Description: Turaga Nuju is the protector of Kopaka's legend. Nuju has great vision and seems to have more time to react to situations than anybody else. His Kanohi Matatu (mask of telepathy) amplifies these gifts, allowing him to move objects with his mind. It is said that he can tell stories that last for days, using gestures and whistles that only Matoro can interpret. Some find Nuju aloof and uncaring, but he shows his feelings in different ways--like through his generous deeds. Nuju's tool is the Ice Pick.

Nuju is the leader of the Ko-Matoran and elder of Ko-Koro. He is to-the-point and knowledgeable, and like all Ko-Matoran, spends a lot of his time in the Sanctum of Ko-Koro 'seeking.' Unlike the other Turaga, he speaks in a series of whistles, clicks and beeps while Matoro translates. He feels that if you don't take the time to understand him, you're not worth Nuju has never truly played a major role in the storyline, although he has helped Takua the Chronicler as he has journeyed across Mata Nui.
