Okay, so just a quick update about how things are going with me, because it's been a long few days. Clearly, there's the topic of my last blog post. It hit me pretty hard, but I've been feeling better as of late. I'm not gonna discuss it here because a. I don't really want to and b. there's not much to say. It's been a while since I posted the "Love" blog post, and a lot has happened since then. Quick recap: early this year, I fell in love with someone and was confused as to whether she shared my feelings or not. Turns out that she did, and we've both acknowledged that we love each other. We're not "dating" as such right now; on my part, I think that's because I'm sort of uncomfortable with actually going into a legit relationship, and plus a lot is going on in my life with school and extra-curriculars. However, I enjoy having someone that I love and that I know loves me. It's nice having a special person. =D School has ramped up. I'm taking two AP classes with another next semester, two Honors classes, and a regular class. Five classes sounds relaxing but as of late I've found myself swamped with homework and studying, even though it's only the third week of school. I feel like we should have been eased into school a little bit more? So the stress has been very present in my mind and it hasn't been particularly fun. On the gaming side of things, I finally got my dream UNUSUAL in Team Fortress 2 this summer: a Sulphurous Western Wear. It may not seem like much, but I like it quite a lot, and it goes along with my Professional Killstreak Southern Hospitality quite well (it's Manndarin/Hypno Beam). In terms of the VICTORY RUN... I hit a bit of a problem. I have completed the game on Normal difficulty with every ship except for three: the Type C for Mantis, Zoltan, and Stealth Ships, which IMO are the most broken ships in the game. So I've taken a bit of a break from that and have yet to return to it. I bought Skyrim and its DLC during the Steam Summer Sale. SO MANY QUESTS SO LITTLE TIME it's a very fulfilling and fun game though, despite having a few flaws. And finally, Pokemon. Yesterday, I finally caught my first SHINY POKEMON! It's a shiny Riolu, which has 3 perfect IVs because I caught it in the wild (it's part of the Undiscovered Egg group). I was able to get it through the PokeRadar; I chained Riolu up to 40 and got a shiny patch after a few resets of the Radar. It was tedious but totally worth it. I don't get why shiny Riolu/Lucario gets so much hate; I quite like them. Well, that's all for now. Stay safe everyone.

It would be cool if Nintendo would do another Pokémon game similar to Coliseum or XD for the Wii-U. Those were fun games, despite the limited number of Pokémon you could catch. Obviously, such a game would not be exactly the same as Coliseum/XD, but it would be cool if they did that sort of thing anyway. Anyone else agree? -TNTOS-

I've done some updates to my Fakemon design of Reapurder. I mostly rebuilt around the Phantoka Makuta torso so the connections are more legal. I've also changed the back spikes around a bit and reduced the piece count overall. It mostly looks the same just with better building techniques. The head was the only thing I didn't change. As of today, I completed the National Pokedex on Pokemon X! Yay! This is an accomplishment for me because I've never completed the National Pokedex on a Pokemon game before. I only completed this one thanks to the GTS, which, in my opinion, is one of the best things to ever happen to the Pokemon games. Admittedly, I didn't catch literally every Pokemon. The special Legendaries -- Mew, Jirach, Deoxys, Manaphy, Darkrai,Shaymin, Arceus, Keldeo, Meloetta, and Genesect -- were unavailable on the GTS, but apparently they don't count toward the completion of the National Pokedex 'cause I still got the Shiny Charm and special certificate saying that I completed the dex anyway. (Oh, and no, I am not interested in trading for any of the above mentioned Legendaries at the moment, sorry.) Still, I did it and now I am probably going to take a break from X for a while because I've spent too much time playing Pokemon recently . -TNTOS-

"Apparently this Pokémon is born when a departed spirit inhabits a sword. It attaches itself to people and drinks their life force." -- Pokédex entry Gallery (when public) It's not too impressive, but I at least wanted to show off how I made the blade shape. Also don't bother waiting for the gallery to be public; three pictures are a variation of the first one and the fourth is a back view for the sake of showing the back, which is significantly worse. Also, I didn't even bother with the sheath. I was already sick of working on this when I reached the arm.

In my quest to build piles of pokemon I attempted Scraggy. Goodness I need a good photo taking place.

After fully EV'ing my Dragonite I was board of playing online so I went over to the Battle Maison and cobbled together a team to harvest a little BP. Dragonite was in the lead with this spread: Adamant EVs: 252 Atk / 252 Spe / 4 HP Moves: Thunderpunch (Pikablu and Togekiss are pains), Dragon Dance, Earthquake, Dragon Claw Item: Lum Berry. Ability: Multiscale The other two members were Mega-Kanga with Fake Out/Sucker Punch and Cloyser with Shell Smash and Focus Sash. Didn't really expect anything great from these dudes, but I was only trying to have fun so it didn't matter. 40 Battles into the Super Single Challenge and I thought, "Darn!" this strat really works. Basically, open with Dragonite and get a DD boost. Multiscale and the lum will protect you, so you're almost guaranteed one boost. Then deal as much damage as possible and clean up with one of the other two after 'Nite dies. At least, I thought so until I met some really powerful Ice Pokemon in the first three battles, each one of them in the lead spot. Pro tip: Icicle Crash KO's through Multiscale. Anyways, I was sure this was a fail team, but I kept chugging away. After some time (as long as there was no Ice pokes in the lead spot packing Crash ) I realized Dragonite was just as crazy good as ever. When my 41st opponent had a team of Cobalion, Terrakion, and Tornadus and 'Nite destroyed them all (taking a stone edge from Terrakion like a boss) I was convinced, this team was pretty good. I beat the Maison head at battle #50 and got a statue erected in my honor, 50 BP, and a snazzy Trainer Card upgrade. What experiences have you guys had with the Battle Maison? Any stories, "What the Heck?" moments, or the like? Let me know, and thanks for taking the time to read my rambles!

Just something I had in mind. I'll only be building humanoid Pokemon, so expect more maybe? So far, Golurk and Scizor have been made, both in original and shiny colors. Gallery

So I finally nabbed Pokemon X for my birthday (which was on Thursday: happy birthday me!). However, the cartridge doesn't work. The 3DS won't read it. That makes me just a little bit annoyed. So we're heading to Gamestop today to get a replacement today. Hopefully nothing goes wrong...?

Pokemon: Rise of the RocketsOperation: RallyA "Rise of the Rockets" fangame InfoA ROM hack of Fire Red. When released, alphas and betas will be given in .ips format. No base will be provided.Last updated: December 25, 2012Completion status: ~10% doneIntroductionThis is a fangame of an awesome RPG, Rise of the Rockets, made by Parugi. I've been RPing since the beginning and watched the game grow. At first, I was skeptical that a working game could be created, since there is so much story. I have recently found a solution, however, and I am attempting to re-create this story as a playable Pokemon game. I've tried in the past, and failed. I think this is my third attempt, and you know what they say, third time's the charm. What I plan to do is create essentially four games: Two following Team Rocket, and two following Team Liberty.I know that I'm reaching out to a probably small audience, but if you are a Pokemon fan, please look through this post. If you see something you like, take a moment to reply. If you have any suggestions, don't be afraid to speak out! More likely than not, I will consider and implement it. Feedback is more helpful than most people think. StoryIf you have played the RPG:Following Team Liberty, the game covers most points up to the Manaphy Arc.If you have not played the RPG:"Story in a NutshellTwenty years prior to the events of the RPG, Giovanni's abilities as leader of Team Rocket were called into question. A group of ambitious Rocket Administrators, called the Shadow Admins, overthrew him and orchestrated a master plot to take over the four main regions -- Kanto, Johto, Hoenn and Sinnoh. After infiltrating the governments of those areas, they succeeded, and now rule with a supposed iron fist.In response to this, several small groups of trainers attempted to rebel; all were defeated and imprisoned or killed. One of these groups -- Team Liberty -- moved their operations to the Sevii Islands, a small region that they had managed to erase from the Rocket's database. Here they turned their rag-tag team into an organized fighting force, declaring war on Team Rocket soon after.Twelve years after Team Liberty's formation, the war has shifted in favor of Team Rocket. Desperate, Goldhawk, Bluefalcon and Blackskull, the leaders of Team Liberty, decided to send several small groups of newly recruited and trained Agents to search for the Gym Leaders, Elite Four members, and Legendary Pokémon and trainers that Team Rocket had driven into hiding, to assist them in the war."This game in particular follows Team Liberty. You start off as a newly recruited agent and will search for Legendary Pokémon, Gym Leaders, and famous trainers, while doing everything you can to help out in the war. Most events are canon and will closely resemble the RPG.Features, planned and implemented-16 different starter Pokemon-Play through parts of Kanto, Johto, Hoenn, and Sinnoh-Pokedex featuring 303 Pokemon-44 Gen 4 Pokemon-29 Gen 5 Pokemon-Battle player-controlled characters from the RPG-Options on what to do, story-wise!-Updated Pokemon stats, movesets, and evolution methods--No longer do you have to trade to evolve Pokemon like Haunter and Machoke-Increased difficulty-Not a walk in the park; The game strays away from traditional games, offering a new experience-Wild Pokemon will increase in level as you progress through the story-Physical/Special Split from Gen 4 into Gen 3!-Includes some Gen 4/5 moves-Day and night systemScreenshotsFour Island Expansion(Yes, I will be updating trainer sprites soon)DownloadsCurrently, none.Next predicted release: Shooting for sometime in January. The blogs got amnesia, but it did, I remember. Friend code yay: 0576-4386-4501 Obsessed Elite Four triumphant team (plus two or three levels): Quacklin' (Farfetch'd Lv. 97) Jedward (Greninja Lv. 81) Blaziken (Blaziken Lv. 83) Hermione (Sigilyph Lv. 82) Norik (Charizard Lv. 80) Mordecai (Linoone Lv. 79) Xaeraz the Honedge, Scatcat the Vivillon, and Xaviander the Xerneas helped along the way. Verdict: Pokemon is absolutely amazing. How did I live this long without it? *For Trade* I desperately want Mewtwonite Y. I have Mewtwonite X. Firstly, I don't know if there is even an item-trading system, but if there is, I want to make this trade.

I've got a Pokemon related cosplay coming up, and I decided I wanted an egg to carry around with me. While I can minimally use a needle and thread, I haven't really made anything like this before. I found a seller online dealing in DIY Yoshi Eggs, so I purchased one and assembled it. It turned out pretty nice. It is nice and soft and fluffy and fluffy and cuddly soft. Now of course at this point you are realizing "but sisen that isn't a Pokmeon egg... that's a Yoshi egg" I present to you my very own Eevee egg. It turned out pretty nice. It isn't as soft or fluffy or cuddly or fluffy as the Yoshi egg, but it still is pretty nice. Besides a few snags with sewing on the pattern it looks pretty good if I do say so myself. Now I just need to finish the remainder construction of the cosplay, which involves even more advanced sewing. It probably took me at least 4+ hours on each egg because I sewed everything by hand, and I have no sewing machine. The Eevee egg took even longer since I had to do the template myself, make the pattern, and cut it all up and hope it worked. -
My Day at the Pokémon VGC National Championships
Makuta_of_Oz posted a blog entry in blogs_blog_1719
Yesterday, I finally got the chance to attend a Pokémon Video Game National Championships, something I've been dreaming of ever since the series started in 2009! The event was held in Victoria, Australia, at the Melbourne Showgrounds. I had been working until late the night before to get my team ready. However, one of my Pokémon was below level 50, and when I arrived at the tournament, I discovered that all Pokémon below level 50 would NOT get scaled up like every other Pokémon! So I ended up spending a frantic half-hour levelling it up before I could register! At last, I entered: just another one out of a total of 180 entrants, the equal biggest tournament I've entered! My first round was displayed on the big screen, which was an honour. Using the same rain wind team I've been using for a while (albeit modified and improved), I was able to take out my opponent 4-0. My opponent ended up making quite a few rookie mistakes, such as using Will-o-Wisp to burn my Politoed when my physical-attacking Toxicroak was also in play, and then using Hydro Pump on Toxicroak, healing it because of Dry Skin! My second round match went almost as well --- another 4-0 victory. I forget most details of that match, but I do remember my opponent at one point tried a Waterfall attack, which was absorbed by my Gastrodon's Storm Drain, adding to the power it was already receiving from Politoed's Surf. After my unbeaten run thus far, I was proud of at least getting past round 2, a round I have a bad habit of losing. But I tried not to get cocky: last time I went to round 3 without loss, I lost my 3rd round match. My third round match came before too long. Again I forgot most of what happened, but I do remember I finally lost one of my Pokémon (I can't even remember which it was). In the end it was a convincing 3-0 win. In round 4, I was once again on the big screen. I faced what looked to be a hail room team. Deciding on my team proved difficult: I ended up changing my team at the last second. I led with Politoed and Toxicroak, while my opponent led with Abomasnow and Eelektross. During the first turn, Toxicroak Faked Out Abomasnow, while Eelektross used a surprisingly underpowered Discharge, which, even with a critical hit (softened by a Wacan Berry though), did less than 50% damage. Surf in turn did less, leading me to believe it was bulky. Next turn, Toxicroak KO'd Abomasnow with Drain Punch, and was then KO'd by Eelektross' Acrobatics. Next turn, I sent out Scizor, and the opponent sent out Amoongus. Panicking (I hate fighting Amoongus), I took the risk of double-attacking it. Scizor was able to OHKO it with Acrobatics, and Politoed's Ice Beam finished off Eelektross, leaving me on the right side of a 3-1 advantage. With a little difficulty and the loss of my Politoed I ended up winning once again. By now I was VERY proud of how I was going! Immediately after the match, I was called aside for an interview by representatives from Nintendo Australia! I agreed, but was very nervous, having never been interviewed before. I explained my mindset going into the tournament, and how I had been going, as well as what I knew about how others battle. The interview should be on Nintendo Australia's website within a week, hopefully. At last, the top 8 round began. I decided not to use Politoed in this match… a decision I regretted. Without Politoed's rain (or that of my opponent, who also had Politoed but didn't use it), my Tornadus' Hurricane never hit the opposing Breloom when I wanted it to, and paralysis from Liepard's Thunder Wave only made things worse. In the end I was defeated 2-0. The guy who beat me went on to become one of our two representatives at the World Championships in Vancouver! Despite my defeat, and my falling agonisingly short of battling for a spot in Worlds (I'm still haunted by the thought of what would've happened had I used Politoed in that match), I still had a great day, and learned a lot about my team (like how much it depends on Politoed to work). Hopefully I'll be inspired enough to take my knowledge and skills into the next generation next year! Best of luck and fortune to our representatives in Vancouver this August! -
Australia in Pokemon Video Game World Championships! :D
Makuta_of_Oz posted a blog entry in blogs_blog_1719
That's right! Australia is officially a part of the Pokémon Video Game World Championships! :D :D This weekend and next weekend, we will be holding State championships, where we will be competing for entry into our very own Pokémon Video Game National Championships, held in PAX Australia, right here in Melbourne! Ever since Worlds started in 2009, I have been campaigning long and hard for Australia to get a fair go in Worlds, and a long last my labours, and those of many other like-minded fans, have paid off! Needless to say, I WILL be participating in States. At my skill level the odds are slim that I'll make Nationals, but I will nonetheless enjoy the atmosphere, and the fact that I have achieved a lifelong goal! One life goal down, three to go! -
Great day today. Made a personal best performance in today's charity Pokémon tournament, coming third! I won a Pokémon Black & White shirt that features silhouettes of Reshiram and Zekrom. I have a photo of me wearing it, but idk if I'm allowed to post it.

I drew this for a school assignment, and I thought I'd share it with you guys. Yes, I know the lines look like , they scanned funky and not even hours of GIMP editing could fix them completely. Enjoy!

Because every Pokémon fan knew there'd be huge reception. OK, my opinions on this new game are: 1) THAT WAS QUICK! A new generation only two years after the release of the previous! 2) This is the first generation EVER where the first revealed Pokémon are its starters! 3) I believe Pokémon sprites as we know them are no more. There is WAY too much animation now! 4) WILL MACHOP AND THE EEVEELUTIONS BE AVAILABLE??? 5) on the topic of Machop's availability, it may be a version exclusive, whose exclusive partner is Timburr.

I have just heard from a highly-respected Pokémon forum that once again, Australia has been banned from participating from next year's Video Game World Championships. Once again, Australia has failed to prove themselves worthy of matching skills with the rest of the world. Are we not good enough? Is our Government that pathetic? Are we as a people too criminal? What exactly did Australian Pokémon fans, as a group, ALL do wrong to deserve being banned? Of course, we CAN participate if we buy an expensive plane ticket to a country that hadn't been banned, and participate with them, so if you're devoted enough, and not studying or on benefits, you could attend worlds and protest against the unfair go Australians are getting.

Before reading, please read the Review Topic for some important information.Chapter 1- BlackI opened my eyes. There was wreckage all around me. I remembered another life, a life of... I could not remember much, as black shadows blotted out most of my memories- The same shadows in my heart. But what I did see was light. A faint feeling of warmth and purity. Then... a great darkness came, and my memories ended there. I looked around.I noticed the air was stagnant. I saw several beings, all of them dead. Then I caught a glimpse of my reflection in a puddle of fluid. Those corpses... all had the same face as me. Panic seized my heart. No, no, this can't be real. Why are these dark impulses in my heart? Why am I here? I- I don't understand! I can't remember my past, but I know it wasn't anything like this? Where am I? What's happening? Why can't I remember? This can't be real. It has to be a dream. Wake up. Yes, wake up, Takanuva. Wait- Takanuva? Is that my name? Yes, my name is Takanuva. I remember that now. But what the karzahni is going on here? Calming down, I took another look. There was a complex machine, one that I could not hope to understand. Curiosity got the better of me, and I took a closer look, ignoring the sheer rage coursing through my mind. The machine, it still had a spark of power. I focused my light power, trying to get enough light to examine it further. But instead of light, a bolt of shadow shot out of my hand and destroyed the control panel. Before I could consider the changes that had occurred, I felt a strange sensation. I was moving. I found myself on a strange island. I realized that I must have activated some sort of teleporter and transported myself to an unknown location. Examining my armor, I noticed that it was not white and gold, but black and gray. I quickly pushed those disturbing thoughts from my mind and looked around. Right up against the eastern shore of the island was a door of sorts. I felt strangely compelled to escape, leave this place, which reeked of death, as if the land itself had died. And so, surrendering to my instincts, I walked out the door, and into a whole new world.

So, there was another Pokémon tournament in the city yesterday! The tournament used the same rules as the past 3 Nintendo-run tournaments did, so I didn't bother to build a new team. Besides, my last team did well, and there's another tournament next week that uses different rules. My first round was put on the big screen, this time not by design but by coincidence! I almost lost the battle but then a communication error (not the only one on the big screen) forced us to restart the battle and let me make up for my mistake. Even then though, I had to work for my victory! Thankfully I was able to get there in a close one. I ended up losing in the second round though, just like the good old days. The guy who beat me then went on to beat October's champion (who I would've faced in the next round had I won) before falling in the 5th round. A lot of people were given the opportunity to commentate some matches if they asked! I got the chance, but it was actually because someone else asked: the guy I beat in round 1 in October (The SelfDestructing victim of my Conkeldurr's Wide Guard >) asked for me to commentate, so I did! He went on to win the match while being able to pull off the Selfdestruct well, meaning he did better than I did! One player was in hospital, and had his father play on his behalf, giving him commands by phone from his hospital bed! In the end a girl won, which was a first in these tournaments! She was one of many competitors that was part of my large circle of friends (whose name I don't think I'm allowed to say because they now have a forum). Stay tuned for the next tournament next Sunday!

If anyone is free to consult with be about a MOC, please post here or message me. I have a few ideas I'd like to talk over with some other builders before I start pursuing the idea.
