  1. People! Go to The official Pokémon website's Vote To Befriend A Pokémon page and vote Ditto! If Ditto wins we get one with the Imposter ability, which allows it to transform into its opponent immediately upon entering battle! UNITY! DUTY! DESTINY! wait what
  2. Hey there BZPower, TakuaTheAvrahk here, and it's good to be back! I made these a while ago, but I couldn't post them here then. So here they are! More:http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/268618 More:http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/268619 More:http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/268961
  3. So I just heard part of one of the old Pokemon show. Boy does that bring back memories.
  4. Just a topic for my drawings and such that are not Bionicle or Lego related.I'll probably be updating this topic, so if you like what you see, feel free to check back from time to time. ^^ Newest Drawing: Pokemon:Sunset: A Dragon's GraceI am very happy with the way this turned out. I recently decided to move in a different direction with my style and coloring. This was a test drawing to see how the system would work. Why Didn't I Evolve Into You?This one was my first test drawing for my new style as mentioned above. It was just a quick sketch, but people seem to like this one. ^^' Legend of Zelda:In the Hands of a GiantThis drawing actually inspired one of my OCs - a healing fairy named Cecilia from the Zelda franchise. Defending KakarikoMy original character, Eve. Not too happy with the colors in this one, but I generally like her pose and Mt Doom in the background. Pokemon and Legend of Zelda belong to Nintendo, Tangled belongs to Disney. Hope you like them. ^^
  5. This is the Bellsprout that follows me around on my journey, always out of sight. It wants to join my team and my quest, but is far too shy to approach me and ask. Sometimes it can have its own adventures, and every so often its actions save me from danger, though I never realise.
  6. I owe BZP this update on my Pokemon tournament status. Just before the tournament in April, the forums went down, and stayed down for 5 and a half months! In that time, THREE Pokemon tournaments have gone by! In the first tournament, I used the infamous Whimsicott+Terrakion combo. The way that combo worked was this: Whimsicott uses Beat Up on Terrakion, activating its Justified ability FOUR TIMES, boosting its Attack FOUR STAGES! Terrakion would then use Rock Slide to demolish both opponents at once! If done right, the match would be over in 2 turns! Sadly, everyone knew, and was ready for, the combo, and I lost in the first round. In the second tournament, held in July, I used a Tailwind team. Sadly, I over-prepared for the then-obsolete Whimsicott-Terrakion combo, and again lost in the first round. :crying: In the third tournament, held just a week ago, I decided to go back to my roots, and use a team I know works well: a Trick Room team. Not only did I get past the first two rounds (creating a new personal best in the process ) but I managed to do it without losing ANY Pokemon! I then lost in the third round to one of the four semi-finalists. If Australia is invited to next year's World Championships, I'll know what kind of team I'll be using there!
  7. Just last night I finally got my final Pokemon ready for the tournament, and still with a week to spare! Now all I need to do is practice with them. I recently found out that we can switch Pokemon between battles, so I'm considering training a Psychic Pokemon and maybe a Chandelure, since the former could counter the main counter to my team, and the latter is all-round powerful. It's unlikely that any other BZPers will be attending the tournament in Melbourne, but if you do, look for the AC/DC shirt.
  8. It's been a while since my last entry because I've been working so hard with my Pokemon training (among other things), so I decided I'd give an update. I've finally finished EV training my team, and have started teaching them their moves. As an added bonus, my Zoroark has just the Hidden Power I wanted: Ice! So, I've already taught it that move and look forward to adding it to my surprise attacks in the tournament! Sadly, my Swanna can't learn Waterfall, so I'll have to capture another water-type to use the move in order to get that Flamethrower TM, again for Zoroark. The hardest part IMO will be levelling up my Amoongus so it'll learn Rage Powder and Spore. I'll put it in daycare, but what are the odds I'll forget about it?
  9. It's a very good add-on that they've created for Black and White. It's not the best it could be, but it's definitely a step up from the Pokewalker. However, I'm still not too keen on the hour limit for the Dream World, what with the fact that on my computer, I get a lot of lag, likely because said computer is near-obsolete, if it isn't already, and is probably over 7 years old. =P However, the Global Link in general is pretty cool, though there are still some glitches that can be seen, which will hopefully be fixed sometime in the future. And EZ Mail is fail. Which also rhymes. =P Worse than MLN's messaging system, as in even more restrictive. Heck; even the mail system in the games is better. xD The Global Battle Union is pretty cool; though I haven't gotten a chance to actively test it just yet... partly because I'm still reworking my team. =P However, I do believe that the Dream World interface could be updated, and that the profile part of the main page could be redesigned; I don't care if this is the second time it's done, it's missing key info. =P For one, it doesn't tell you if there's any new messages(And what with it being so restrictive, you're not likely to check it actively); and there's no notice in the Dream World or on the main page that someone wishes to add you to the Dream Pal Roster... Someone sent me a request last night, and I didn't see it until after I had already finished up in the Dream World(Due to that silly hour limit). Now I have to wait for tonight for that. Overall, it's a very nice application; however... It needs to be expanded when the next games come out or sooner, that's for sure.
  10. So, it launched today. I just started up my PGL account, and am about to test out the Dream World now(Or at least shortly. =P)... Let's hope nothing fails. =D

  13. You know I'm busy if I miss a day submitting an entry! Anyway, I completed the main story of Pokemon White, but I won't focus on hunting the sages until I need the TMs they give me. Instead, I'm gonna focus on getting the Power Items, and then EV training my Pokemon and teaching them their moves. I hatched a Jolly Axew just minutes ago, so I'm pretty much done breeding.
  14. "Err... Anyone want any Arceus? I've got tons of those now..." =P Between that and Bulbasaur, I'm set. xP
  15. For the rest of April, my activity on BZPower will drop. Why? Because yet another Pokemon tournament is coming to Australia! The Pokemon Video Game World Championships refuse to give us a fair go, so Nintendo Australia will be holding state tournaments across the country to partway make up for it! We'll be using the same rules as the VGC are this year: Double battles, Unova Pokemon only. How that will relate to my drop in BZPower activity? Well, I'm gonna train hard and get a team ready for the tournament! Nothing is going to stop me from entering this tournament (until further notice, since my nan still isn't well)!
  16. I just played a new game on the official Pokemon website that will allow me to get an Eevee evolution with a unique ability when the Global Link finally gets up and running, and the Eeveelution I won was ESPEON! While Espeon normally have the special ability Synchronise, which copies most status (like poison) that is inflicted on it, this Espeon will have the epic ability Magic Mirror, which reflects ANYTHING used against it that doesn't do damage. Try to poison it with Toxic? You get poisoned! Try to Taunt it? YOU get Taunted! Try to set up Spikes while it's in play? YOU get the spikes! Try to force it out with Whirlwind? YOU get forced out! I use this Espeon on a simulator alongside a Ditto with Eccentric (who transforms into the opponent immediately upon entering), and it's done AMAZINGLY! Not to mention it's fun to play such a cunning trick!
  17. It turns out that Darumaka was actually the THIRD wild Pokemon I found with Pokerus! A Magnemite I captured in Diamond last year had Pokerus when I captured it, but I already had Pokemon with Pokerus in my party, so I thought maybe it got it from them. But a recent post in the Official Pokemon Topic proved that theory wrong: No. You need to have a pokerus infected 'mon in the lead, and battle some wild pokemon. After a few rounds, it will infect the pokemon next to it... if you switch the second infected to the 6th slot, it infects the 5th, and the 3rd slot gets infected. (Speeds it up).
  18. Last night my friend offered me his Deoxys for my Pokemon White game, not caring what I gave him. Being a fan of Deoxys, I agreed, and captured a Darumaka to give him. We traded, and then all of a sudden, the other guy told me (we were talking to each other on online chat at the same time) that the Darumaka had POKERUS! Well, you should've seen the look on my face! Not only did I find Pokerus, but I just traded away my only Pokemon with it! Since this was the SECOND time I found Pokerus (I still have Pokemon with it when I first found some in Diamond while EV training my Porygon), I was debating whether I should get it back briefly, and in the end I decided to. I traded my Sandile to him in exchange, and then spread the Pokerus around a bit. Meanwhile, my friend trained my Sandile and even evolved it into Krokorok! He was about to evolve it again, but I asked him not to (having Sandile and Krookodile but never Krokorok would've looked wierd). So then we traded back. I've yet to try it out again, but since my next gym challenge will be against Electric-types it should do VERY well!
  19. We all know about the dangerous primate animal that lives in our city streets called the "street teenager" (or "chav" in Europe). I remember once thinking, "What if street teenagers were Pokémon? What typing would they have?" I figured they'd be a combination Dark/Fighting type, because those two types fit street teenagers perfectly. "Dark" because they're nocturnal and evil, and "Fighting" because of their violent nature. Then came the 5th generation of Pokémon games (Pokémon Black and White), and --- SHOCK HORROR --- we get two street teenager Pokémon: Scraggy and Scrafty! And what's their type combination? Dark/Fighting! I think Game Freak likes street teenagers as much as I do! Scraggy: Scrafty:
  20. Come on, you know Machop is cute! I mean, who couldn't love those endearing eyes? That adorable face? That loving embrace? Just don't call it cuddly or else it will hurt you.
  21. This is dedicated to the GTS. Ah, the GTS, and your extremely weird trades. Where seeing a Dialga getting traded for a Bidoof is a normal day. You have fair trades at times; but they get traded so quickly most people don't know about it. Now why couldn't you have fixed it this time, or at least added more options to search? I mean, the Negotiation feature is fine(Even if I haven't tried it just yet); but that doesn't mean you should just ignore the normal part of it. And since Gen 5 is locked off from Gen 4 in terms of trades; there's no excuse for having it be the exact same as before. I must say; however; it is a very good thing they left out the 'trade time lockout' thing from searching this time. Where you had to trade like 100 things in two minutes to access the full listings of trades. Now all 7 or under are available from the start. Also, it's funny... Trades like version exclusive trades are traded with the snap of a finger. But a male Oshawott for a Female Tepig or Snivy(I tried both); stay pending for hours. I don't have time to breed yet, since I haven't got any hatching helpers yet(Waiting on Flame Body Pokemon... Still waiting...), but people assume that others can get Female Starters with the snap of a finger apparently. ... Granted, I'm doing the same, but... Current Party: Musharna(Musharna) Level 24(Male) Modest Gonzo(Sawk) Level 25(Male) Careful3 Wottergun(Dewott) Level 25(Female)Naive1 Darumaka(Darumaka) Level 15(Male) Jolly Blitzle(Blitzle) Level 25(Female) Lax Lillil(Petitlil) Level 25(Female) Modest2 Side Notes: 1: I used your suggestion, Nero. xP 2: Thank you Black, for having this trade built into the game. This is the reason I actually went with Black, because the rest of the version exclusives I really wanted were in White. =P 3: ... 0_o Gonzo's in Firefox's dictionary? Wow. =P
  22. Okay, this is more in general than anything. So, with a new generation, comes a ton of new HM changes, as normal. Three are made normal, and a few make some returns. But as with Generation 3; you cannot transfer Pokemon with HM Moves. My question? Why? Surely, Nintendo, with your fancy powers, and your fancy abilities to remove stuff most fans like(Vs Seeker anyone?), as well as add awesome new stuff at the same time; you can actually remove that limitation, and not allow people to somehow obtain a Surf/Flying Pikachu every single generation; and not make people suffer through the slowness of deleting moves in Generation 4, before transferring the Pokemon to Generation 5. And exactly why is it needed anyhow? It's not like the item removal, which was likely simply to prevent people from getting crafty with sending up obsolete TMs, as both the coding for what it teaches and the actual coding for the TMs was changed. No; the moves still exist. And the HGSS/DPPt dilemma shows that they can easily shift the HM Block flags between games, which they have, Defog, Rock Smash, and Whirlpool are able to be deleted at will. So why do we need to delete the moves before sending them up? >_> It can't be because of the ingame reason(Which has also been obsolete for the past few Generations, ever since you couldn't store the HMs in the PC) of getting stuck; if you have access to put Pokemon in the PC; you have access to the HMs and can easily teach a Pokemon new moves. And if it's because the HMs no longer exist; then exactly how are we able to send up Pokemon with moves from the old TMs? Generation 6 better not have an HM blocker, Nintendo. If you hand out a Surfing Pikachu or Flying one, I want to keep it. And if Generation 6 is somehow even faster than Generation 5... Then I don't wanna have to spend hours in a slower game just to transfer six Pokemon, like DPPt/HGSS. =P
  23. Just a slight Entry Title reinvention for the entries now... You can't tell the number correctly from the front page. =P Anyway, this entry is gonna be about the PokeTransfer. So; once you beat the game, as with Gen 4, you have the ability to transfer all 493 of your Pokemon(Minus spiky eared Pichu for some strange reason) from your Generation 4 DS games, to Black and White. However, this is done slightly differently from the Generation 4 method. First of all, the option isn't on the menu. You have to head to the PokeTransfer Lab(I'll get to that in a second), and activate it there. You'll also need two DS systems, since they never made dual slotting a reality, even with the 3DS. Besides; it's obvious why here... First of all, assuming you've beaten the game, you have to go onto Route 16, past the Marvelous Bridge(If this is the first time here, you get the three orbs from Platinum(Adamant, Griseous and Lustrous) here), and onto the adjoining Route. It's a fairly short route in a way, but the biggest thing here, is the PokeTransfer Lab, up the stairs, next to the bridge. You can't miss it, literally. =P Go in there, and everyone starts to be amazed that you have 8 badges, and allow you access to the PokeTransfer machine; as long as you have a second DS. Once you start it up, you need to go to DS Download Play on your second DS, and click on the resulting option. Then, once it all loads, you have to select 6 Pokemon that don't have HM moves from HG/SS or D/P/Pt on them.(If you have Whirlpool in D/P/Pt, you can transfer it, and the same with Defog in HG/SS.) Don't worry about the no item clause; it auto-goes off when you accept. After that; flip fully over to the second DS. For some reason, the PokeTransfer Minigame plays on that DS, instead of the main one. Might have something to do with the fact that it's not fully transferred yet. Anyway; it's a fairly simple minigame, much faster than the Pal Park. And it's also a minigame that I really believe should have been available to play even without a second DS, as it's much better than the Pokemon Musical, which only serves to gain more accessories... Because even though it's simple, it's pretty fun. The objective is to use a bow to shoot PokeBalls(Looks more like Great Balls to me, though) at the six Pokemon you transferred. You have to hit them while they're moving from patch to patch, or you won't capture them. If you hit the bush while they're hiding, but looking out, you'll force the Pokemon to move from patch to patch. If you hit the bush while it's simply hiding, however, the ball will bounce off. The best thing, however, is that theoretically, you could migrate all 493 Pokemon in a single session, because it asks automatically after you finish if you want to transfer more. One thing awesome about Pokemon transferred from gen 3 to Gen 4 and then from Gen 4 to Gen 5, is that it has a special message on it's summary in Gen 5: "Apparently arrived at *Level* after a long travel through time." 24. So, as I mentioned yesterday in the Champion Special entry; I beat the game. Therefore, the whole eastern half of Unova opened up. That includes Black City. Black City is a very large city, that is, as the name suggests, covered in black buildings with differently coloured neon lights. There are different trainers outside, who use Pokemon of varying levels. You can fight said people once every day. These people use pretty much exclusively old Pokemon, in their fully evolved forms. In the central building, there are different shops, where you can buy special items, like overpriced Star Pieces and Nuggets, or the different Shards from RSE and Gen 4. I believe there's Evo Stones too; but my city doesn't have those. In the central building, there are also Rotation Battles available. Would've liked one to have been a Triple Battle, but ah well. There's a mayor, who wishes you to battle a certain number of trainers outside. However, if you don't have access to the Entralink, you have to battle over multiple days to get enough battles to please him, since it works over different days. So, as I was just alluding to, you need to use the Entralink to get people to go to Black City. To do this, you need to visit White Forest over the Entralink, and talk to people there. Then they'll head to your City. However, that doesn't help people who don't know anyone with White, or doesn't have both versions and two DS systems. >_> That being said, Black City is interesting, and is a good source of EXP, as all the Pokemon are typically in the 40s or higher; but if you only have one game, you don't have access to many trainers or shop items. I myself have four trainers; which isn't all that bad. However, if I miss talking to them every day, I'll lose access to them apparently. And since I have no other game, and don't know anyone with White; I won't be able to replace them. So, Nintendo, next time you decide to make something in Pokemon that works like the Entralink and Underground... Make it accessible over Wi-Fi! 25. So; day 8. I now have all 8 badges. The Pokemon League is looming ahead. So; while the rest of the Pokemon world is in peril; I'll take a slight rest to blog. =P First off. Dragonspiral Tower. It's amazing. Seriously. I kinda wish it had've been expanded, and had some twists to the puzzles like you'd see in a Zelda game; but Pokemon was never supposed to be Zelda, so I don't care about that. =P But it's a really awesome area. And as you're kicking Plasmaaaaaaaaaaa off the Tower, you think of how it opens up awesome opportunities in that way. =P But what's really amazing are two things. First off... » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «Did the player character just think something?! That's big, so I'm keeping it spoilered for now. But really; if that happened like I think it did... That's a major step forward, all on it's own. And secondly... That cutscene at the end was amazing. We get to see Red Eyes in all his glory. =P ... Oh? What's that? It was Zekrom? Oh, whoops, wrong series. =P But seriously; that scene was awesome. And that was only a one or two second one. If we actually get RS remakes; I definitely want to see some of the Kyogre/Groudon scenes like that. And if it incorporates some of the Emerald things into it; then the awakening/fleeing scenes could be just like the one from Dragonspiral; and there's no reason it couldn't be. And while I really would like the Player Character to be shown in said scenes as well, it still works, because it could be from the PC's perspective. Second, the story. It's one of the best storylines in the Pokemon series, period. I have to say, it even rivals the first Mystery Dungeon game, though technically that's not all that had to do. =P Third... Opelucid. I like how it looks; and the fact that it's got two separate variants to it. Kinda small though. =/ The Gym's awesome though; they really went all out on it's design. =D Anyway; that's it, for now. But I'm reaching the endgame soon, so we'll see. =D Party Status Update: Gothitelle(Gothitelle) Level 49(Female) Gentle Eelektross(Eelektross) Level 49(Female) Careful Darmanitan(Darmanitan) Level 49(Male) Jolly Lillil(Lilligant) Level 50(Female) Modest Wottergun(Samurott) Level 50(Female) Naive Katie(Zoroark) Level 50(Female) Hasty Badge Status: All 8 Badges obtained.(Trio Badge, Basic Badge, Insect Badge, Bolt Badge, Quake Badge, Jet Badge, Freeze Badge, Legend Badge) Game Status: Right outside of the Badge Check Gates.
