Apparently Frankenstein Conquers the world arrived on the second, but a yellow slip was not put in our P.O box. I got it today. Good film. On a side note, School got out for my sisters today, while I have a day left. Of course, it isn't much, considering they have A Month and A half off while I have Three . I have nothing left to say, besides the fact that Fibber McGee and Molly (aka "The Johnson Wax Program with Fibber McGee and Molly") is great. -009 out

Last Tuesday, I ordered Two DVD's from amazon, Ghidorah The Three-Headed Monster and Frankensetein Conqures the world. Both are Giant Monster films from Toho. The tracking page said the former would arrive yesterday, while the later would arrive on the 7th. Dad just came back from the Post office, and Lo! Ghidorah is here! Now I'm off to watch it. I might do a review of it. But whatever... -009 out

Indiana Jones And The Kingdom Of The Crystal Skull
GreenBioGuy posted a blog entry in blogs_blog_1071
I hath seen it. Doth I recommend said movie to thou? A resounding YES. Why? Read on, but thou must be warned, brave traveler, that much information is about to be disclosed to thou ears. If thou dost not wish to have said movie ruined for thyself, then read no further. ... ... *electric warping sound* ... ... *pops back into the 21st century* ... ... Hey guys! Well, my dad and I went to see Indy last Thursday, and I thought that I would write a little review. To start off with, the movie was a lot better than I was expecting. It was at least as good as the first Indy movie, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Why do I think this? Well, the movie has alot of great action scenes, there was a good spattering of humor in it, and it was just like classic Indy. I really liked the beginning that was in and around the Warehouse (though Indy surviving the Atomic blast was really far fetched, though funny) as well as the jungle battle/chase/duel. Those ants give you the creeps though. Mutt, I mean Henry Jones the 3rd, was one of my favorite characters. He was jumpy and nervous at the beginning, but you could really tell that he matured over the course of the movie. I especially liked his interaction with Indy, there was some good humor there. The producers also did a good job of using Ford's age to their advantage, which lead to a good bit of the humor. Oh, and one more thing, they had a really good villainess. Irina was one tough gal, she fit in perfectly, and she was so different than all of the other bad guys in the previous films. Of course, the whole alien thing was... different. And while I do not agree that aliens exist, it was good for the movie. The fascinating thing about the Indy movies is that you have the Ark of the Covenant, some pagan stones, the Holy Grail, and now an alien skull as the object of Indy's search. And in each of these movies, each of these artifacts actually contain power, in other words, the stories behind them are real and true. However, the theology behind them conflict. You have two artifacts that are from the Bible, and yet two others that are pagan/non-theistic. I just found this interesting to think about. What do you say? So in other words, the actual artifact that Indy was searching for, and the tales and powers behind it, weren't good at all. However, the movie was very, very good over all. There was a great variety of types of scenes: action, fighting (fists, swords, guns, you name it), hunting, solving riddles, spooky graveyards in the dead of night (I never can figure out why the characters in movies have to go at night to the graveyards), raging rivers, jungle chases, and of course a dimensional rift and a flying UFO. What's my final word? Go see it! ~GBG~ -
Iron Man was the best movie ever. Robert Downey Jr. is like an adult version of me.

... I just watched it. It was aweeeeeeeesome.

Nope, not Ta-Su-Xai, but the "Eragon" movie. It's not so bad when you watch it expecting to be disappointed (figure that one out why don't you). Basically, I had heard they ruined it, and I already knew some of the flaws. Details follow. Likes: Look of the DragonsDislikes: Ra'zac don't get much timeSaphira's voice is wrong. But I doubt I could have been happy with it at all, since it's pretty much not supposed to be actually heard so much as understood. Which would be hard in a movie. So yeah...Arya is acting way too much like she likes Eragon in a romantic way. She's all over him. It's just not the real Arya. "Oh, Eragon, the people are spreading stories about you!!!! " *cough*

Well, first off, I saw Jumper. Before you kill me for blasphemous treason, I have to tell you that it actually wasn't that bad. Samuel L. Jackson was the saving grace of the acting portion, but the movie itself had a sound plot, and brilliant special effects. Secondly, I'm going to revamp my blog. You'll see. You'll all see... Thirdly... thirdly... dang, I forget >> Fourthly, I bought Icarax off toysrus.com, but UPS keeps rescheduling his send date, so I need to have words with them. Fifth, I went back to school today, so all that testing, collage searching etc, resumes as per usual. Sixth, if no one has started one yet, I'm going to make a Mistika fanclub. Seventh, my Debit Card came in the mail, so awesome. That is all.

Yep, you guessed it. I was able to see Pirates of the Caribbean 3 for the first (and second) time this week. Story: This one was certainly better than the second movie in the series. Of course, without #2, this would have made no sense, but the story was much better. There are a few parts here that just make you want to . I mean, really, what was the point of the crabs in the locker doing what they did? Obviously it was to get the Pearl out to sea, but from their point of view, it was work they could have just not done. The ending was alright. The battle was awesome. All the twists and turns leading up to it certainly rival those of the first movie. I'm still not too happy with where the ending puts William and Elizabeth, but it's just one of those things that are. The biggest question is: why couldn't she go with the [other] Turners? It's obvious that humans can survive such journeys, considering that there was an entire crew before. Humor: This movie was just plain weird. The two captains of the Black Pearl always arguing is always funny. I especially like the spyglass rivalry. One of the deleted scenes, which I really wish they could have kept, had a shot where Jack gives orders to move "Two degrees starboard." Protesting, Barbossa orders: "I'm cap'n of the starboard side! Two degrees. Starboard." Most of the 'humor' in the movie comes between the many jacks. I imagine, and the movie team did mention this on the DVD, that these scenes where difficult to shoot. The little Jacks on the shoulders had to actually be done on a "dreadlocks set." Some favorite quotes (excluding the title quote) below. Effects: Most of the effects, as would be expected, occur during the climax, where everyone is present at the battle. The whirlpool is incredible, and all the debree and waves splashing about is nice, and in general everything looks good. Yayshmor. And with that...

"In space, no one can hear you scream. On Earth, it won't matter..." That's the tagline for a movie which is supposed to come out in theaters with Christmas. That's right, I'm talking about the new AvP: Aliens Versus Predator: Requiem. I watched the (R-rated) trailer tonight and dangit, I can't wait to see the movie. Looks much more promising than the first Alien Versus Predator movie. I mean, the forest just soo reminds me of the original Predator movie. *places the movie on the must-watch list*

I can't wait. I am finally old enough to see the first Spider-Man. Can't wait!

Well, so much for my Wallpaper(s) topic. Seems it'll die a silent death.. xD I created some new ones, but it seems there's not much use in posting them in that topic. ^^; [----- ----- ----- -----] I went to see Transformers last Friday and dangit, I loved the movie. Going to watch it again next Friday. Frenzy kicked rear. Deleted scene was jarring. Bumblebees and the other Autobots' antics were funny. Action scenes were great, aside for some too close-up camera work. Cool [unintentional?] Alien reference. The movie also 'forced' me to pick up some Movie Deluxe Transformers figs. I bought '74 Bumblebee and Barricade. They both be cool. [----- ----- ----- -----] Time to break the silence, I guess.. BoA and I are getting married. I pre-ordered BoA's new concert DVD. The cover could have been better. At least this Toshiba ad version doesn't have the ugly giant pink lettering. BoA's smile is cute though.. [----- ----- ----- -----] Still haven't completed my ninth letter to BoA. I can't think of anything to write. [----- ----- ----- -----] Started reading a book again. Angels and Demons by Dan Brown. I love it already. Woot for experimental sources of energy! [----- ----- ----- -----] I think I'll buy a dagger or sword in a few weeks. We'll have to see when. [----- ----- ----- -----] New list of recommended artists and bands: - Krypteria - Abingdon Boys School - E.S. Posthumus - Clannad - Dimmu Borgir ~We are now together for real...~
