in their story fast and had the only places they had appeared thus far, those vague mentions in Mata Nui, struck from the record. I personally believe that they were conceived as the original Great Beings of the BIONICLE mythos, to later be replaced by what we got. Either way, they were definitely god-tier - Nokama speaks of how they plan the fates and Jala says that they named Ta-Koro as the village of fire. Papu is the blue one - I envisioned her as the warrior of the two and gave her a more dynamic pose to convey that. Rangi is the balancing avatar of knowledge, taking a more hunched and wizened stance. Their attributes are reflected in the Toa Kaita - Akamai of Valor, and Wairuha of Wisdom. Sorry the photos are only okay, I don't have much to work with. Oh! And while we're here, here's another thing I made.
2. (feel free to move this to the correct forum if this is in the wrong one) Alright guys, here's my idea. Back in the day, they should have made Tohunga grab bags, not dissimilar from the Lego Minifigures bags of today. So here's how it would work: Each grab bag would include two legs, a throwing arm, a claw arm, a body, a head, and a disk. There would also be a mask in one of the six less common colors. You would have to get the rest of the masks from the mask packs. Or maybe the less common color masks could have been included in the normal mask packs. Or maybe the mask packs also included a Matoran. That would actually work pretty well. Each body part (excluding the head) would come in one of 18 colors: the six primary colors, the six secondary colors, and six of the less common colors. So the colors would be: Ta Red Orange Yellow (or dark red) Ga Blue Light blue Dark blue Le Green Lime Turquoise (or dark green) Ko White Light gray Sand blue Po Brown Tan Dark orange Onu Black Dark gray Purple Yellow and Turquoise would be questionable, since those colors already come with sets, and the alternates do not. Each bag would include a complete Matoran with only colors from one element. Also, the body and two arms would be the same color, as well as the two legs. So basically, each bag would include a generic Matoran of one element. So for example, a bag with a Ko-Matoran would have a white body and arms, two sand blue legs, a head, a light gray Hau, and an Akaku disc. Or if the Matoran were included in the mask packs, there would be one rare color mask, a full Matoran, and the contents of a standard mask pack. You would be able to make literally ANY of the Matoran from MNOG. So what do you guys think? EDIT: Bfahome pointed out that with all of the possible color combinations, there would be way too many collectibles. Therefore, I think that the amount could be brought down greatly by only including torsos and arms in the standard six colors: red, light blue, lime, black, tan, and white. Le-Koronans also had some green torsos (http://biosector01.com/wiki/images/thumb/d/d9/Kumo_MNOLG.png/250px-Kumo_MNOLG.png http://biosector01.com/wiki/images/thumb/6/6e/Makani_MNOLG.png/250px-Makani_MNOLG.png) and Ga-Koronans had some blue torsos (http://biosector01.com/wiki/images/thumb/4/49/MNOLG_Matoran_Nixie.png/250px-MNOLG_Matoran_Nixie.png and that cloned Ga-Matoran in MNOG http://s20.postimg.org/6pfowb6ul/warning.jpg) , so that would be two additional colors.
3. Mata Nui: The Online Game Collectors Edition Development Thread and Discussion - What is MNOLG: CE? - Mata Nui The Online Game: Collector’s Edition is a fan-produced remastered edition of the original Mata Nui Online Game created as one of the main projects for SolisMagna.com. It is intended to be a tribute to the game treasured by many BIONICLE fans and the outstanding work of Templar Studios. MNOLG: CE is based off the original game files of the Mata Nui Online Game, but with many changed aspects. A large majority of the image assets used for scenes and characters is inconsistent early in the game due to its episodic nature, (i.e. the beach in the very first scene). In MNOLG: CE, we replace these low quality images with remastered, high quality SVG images that will look perfect on any screen size. The beach is one image among a plethora of lower quality images throughout the original game, such as the sky in many scenes and a select few Matoran. Other aspects of the game are being improved as well, and will be revealed in the coming months. Other aspects of the game are being improved as well, and will be revealed in the coming months. Additional features that may be included in the game include a video featuring the development of the original MNOLG, possible extra minigames inspired by unfinished concepts, and more. - What does the MNOLG: CE Bundle include? - The MNOLG: CE bundle is set to include a 3D printed and dyed MNOLG-style Pakari and Takua's backpack, along with a CD and CD case with printed MNOLG: CE graphics. Both 3D printed items will attach to a Tohunga figure normally. The disc will NOT contain the game itself; It will be available to download for free on SolisMagna.com, and can be burned to the included disc. Although the game will be free to play, the full MNOLG: CE bundle will be available to enhance the experience greatly. - Current project staff - Our staff right now is quite minimal, and as such, we are currently seeking assistance in a couple of fields. Our staff at this time consists of the following people: Vrahno: Creator of the BIONICLE short film “Struggle in the Drifts”. Currently our modeller for creating the custom parts for 3D printing. XONAR: Founder of SolisMagna.com, project manager, & graphic designer. Currently our only flash developer. Vahkiti: Project founder / manager & art director. My current main focus is simply overseeing the entire project, however I also create the promotional images and assist in those used in game. We are currently looking for flash developers, vector graphic artists, sound engineers, and general Photoshop / Illustrator experts. If you possess any of these skills, feel free to PM either myself or XONAR to apply for a staff position. (Be sure to include some type of example of your past works!) - When will MNOLG: CE be released? - There is not yet a concrete release date for the project. We are looking to finalize MNOLG: CE before January 2015, so it could be any date between now and the holidays. In the meantime, feel free to add the banner from my own signature to yours. We could use all the support and publicity we can get! Much more will be added to this topic in the coming months, so stay tuned, and thanks for looking! Feel free to ask questions and discuss below. 4. Ever wondered what MNOG would look like if you could actually build some of the tools in brick form? A few years back, I tried my hand at it. While only some of these are actually from the game, I imagine the others wouldn't be uncommon amongst the Matoran of the island. Please upvote and comment! Enjoy! Don't worry, I'll have some more Revamp MOCs out within the next 24 hours!
5. A friend and I are working on a 3D remastered version of the original MNOG (Mata Nui Online Game). We both have experience in modeling, however the complex pieces offered by Bionicle make for excruciatingly slow progress. If others wish to help out, we are searching for any extra models people may have created (all contributors will be included in final credits).Thanks,-Matt5327One example of an unfinished work:
6. Hey folks! Perhaps some of you will recall my animation project. I'm still plugging away at it, and today I have a bit of new content to share. Basically, I was planning to have this be the beginning of part 4, but upon reflection I've decided it fits better as the end of part 3. For technical reasons I cannot retroactively add it to part 3, so here it is as a separate part 3.5: Link The preceding animations, should you wish to see them (fair warning, parts 1 and 2 aren't the greatest!), are in this Brickshelf folder.

8. I can't be the only person here who enjoys speedrunning games, right? Riiight? Anywho, after curiosity led me to find Ghabulous Ghoti's 53:52 run of MNOG, I was pretty sure I could go faster with a better route, and a few days later I ended up with a faster time of 47:33 (which has been unfortunately lost due to Twitch's purge of past broadcasts). I'm sure there were other people who might be interested in speedruns of Bionicle games, so voilà, here's a topic for keeping track of records and planning routes and such! (and yes i am aware that a topic was made before but that was a year ago and i don't want to necropost and hopefully this topic will be better) So far the only game I've really found runs of is MNOG any%, though the old topic had some really nice advice for VNOG. If that person (or anyone) could record a run of that, instant world record heh. Anyways, here's a leaderboard! Records: MNOG any% (Rules: Beat the game as fast as possible. Must start without backpack and lightstone.) #1: 49:59 by 2Tie (definitely beatable) #2: 53:52 by Ghabulous Ghoti I'm been working on routing MNOG2 on-and-off for a little bit, seems like without Kohlii and stat grinding the game should be beatable in roughly three hours. I'm thinking two categories, one that allows skipping kolhii matches and one that doesn't (though who would be insane enough to run that? ), with the debug menu not allowed in either (with the possible exception of resetting a room if a glitch happens). VNOG is beatable in seemingly an hour and a half. Pretty much any console/handheld Bionicle video game should be fair game, as well as any online game that seems runnable. (Example: Rhotuka Spinner Challenge is not speedrunnable. Autoscroll-type games where all playthroughs are roughly the same time without deaths will also be most likely rejected [though I'd happily accept Draw A Piraka for laughs]). Exact rules for each game is pretty much up to the people that run them, though no cheats and no game-altering modification is disallowed. Want to submit a run? Feel free to link it in a reply or a PM to me. Video proof is a must, and please have it all in one video if you can. If it looks legitimate, I'll add it to this post (don't worry, I'm not picky, I can almost guarantee that if you don't cheat, it's accepted). Definitely currently looking for VNOG and BIONICLE: The Game runs, though as I said before, most games are fine. Need help routing a game? Here's prolly the best place as ever!
9. Hey is there anywhere online where I can access all the SFX from the first Mata Nui Online Game? They would be super useful to the project I'm working on right now. Thanks, JD
10. As requested by Ghabolous Ghoti, aka GG. * * * START You are Takua, born adventurer and investigator, previously mindwiped from bringing the Toa to this island. Of course, since you have been mindwiped, you know nothing about this. Seeing as 98% of all beings playing the game know nothing about this either, it’s a perfect match. You behold a beach with a giant, empty canister directly in front of you. To your left is a staircase going up to a staircase and a telescope. And, in front of you, near the canister, impossible to miss, is a Ga-Matoran waving frantically at you. Any other Matoran would have rushed immediately to the blue Matoran’s help. But you are Takua, and that telescope and energy pylons look immediately more fascinating. You stumble up the steps, and watch a confusing vision of giant rocks falling from the sky and smaller rocks emerging and reassembling around those rocks. It’s pretty obvious that the white rock represents some good guy who was struck down, and the black jagged rock is bad… * * * I would argue that this animation here represents the events of 2001-03, with the last part a representation of the events of Mask of Light. The little black rocks surrounding Makuta seem to be symbolic of the Rahkshi, although that could be interpreted as types of Rahi. (And then the Toa defeating Makuta as they do at the end of this game.) However, this animation sets up the expectation that the Toa Mata actually are supposed to defeat Makuta in the end. (They do in the game, but not in the rest of Bionicle, leaving this entirely self-contained.) This one also foreshadows Journey’s End, too – Mata Nui comes down, Makuta is bigger, and Mata Nui falls over and shrinks. Prototype is smaller than Makuta’s big bot. And the Toa come to defeat his minions and stuff. The in-game parallel is the best, though, really. The telescope pictures are meant to represent and foreshadow the events of the game, particularly each chapter from the opening menu. There’s the argument that these pictures represent the Bionicle story as a whole, but I think you would need to stretch it pretty badly to get that out of it. The ending does look like it, with a picture of a giant robot face, a shiny thing that looks like the golden armor, Makuta, and then Mata Nui. But there’s too much game specific stuff, like the Bohrok under the Mata Nui symbol (an early hint that the Bohrok actually served him), and the early pictures of Tahu and Gali Mata, which have no other story parallels. * * * From this point forward, the gameplay is rather ambiguous. Ga-Koro or Ta–Koro first? I’ve played it both ways. People told me back in 2010 that it was Ta first, but the BS01 walkthrough says Ga first, like how I did it all those years ago. In all of my years of playing MNOG, I have never seen the Tahu “looking away” animation anywhere than in the book of chronicles. It’s probably a glitch with the version of MNOG that I burned to a disk way back in 2006. I’m sure BMP has a better version, but for some reason I can’t bear to part with this one. Nostalgia. I nitpick these game mechanics…there’s really excuse for all of these turns around. Still 2001 though. Also yonder emergency pump, given the events of 2005 with the airships, is storyline realism, and it establishes female Ga-Matoran engineers. Yeah! The picture’s in Nixie’s hut count as semi-forshadowing of the events of 2008-09. The top picture shows that Mata Nui is on a planet, the bottom one a doll-like guy on a planet-circle. These fishermen guys look pretty cool. Nice catch, dudes. Wait... Yeah. For some reason, the Kakama looks like a guy mask to me. Someone is really determined to go fishing. I mean, a Tarakava monster is about to invade, and this gal is determined to catch a big one. Look at those eyes. News travels fast on Mata Nui. All of the Turaga’s huts have their respective Toa’s masks hung up in their huts. Nokama has Gali’s mask, for example; Onewa has Pohatu’s. The Matoran at the front of the tunnel to Onu-Koro from Po-Wahi is Midiak, as confirmed by Greg. Takua has visions? Only in MNOG… If you look closely in the Ko-Koro cablecar animation, you can see a black McToran outline. If you’re sharp-eyed, you’ll notice that the talents of the Matoran in the final battle match the “Principles” from MNOG II…except for Kapura. Makuta’s eyes look hallow, like nothing is behind them. Nothing… Tahu looks dismembered on his final attack – and Onua looks so…girly? The Kestora watch the proceedings from the Red Star.
11. Hey all, I would like to show off a project that I recently started, as I got the idea of a reimagining of the Mata Nui Online Game after revisiting the game. What I have so far is just a "proof of concept" video with basic graphics and a playable engine that I made. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zpvd4vcIbRU -Objective- What I would like to do in this project is to present the story in an isometric gameplay style as well as implementing fun mini-games where they feel necessary. You can think of the game concept as the Bionicle GBA game (2001) and MNOG combined. I also aim to include full voice acting to add to the experience. I feel like this will be a tough challenge, but with enough motivation, I think I can make this possible. -What To Do- As you saw in the above video, I need character animations for the protagonist, Takua, as I'm not able to create decent pixel art of any characters in general. I'd also like an additional background artist for certain areas such as the rocky parts of the beach. As for my own pixel art in general, I'm able to do some background assets and the ground tiles. I'm also able to create art for the HUD as well as possible character portraits since cutscenes in the game will be text box based. I'd also need a music composer some time down the line if this ever becomes a serious project, but that really isn't a high priority right now. Same goes with VAs. I can still continue on, but I can't say that this will be a successful project if I'm lacking a character pixel artist. Since this is a Not For Profit Fan Game, I won't be focusing on this as much as another game project that I'm making as well. I will still try to continue working with the skills I have. Let me know on what you guys think as I appreciate feedback! (If any applies to just a proof of concept video)
12. These guys have been sitting on my display shelf for months, so I figured I'd finish them up and post them before Brickfair. May I present my favorite canon bunch of Matoran: Chronicler's Co. Rebuilt ^ Link to Flickr Gallery ^ Takua Kapura Hafu Macku Tamaru - And Gun Video Taipu Kopeke So after finishing up Project Reignition (my reimagining of 2006 with Matoran, topic is a bit old and broken), I decided to rebuild the Chronicler's Co. in the same form. It's small, fairly posable, orthodox, and just the right complexity for set design. Lego even had a lot of the parts I needed in the right colors. Still, some (*cough*Tamaru*cough*) suffered from lack of pieces in the right colors, but I did my best. If you want more information, check out the gallery with more pictures and information. I was planning on writing an epic featuring these guys (another reason to rebuild them), and their individual pictures have more information on that if you are interested. And just for fun, here's a little tablescrap I built this morning (now with fingers!) Also, check out my other latest MOC, Krika Feel free to comment, critique, rip apart, praise, adore, worship, and most importantly, enjoy!
13. Greetings, lovers of Bionicle, and prepare to be amazed. Remember MNOLG? Well, who doesn't, it's friggin awesome. If so, you probably also remember these drums: They can be heard in the scene where the Ta-Koro Guard discovers Tahu and in the mini-games at Kini Nui. Recently I came across this drum sample by jobro called "Hunter" on freesound (all credit to jobro!). I think the resemblance is striking. I even put a filter on it to simulate the drums in MNOLG with it, and it totally worked. Is this a coincidence? idk My theory is that this is originally a traditional piece that both Justin Luchter and jobro happened to use, but it blows my mind anyway. Just what are those drums? Or maybe jobro simply played MNOLG and felt insired by it? PS. I made a filtered slowed-down version version of this, which perfectly captures that tohunga vibe. Feel free to pm if you want it. Remember to give jobro credit.
14. While I was a fan of Bionicle for its entire lifespan, I was often disappointed by its video games. There was obviously one exception—the original Mata Nui Online Game, which I feel was the best tool Lego ever used for establishing a world for a new line of sets. Later settings lacked any such vehicle for immersive world-building, and I think they suffered for it. If I could program in Flash (or anything else, for that matter), I'd love to create a "Metru Nui Online Game" based on the original MNOG. My concept for such a game would involve a Matoran (possibly Jaller, who had previously investigated the Toa Tuyet killings) being asked by Toa Lhikan to investigate the ongoing disappearances of the Toa Mangai. Such a story would allow for the exploration of Metru Nui, and a darker, more noir take on the MNOG formula (imagine if during the battles in which Takua was introduced to the Toa Mata in the MNOG, the Toa LOST and Takua could do nothing but watch). The climax would involve the discovery that Turaga Dume was behind the killings, and your character having to steal the Toa Stones so that Toa Lhikan could use them to train a new team of Toa to save the city. Obviously such a game couldn't have a completely happy ending; to maintain a semblance of canon and explain your heroic Matoran's absence in the main story they would have to be captured after delivering the Toa Stones. That's the other reason Jaller would be an ideal character in my opinion—it'd allow for a bittersweet epilogue, with his mask possibly being damaged over the course of his adventure and the epilogue being his awakening on Mata Nui (on the same beach the original MNOG started and ended on), and receiving Lhikan's mask from Turaga Vakama. Again, though, no matter how much I conceptualize, this is just another of those ideas I'll likely never be able to bring to fruition. I just don't have the skills necessary to make this dream a reality.
15. What would you have liked to see more of in the Mata Nui online game? The game was a masterpeice in almost every way, almost. I personally would have liked to see more of the Toa and them actually finding the masks. Also, I would have liked to see a little more of Le-Koro/Wahi.
16. What I mean by this is... will we ever see Lego pour the same passion and, well, budget into a toy line that could make it take off the way Bionicle did way back when, at least when it comes to construction figures? Let's think about just how much Bionicle had going on when it began. Okay, so... you have the six main figures. All right, so we have our main heroes. Then you have the Turaga. Okay, now we have a source of exposition and myth-building, along with there now being twice as many masks as before. Then you have the "McToran". Okay, looking good! now the place feels populated. Then you have not only the main Rahi sets... but their combiner models. All right! That'll flesh things out a bit. But then, on top of the actual sets, there were the comics, the CDs that came with the figures, AND probably most important of all... The Mata Nui Online game. In my opinion, this is what made Bionicle what it was. The guys at Templar studios not only made a fun game, but they managed to squeeze soooooo much lore into it, and they did a great job fleshing out the LIFE on the island, really giving Bionicle its identity. I must again refer to the McToran, who came in so many crazy color combinations that you were always meeting new faces. And some time later, came another very important contribution... the master builder 15-in-1 rahi set. This was a potluck of all the animals that appeared in the MNOG, along with a bunch of new ones, and this, along with all the previous Rahi, their combiners, the Toa, The Turaga, and the Matoran just made Bionicle EXPLODE. It was more than just a toy line, it was ALIVE. And in the years that followed, we'd see other stunning places like Metru Nui come to be, but I don't think such things would've been as likely to pass if Bionicle didn't begin the way it did. Now, looking back... I don't think I've ever seen Lego produce anything else with that much life in it. Well, to be fair, they do seem to have put a lot of passion into Legends of Chima... at least in terms of its world, if not the writing >shudder<... but in terms of buildable figures, well... I think you can see where this is going. Okay, so, Bionicle- Toa, Turaga, Matoran, and a huge whopping pile of Rahi. Hero Factory- Heroes, Villains, a hover ship, and a motorbike. ...Compared to the former, the launch of the latter was kind of a step down. Granted, there was also a Hero Factory game, but all you really do in it is just shoot stuff over and over and over until the game itself loops. Aaaand then there's also the show, but... come on. Iook, I don't want to give anybody the wrong idea. I don't hate Hero Factory. In fact, I really LIKE it as a toy line (most of the time. Brain Attack was.... ugh), but I could say the same thing about Bionicle. I could say the same thing about the Slizers, and the Roboriders. No matter what name they go by, I'll probably always enjoy Lego's construction figures. But none of them will resonate with me the way Bionicle did. And that's not just nostalgia talking. When you bought a Bionicle toy, you were also getting this whoooooole world to go along with it. It was an ADVENTURE! Compared to it, Hero Factory's world seems so small despite spanning almost as many planets as a Ratchet n' Clank game. What I think made Bionicle resonate with kids of the time more than the Slizers did, and Hero Factory does now, is that it had a strong BASE. It had a great foundation to build upon, and that's why it sold, and GREW, as explosively as it did. Let's say it didn't have that... let's say it was just the six heroes, a few Rahi, no story, and that's it. Sure, the toys would've been cool, but the line wouldn't resonate like it did. It would be the same as the Slizers, Hero Factory and so on. Nifty toys, but that's it. For some reason, the guys at lego just don't seem to have the same drive for the toys they're making now that they did at the turn of the millenium. I guess Bionicle was the sort of thing that could only happen once, and that's what makes it so enduring. That said, I think it's pretty safe to say Hero Factory won't go on forever. And whenever it goes, I hope Lego doesn't give up on buildable figures altogether. Not only that, but I hope to one day see them produce something that once again has that PASSION and life injected into it, something that really leaves a mark. And contrary to the title of this thread, I don't want it to be a Bionicle clone... just something that could stand as strongly as it did.
17. I have tried for years and I still cant figure it out! What are you supposed to do? I know how to play kohlii but i don't get the game! I just keep clicking for the ball and they ALWAYS BEAT ME! And my goalie just does whatever it wants!!! HELP!!!!!!!!!

MNOG art

Here I will post my MNOG-based creations, so you can admire my 'boredom at home made into a picture'. So, to start let me introduce the ta koro guard defending the ta wahi beach from... whatever it needs defending from. Any feedback, comentaries, discussion, requests, etc are appreciated.
19. I made some icons for MNOG1. I may have went a little overboard... (Click for full size)Just a little bit... You can download them here.
20. I was randomly looking at matoran on Biosector01 when I saw that Midak's pakari looked different then other pakari masks so I checked other matoran, Nuparu had the normal pakari like the one Onua mata had but Nixie also had the same pakari design as Midak atleast in mnog 1. Is there a cause for this difference?
21. Since I didn't explain it well in the title or give a more detailed explanation below. Mata-Nui Online Game or Mata-Nui Online Game 2, which do you think portrayed the areas in Mata-Nui best?
22. Hey guys, I was bored and built something from MNOG. Wasn't actually that hard. / With the Tohunga (I call him Max )/ This is just a generic design, seeing that I don't have a grey Gali hook. P.S. This is for Slifer3000, who asked for things built from MNOG (for stop-motion I presume, judging from his topics).
23. For as long as I can recall, it has been a goal of mine to be able to animate my own videos like the ones seen in Mata-Nui Online Game. Recently, I've begun planning a short film in the vein of those done by Templar that accompanied the BIONICLE.com news updates in 2002 and 2003. With the help of funds generated from http://www.bzpower.com/board/index.php?showtopic=7145]my B/S/T topic and the fact that Adobe gives you a discount if you are a student, I have acquired Flash. With this vital tool in hand, I have been able to begin animating. What I have to share today is a short test animation of Kapura. In it, I am familiarizing myself with Flash and Templar's animation style. Kapura goes through several different motions that are common to Matoran/Tohunga. ....I'll stop boring you with words now. The animation is below: http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/VezokofZakaz/Flash/kapura.swf]Kapura Issues I am already aware of: - There is a strange and distracting clicking sound after some of the usual mechanical sound effects. - The frame rate is too fast. I will have to do a bit of tinkering to figure this out. As you probably know, this is also a problem with any of Templar's animations on modern computers. - Kapura's flame burp was too small and quick. It needs to be made more noticeable, and more closely timed to the sound effect. The symbols used are all the original creations of Templar Studios, and the sound effects are theirs as well, provided by that project of BIONICLE media. All due credit goes to them. Enjoy! Feedback is greatly appreciated.
24. Imagine you were sitting down with the creators of MNOGI & II (Templar Studios). What would you say to them? Would you thank them? Critique them? Beg them for a remake? As many of you are aware, Templar Studios has said that they plan on, among other goodies, potentially re-making the MNOG soundtrack with high-quality audio and updated instruments. Recently, though, they seem to have all but disappeared. I had an idea that maybe we could get their attention by showing how strong our support is for a remake by telling them how profoundly their work had on our interest in BIONICLE and even digital arts in general. I, for one, know that MNOGI was easily the highlight of BIONICLE for me (followed closely by MoL), but beyond that, it's affected my tastes & interests in art, music, and gaming. What about you? How did you feel about MNOG, with it's strange world and well-realized characters? What was your favorite moment? How did it affect you as a BIONICLE fan? As a person?
25. Ever since I first played MNOG ten years ago, Taipu has been by far my favorite character in the entire Bionicle universe. Here he is now in all his glory. For years I've been messing about with Matoran-size mocs, trying to find a design that is compact but not stumpy, posable while still durable, and simple enough that I can build a village's worth if I so desire. I think I've achieved a pretty good balance here. Front Back Torso design And all you canon enthusiasts can complain all you like, but there's no way in Karzahni I'll ever replace that Ruru with a Pakari See ya later
