So, I started this waaaaaay back earlier in the year. Stalled on the sketch for ages, finally got it coloured... and the stalled some more when it came to adding the digital background. But I finally got around to finishing that in my end-of-year clean-up; and now that it's done, I wanted to share it on here while it's still (barely!) Bionicle's anniversary year! The final picture is A2 size, so... it's fairly big! I may have taken far longer than necessary picking the characters to include; but I wanted to feature one from EVERY line of small, canister and Titan sets from the ten years of G1's run - thirty-eight lines in total, by my count. I also wanted to make sure that I had a roughly equal amount of characters included per elemental affiliation (each of the key six elements is, in the final picture, represented by three canister-sized characters and two small-sized characters... with the exception of Air which got the extra canister-sized character - Toa Iruini - at the expense of any small ones), and that I didn't repeat any characters or any mask shapes (the Nui-Jaga being the only exception to the latter, due to not wearing its masks as masks), amongst other considerations. Some characters, I chose because they were my favourite of their wave, or have special nostalgic significance to me, (or, in the case of Tahu Star, were the only one of their wave who felt suitably iconic) while others were simply picked to work with the choices I had already made. I'm not gonna list every character who's here... suffice it to say, there's a lot of them, and I hope they're all recognisable for who they are! It was a lot of work, and I don't claim to be that adept with colour pencils, so forgive me if the colouring is a bit unprofessional still. The background (for what little can be seen of it!) was done digitally to differentiate it more clearly from the characters, and, well... It was certainly a challenge, but it was fun! And I'm glad to have got it finished in time, if only barely

"Times are dark, and evil rules..." 20 years ago, six canisters washed ashore the island of Mata Nui, changing the lives of many fans around the world. In the time before time, from the unreleased Cybots to the Slizers/Throwbots and then to Roboriders, these Technic themes would be the foundation in which Bionicle was built upon and improved vastly. Unleashed into the world, Bionicle continues to inspires the lives of many people to this day and promotes nothing but creativity and positivity. Main: In-case you haven't checked them out, BZPower just presented two special messages to the Bionicle community, two messages from Christian Faber and Greg Farshtey. Christian Faber's Message: https://youtu.be/lVgYQdyokic "See you on a golden beach somewhere and keep MOCing and being creative". Greg Farshtey's Message: https://youtu.be/6dhR0Az4j3g "As long as somebody is thinking about it, as long as somebody loves it, it's never actually gone". 20 years of a toyline that changed my life forever and continues to inspire me to this day, from its creative storytelling to its visuals, concepts, and messages. Thank you Bionicle, everybody that worked on it, and to this amazing community that keeps the heart beating. 20 Years of Bionicle Unity. Duty. Destiny. Hi, guys! This year, 2020, is the 15th anniversary of Bionicle’s 2005 storyline. It takes place right after the events of the 2004 storyline and long before the 2001 storyline. After the Toa Metru defeated Makuta in the 2004 storyline, they went to rescue Matoran, who were imprisoned in Matoran Spheres by Makuta, but they got captured by Visorak, which turned them into monsters called Toa Hordika. Aided by the Rahaga, the Toa Hordika went to fight the Visorak and find a cure to their mutations. This storyline also explains how Makuta got out of his Toa Seal prison, how the Vahi was found from the sea in the past storyline, how the Mask of Light was found and kept in the island of Mata Nui, and how and why Nuju speak bird Rahi. I would love to have us celebrate this storyline’s 15th anniversary when I explain what it is about. The storyline is where Vakama was continuing telling the Toa Nuva and the Matoran of Mata Nui the story of him and his fellow Turaga as the Toa Metru. The storyline takes place after the Toa Metru defeated Makuta by imprisoning him in a Toa Seal at the end of the 2004 storyline. They discovered the island of Mata Nui, but they had to go back to Metru Nui to rescue Matoran, who were imprisoned in Matoran Spheres by Makuta. They first had to deal with a prototype of the Morbuzakh called the Karzahni, who was created Makuta long ago, but was rejected because the Karzahni was too powerful and willful, and wanted to have Energized Protodermis. After the Toa went through a perilous journey to get a little bit of the substance and then gave it to the plant, he tried to use it to get rid of the expiration date that Makuta gave him, but he was destined to be destroyed. Before he completely died, he told the Toa about Metru Nui changing and Makuta has to be killed. When the Toa arrived in Metru Nui, they discovered that the city was ruined and dominated by Visorak, which are an evil species of various giant spider Rahi with four legs, large mandibles, and natural guns on their backs called Rhotuka Launchers, which shoot magical spinners called Rhotuka with various powers. The spiders are led by two Titan villains, Sidorak, the red-armored King of the Visorak Army, and Roodaka, the female, reptilian, and black-armored Viceroy of the army, who were allies of Makuta. Vakama became arrogant after Makuta’s defeat, and then the Visorak paralyzed and captured the Toa. The spiders imprisoned them in cocoons and then used their magical venom called Hordika Venom to turn them into creatures called the Toa Hordika, which were half-Toa, half-Rahi. The cocoons were clipped while hanging in the air with webs attached to the buildings, so the Toa fell, but a group of flying dwarf-sized creatures with Rahkshi-like heads called the Rahaga saved them. The Toa were freaked out about their mutations, and one of the Toa, Matau, blamed Vakama for this. The Rahaga explained the Toa about what happened to them and a legendary Rahi named Keetongu being able to cure them of their mutations, otherwise if they couldn’t find him in time, they would be stuck being freaks forever. The Toa and Rahaga went to find some stuff that they could use to make Airships that could carry the Matoran to Mata Nui first. They had many adventures along the way, as they fought against the Visorak and rampaging Rahi, some are mutated. A shape-shifting Rahi from the 2004 storyline, who looked like a mix of all six Toa Metru and was forced by Roodaka to help her fight the Toa, came to help the Toa instead a little bit because she actually hates the Visorak for what they had done to her kind, which made her the last of her kind. The Rahaga taught the Toa on how to control their new forms and use their Rhotuka Launchers, which shoot Rhotuka that were based on their elemental powers. Their primary weapons that they are holding with their hands could charge up their Rhotuka. They couldn’t use their masks’ powers in their new forms, and these new forms had animalistic impulses, which made the Toa angry and impatient. The Rahaga were trying to tell the Toa to resist those impulses, which were hard to do. The Rahaga were once a Toa team called the Toa Hagah, who used to work for Makuta long ago. There were other Toa Hagah for other members of Makuta’s evil brotherhood that he led called the Brotherhood of Makuta, which were members of his species called Makuta. These guys were called the Makuta or some place in the Matoran Universe, as in titles, because they were assigned to watch over people in these places. Makuta, the villain that the Toa Metru fought, was called the Makuta of Metru Nui. The Makuta species have real names, so the leader’s real name was unknown. His Toa Hagah went rogue, defeated him in a fight, and ran away from him. They stole a magical mask called the Mask of Light from the late 2003 storyline. However, they got mutated by Roodaka long ago, but they kept the Mask. They hid it in Metru Nui, and then had the Toa Hordika get the Makoki Stones to get the Mask. One of the Toa Hordika, Onewa, encased the Mask in a stone. Vakama was so pressured about his guilt for his team being mutated that he went alone. He got captured by Visorak and then was taken by them to Roodaka. Roodaka tampered with Vakama’s animalistic side to convince him to join the Visorak army, so Vakama agreed to help the army. Vakama wasn’t acting like himself. Sidorak had Vakama be a new leader for the army. The other Toa Hordika and one of the Rahaga names Norik, who is the leader of the Rahaga, were shocked to witness this when Vakama captured the other Rahaga. They went to find Keetongu in Metru Nui. They found him hiding. He is very intelligent, like the shape-shifting Rahi. He didn’t want to cure the Toa because he didn’t think that they were worthy, but he did want to help the Toa fight the Visorak. The Toa, Norik, and Keetongu went to the Coliseum to fight the Visorak. The Toa were fighting against a large army of Visorak while Norik went to rescue his fellow Rahaga and Keetongu went to fight Sidorak and Roodaka. Matau went to find Vakama. They fought each other, but Matau apologized to Vakama for his criticisms and reminded him of the Matoran, so Vakama came to his senses. Vakama rejoined the Toa while he had a plan that could help the Toa defeat the army. Roodaka cruelly betrayed Sidorak while Sidorak knew that he couldn’t defeat Keetongu alone, but Keetongu smashed Sidorak on the head, killing him. Roodaka became the new queen of the Visorak and then got the Toa surrender. Vakama showed up and then tricked the Visorak into being free, so the Visorak leave the city. All the Toa except Vakama shot Rhotuka at Roodaka, but Roodaka had a piece of the Makuta of Metru Nui’s Toa Seal on her chest, so she let them hit it. When Vakama was preparing to fire his Rhotuka, Norik knew that if all six elements hit the piece, it could free Makuta, so he tried to warn Vakama not to do it, but it was too late because Vakama did it, anyway. When all six elements hit the piece, that freed Makuta, but hurt Roodaka so much that she fell unconscious. Makuta used his shadow powers to save her and then teleported her to safety, leaving only the piece behind. The Toa picked up the stone, keeping it as the Makuta Stone that they, as Turaga, would use as a way to tell the story about Makuta putting the Great Spirit Mata Nui to sleep. The heroes were worried about the Makuta, but Keetongu looked at the Toa as worthy to be cured because of their heroism, so he cured them back to their Toa Metru forms. After the whole ordeal of being a Toa Hordika, one of the Metru Nui named Nuju decided to speak flying Rahi because he doesn’t want to forget about the fall of Metru Nui and the Toa Metru’s arrogance, unless there is someone worth hearing or for emergencies or times of joy. That’s why he has this habit when he is a Turaga in the island of Mata Nui in 2001 (he did that in the Mata Nui Online Game in 2001). When the Toa brought the Matoran to the island of Mata Nui, Vakama thought about the Vahi, so he told his friends that he had to go get the mask alone. Karzahni revived himself by using his remaining king root to grow back. When Vakama found the mask, it was cracked and leaking super-dangerous Time energy that could destroy the Matoran Universe, so he had to patch it up to prevent the disaster from happening. Makuta was also looking for the mask, and he had Karzahni to help him get it, but had to fight against Keetongu, who got in the way, first. Keetongu is powerful enough to hold Makuta off, but Makuta ran away from him. He and Vakama found each other, but they also encountered an evil guy named the Shadowed One, who is the leader of the Dark Hunters. TSO was looking for Nidhiki and Krekka from the 2004 storyline, but found out that Makuta ate them, so he decided to fight Makuta and Vakama and get the Rahi from them. TSO brought some fellows with him, such as his bodyguard named Sentrakh and servant named Voporak, who was a hulking, powerful and mutated member of Sidorak’s species with time-based powers who could track down the Vahi. Voporak led TSO and their cronies to the mask in the first place. Vakama and Makuta had to work together to fight the Dark Hunters, and they won and defeated them. Karzahni got destroyed when its king root got destroyed by Makuta during the battle. TSO declared war on the Brotherhood of Makuta for all of this. Makuta tried to get the mask from Vakama, but Vakama stopped him by convincing him that he would destroy the Vahi if Makuta gets closer to it, so both of them agreed that Makuta would leave Vakama and his people alone for a year. Makuta teleported Vakama back to Mata Nui. That’s where the Toa Metru became Turaga in the 2004 storyline, and then Makuta attacked them and their people on the island with his infected Rahi in the 2001 storyline. The Toa Metru accidentally left behind a Matoran Sphere that contained Ahkmou, and when Makuta noticed it, he opened the sphere up, and then told to Ahkmou everything about the history of Metru Nui and lied to him that the Toa Metru betrayed and abandoned Ahkmou, so Ahkmou became Makuta’s new evil ally. That’s how Ahkmou caused problems in the island of Mata Nui in the Mata Nui Online Game in 2001. In the present, when Vakama finished telling his stories of the Toa Metru, their people moved back to Metru Nui and started rebuilding it. The End of the 2005 storyline. In fact, The End of the whole Metru Nui story arc (2004-2005). That’s the story. Now for the sets: Basically, all sets shoot spinners called Rhotuka, which have various magical powers. Each of the sets has a rip cord and a gun called a Rhotuka Launcher, and after you put the rip cord in the Launcher and the Rhotuka on top of the Launcher, you pull the rip cord out quickly, which can make the Rhotuka fly. For the medium-sized sets, there are the Toa Hordika and the Visorak, which are in canisters. The Toa Hordika look like hunchbacked and monstrous versions of the Toa Metru while their masks look like animals’ faces. They have uneven arms, as the right arm can bend with gears while the left arm is simply a Toa Mata leg piece from 2001. The right arm is also longer than the left. They have new foot pieces, bent-looking forelegs, torso pieces that have Rhotuka Launchers on the back, chest armor pieces, and the neck pieces. The neck pieces attach the mask and Bohrok eyes from 2002 to form the head. Each Toa Hordika have two dual-colored and flexible weapons, which can charge up their Rhotuka. The Toa look cool, even thought that the unevenness and bent-looking bodies look kind of weird on them. The Visorak are big spiders that have Rhotuka Launchers on their backs. They have huge and various heads and mandibles. They also have various legs and introduced long thigh pieces. You sneeze the body to make the mandibles pinch. They have Bohrok eyes. They look kind of cute. The small sets are the Rahaga, who look like Turaga-like versions of Rahkshi, as their heads and staffs look like Rahkshi’s. They have Rhotuka Launchers on their backs, too. They look cute. There are two special edition canister sets called the Toa Hagah, which are the original Toa forms of two of the Rahaga, Norik and Iruini. They look like Toa Metru and Toa Lhikan, but they use extra armor, spears, and Rhotuka Launching Shields that shoot Rhotuka and contain extra Rhotuka. They also have new masks. Originally, they were going to be Toa Dume and Toa Nidhiki, respectively, but they didn’t happen, so we wouldn’t see what these Toa look like. But, it does explain why Iruini’s mask is shaped like Nidhiki’s Dark Hunter head and Norik’s mask looks like Dume’s. Anyway, the Toa Hagah look very cool with their weapons and their gold and silver armor. Too bad that we don’t see what the other Rahaga look like as Toa Hagah. Now, for the Titans. There are three of them, and they are Sidorak, Roodaka, and Keetongu. Sidorak is the red and black guy with the ram-like head who has a clawed right hand with a Rhotuka Launcher in it and a blade on his left arm. The blade juts out for battle while his claws contain his Rhotuka for storage. Roodaka is a female black and silver reptilian lady who looks feminine who has a Rhotuka Launcher on her right arm and a weapon called the Catcher Claw on her left. The Catcher Claw can spin around. Keetongu is a one-eyed yellow and bulky Rahi who has a Bohrok head shell on his head who has a blade on his arm and a spinning weapon similar to Roodaka’s on the other, which with shield pieces rather than claws. You can open his chest to reveal his Rhotuka Launcher in there. The titans look cool, but they have uneven-looking arms that don’t have actual hands. There is a combo Titan set that is a mix of all three of the titans, and that is Voporak. He’s a big and bulky guy with four arms, and he carried two spinning weapons similar to Roodaka’s and Keetongu’s and a Rhotuka Launcher. This guy is awesome, and I like his design. However, his double-jointed upper arms look kind of weird, and his lower arms don’t have hands. The Rhotuka are used to show codes for you to use to unlock some stuff in the Bionicle website. There is also an extra Rhotuka pack. The Launchers and Rhotuka are cool, and the Launchers can shoot them and the spinners fly very high. I believe you may need better storage for the spinners, though. There is also four Lego system playsets in 2005. I’m not a playset fan, to be honest, but they look very cool. I like the elite Visorak in them, and it is interesting that there is one that has a golden version of Makuta’s Mask of Shadows for a head while there is one that is bulkier than a normal Visorak set. The glow-in-the-dark Visorak are cool. I like the giant mask pieces that shoot Rhotuka, and they’re so big that you can wear them. Lol. The Toa Hordika look silly, though. I mean, they are one-piece statues that don’t pose. Now for the combo sets. We have a lot of them. There is one for each three of the Rahaga, each two of the Toa Hordika, three of the Toa Hordika, two of the Visorak, three, and all six. All of them are Rahi, but the one with the blue and white Visorak is an elite kind of Visorak while the one with Vakama, Matau, and Whenua is a monster called a Protocrain that is made of Matoran who got combined by the Energized Protodermis in the story. There are three combiners for the titans, which are one for Keetongu and Sidorak named Sentrakh, one for Keetongu and Roodaka called the Shadowed One, and of course Voporak. Sentrakh is a Dark Hunter who serves as the Shadowed One’s bodyguard. The combiners in general look decent, but some of them are weird because of their uneven parts on here and there. I wish there are a combiner for all six Toa Hordika and one for Roodaka and Sidorak. Now, for the media. The storyline is told by many things. There are six comic issues, which tell the Toa Hordika’s quest to build the Airships, and there is one that was never published completely. There is the third direct-to-video movie called Bionicle 3: Web of Shadows in October 2005. There are six online animations that tell the Toa Hordika’s quest for the Mask of Light, four to five chapter books called Bionicle Adventures (if you count Maze of Shadows), a guide book called Rahi Beasts, where it shows Rahi of any kind, including the ones from a Lego-building contest in 2004, and the Bionicle Encyclopedia, where it tells the story of how Nidhiki turned from Toa to Dark Hunter. The Dark Hunters convinced him to betray his team, he joined the Dark Hunters, he trained and was partnered with Krekka, and Roodaka turned Nidhiki into an insect-like monster. This also presents Zamor Launchers, which were the main guns in the 2006 storyline, as the books and the sixth comic issue previews that storyline. There are two music videos and several non-canon online games. There was also a contest to build a Toa named Krakua, who is a Toa of Sonics from the future who told Toa Vakama through a vision given by a creature in the tenth chapter about what would happen in the future, including the Toa Inika from the 2006 storyline. That’s foreshadowing. The comics and books are good. The movie is also good, but it’s not the best because I am kind of not fond of how the Toa Hordika and Rahaga were animated, and I don’t like Vakama’s behavioral issues, how Sidorak was scared of Keetongu, and the Toa Hordika freed Makuta. It felt sort of rushed. I am also sad that there were not any more Miramax films after this (but we did get Bionicle: The Legend Reborn in 2009, but it was made by a different company. I wish there are films for the 2006, 2007, and 2008 storylines, as well as 2001, 2002, and early 2003). Of course, there is a handheld role play video game called Bionicle: Maze of Shadows, where the Toa Metru’s adventure to get some Energized Protodermis is told. There was also a contest for Dark Hunters. Now, for the story. Well, it’s okay, but not the best, and the sets in there weren’t the best either. I mean, the Rhotuka Launchers did make some things complicated. I am not fond of how Vakama betrayed his team, Sidorak acting like a whiny baby, and the Toa Hordika freeing Makuta. I mean, they unleashed the madman who will take over the world. It’s their fault. Plus, the Dark Hunters should have had a larger role in this, like Roodaka hiring them to get the Toa Hordika. It’s interesting that Roodaka admires Makuta, even though that he doesn’t socialize with her often. Some of the 2005 pieces were used in the later storylines, like Umbra in 2006 using a Rhotuka Launcher. So, how would you celebrate the storyline’s 15th anniversary? What are your best moments and memories for the storyline? What are your favorite sets and characters? What medium reminds you of the storyline? Well, I could watch the movie again and read some of the Bionicle stuff. I do like the movie, comics and chapter books the most. My favorite characters are Vakama, Matau, Norik, Sidorak, and Keetongu. Matau is funny as always. My favorite sets are Whenua (the Thumpers are cool), the red Visorak, Keetongu, and Voporak. The things in the media that remind me of the storyline are: DC Comics - villains playing with animal-based mutations. Roodaka is like Harley Quinn while the Joker is like Makuta, who doesn’t socialize with her often, despite her dedication, servitude, and admiration for him Marvel - villains playing with animal-based mutations. Mystique is like Roodaka while Magneto is like Makuta. The Visorak are like monster counterparts to Spider-Man. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles - villains playing with animal-based mutations. Transformers - In Transformers: Animated, there is a Decepticon called Blackarchnia, who was once an Autobot named Elita One who got mutated by giant alien spiders to became a twisted monster. Ninjago - Ninja fighting giant spiders. Plus, there are spinner sets that fly. Harumi is like Roodaka while Garmadon is like Makuta. In one episode in Season 9, how the Oni Titan sits is like Keetongu in Webs of Shadows Legends of Chima - big spiders. Hero Factory - the Brains are kind of like the Visorak because they look kind of like spiders and how they mutate their victims. Bionicle 2015-2016 - the Skull Spiders are kind of like the Visorak. Sonic the Hedgehog - Amy is like Roodaka and Sonic is like Makuta for how Amy tries to show her admiration to Sonic, but Sonic is not interested, despite Amy showing her dedication and loyalty to Sonic. Ben 10 - Dr. Animo likes to play with animal-based mutations. The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy - there is a TV movie where there are giant spiders invading a school. Thor: Ragnarok - Hela is sort of like Roodaka. Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith - Anakin is like Vakama when he was manipulated by a conniving and selfish villain to become evil.

Hi, guys! Today is the 15th anniversary of Bionicle: The Legend Reborn, the fourth and final direct-to-video Bionicle movie! To celebrate, let me tell you the summary of it: It is about a good-hearted ruler, Mata Nui (played by a Star Trek actor named Michael Dorn) being overthrown by an evil tyrant, Makuta Teridax, who banished him to a planet called Bara Magna, where it is a complete, decayed desert. In there, there are tribes and warriors called Glatorian fighting each other in arena matches to survive in the desert planet as they struggle to do so. The tribes also face threats from evil warriors called the Skrall and Bone Hunters. It is up to Mata Nui to help the tribes battle and defeat these villains in order for him to go back home and defeat the tyrant. Basically, it primarily is about the second half of the 2009 storyline, and it’s a loose continuation of Bionicle: Mask of Light in 2003. Unlike the first three films in 2003-2005, this film is made by Threshold Studios, the company who later made the Hero Factory TV show in 2010-2013. Plus, the set of voice actors is changed to a new set of more popular voice actors, and the animation makes the character look almost exactly like the sets while covering up some empty part rather than having muscles showing on some body parts. The movie’s DVD includes a music video called Bye Bye Babylon by Cryoshell and a short called Metus’ Revenge, which takes place after the events of the film. Now, about my opinion, I watched and loved the film. It’s epic! It’s quite relatable because it reminds me of a fact that when I went from a school to a different one, I miss my old friends, but I can make some new ones. Trust me, I graduated a school in early 2009 and then went to a new school in late 2009. It feels crazy, but I got used to it gradually. Anyway, I also love the funny and action parts. The short is funny and fun to watch, too. Lol. My favorite scenes are the Skopio fight, Tuma fight, and the Glatorian and Mata Nui combining their powers to defeat the evil army. I love Michael Dorn’s portrayal. It’s very interesting that Mata Nui learns to defend himself as a warrior rather than just a ruler that he once was. The animation is good, as it gives actual mouths with teeth and makes characters almost exactly like their sets while the muscles are fitted inside the armor, as you can see them through the holes. It’s interesting that the Mask of Life and Glatorian’s helmets have mouth guards that flip to open or close, like Transformers in the Transformers movies.:) Anyway, those are the positives. Here are some negatives. The movie should have included the end of the 2008 storyline for a good prologue. The island of Mata Nui should have looked destroyed because it is destroyed. There should have been more action scenes rather than talking most of the time. I wish that all 2009 storyline characters could have been in the movie, like Malum wanted to have revenge on Mata Nui for breaking a Vorox’s stinger tail because that Vorox could be a part of Malum’s pack of Vorox, and Gelu having Ice powers. The animation makes the heads kind of hard to tell whether the characters are smiling or frowning when the heads look like Iron Man’s helmet from Marvel. It’s like they are skulls. What’s up with the spinning axles that happen sometimes? Why some characters’ armor pieces get misplaced sometimes? Why not show all weapons from the sets? Why Mata Nui have his sword in his set? I mean, some of the characters, including Mata Nui, don’t have Thornax Launchers for some reason. What the movie did with the Skopio’s design is silly and lazy. I mean, why make it look like Telluris being fused to his own vehicle? That’s disgusting. The script felt kind of short while the the first three movies have a bit more serious tones. Low budget, perhaps? That’s the same problem with the Hero Factory TV show.:( Well, I remember fondly that when it was announced in February, I was so hyped for it, and when I got the DVD and watched. It was mostly worth the wait. Happy 10th anniversary, movie! Man, it’s so long ago!:D There’s also a novelization of the movie. Originally, the movie was going to be the start of a new trilogy where Mata Nui finds his way back home and save it from Teridax, but the sequels in 2010 and 2011 were sadly cancelled when Bionicle was announced to be cancelled in November 2009. That was shocking and depressing. I was looking forward to them, and I wanted The Legend Reborn’s cliffhanger to be resolved. That’s where my depression happened, and the cliffhanger seemed traumatic (but I know that Mata Nui’s quest is completed in 2010, though).:( However, Greg Farshtey was kind enough to show us a draft of the script for the fifth movie. We would presume that the sixth movie would be about Mata Nui and his gang on Bota Magna and probably completing his quest, judging for the end of the fifth movie’s script. The 2010 storyline is about something else where Mata Nui completes his quest earlier, which is kind of rushed. Along the way, in early 2010, there was a web series called Mata Nui Saga, where Michael Dorn voiced Mata Nui, who narrates the 2010 storyline. So, what are your memories and favorite parts of the movie? How you feel about it? What things does the movie remind you of? For me, the things that remind me are: 1. The Marvel Cinematic Universe - How Mata Nui ended up on another world is sort of like how Captain Marvel arrived in Earth in the Captain Marvel movie. In the first Thor movie, Thor got banished to Earth. In the third Thor movie called Thor: Ragnarok, Thor unintentionally crash landed onto another world, where there are gladiator matches and he finds some familiar things, like Korg’s species and the Hulk. Thor’s fight with the Hulk in the arena kind of reminds me of Mata Nui’s fight with Tuma. How T’Challa from the Black Panther movie is overthrown by his evil relative is like how Mata Nui got banished while there are these scheduled man-to-man fights. 2. DC Comics - How Mata Nui crash landed on Bara Magna is sort of like Superman’s arrival on Earth, as both learn about their origins eventually. Plus, in The Dark Knight Rises movie in 2012, how Bane banished Batman in a desert place while harassing Batman’s home place kind of reminds me of The Legend Reborn. Also, in the Shazam movie in this year, how Shazam shares his powers with his friends reminds me of Mata Nui giving his Glatorian friends elemental powers. 3. Transformers - Bionicle characters using mouth guards remind me of the Transformers movies, where the Transformers use mouth guards. Plus, the Revenge of the Fallen movie in 2009 is sort of like The Legend Reborn. 4. Prince of Persia movie in 2010 - How there are fights in the desert in that movie reminds me of the fights in The Legend Reborn. 5. Disney’s Aladdin - The desert parts remind me of The Legend Reborn, kind of. 6. Disney’s Hercules - How Hercules got sent to another place reminds me of how Mata Nui got forced to get stuck on Bara Magna. 7. The Lion King - How Scar banished Simba and then Simba going to the wastelands reminds me of The Legend Reborn 8. The Emperor’s New Groove - How Ezma threw Kusco out of his kingdom and Kusco ended up on another place kind of reminds me of The Legend Reborn. 9. Hero Factory - There is a TV episode where a gold beetle is crawling around the desert before encountering something strange from outer space, which is how The Legend Reborn started. 10. Ninjago’s Seasons 8 and 9 in 2018 - How Garmadon caused most of the Ninja to be banished into another world, which is a desert, while he takes over their home realm, and then how the Ninja struggle in the new desert realm reminds me of The Legend Reborn.

Hi, guys! I know that Bionicle had ended three years ago sadly, but let’s be happy about Bionicle for something else. You see, this year, 2019, is the 10th anniversary of Bionicle’s 2009 storyline, which is a loose continuation/soft reboot for Bionicle 2001-2010 (think how Star Wars movies in this decade and Bumblebee in 2018 happened). While 2001-2008 storylines were about people in the Matoran Universe, this storyline is set in completely different new world, which is a desert planet called Bara Magna. In there, there are many people who fight each other in arena matches for scarce resources. Later on, that’s where the former Great Spirit Mata Nui, who is put into the Kanohi Ignika, aka the Mask of Life, and then got banished from the MU by his evil brother named Makuta Teridax in the 2008 storyline, arrived and had a big adventure in there where he had to find a way to get back to the MU and defeat Teridax in order to reclaim his lost kingdom, but he had to help the good-hearted people in BA fight against the evil ones first. I know that this year doesn't have anything Bionicle-related (well, Lego did mention Bionicle in one of its Instagram stories, and there have been some Instagram posts by one of Bionicle’s co-creators names Faber that seems related to Bionicle lately), let’s celebrate the 10th anniversary of the 2009 storyline. That would enlighten you more. Let me tell you the 2008 storyline: First, I must tell you about BA’s people and their lifestyle because this is a new completely different place. Like MU, there are many species of people and tribes of them, and each of most tribes represents an element that sounds like the MU’s elemental powers. These tribes are the Fire Tribe, Water Tribe, Jungle Tribe, Ice Tribe, Rock Tribe, Sand Tribe, and Iron Tribe. Each tribe lives in a region in Bara Magna that matches it. Most of them have villages there, and some of these villages are protected with giant chunks of mechanical and metal things that are used to make them. People also are mostly organic, but with metallic bones, and they have faces that look like Iron Man’s helmet from Marvel and don’t have any powers. They’re basically are like humans much, as they can biologically reproduce. They are warriors who wear various armor with various colors and weapons that match their tribes. Many warriors over there use guns called a Thornax Launchers, which shoot explosive spiked fruit called Thornax. There are also organic animals in the planet, and some are dangerous to and would attack people who come to their way and some can be ridden by people. BA is a place completely covered in desert where there are scarce amounts of resources, sadly. The main species of warriors are called the Glatorian, but by title. They look like, are tall, and fight like Toa. They do arena matches. There are three classes of Glatorian in their tribes. One is the Primary Glatorian, and below it is a Secondary Glatorian, who is like a trainee. There are Pilot Glatorian, who drive fighting vehicles. Another species of people are called Agori, who look and are short like the Matoran. They have Glatorian protect and work for them, and they set up arena matches for the Glatorian. Most of the tribes are led by an elected Agori. There are a subspecies of Glatorian called the Vorox and a subspecies of Agori called the Zesk. They were once normal people long ago, but they regressed into animalistic people, making them act like hostile cavemen. They also turned evil and would go against anyone who gets in their way. They are nomadic and anti-social. They live in the wastelands and don’t have a village of their own. They wear tan armor and have stinger tails, which make them look like scorpions. The Vorox use weapons and are primary members of the tribe while the Zesk walk in all fours and wear helmets that look like that they have four eyes. The Sand Tribe’s stinger tails and bestial appearances were given by the Great Beings. They all make up the Sand Tribe, even though they usually go in small packs, which are from several to much more, like fifty. A species of black-armored people are called the Skrall, who are related to the Glatorian species. They are evil, savage, and brutal and military terrorists who want to take over Bara Magna. They used to live in the north, but when shape-shifting robots that they called the Baterra, created by the Great Beings, the very people who created the Matoran Universe, attacked them, they moved down south before they thought about their conquest. These are the male Skrall, who formed the Rock Tribe, while the females wear cloaks, have limited psionic powers, and formed a group called the Sisters of the Skrall. The male Skrall have three classes through hierarchy. The lowest class is the Warriors, who are stronger and faster than Glatorian and as a strong as Toa, who are super-strong, but not as tough. The middle class is the Special Forces, who are stronger than the Warriors and are bulky. The highest class is the Leaders, who are Hulk-from-Marvel-sized leaders of the Skrall who are stronger than Skrall from other classes and have the authority to give these worthy Skrall names. The last remaining Leader is Tuma, whose class got killed by the Baterra. The Fire Tribe are red-armored people who live in a volcanic region and a village called Vulcanus, and they are led by an old Agori named Raanu, who is very concerned about things, including Glatorian. Their Primary Glatorian is Ackar, who is an old dude who has self-esteem issues, but continues on fighting. Their Secondary Glatorian was Malum, who has anger issues, which led him to get exiled from his tribe after trying to kill a Glatorian named Strakk in an arena match. Before Malum became Secondary Glatorian, there is Perditus, who was a Secondary Glatorian before he gave it up to Malum and started being a Pilot Glatorian who drives a battle vehicle called the Thornatus V9, which is made from the Great Beings’ designs. Their Agori also include Crotesius, who drives a snowmobile-battle vehicle called the Cendox V1. The Water Tribe are blue-armored people lives in a watery region and a village called Tajun. Their Primary Glatorian is Tarix, who is very successful and cares about his friends. Their Secondary Glatorian is Kiina, who is a pushy female who doesn’t like living BA and wishes to be in a better space alien world. Their Agori include Berix, who is a collector and some people don’t trust because because they believe that he is a thief. Scodonius and Kirbraz, who drive a motorcycle-like vehicle that can separate into two smaller vehicles called the Kaxium V3. The Jungle Tribe are green-armored people who live in a jungly region and twin villages called Tesara. Their Primary Glatorian is Vastus, whose armor is based on a spiked snake, uses a venomous scythe, and is very skilled and guilty, so he wants to make up for his crimes in the past and defend his village. Their Secondary Glatorian is Gresh, who is very determined, wants to be successful, cares about his friends, and knows what is the right thing to do. Their Agori include Tarduk, who is a adventurous historian with claws on his hands and feet, blades on his shoulders, and walks like a gorilla who likes discovering things. The Ice Tribe are white-armored people live in a bunch of snowy mountains called the White Quartz Mountatins and a village called Iconox. Their Primary Glatorian was Certavus, who died from natural causes, so Strakk, who was a Secondary Glatorian for the tribe, took over. Strakk is ambitious and would fight dirty in arena matches. Their current Secondary Glatorian was Gelu, who decided to retire and does delivering service. Their Agori include Metus, who is a recruiter and trainer for Glatorian who sets up arena matches and is a spokesman. The Rock Tribe are black-armored people who used to live in the White Quartz Mountains, but due to the Baterra, they moved south, in a bunch of black spiky mountains called the Black Spike Mountains. They live in a village called Roxtus. Tuma is their only leader, and the Skrall are the primary members of the tribe. Warrior Skrall include Branar, who is like a second-in-command for Tuma. Special Forces include Stronius, who is fearsome and close friends with Tuma. The tribe’s Agori include Atakus, who uses two mysterious unique blades that glow in the dark and works as an assistant for the Skrall and works as a gate guard. The Iron Tribe are orange-armored people who got plagued to not be able to dream and some of the members died from it 103,000 years ago, so the rest got disbanded. Plus, other people are worried that the Iron Tribe can spread their plaque to them, so they avoid them. The Iron Tribe turned evil. The Glatorian warriors for the tribe included Telluris, who is crazy, has a short torso, and drives a giant vehicle called the Skopio XV-1, which is based on a bio-mechanical creature created by the Great Beings called a Skopio and can turn into a tank. The Agori in the tribe included Sahmad, who is a collector who drives a chariot called the Baranus V7, which is pulled by a green two-headed creature called a Spikit that eats a lot. He also works for the Rock Tribe. There are evil and nomadic species and tribe of people called Bone Hunters, who were once Rock Agori, but they somehow evolved into their own race who are stronger than Agori. They are thieves who steal things, and attack anyone that they notice. They ride on T-Rex-like creatures called Rock Steeds. They come in packs. One known Bone Hunter is Fero, who is confident rides a Rock Steed named Skirmix. The Fire, Water, Jungle and Ice Tribes made a social structure where they send their warriors to arena matches to settle for disputes over resources. This happened because 100,000 years ago, people in Bara Magna used to live in a prosperous planet-Earth-like planet called Spherus Magna, but the Fire, Water, Jungle, Ice, Rock, and Sand Tribes had a planet-wide war with each other called the Core War over a magical substance called Energized Protodermis, the same substance in the 2002 storyline that turned the Toa Mata into the Toa Nuva. The war ended when the substance broke their planet apart into three pieces. One is Bara Magna, which was the desert region that turned into a planet, where there aren’t much resources. The other two fragments became smaller moons that orbit the planet. One of them was the watery region called Aqua Magna, which is where the Great Spirit Robot/Matoran Universe is. The other is the jungly region called Bota Magna. Since that day, the social structure happened to not cause another war like this. In the social structure, there are rules, and whoever breaks any of them gets exiled from its tribe and into the wastelands. The rules include that if one wins the arena match, he or she will get the resource for his or her tribe. Glatorian and Agori use weapons and battle vehicles in the arena matches, and they can partner with each other. The Rock Tribe joined the system, and the Skrall are usually victorious in the arena matches. The Sand Tribe members get forced to fight in there. The Tribes have a city called Atero, where there is an arena called Arena Magna, where they do annual championship events. People from both worlds, the MU and the BA, are not aware of each other, but there is the name “Bara Magna” written in the Core Processor in Dwellers of Darkness serial in 2008. Now, for the story. In the first half of it, or the winter half, Gresh is the main protagonist. He and his friends have various adventures and fought many bad guys. Along the way, after Malum was exiled from the Fire Tribe, he turned evil and took control of a pack of Sand Tribe members, and they attack anyone they notice or gets in their way. However, Malum is not completely bad, as a he acts like an anti-hero by warning his former people about Skrall attacks at times and helping them fight the Bone Hunters at one time. The Skrall planned to take over Bara Magna. They are secretly assisted by a mysterious person who betrayed the other tribes. When the tribes are doing their annual championship at Atero, the Skrall attacked and destroyed place, starting a big planet-wide war called the Skrall War. The Glatorian and Agori are good-hearted, and they needed help to fight the Skrall. In the second half, or the summer half, that’s where the 2008 storyline left off, as Teridax banished Mata Nui’s spirit from the Great Spirit Robot, put him into the Mask of Life, and then banished both into space, so Teridax could start his tyrannical reign on Mata Nui’s people, who didn’t like this at all. Mata Nui promised to return to save his people and reclaim his body. The mask was flying toward Bara Magna. Many people noticed the Mask coming to the planet, but they ignored it. When the Mask crash-landed there like a meteorite, it used sand particles to create a new Toa-or-Glatorian-sized body with yellow armor with spiked shoulder armor pieces for Mata Nui to use to move around. Mata Nui was able to move around with his new body. That’s where Mata Nui is the main protagonist of the entire 2009 storyline. He found a beetle called a Scarabax Beetle, who had the courage to be curious about Mata Nui and his mask. When the beetle touched the mask, the mask gave the beetle the ability to turn into a powerful shield called the Scarab Shield. Mata Nui got attacked by a Vorox, but he was able to defend himself by using his shield to break the Vorox’s stinger, making it retreat. Mata Nui and the beetle became friends. He got the stinger for a new weapon. When he was found by Metus, Metus took him to Vulcanus, where an arena match between Ackar and Strakk happened. When Strakk conceded, he was so ambitious that he attacked Ackar and was trying to deliver a final blow, but was stopped by Mata Nui, who accidentally turned the stinger into a new sword. Mata Nui had Strakk concede finally, and since Strakk broke the rules in the arena, he was eventually exiled from his tribe and into the wastelands. Ackar thanked Mata Nui for the rescue and then took him to his home. While they were introducing each other, Metus wanted Mata Nui to be a new Glatorian to replace Ackar or fight for other tribes, but Mata Nui declined. When Mata Nui and Ackar continued their conversation, Kiina got into it because she was happy to hear that Mata Nui is from another world. She wanted Mata Nui to promised that he will take her to his world, and she made Mata Nui name the beetle “Click”. She decided to use a Thornatus to take Mata Nui and Ackar to a place in Tajun where Mata Nui could find something that can help him go back home, and during their journey, they were talking about there being the mysterious traitor who is causing the tribes problems, but they were attacked by a Skopio and a bunch of Bone Hunters sent by the traitor. Mata Nui was able to get his friends to safety and defeat their foes. They noticed Tajun in ruins, Gresh being injured, and the Skrall and Bone Hunters, who are the ones that destroyed Tajun, working together. Kiina brought her friends in the Great Beings’ Underground Lab hidden in the village to hide in there. Kiina talked about the history of Spherus Magna and she blamed the Great Beings for the destruction of the planet. The gang found Berix in the lab, which upset Kiina because this is her secret sanctuary, but Berix went to help heal Gresh while the others investigate the Lab. Mata Nui’s mask was able to open another room in there, where Mata Nui discovered that he, along with his former body, were created on Spherus Magna. The whole gang, with Gresh being healed, snuck out of the village. The three Glatorian’s weapons were no longer able to fight their enemies because of the bad guys’ alliance, but Mata Nui used his mask’s power to enhance their weapons while giving the three Glatorian elemental powers. The weapons can also use their powers. Ackar got Fire powers, Kiina Water, and Gresh Air (rather than the Green for some reason. Lol.), which is like Toa. Ackar saw that Mata Nui was not ready to fight, so he wanted to teach him how to fight. During the gang’s journey to Tesara, the Glatorian were learning on how to use their new powers while Ackar was teaching the others about fighting. When they arrived in Tesara, they noticed an arena match between Tarix and Vastus, with the Fire, Water, Jungle, and Ice Tribes watching the fight. The gang stopped the fight and they warned the tribes about the Skrall and Bone Hunters uniting, who took an advantage of their social structure, and told them about Tajun being destroyed by the bad guys, which saddened Tarix. The gang convinced the tribes to abandon their social structure and unite to fight and defeat the Skrall to end the new war and save Bara Magna from them. Along the way, Mata Nui upgraded Tarix’s and Vastus’ weapons and gave them Water and Air powers, respectively. Kiina and Berix got kidnapped by a bunch of Bone Hunters sent by the traitor, and then when Metus told Mata Nui and his allies about the kidnapping, Mata Nui goes alone to save his new friends, even though that he had Click along. Mata Nui and Click went to Roxtus, where his friends are imprisoned, and then when Mata Nui got to the village’s arena surrounded by the bad guys, he challenged Tuma to a duel to free his friends. Mata Nui was having a hard time, but when he noticed a weak spot on Tuma’s back, he went to hit it three times before defeating Tuma, which is a lesson that Ackar taught Mata Nui about. However, before Mata Nui could free his friends, Metus showed up and revealed to be the traitor who is the main antagonist of the 2009 storyline. Metus planned to take control of the Skrall and Bone Hunters, defeat his former people and win the war, and take over Bara Magna. However, Click summoned his fellow beetles to form a large figure to scare the united bad guys and scattered them. Then, Mata Nui freed his friends before Mata Nui’s allies showed up to fight the bad guys. Metus tried to get away, but Mata Nui got him and then used the power of his mask to turn him into a snake as punishment for his crime against his own people. Metus vowed revenge against Mata Nui and his friends before retreating. Mata Nui then went to help his friends fight and defeat the other bad guys, making them retreat, so the good guys won the war and peace is restored in Bara Magna. After the war, the good guys were pulling the giant machines from their villages, including Roxtus, together to combine their village into a new bigger village called the Mega-Village. When Mata Nui saw the giant machines being put together, he saw that the shape they formed looks like his former body. Mata Nui named Ackar leader of the united tribes’ military while Raanu became the chairman of the united tribes. Berix found a coin in the lab and showed it to Mata Nui. He learned that a symbol on a side of the coin that looks like the Skrall’s symbol represents a map that leads to somewhere that is the next step of his journey back home. Mata Nui also saw some things in Bara Magna that remind him of his people during his journey. At one time, Metus tried to crush Mata Nui and and some of his gang with a big boulder to have his revenge on them, but Click and his swarm stopped him. Mata Nui and his gang went to the place that the map was leading them, but when they fought two Skrall who injured Berix, Mata Nui decided to go alone for the safety of his friends. During Mata Nui’s journey, his friends fought and defeated Sahmad, who was trying to attack the Mega-Village. He and Click went to the spot where the map was leading them, which is a maze-like place called the Valley of the Maze, where the Great Beings worked in. Along the way, he survived various traps in there and continued on his journey into the center of the Valley to try to find a way back home. Meanwhile, Teridax crushed rebellions in Mata Nui’s former body and then flew out of Aqua Magna to go find and destroy Mata Nui to take over the outside universe. The end of the 2009 storyline and to be continued in the 2010 storyline. To celebrate, let me ask you this: What are your fond memories about the storyline and/or what do you like about it? For me, I like how the sets use more color variety than in 2008. Plus, we got a lot of new pieces. They are the transparent heads that look like Iron Man from Marvel, the hands (well, they are four-fingered), the Thornax Launcher rods, the Thornax fruits, the fancy new helmets, the life counter wheel-like pieces, a lot of new weapon designs, and those new limb pieces where you attach an axle to the sides rather than the pins on the top or bottom. These are neat, including the fact that most of the designs are based on the tribes that the sets belong to. The non-small sets have the Thornax Launchers, where you squeeze the rods together to shoot the Thornax fruit, where the gold part with the spikes is rubbery while the black band is hard plastic. Plus, there is a game called the Bionicle action figure game where you can shoot Thornax at your opponent’s non-small set or its canister to decrease points on that guy’s life counter, which has five lives, in a battle. If the number of lives reach to zero, this guy loses and you win. Most action figures have a Life Counter on their back. Some of the large sets have two Life Counters. You can also include the small sets, which are Agori, or other non-small sets to assist you as long as you and your opponent are even with that. The Agori are just used as shields while the non-small sets work the same as your figure. I find that game quite enjoyable, and the same goes to the Thornax Launchers. That’s something action figures can have sometimes. The Agori sets look very much like the 2008 Matoran sets. For the Fire Tribe sets, I like the use of fiery-looking pieces and the red and orange pieces. The gray parts are there for some reason, though. The canister sets are Malum and Ackar, and their Agori is Raanu. Malum looks like a fearsome and bulky wrestler, and I like his bulk. His claws are very cool, but they make his arms lengthy. Lol. Raanu has a neat shield and flame torch weapon. Ackar looks cool, and I love his flame sword, spikes, and the guard things on his ankles. He looks like Tahu sort of. For the Water Tribe sets, I like the use of the different shades of blue, and their weapons quite look like water very well. The canister sets are Tarix and Kiina, and their Agori is Berix. Tarix has a neat helmet with a tube (can he breathe underwater with the tube?), long spikes on his shoulders, and blades. The gold color is a nice touch. He looks skinny. Lol. Berix has a neat sword, which is a blue version of Tahu Mata’s sword in 2001, with a tube connected between it and his back for some reason and a gold shield. Kiina has an amazing double-edged trident, and I like her spikes and helmet. They make her look like a fish. She has skinny limbs. Lol. Her torso looks tiny compared to her limbs and weird for how the arms are positioned. Lol. For the Jungle Tribe sets, I love to see different shades of green. Most of the 2008 sets had only lime green. Anyway, the canister sets are Gresh and Vastus, and their Agori is Tarduk. Gresh looks very cool with his spikes, and I love his big shield, which can split into two blades. I also love that he can hold his Thornax Launcher without taking it apart to remove it from his hand. I also like his helmet. He is quite tall. He looks skinny. Lol. Tarduk looks like a gorilla for how he can move in four limbs. I like his helmet with the long spikes and his claws and shoulder blade spikes. Vastus has neat snake-based pieces and scythe. He looks like a tough guy. For the Ice Tribe sets, I like the use of white and blue, and their weapons look quite icy. The canister sets are Strakk and Gelu, and their Agori is Metus. Strakk has a cool (get it? Lol.) spiked helmet, big axe, and arm spikes. His axe is big like Lewa Mata’s in 2001. His helmet is quite rough on the forehead. Metus has a cool shield that looks like a snowflake. Gelu looks cool with his spiky armor, and his double-edged sword looks awesome. I like how Metus’ shield pieces are used for Gelu’s armor as well. For the Rock Tribe sets, I love the rocky designs and the use of black and red on the canister sets. The black and red makes them look evil. They also look quite fierce, fearsome, and menacing. They have pointy helmets as well, which are very cool. The canister sets are both Skrall, and they are Skrall (a generic Warrior Skrall) and Stronius. Their Agori is Atakus. Warrior Skrall looks awesome, and I love his big sword with a Thornax Launcher attached, spikes, and big saw shield with the fancy maze-like symbol. He has a Life Counter on the back of one of his feet, which restricts his mobility a little bit. A bit silly. Atakus looks cool because of his helmet and glow-in-the-dark blades. Stronius is a bulky dude with spikes all over his armor and club weapon. I love his bulk, armor, spikes, and club. For the Sand Tribe sets, they look like scorpions. I like their scorpion-based helmet designs, stinger tails on their backs, and the use of clawed feet. The canister set is a Vorox and the small set is a Zesk. The Vorox has neat spiked pieces with tan and brown blended together. The spear is good. Like the Warrior Skrall, one of the Vorox’s feet has a Life Counter on the back, which is restricting the mobility a little bit. Also a bit silly. The Zesk has four eye holes in his helmet, which is okay. For Mata Nui, who is a canister set, he looks cool. I like the spikes next to his shoulders and the ankle guards on his ankles. He looks like a pretty tough guy. I like his spiked shield. He also has a version of the Mask of Life that is designed to fit on a Glatorian’s head, which is near. Interesting thing is that he is yellow rather than gold, like his mask should have been. Lol. For Tuma, who is a Titan set, he is a black-armored guy with a big sword and blades on his back. I like the bulk and secondary green color on him. His helmet is rocky, which looks neat. I love his big sword and the blades on his back, which can rotate like wings. Cool thing is that he also has two Life Counters on his back. He also is the first constraction set to have the black sword piece rather than silver, like Brutaka in 2006. It’s interesting that his helmet looks like a movie version of Nidhiki’s face in 2004. For Fero & Skirmix, who are in a rider-and-steed large set, like Vezon & Fenrakk in 2006, they look cool. Fero sure looks evil with his intimidating look, with the Skrall helmet, black armor, and red eyes. He looks cute. Lol. I don’t know why he has 2008 hands instead of 2009 hands, though. Skirmix looks fierce, and I like his spikes and stinger tail. He has Shadow Matoran legs for arms. Lol. There is a summer packaging for this set, where Skirmix have slightly changed, but I’m not sure if it’s worthy buying that. For the Cendox V1 set, it looks cool. I love the blades and the new treads. Crostieus looks cool, and I like his helmet. For the Kaxium V3 set, it’s neat. I like the idea of it being a motorcycle that can split up into two smaller vehicles, which the smaller one being a sidecar. The drivers look cool and have some color diversity. They look like twins, and I wonder if they are twin brothers. It’s neat that their helmets are reversed versions of Crotesius’ helmet. For the Baranus V7 set, it’s very cool. Sahmad looks very cool, and has neat weapons and helmet. His chariot looks cool, and I like how Vezon’s/Hewkii’s chains are used. The Spikit looks cool, and it’s neat that it has two Glatorian heads for heads. You can also have Sahmad ride the Spikit like a steed, which is a neat feature. For the Thornatus V9, that thing is awesome! The vehicle has a large wheel in the back. Its spiky sides with wheels can go forward to make the vehicle look like a trident, which is a cool feature. I like that the vehicle has Midak Skyblasters, which are force launchers in the story. I love the design on the vehicle. Perditus looks cool, too. The set is kind of like the Jetrax T6 set in 2008. For the Skopio XV-1 set, man, oh, man, that thing is very awesome! The vehicle looks like a giant square-shaped spider with four giant legs with threads, same as the Cendox’s, inside them and long spikes, and a scorpion-like stinger tail with a Thornax Launcher for the tip and two force launchers on the sides. It can turn into a tank by folding its legs. It’s neat that you can move the legs around. It has mandibles that can pinch. Its red shell parts look like the Axalara T9 set’s armor in 2008. Telluris looks cool, and I like his tube parts and how they can connect to his machine. He has a 2008 Matoran torso for a torso, which makes him scrawny for a Glatorian, like the Penguin from DC Comics. Lol. Weird. Plus, there are two Life Counters, but you place one from Telluris to the back of the stinger, which is kind of weird, too. I mean, is that necessary? That set is one of the most expensive BIONICLE sets, is one of the biggest BIONICLE sets, and has one of the most amounts of pieces. This set is also called special or something in December 2009. For the Toa Mata Nui set, the Titan one, my, he looks awesome! It’s basically a large-scale version of the canister set. The use of the yellow is a bit overused while he has four gold pieces, but one of the gold pieces is the golden version of the Mask of Life in 2008. That’s something that we wanted, isn’t it? He has a Thornax Launcher attached to his shield, the sword, posable fingers, and two Life Counters on the back, which are neat. The pistons on his torso makes him a bit stiff, though. He’s quite chunky. For the Click set, which is a promotional bagged small set, it’s very cute. I like the use of the claws and blades that he has for horns. I wish Mata could have more gold on him, though. There is one combo model in 2009, which is called the Sand Stalker, which looks like a bear-like version of Skirmix. In the story, it’s a steed ridden by Glatorian. It is made of Fero & Skirmix and Malum. Well, it looks cool, and I like that one of Malum’s claws is used to help a rider sit on the beast. It has a weird-looking mouth, though. How come we got one combo model? Why not do much more, like combining Glatorian and Agori into more Glatorian or creatures? You can do that with Tuma to create the Element Lords, and the Baterra. You can create a Sand Bat and a Skopio by combining Skopio XV-1 and some other set, maybe the red ones. For the media, there are a bunch of stuff. They include five comic issues, two chapter books, three young readers books, three serials, a series of Polish AMEET activity books with chapters of a story called The Crossing, a guidebook called Mata Nui’s Guide to Bara Magna, a trading card game, that online game called Glatorian Arena and its sequels, the Lego Campaign thing with the Hero Agori, and the fourth direct-to-video movie called Bionicle: The Legend Reborn in September 2009. Here’s how they go: One of the chapter books is called Raid in Vulcanus, where Glatorian go to stop Fero and his squad of Bone Hunters from attacking Vulcanus. The Secret of Certavus - a young readers book where Gresh and Berix look for a book written by Certavus to help Gresh learn new tricks. Desert of Danger - Mata Nui fights a Sand Bat while he and Metus are going to Vulcanus. Mata Nui’s Challenge - Ackar teaches Mata Nui on how to expect his opponent’s next move, Empire of the Skrall - Tuma is the main protagonist as he goes to fight against the Battera. Reign of Shadows - The MU people are uniting to form rebellions against Teridax, who took control of Mata Nui’s giant original body. Riddle of the Great Beings - a podcast - Tarduk and his two Agori friends, Crotesius and Kirbold, who is an Ice Agori, go on a journey up north to discover a secret. They have to survive various danger, like the Element Lords, who were created by the Great Beings to lead the tribes before Core War and the Shattering happened, while they encounter some new things. The Crossing - It’s about Gresh and his friends escorting some metal called Exidian while fighting various threats. This story is written in Polish, but it is translated in English in BioSector01. Sadly, the books weren’t sold in America. Glatorian Arena - It’s where you play the first six Glatorian in a one-on-one fight. Those awards are hard to achieve, though. It has a game called the “Spikeball”, which is like soccer. You can talk to Agori in the Arena Magna. There is a sequel called Glatorian Arena 2, where you play six characters who were released in Glatorian Legends sets. This time, you got new moves. You talk to the Agori in Vulcanus. In another sequel called Glatorian 3, you only play as both waves of characters, and you can do multiplayer and fight in more places. Sadly, you can’t do other stuff that you used to, and this sequel wasn’t released in BIONICLE.com, but in only BZPower for some reason. All of the games are made by Unity. The Lego Campaign thing - It’s where you play as the Hero Agori, a Fire Agori whose name is unknown, as you have to gather up some allies to fight against Bone Hunters and defend Vulcanus from them. This story is considered canon. BIONICLE: The Legend Reborn - It’s Mata Nui’s adventure, as he goes to find a way back home to save his people from Teridax, but he have to help BA’s people fight against their united enemies. He is voiced by Michael Dorn, a famous actor. The movie’s animation is very much like the video game called Bionicle Heroes’ animation in 2006, rather than using the animation from the first three films for some reason (well, at least we got better voice actors in my opinion). The movie is very good, and is my favorite BIONICLE movie. There is an additional short included in there called Metus’ Revenge, which takes place after the events of the film where Click saves his friends from Metus. It was funny to watch. Lol. There is a novel based on the movie as well. The movie got some positive reviews, though I wish there should be more action rather than talking. Lol. It doesn’t have an actual trailer or a website, though. Plus, its soundtrack wasn’t released for some reason. Quite weird. These are great stories, I tell you. There is a music video that promoted the movie, which is “Bye Bye Babylon” by Cryoshell. Very good song. There is a graphic novel in 2010 where three are three stories that are centered on the 2009 characters before the events of the 2009 storyline. One tells about the Skrall with their encounter with the Baterra and how Branar got his name, the other about how Malum got exiled and went to the life of crime, and and the last one about the Core War. For the story, well, it’s very good. It’s nice that we get to learn about a new culture, world and people, rather than focusing on the MU people all of the time. Plus, it’s good to see how Mata Nui develops as a character and hero rather than just a ruler who needs to be saved anymore. He learns on how to defend himself and survive in his own, with the help of his new friends in Bara Magna. He is very inspiring, and he taught Bara Magna’s good-hearted people that unity can help them save themselves from their enemies. He is very compassionate for them, and wants to do the right thing by helping them out, something that relates to the fact that he had been ignoring his people in the MU before Teridax took it as an advantage and put Mata Nui to a coma. Along the way, he learns in how to be a warrior, since he told Metus that he would like to be called “Toa” Mata Nui. Lol. He didn’t get out much before he was overthrown, but he can learn. It’s interesting that Bara Magna was his birthplace. I mean, he was banished to his original home. Lol. As for the people in Bara Magna, we got a lot going on there. There is a lot of good character development here and there. It’s interesting that the people are like humans and Spherus Magna is like the planet Earth, and that make Mata and his people look like space aliens to them. Gresh is a compassionate fellow who wants to be successful. Tarix and Vastus are very nurturing people. Ackar is a good teacher who is worried about how people think of him, but he fights for them. Raanu is a concerned elder. Berix is a silly collector who likes collecting things. Tarduk is a determined adventurer who loves history. Kiina is a pushy person with a temper who just wants to have a sanctuary and a place much better than BA. Gelu is a shy fellow. Click is a compassionate and cute creature who weaves to help his friends. It’s sad that when BA people’s precious planet called Spherus Magna got split into three pieces, they have to survive on the desert part by fighting each other in arena matches over scarce resources. It’s like post-apocalypse. Things gotten worse when some of these people are villains who want to cause trouble in any way. These guys are jerks. I feel bad about some of those guys’ problems as well. Malum should have calmed down and not become a criminal, but he is an anti-hero as he helps out his fellow people whenever he feels like it occasionally. Strakk shouldn’t fight dirty or become a corrupt jerk with bad sportsmanship. Metus shouldn’t have betrayed his people like a selfish and power-hungry jerk. There has to be a cure for the Sand Tribe. The Rock Tribe should have asked the Glatorian and other tribes for help against the Baterra. Tuma shouldn’t be arrogant about things whenever he is in a situation. The Iron Tribe should have stayed together. The Bone Hunters are scrawny guys, but they are strong as they can fight against Glatorian. Lol. Mata Nui should have cured the Sand Tribe. Metus united the Skrall and the Bone Hunters, but how about Malum, Strakk, the Sand Tribe, and the Iron Tribe? It would be cool to have the Element Lord of Iron, even if the tribe has disbanded. Some of the characters, like Perditus, should do more stuff. Why not have Mata Nui fight against every foe in BA? Why not give Mata Nui’s canister set a sword, give Mata Nui in the storyline a Thornax Launcher, and give Tuma’s set a shield? Seriously. I would like to think that the Vorox whose tail stinger that Mata Nui broke is one of Malum’s Vorox, which could cause Malum to get angry and try to have revenge on Mata Nui for the breaking. I also think that many characters are uneven in many ways, like in the media. There are a lot of similarities between the MU and BA. Here’s this: 1. I see that the Glatorian and Agori are good-hearted, like the Toa, Matoran, and Turaga. The Glatorian look and fight like Toa, and the Agori are like Matoran and the Turaga. Glatorian with elemental powers are like the Toa as well. 2. Ackar is very much like Tahu and Onua. 3. When Berix is named chronicler by Mata Nui after the battle in Roxtus, he reminds me of Takua and Hahli. 4. The Skrall are like the Makuta species how corrupt and arrogant they are. 5. The Skrall and Bone Hunters are like the Skakdi by being savage. 6. Tuma and Metus are like Makuta Teridax. Tuma wears black armor, is mean and tyrannical, and big like Teridax. Metus is a conniving planner like Teridax. 7. Tuma has similar color schemes as Mutran. Lol. 8. Metus is like Ahkomu by being a short traitor. 9. The Baterra are like the Makuta by shape-shifting. 10. There’s a giant robot in the Mega-Village that looks like the Great Spirit Robot. 11. The Element Lords are kind of like the Toa because they have elemental powers. 12. The regions in Bara Magna is sort of like the island of Mata Nui in 2001 for how naturally-looking they are. 13. The Cendox and Crotesius look kind of like Vultraz and his vehicle. 14. The Baranus and Sahmad look kind of like Pohatu and the Rockoh T3. 15. The Thornatus V9 and Perditus look kind of like Antroz and the Jetrax T6. 16. The Skopio XV-1 is like the Axalara T9 because of the red shell parts. 17. The Bone Hunters and their Rock Steeds remind me of Vezon and Fenrakk/Kardas Dragon. 18. The Skopio and Vorox are kind of like the Nui-Jaja, you know, the Rahi scorpions in 2001. 19. The Sand Bat’s face is like Chirox’s Mask. 20. Some of the creatures in BA are like the Rahi. 21. Tuma’s helmet like like the movie version of Nidhiki’s face. 22. Mata Nui’s fight with Tuma is like Takanuva’s fight with Teridax in the Mask of Light movie. 23. How the Scarabax Beetles encountered Mata Nui’s arrival in Bara Magna is like the Ussal Crabs encountering Kopaka’s arrival in the island of Mata Nui. 24. How Mata Nui made friends with Click reminds me of how Jaller made friends with a Hanna Crab in the 2007 storyline. Well, I consider the storyline to be one of my favorites, and it’s a good reboot. Well, in 2010, more stuff in Bara Magna happened, and we get to learn more about the 2009 characters. Plus, some 2009 characters play big parts in the 2010 storyline. Sadly, this is the last full G1 year. The film was supposed to have two sequels, one in 2010 and one in 2011, but they got cancelled because BIONICLE G1 was going to end in 2010. Dang. Bionicle was doing good so far during the time. Quite disappointing. However, Greg Farshtey was kind enough to show us the treatment of the fifth movie in November 2009, which is where the cancellation of G1’s toy line was announced. That was one of our darkest days in Bionicle’s history, other than G2’s cancellation. (crying in tears of sadness). Then the Great Depression of constraction started in 2010. The 2009 storyline was the last good G1 year for sets. Well, I think Lego cancelled the G1 toy line due to so many sets being sold and expensive prices. Well, we got a lot of minor characters, anyway. All of those are just my theories. So, guys, what are your fond memories of the storyline, what do you think about it, what’s your favorite 2009 set, favorite character(s) in 2009, favorite moment in the storyline, what things remind you of the 2009 storyline, and/or how would you celebrate it? For me, well, my favorite sets are Mata Nui, both canister and Titan sets, Tuma, Skopio XV-1, Thornatus, Gresh, Vastus, Malum, Vorox, Skrall, and Stronius. My favorite characters, are Mata Nui, Gresh, Ackar, Malum, Tuma, Stronius, and Berix. My favorite moments are when Mata Nui makes friends with Click, the big fight with the Skrall in Atero, the Glatorian’s fight with Telluris, Mata Nui’s fight with Tuma, Mata Nui’s and his two friends’ fight with the Bone Hunters and the Skopio in the canyons, Mata Nui turning Metus into a snake, Mata Nui and his friends discovering stuff in the Great Beings’ Underground Lab, Mata Nui and his gang convincing the good-hearted tribes to work together, Berix kicking some Bone Hunter butt (lol), and Mata Nui and his friends combining their new powers to defeat the united bad guys. The things that remind me are: 1. Hero Factory - it used a lot of elements from the 2009 storyline, including the heads and hands. Plus, a Drop Ship pilot looks like one of the guys who drive the Kaxium. The 2.0 Heroes remind me of some Glatorian whose helmets don’t cover their mouths. Core Hunter looks like Stronius. Thornraxx’s name reminds me of Thornax. The animation in the Hero Factory TV show is made by the same company who made Bionicle: The Legend Reborn. The relationships between veteran Heroes and rookie Heroes are sort of like the Glatorian’s. How the Brain Attack episode kind of started with a beetle crawling around in the desert and discovering something alien is like how Bionicle: The Legend Reborn started with Click witnessing Mata Nui’s arrival. 2. Ninjago - The summer storyline, Hunted, is like Bionicle’s 2009 storyline. Plus, the Oni from Ninjago’s “TV movie” called March of the Oni remind me of the Skrall. Also, the Serpentine are kind of like the Skrall because of their hierarchy. Skalidor reminds me of Stronius, as his head looks similar to Stronius’ helmet. 3. The live-action Transformers movies - In the first and second films, how Scorponok attacks people in the desert is like the Vorox and Skopio attacking people in the desert. Also, in the second film, the Fallen looks like a Skrall, and this whole battle in the desert in that movie sort of reminds me of the 2009 storyline. In the fourth film, the poster does look like a desert, and the plot is a loose continuation. Optimus Prime is like Mata Nui, Bumblebee is like Gresh, and Megatron is like Tuma. 4. Star Wars - Episodes 1, 4, and 7 are like the 2009 storyline by starting with the lonely desert planets. 5. DC Comics - How Mata Nui got to Bara Magna is like how Clark Kent/Superman got to Earth when he was a baby. Same kind of goes to Hal Jordan for how he became the Green Lantern and meets the Green Lantern Corps. 6. Marvel Cinematic Universe - In the first Thor movie, Thor is like Mata Nui when he got banished to a desert on Earth, his god-like powers being stripped away, and makes some new friends in the desert. How Thor fights the Destroyer is like Mata Nui fighting Tuma. In the third Thor movie, how Thor unintentionally ended up in the planet of Sakarr is sort of like how Mata Nui ended up in Bara Magna. How Thor and the Hulk fight in an arena is like Mata Nui’s fight with Tuma. Avengers: Endgame’s trailers and posters remind me of the 2009 storyline for how the logo looks dusty, like Bara Magna, and people are suffering oppression from a mighty tyrant. I haven’t watched the movie yet, though. 7. Disney’s Aladdin - How Aladdin and his faithful pet monkey named Babu have an adventure in the desert is sort of like how Mata Nui and Click have theirs in Bara Magna. 8. Disney’s The Lion King - How Simba ended up being out from his home, being in the desert, and made friends with new people in a new place is sort of like how Mata Nui got removed from his home, ended up in a desert, and made some new friends in a new place. 9. Samurai Jack - How Jack ended up in another place and goes to return home is like Mata Nui’s quest to return home. 10. Disney’s Hercules - How Hercules ended up in the surface while having his god-hood stripped away is sort of like how Mata Nui ended up on Bara Magna while his god-like powers got stripped away. 11. Disney’s Alice in Wonderland movies - How Alice end up in a new place kind of reminds me Mata Nui ending up in Bara Magna, and for how Alice learns how to fight against evil in the 2010 movie reminds me of how Mata Nui learns how to fight when fighting against evil. 12. Sonic and the Black Knight - How Sonic uses his magical sword is sort of like Mata Nui. Plus, how Sonic fought the Black Knight and then discovered that his new friend, Merlina, who is a conniving traitor who is responsible for everything is like how Mata Nui fought Tuma and then discovered that Metus is a traitor who was responsible for everything. 13. In Planet Sheen, how Sheen ended up in the planet of Zeenu is like how Mata Nui ended up in Bara Magna. 14. Bionicle 2015-2016 - the heads are like the Bars Magna people’s and the Okotans are like Agori. 15. Two Lego Toy Story sets, the brick-made Buzz Lightyear and Emperor Zurg’s action figures have the hands. 16. The Bara Magna people’s heads remind me of Iron Man from Marvel. 17. The Glatorian hands had been used since 2009, but in 2011, when CCBS happened, the hands went from four fingers to five fingers. Plus, the Thornax Launchers has been used a little since 2009, but in 2012, they got replaced by smaller versions with two different new molds. The piece that a Life Counter comes from is used since 2009, including Burnzie’s hammer from Nexo Knights in 2016. Also, in terms of my life, the 2009 storyline reminds me of a fact that when I made a lot of good memories and friends in my past schools, my graduations forced me out of my schools and I ended up in a new school, where I make new good memories and friends in there while trying to reconnecting my past ones. The past ones define me for who I am. Plus, Mata Nui’s power to give Glatorian powers is one of many things that inspired me to draw my friends as superhero versions of themselves to honor, respect, and appreciate our friendships. My friends appreciate this and are happy to have me as their friend. It’s very impactful to my heart in terms of nostalgia.

Hi, guys! I know that Bionicle had ended three years ago sadly, but let’s be happy about Bionicle for something else. You see, this year, 2019, is the 15th anniversary of Bionicle’s 2004 storyline, which is a prequel where the Turaga of Mata Nui from 2001 are telling their people and Toa who they truly are and their history with a new place that they are settling in, which is an island city called Metru Nui. The Turaga were once a team of six Toa called the Toa Metru and were Metru Nui’s heroes, which explains why the Toa Nuva and Takanuva were not the first Toa on the island of Mata Nui. In the Turaga’s story, to Toa Metru go to collect six mysterious magical disks called the Great Disks while protecting Metru Nui from a mysterious threat. Anyway, I know that this year doesn't have anything Bionicle-related (well, has anyone seen anything Bionicle in The Lego Movie 2, like The Lego Movie in 2014?), but let’s celebrate the 15th anniversary of the 2004 storyline. That would enlighten you more. Let me tell you the 2004 storyline: The storyline started when the Turaga and their people are moving in to Metru Nui, which is ruined and abandoned, they tell the Toa Nuva that they were not the first Toa, which surprises the Toa, so the Toa have the Turaga explain this. So, the Turaga tell their story. Their story started a thousand years ago, when the Matoran were living in Metru Nui when it wasn’t ruined and use magical disks called Kanoka Disks, which shaped like the Bamboo Disks in 2001. The Disks can be used to make Kanohi masks. Metru Nui is divided into six city districts, and each is where each Matoran type lived. The districts are Ta-Metru, home of the Ta-Matoran, Ga-Metru Ga-Matoran, Le-Metru Le-Matoran, Po-Metru Po-Matoran, Onu-Metru Onu-Matoran, and Ko-Metru Ko-Matoran. The island itself looks like Mata Nui by shape and color. Also, each of the Metru was looked after by one of six types of robotic law enforcers called the Vahki. A Toa of Fire named Lhikan (his name makes me think of Lincoln. Lol.) sensed danger in the city, so he went to get six magical stones called the Toa Stones, the object that Takua used in Tale of the Tohunga in 2001. However, two Hulk-sized villains, Krekka and Nidhiki, who were bounty hunters called Dark Hunters, were after him, but he got away. Krekka is an unintelligent ape-like blue being who is the brawn, lost the right eye, and has a shoulder-mounted launcher that shoots Kanoka Disks. Nidhiki is an insect-like green monster with four insect legs and pincers who is the brains, was once a Toa, and shoots Kanoka Disks from his mouth. Both of them can fly. Lhikan delivered each Toa Stone to a Matoran from one of the Metru, and they are Onewa the Po-Matoran, Whenua the Onu-Matoran, Nuju the Ko-Matoran, Matau the Le-Matoran, Nokama the Ga-Matoran, and finally Vakama the Ta-Matoran. After that, the Dark Hunters kidnapped Lhikan, and Vakama witnessed this and had a vision about something relating to this. Vakama felt bad about Lhikan’s capture. Lhikan also told the Matoran that they have to go to a shrine where they will use the Stones, and when they went inside the place, they met each other. When they put the Stones in a pedestal in the middle of the shrine, the Stones turned them into new Toa. They had no idea how to use their new Toa powers or weapons yet. Vakama had another vision where they must find the Greak Disks, which are mysterious and special Kanoka Disks. The Toa formed a team called the Toa Metru, and Vakama is their leader. They went off to find the Disks, and each of the Toa must find its Metru’s own Disk. They got a group of six Matoran who use guns called Kanoka Launchers, which shoot Kanoka Disks, to assist them. Along the way, they fought against an evil and talking plant-based monster called the Morbuzakh, which was threatening Metru Nui. The Toa defeated the monster. They then went to the middle part of Metru Nui called the Coliseum, where they are greeted by the city’s ruler named Turaga Dume. Dume challenged the Toa with some challenges. The Toa saw the Dark Hunters accompanying him and he had been acting suspicious, so they tried to tell their people about it, but they didn’t listen. Dume tried to capture and imprison the Toa, but Vakama, Nokama, and Matau escaped while the others got kidnapped. The Dark Hunters tried to capture Vakama’s part of his team many times, but they couldn’t succeed. Along the way, Vakama noticed that the Great Disks can be combined into a new disk. The Toa also met a pack of big rhino-like Rahi called the Kikanalo, which are led by a chief. Both parts of the Toa team were learning how to use their Kanohi masks’ powers and their weapons while Vakama kept getting more visions. Nokama, who uses a Kanohi mask that can translate languages, was able to understand the Rahi, so she had them help her part get to the other part. The Toa Metru fought the Vahki along the way. The other part, which consisted of Nuju, Onewa, and Whenua, were assisted by some Turaga stranger who helped them how to use their Kanohi powers. The two parts of the team eventually reunited while encountering various Rahi. Every Toa but Vakama know how to use their Kanohi powers, and Vakama is having some self-doubt about himself as a Toa by title. The Turaga revealed himself to be Lhikan as a Turaga, who sacrificed his Toa power to create the Toa Metru in the first place. The Toa fought that Lhikan wanted them to save the city since he also said that cryptic saying “Save the heart of Metru Nui”, but Lhikan clarified that he meant the city’s people. Plus, they discovered Dume sleeping in a sphere-like container called a Matoran Pod while Lhikan revealed that there is an evil imposter who is pretending to be Dume and is the one who is accompanied and employs the Dark Hunters. Along the way, the fake Dume, who is assisted by a Hulk-sized Rahi bird called a Niwark who transports him and tells him information, had the Matoran get inside the Matoran Pods. Meanwhile, the Toa and Lhikan got themselves a beetle-like vehicle to travel and get to the Coliseum to try to stop the fake Dume from getting the Matoran, but they were too late. The fake Dume revealed himself as Makuta from 2001 and 2003, the very villain who the Toa Nuva fought and the one responsible for the events in the storyline and is the main antagonist of it. He also revealed his plan to use the Pods to wipe out the Matoran’s memories, use a special Kanohi mask called the Vahi, aka the Mask of Time, the very mask that Tahu used in the early 2003 storyline with the Bohrok-Kal, to accelerate the process, and become their leader. He used Metru Nui’s energies to put the Great Spirit Mata Nui into a coma, which is said in the 2001 storyline. Great disaster happened because of this. The Toa and Lhikan got the captive Matoran in their Matoran Pods to get away from Makuta. Makuta used a dark power called a Shadow Hand, which is a physical arm made of his shadow energy that can grab things, to get his Niwark and the Dark Hunters, and he then absorbed them to kill them, so he can have their essence to transform into a more powerful and bigger form, which is Hulk-sized and uses his victims’ body parts. Makuta then tried to stop the heroes, but the heroes survived, but lost some of their Matoran into a sea of Protodermis. Along the way, Vakama combined all six of the Great Disks into a new disk called the Disk of Time, and then used his mask-making skills that he has when he was a Matoran to turn the disk into the Vahi, something that Makuta tried to have Vakama do when Vakama was a Matoran. Vakama went to face Makuta with the Vahi in hand. He tried to use the Vahi against Makuta while Makuta tried use the Shadow Hand to eat Vakama, but Vakama only slowed the attack down while the Hand is still after him. However, Lhikan saved Vakama’s life by using his shield to block the Hand, which grabbed the shield and put some shadow energy into Lhikan, which was deadly. Lhikan was dying, but he gave his Mask of Shielding to Vakama for safekeeping. Vakama then learned how to use his Mask of Concealment. He stopped Makuta from his getting claws on the Vahi by shooting Vahi out of Makuta’s claws and it sunk into the sea. Makuta got angry and then used the Hand to try to get Vakama in revenge, but Vakama kept dodging the attack by tricking Makuta into getting some rock pillars. Vakama then tricked Makuta into getting a bigger pillar to hurt himself by slamming into a wall. While Makuta is greatly weakened, the other Toa Metru reunited with Vakama and then the whole team combined their elemental powers to create a Toa Seal to imprison Makuta, the same thing that the Toa Mata used to imprisoned the Bahrag in the 2002 storyline. After the threat was defeated, the Toa got all of the Matoran and then brought them to the island of Mata Nui. The Toa sacrificed their power to awaken the Matoran from their sleep in the Matoran Pods, and this caused the Toa to turn into the Turaga of Mata Nui. The Matoran got shrunk and weaker a little when they were in the Pods. When one of the Matoran named Jaller’s mask broke, Vakama used Lhikan’s mask to give Jaller back his strength. That’s where the Turaga started their new life on Mata Nui, as they turned the Pods into their villages and ruled over the Matoran way before the 2001 storyline happened. However, there is something in between Makuta’s defeat and the new settlement in the island of Mata Nui, and that’s where the 2005 storyline happened. To celebrate, let me ask you this: What are your fond memories about the storyline and/or what do you like about it? For me, I like the canister sets. They look cool, and I love their vast range of new pieces. I like the Toa Metru’s new heads, where you don’t have to lose their masks easily. Plus, I like that they have bendable limbs, both arms and legs, but how the torso is designed is weird because it’s V-shaped in the chest, but you could make the Toa look like that they are running. Lol. Anyway, I like their new weapons and how you can store them and do multiple functions with them. The Disk launchers in general are neat because that they keep the discs tighter than the 2001 Matoran’s hands can. The Toa’s masks are neat. However, the Toa Metru don’t have unique secondary colors, like the Toa Mata/Toa Nuva, as they have gray parts. As for the Vahki, they look cool. It’s neat that you can turn them into four-legged insects. Plus, you can shoot Kanoka Disks from their mouths. As for the small sets, which are the Toa Metru’s Matoran helpers, well, they look cool. Again, nice new pieces, including the limbs and the triangle-shaped torsos, but the colors are the same problem sort of. It’s neat that their masks look like they are switched from 2001 in a sense for variety on the new Matoran and that they have silver parts blended on the masks. Plus, it’s cool that there are both Great and Noble versions of the Turaga’s masks from 2001. Also, these Matoran are from Mata Nui Online Game 2 in 2003. As for the Titan sets, they look neat. I like Krekka’s launcher and how it can retract. I am not fond of his arms, though. I wonder what would he look like with he had kept his lost eye. Nidhiki looks cool. I like his claws, insect legs, his shooting mouth, and how he can change from centaur shape to crab shape. His limbs look kind of lanky, though. For the Turaga Dume and Niwark pack, that is a neat set. Dume looks cool, but looks more of a Matoran than a Turaga. Lol. I like Niwark’s clawed feet and the function on his torso to carry Dume around. His wings look weird, though. There is the Lhikan & Kikanalo set. That’s neat, too. I like Lhikan’s mask, big swords, and gold armor. It’s cool that he can combine his swords into a shield. I like the Rahi. He looks cool. I like his claws and horn and the use of the Chronicler’s Staff head pieces on the head, but some of his joints are kind of stiff. Sad thing is that Lhikan and the Rahi never worked together in the story. As for the combo Titan set, Ultimate Dume, which is Makuta’s winged Titan form and is a combination of Krekka, Nidhiki, and Dume & Niwark, that looks awesome! I like the wings, teeth, and claws, and he’s very tall! I like that he has a version of Makuta’s Mask of Shadows, which is design to fit over his big head. I also like that it looks kind of like the 2003 version. He looks kind of lanky, though. There’s a pack that gives you some Kanoka Disks. That’s neat, as you would want to collect these disks because there are many different kinds of them. The plant monster is not officially a Lego set, but in a Lego magazine from Europe, there is a sponge toy based on it. That’s weird, but alright. Next, the combo models. Well, they are cool and alright. The centaur-like combo model, which is made of Vakama, Onewa, and Matau, looks neat. I like the tail and blades. The other model with the other three Toa Metru, which looks like a penguin, looks alright, and I like the claws. There’s also the six-Toa-Metru model, which looks awesome! Ain’t she a beauty? I like how she has the colors and tools of the whole Toa team! The combo models for the Matoran look alright and cool, too. I like that you can shoot Kanoka Disks from one of them. They both look cute as well. The Vahki combo models look awesome! The Lorahk model, which is made of Nidhiki and Dume & Niwark, looks cool, but kind of lanky. I wish that Lego could have provided instructions on the Toa Metru’s Toa Kaita (never happened in the story, but would be nice in many ways), the Matoran’s Matoran Nui (featured in the story only), and Krekka could combine with Nidhiki and Dume & Niwark individually, if you know what I mean. It would also be nice to see what Nidhiki looks like as a Toa, and released that form as a set. I also wish that there are five other Toa Disks rather than the Fire one in Vakama’s set. Overall, for the sets, they look cool and neat. I like the Disk launchers. However, the gray color is overused. For the story and media, well, I think it’s very great. The story is told through books primarily, comics, and a direct-to-video movie called Bionicle 2: Legends of Metru Nui. Plus, there is an online game where you play as Vakama to fight against the plant monster by shooting its vines with Vakama’s disk launcher. There was originally a video game that is a sequel to Bionicle: The Game in 2003, but that got cancelled for some reason, probably because the first game didn’t go so well. There’s also a handheld game called Bionicle: Maze of Shadows, but it’s in 2005. I like the Toa Metru because they are cool people, and I understand that they are rookies when they are learning how to be Toa. Matau is a funny guy. I feel bad about Vakama’s self doubts about himself being a Toa and he had been seeing nightmarish visions. We get to learn a lot about how the Turaga of Mata Nui learn about the experiences in 2001-2003. Lhikan is a good character. I see that he was trying to be a good teacher for the Toa Metru. I like the villains. They’re cool. Nidhiki and Krekka make a good comical duo. I feel about about them getting eaten by Makuta. Poor guys. Makuta was always sinister and good at planning, and it’s sad to see that he put Mata Nui to sleep. That’s horrifying. It’s cool that he can use the Shadow Hand to grab and eat beings and stuff, which is scary to look at. It’s scary that Nidhiki called Lhikan his “brother”, which made me question who he was until that I learned that he was once a Toa. It’s sad to think about it. Krekka is a funny guy who is dumb. It’s interesting that the Kikanalo are ran by a chief, and that they helped the Toa Metru on their journey. It’s also interesting that the Matoran shrunk from their Metru Nui forms to Mata Nui forms. The 2004 Matoran are alright. One of The is the notorious Ahkomu, the very bad guy who made his people sick in Mata Nui Online Game in 2001. He should have learned better. The Vahki are cool. Overall, it’s a good prequel, it has very good character development, and it’s cool to learn about the Turaga’s origins and how masks are made. It’s one of my favorite storylines. So, guys, what are your fond memories of the storyline, what do you like about it, what’s your favorite 2004 set, favorite character(s) in 2004, favorite moment in the storyline, what things remind you of the 2004 storyline, and/or how would you celebrate it? For me, well, my favorite sets are Vakama, Matau, Whenua, Nidhiki, Krekka, Ultimate Dume, and the red, blue and black Vahki, and my favorite characters are Matau, Whenua, Makuta, Nidhiki, and Krekka. The things that remind me are: 1. X-Men: First Class in 2011 - kind of similar. 2. Hero Factory - How Preston Stormer looked at Thresher as his teacher is like how Vakama looked at Lhikan. Plus, the Queen Beast reminds me of Nidhiki. 3. Bionicle 2015-2016 - Skull Slicer’s game reminds me of the Coliseum. Plus, Master Tahu’s swords are like Lhikan’s, but more connected, I would say. 4. Ninjago - How the early Elemental Masters experiences their encounters with various threats.

Hi, guys! I know that Hero Factory has ended and there isn’t a G2 for it, but let’s just happy for something else. We could celebrate HF’s storyline in 2014 called Invasion From Below. It’s been five years, a week, and three days since this happened, as the Hero Factory website got updated with the 2014 content, including the online game with the TV episode. So, let’s celebrate the storyline’s 5th anniversary. Basically, the storyline is about the Heroes from the Brain Attack storyline in 2013, Stormer, Furno, Bulk, Surge, Breez, Evo, and Rocka, minus Stringer and Nex for some reason again, sadly, using their new mechs called Battle Machines to protect a city called Antropolis from a race of monsters called the Jumpers, which came from underneath the city. The storyline is extremely different from HF’s past years in many ways. It filled with playset-like constraction sets this time rather than constraction action figures, as there are new minifigure versions of the Heroes while they are using their mechs and fighting giant monsters. The website became square-ish again rather than vertical when you scroll it. Unlike the first ten TV episodes, this TV episode is very unique in various unhealthy ways, sadly. It did not come in Nickelodeon or Nicktoons this time, sadly, as it is kind of exclusive in the game itself. Plus, Lego had hired Ghost Animations and whatever other company to make this episode, like some kind of a Bionicle online video, rather than having Tinseltown Toons and Threshold Studios to do it. Plus, the popular actors are changed with completely new ones that we are not familiar with. The storyline is like the least best HF storyline, but let’s celebrate its 5th anniversary to cheer ourselves up. To celebrate IFB’s 5th anniversary, let me tell you the story in there. It’s all started when a bunch of miners from Antropolis were using a drill to create a tunnel underneath the city. However, the drill disappeared into a big cave under the city and awakened the Jumpers, which disturbed them and made them think that they were attacked, so the Jumpers kidnapped the miners. Other miners called Evo to investigate the situation, as Evo drove a a small Battle Machine called the Walker Machine. However, the Jumpers destroyed the machine, and then Evo discovered that the Jumpers, including giant mutated ones, are attacking the city, so he called his team, the Alpha 1 Team, for backup. The members of the team, Stormer, Furno, Bulk, Surge, Breez, and Rocka, arrived. Stormer, Furno, and Rocka used a new giant machine that can create Battle Machines to make their own Battle Machines to go fight the monsters while the other Heroes are fighting the monsters on their own. Evo stayed behind to make himself a new Battle Machine. While the Heroes were fighting the Jumpers, which are normally small and bug-like repilitian man-sized creatures with rhino-like heads that can jump high, are strong, and always attack their enemies without getting tired, they also fought the giant mutated versions of them, which are Jaw Beasts, purple male beasts that bite, and at least a Flyer Beast, a male yellow beast that have wings that allow him to fly, has a big clawed hand and uses a tower antenna as a weapon. Along the way, Breez learned that they can communicate like people, and Rocka saw what she meant. The mechs were destroyed by the Jumpers while Stormer was kidnapped by a Jaw Beast. After Furno’s mech was destroyed, Furno was running away from another giant beast called the Splitter Beast, which is a pair of two giant beasts that combine to form a monster with two heads. One of them is the bigger bipedal orange female beast with big hands with orange claws that uses a lamppost as a weapon while the other one is a smaller male blue beast that can be carried by the orange beast like a piggy back ride. When Evo finished his mech, which is the XL Battle Machine, he used it to fight the Splitter Beast while he and Furno worked together to defeat the beast. However, only the orange beast was defeated, as the blue one kidnapped Furno. Breez called Hero reinforcements to take care of the monsters on the city, as she and the remaining Heroes went inside the cave to save the miners and their friends there. End of the winter wave part. This is where the summer wave part begins. The Heroes saved the miners and then created new mechs for all of themselves to adapt to the cave. Breez read the readings in the cave that they shouldn’t go further, but they got no choice because they wanted to save their friends. When they are travelling further into the cave, they accidentally split up into two groups. One is Rocka and Surge going to an upper part of the cave where rocks are floating and have weird magnetic and gravitational properties while the other is Bulk, Breez, and Evo going to a lower part where there are crystals and lakes made of acid. Rocka and Surge fought some Jumpers and giant mutated ones called the Tunneller Beasts, which are red insect-like female beasts with clawed hands. One of those beasts kidnapped Surge, and Rocka got out of the upper part of the cave to go after Surge. Bulk, Breez, and Evo fought some Jumpers and giant mutated ones called the Crystal Beasts, which are female beasts with transparent blue body parts and spikes that have clawed hands and staffs that grab people. This group of Heroes managed to get out of the lower part of the cave. The remaining four Heroes went to the Jumpers’ nest, which is where their leader, the Queen Beast, who is the queen and the mother of the Jumpers, live and kept Stormer, Furno, and Surge hostage. The Heroes started fighting the queen, who is the biggest and most powerful of the Jumpers and giant mutated beasts that looks like an insect version of a centaur that has blue wings that allow her to fly, clawed hands, and is armed with a staff that grabs people, but she is too tough to defeat, all but Evo’s mech, which is the Spider Battle Machine, are destroyed during their journey. When the Heroes destroyed a part of the nest that made some of the Jumper cocoons fall into a lake made of acid, which killed the Jumpers inside, the queen got so angry that she called upon her minions to destroy the Heroes. The Heroes were surrounded and having a hard time fighting the Jumpers, but Breez made a plan, and the Heroes had to give her a chance. Breez talked to and convinced the queen to stop the invasion because no one was trying to attack her kind, as the queen told his kind to stop attacking the city. Then, peace is restored, and the Heroes and the Jumpers were in good terms, as the queen returned Stormer, Furno, and Surge to the remaining Heroes. When all the Heroes started to leave the nest, one of the Jumpers accidentally triggered one of the Heroes’ guns that killed some of the cocooned Jumpers, which angered the queen so much that she falsely blamed the Heroes for this and started attacking them again. However, Stormer used a canister from the Spider Battle Machine to stop the queen and destroy the nest, which caused the acid to kill the entire Jumper species, leaving no Jumper alive. The Heroes then used the Machine to get themselves out of the cave finally. The Heroes told the city’s people to close the cave to prevent more problems and make a brigade above the city. When the Heroes were going back home, but they didin’t notice that there is the last surviving Jumper in a cocoon stowed away in their Drop Ship. The end of the entire storyline. In fact, the end of the entire Hero Factory franchise’s story, but as an unresolved cliffhanger. Now, for the sets, well, it’s interesting that Lego was trying something new for the Hero Factory by giving it its own playsets like it did for Bionicle and that the playsets look kind of like the constraction action figures, but this is not the best idea. It’s a little good, but not the best idea. I’m more of an action figure person than a playset person, to be honest. I like the monsters more than the mechs, though, because they are very much like the action figures. I hate that there are a lot of stickers on the mechs. I’m not a sticker fan, either. The Jumpers, which are included in the mech sets, are fun to launch when you press their torsos to make them jump. There are 15 sets in total. Eight of them are in the winter wave while the other seven are in the summer wave. Some of them are primarily mechs while the others are giant beasts. One of them is both mech and giant beast set, though. They all have the Hero minifigures. The mech sets are pilots by Heroes, and some of them have containers that look like Meltdown’s and Nitroblast’s from the 2010 and 2011 sets. All but one of the mech sets in the winter wave are shaped like humans while all but one of the ones in the summer wave look like crawling insects. There is a crawling mech set in the winter wave, which is the Evo Crawler set, which is a very small set with three legs. Not much from it, but it looks cute. Lol. The human-shaped mech set in the summer wave is the Rocka Digger set, which is a very small set with the chainsaw hands. Not much from it, but it looks cute, too. Lol. Each Hero has his or her own mech set, even though that Surge is sharing his with Rocka in a summer set called the Surge & Rocka Combo Machine, which can split into two mechs where each is piloted by one of these Heroes. Plus, Evo and Rocka have more mechs than the other Heroes, where each has one mech. Some is the sets have Heroes without their mechs and are fighting the monsters alone. The Heroes have new molds that are like improvements to the minifigures in the Bionicle G1 era. The Heroes look like their 1.0 versions in 2010, but Bulk’s and Surge’s helmets are different for some reason while the episode is where their helmets look like the 1.0 versions. The Jumpers in the winter wave have black torsos while the summer wave sets feature Jumpers with blue torsos. There are six types of those Jumpers, and they are ones with black torsos with red legs, black torsos with orange legs, black with green, blue with red, blue with orange, and blue with green. The blue and red one is not shown in any of the sets for some strange reason, but you can mix and match if that makes you happy, and it is exclusive in the episode, I think, and the online game. The summer wave sets also have Jumper cocoons that are both eggs for the Jumpers and prisons for captured Heroes. They are made of four pieces. I think they are kind of cool. Good for storage. The giant beasts’ heads are made of two main jaw pieces, where one is longer than the other, and they can have spikes on them. The beasts also have those pointy black things on their tails, hands, and feet, and there are gold versions of these pieces in the Queen Beast’s Staff, if you know what I mean. Plus, they have these new foot pieces. All Jumpers in general are primarily black and with blue as a secondary color for most of the beasts. As how I feel about the sets, well, they are pretty cool, but are not my favorite HF sets in general. It’s cool that the mechs have these new seat pieces that can connect the Hero. Plus, it’s awesome that you can mix and match the equipment in the summer mechs as well as splitting up the Splitter Beast into two smaller beasts. I love Bulk’s mech because of the drill, Evo’s XL mech because it’s a big mech, like the Hulk from Marvel, and Surge’s and Rocka’s mech because it’s a big mech and can split up into two mechs. I like that you can connect pieces from the winter mechs to Evo’s XL Machine to give it four more arms with arsenal. As for the beasts, I think they are my favorite in this wave because, as I said before, are more like action figures than how the mechs are. I love the claws and heads. The normal Jumpers are cute. I love the Splitter Beast and the Queen Beast the best. Plus, I love the grabbing staffs from the Crystal Beast and the Queen Beast, as well as the Flyer Beast’s and the Queen Beast’s wings. It’s sad that there’s no Stringer or Nex in the sets. I would love to see what their mechs would look like. I wish the red and blue normal Jumper could have been included. As for the episode, I feel kind of negative for it, but it does have a few positive qualities. I love the graphics for how it looked like an improvement from the first ten episodes by having pupils, organically moving mouths, it uses the Heroes’ 1.0 helmets in a way, and the Heroes look like their action figure selves rather than their minifigure selves (they look like their 2.0 selves, in other words). However, the Heroes have four fingers per hand instead of five for some reason. I mean, this isn’t 2010 or 2011. We moved on. The Heroes look kind of plain-looking, but they need to fit onto the mechs, anyway. I love how the monsters look in the episode. They look more realistic menacing reptiles. Man, they are quite tough, like the Hulk from Marvel. As for the story, well, there isn’t much to it, sadly. There isn’t much character development, but I could see that the Heroes aren’t trusting Breez in talking with the creatures until the end when they are having a hard time fighting them in the nest. Breez is quite clever with her ability to talk to animals. What’s up with those Heroes? Seriously. She’s always helpful for them, even in the past with her ability. I mean, did they forget? Plus, where’s Stringer, Nex, Zib and Quadal, and Makuro? They disappeared for some reason? Why? Anyway, it’s interesting that Rocka acts like a second-in-command for the Heroes when Stormer and Furno were kidnapped. Well, he is one of the main protagonists in the franchise, after all. It’s cool that the Heroes can build their mechs like Lego sets, but why do it when there is an emergency? Plus, these things are getting easily destroyed like tissue paper. That’s being ridiculous as well. Plus, the Heroes are missing some weapons from their sets in the episode, like Furno’s sword in the Splitter Beast set. However, I do like the part where Stormer was having a little trouble with his mech. Lol. The monsters are like the Hulk, as they break everything in their path easily, and they don’t rest until everything opposing them is destroyed. That’s very cool. I see that they want peace for themselves, but they felt threatened by their confusion with the drill, so they attacked. I understand that they’re animals because of that. Not only animals. They are actually people who can communicate, like the animals in Hero Factory’s Savage Planet storyline. Sadly, I feel bad for the creatures for how they died because of the Heroes’ action against them. I mean, the Heroes only cared about protecting the city, even if it means making the creatures extinct (well, there’s one that they are unknowingly carrying). These things were trying to have peace, but this is ridiculous. What were the creators of the episode thinking? They at first thought about making peace, but they changed the ending where the “extinction” happened. This is just being silly. Also, why the unresolved cliffhanger? I hate those. It’s like Brain Attack and Bionicle 2001-2010. Again, this is just being silly. Well, we did see the Heroes’s heads without their helmets for the first time (unlike the Bionicle movies and the first ten HF episodes). They look a little plain generic, but alright. I mean, they don’t look too ugly. Well, maybe a little bit. Why don’t the other companies do that’s in the past? Now, for how the episode is made overall, I find the change of companies and how things went with the storyline weird. I mean, seriously, what’s going on, Lego? Why the new companies and the new unpopular voice actors that we are not familiar with? It could do much better than that. And then, the franchise ended. The episode is kind of like the Brain Attack episode in 2013, but much worse. This is a polar opposite of how you can say good things about Steven Universe. Dang. The episode is like the worst of the episodes. Why didn’t have it played on Nickelodeon or Nicktoons, too? That’s also ridiculous. Plus, the storyline shows that the constraction category is going downhill (even Legends of Chima’s action figures in 2014 weren’t shown in that year’s Toy Fair for some reason). As for the game, it is where you play as the Heroes as you collect three pieces for the mechs. You have to watch out for the normal Jumpers, otherwise they will defeat you. When you completed your mech, you go to fight against a beast, who is a boss in the level. You also have to watch out for obstacles in that monster’s area. If your mech is destroyed, you go back to rebuild it to continue fight the beast until you defeat it. The online game is one thing, and there is an app version of it, where you buy two downloadable pieces of content to play two more levels. I played the game. I say that the game is fun, but not the best in my opinion. Plus, you can’t have Evo’s Walker mech, fight the Flyer Beast, or the beasts that form the Splitter Beast individually. That’s sad. As for the combo models, well, they look cool, but not the best, either. The mech combos look cool. I like the monster combos the best, though. Sadly, they are not canon. As for the comics in the instruction manuals in the sets, well, they look good, but not the best. I wish they could have longer stories, and it’s too bad that they aren’t canon. So, there you have it. That storyline is like the worst of the HF storylines. No joke. I’m sorry if I sounded negative in some parts, but that’s how I feel, to be honest. We had Bionicle coming back in 2015, anyway. Thumbs up for that. Plus, some of the new pieces introduced in the storyline are featured in some Lego themes after HF ended, like Legends of Chima, Bionicle 2015-2016, Ninjago, Star Wars, and Lego Dimensions, as they have those pointy insect things, the monster feet, the Heroes’ arms, and the Queen Beast’s wing pieces that look like Ben 10 sets’ tail pieces, but they are skeletal. The episode was called the most watched video in the Lego website, anyway. Anyway, how would you celebrate the 5th anniversary of the storyline? Plus, what is your favorite set in the storyline? Favorite characters? Favorite parts of the episode? What reminds you of the storyline? Well, I would rewatch the episode and play with the IFB sets. I collected all of the sets. My favorite characters are Rocka and Bulk. My favorite parts are when Stormer is having trouble with his mech, Breez wresting the Flyer Beast, Surge and Rocka using their Combo mech, Bulk kicking some monster butt, and Breez making peace with the monsters. The things that remind me of the storyline are: 1. The Pacific Rim movies in 2013 and 2018 - they are very similar. Lol. 2. Bionicle - many things. Nidhiki is like the Queen Beast, the Bahrag are like the Queen Beast, the Visorak, The Skull Spiders, the Shadow Traps, and the Elemental Beasts are like the Jumpers, and how the 2008 Toa Nuva Makuta, the Toa Uniters, and Umarak combine with their little partners remind me of the Splitter Beast. 3. The Amazing Spider-Man 2 in 2014 - the Rhino reminds me of Jaw Beast. 4. Kirby: Right Back at Ya! - Dyna Blade and her chick are like the Queen Beast and her children because the mother protects her baby, and if anything threatens the baby, the mother can get angry and attack the ones that caused this. The mothers are very powerful and giant beasts, so they are hard to be defeated. Plus, they are not actually evil, as they just want to protect their babies, even if it means harming good-hearted and are stubborn when they listen to them.

Hi, guys! I am not sure if you remember a certain Bionicle video game called Bionicle: The Game in 2003, so I would say it’s been 15 years. 3 months, and a day since the game was released on September 1, 2003. If anyone remembers the game from their childhood, let’s celebrate. To celebrate, let me tell you what the game is: The game is the first Bionicle game to have console versions, like PlayStation 2 (I played the game with that version). It is based on Bionicle’s 2001-2003 storylines and and the direct-to-video movie called Bionicle: Mask of Light in 2003. It is about the Toa Mata/Toa Nuva and Takanuva fighting Makuta and his forces to save the island of Mata Nui from them. The console versions are mainly about the 2002 and 2003 storylines. There are eight levels, each is where you play as one of the Toa in its Wahi: 1. Tahu Mata - Tahu fights four Kohrak, a breed of the Bohrok. It’s also where Takua found a mysterious Kanohi mask. 2. Kopaka Mata - Kopaka slides though snowy mountains to find and fight a Gahlok and a Tahnok before they reach Ko-Koro to attack it. 3. Gali Nuva - after the Toa Mata got turned into the Toa Nuva by the Krana that they collected, Gali fights against the Bohrok-Kal, who threaten the Ga-Matoran. After that, Takua warns Gali about the Rahkshi. 4. Pohatu Nuva - Gali warms Pohatu about the Rahkshi, as Pohatu goes to warn Onua about it. Pohatu goes in a mining cart and travels into the Onu-Wahi to find Onua. 5. Onua Nuva - Onua goes to find and fight a Rahkshi called a Lerahk. 6. Lewa Nuva - Gali warns Lewa about the Rahkshi, as Lewa goes to find and fight another Rahkshi called a Panrahk. 7. Tahu Nuva - Tahu surfs on lava to race against another Rahkshi called a Kurahk, who has the mask that Takua was talking about called the Mask of Light. After defeating Kurahk, the Mask goes on Takua’s face and turns into into the legendary Toa of Light called Takanuva (called Takua Nuva in the game) before he disappears. 8. Takua Nuva - Takanuva challenges Makuta to a fight to end Makuta’s threat once and for once. After Takanuva defeated Makuta, he combined with Makuta to become Takutanuva, who opened a door to a new place. Along the way, when you can shoot energy to your enemies, which are the Infected Rahi. Kopaka and Tahu Nuva only do surfing in their levels while the others travel on foot. Gali and Onua do a special move called a Nuva Blast, which can act like a bomb that can destroy everything in its path in the area, but it takes up a lot of energy. Gali can swim and Lewa can fly. You also have to rescue Matoran and collect Lightstones. In the handheld versions, you get to play as all six Toa Mata and six Toa Nuva. The Toa Mata fight against the Bohrok, and then the Toa Nuva fight against the Rahkshi. The Toa Nuva never fought the Bohrok-Kal. Anyway, let me review the console versions of the game. I like that the game made characters look more like a human, like the movie, but the graphics are kind of horrible. I like the movie’s better. Plus, I understand that each Toa has two fingers in each hands, like the Tahu Mata, Lewa Mata, and Pohatu Mata sets in 2001, but they look weird with them when you compare them to the movie, where characters have five fingers in each hand. The level design is fine, but I wish Kopaka Mata and Tahu Nuva could do some travelling. It’s interesting we get to explore the island of Mata Nui, which is divided into six regions. Plus, I wish Kopaka Nuva, Gali Mata, Pohatu Mata, Onua Mata, and Lewa Mata are playable (there is a commercial where you can play as Lewa Mata, but that wasn’t shown in the game, sadly). I also wish some of the levels could have been longer. As for the story, it is rushed. It has the storylines combined, so the Toa wouldn’t catch a break. It is radically different from the canon story, as there are some different things that don’t make sense, like Krana turning the Toa Mata into the Toa Nuva, Gali defeating all six of the Bohrok-Kal, the Panrahk left behind a Krana, and Takanuva putting his mask of Makuta’s face to combine with him into Takutanuva. However, I do like that Takanuva fights Makuta by blasting him and fighting his minions rather doing a Kohlii match with him. Sadly, you never see all of the Turaga, for that you only see three of them, all six Matoran types, and all six Rahkshi. The 2001 storyline is not shown, either. You never fight all of the Bohrok or the Rahkshi, nor do you fight the Bohrok-Kal in the handheld versions. I wish the game could have been longer if these ideas had happened. I heard that Lego didn’t have time to do these things. Overall, the game is a little fun, but it is not the best Lego or Bionicle game that I ever played. Wished it has more stuff and could have been longer. Nothing’s perfect much. In fact, I heard it got negative reviews. Plus, there was originally a sequel for the game, which is based on the 2004 storyline and another movie called Bionicle 2: Legends of Metru Nui, but it got cancelled. We haven’t known that until several years ago in this decade. It was surprising when that happened. I loved Bionicle Heroes in 2006 better than Bionicle: The Game because it is longer and has more stuff, something that can last many hours. The 2003 game, though, only lasts an hour. Not much and too short. That’s all because Heroes is made by Traveller’s Tales, and they make the best Lego games there are. Lego should’ve have took some more time improving the 2003 game. However, we get to see how would characters that never appeared in the movie look like if they had. Plus, the Nuva Blast influenced Greg Farshtey to make a new part of the G1 story, where Toa in general can do a powerful and explosive attack, which is similar to the Nuva Blast. So, what’s your favorite part of the game? For me, well, I like the Gali, Onua, and the Takanuva levels the best. How would you celebrate the game’s 15th anniversary? For me, well, I would replay the game. Happy 15th anniversary to the game, even if it is cruddy.

Hi, guys! I know that Hero Factory ended sadly, but let’s be happy about HF something else. You see, this year, 2018, is the 5th anniversary of HF’s storyline called Brain Attack in 2013. So, let’s celebrate the 5th anniversary of the 2013 storyline. Let me tell you the Brain Attack storyline: It was started when the Alpha 1 Team (Stormer, Bulk, Furno, Breez, Evo, and Rocka) are celebrating with their people from Makuhero City for their successfulness. They got a monument with their statues to commemorate with their successfulness. The Heroes are like celebrities or superheroes to be praised. Surge, however, doesn’t like interacting with people while talking to Breez about it. Meanwhile, a mysterious villain that looks like Black Phantom from the Breakout storyline in 2012, but with different horns, is creating big brain-like parasites with spikes and long tails called the Brains in a secret base in an asteroid. He also uses plans that are about the Hero Factory building and stolen by Black Phantom in the past storyline to have the Brains attack the Hero Factory organization, so they wouldn’t stand in his way. He put the Brains in little rockets and launches them from his base, and they are heading to the Hero Factory’s home planet. When the Brains arrived on different environments on the planet, they jump onto a lot of the planet’s different animals’ heads to mutate them into monsters and mind-control them while the Brains attach themselves on the animals’ heads. These creatures include: 1. Pyrox - a red creature that was once a small bull that can resist being in lava and lived in a volcano, but got mutated into a big Minotaur-like monster that has black legs, red claws on the left hand, long black horns, and a staff-like weapon that spins around and shoot fire and lava. 2. Scarox - a gold creature that was once a small beetle that lived in a desert, but got mutated into a human-sized version of itself that has green poisonous fangs and four insect claws for arms. 3. Bruzier - a big gray rocky creature that was once a rock golem that lived in a mountain that eats jewels, but got mutated into a strong spiky monster with a big and spiked right arm, and his left hand is holding a dagger. 4. Ogrum - a big green creature that was once an ogre-like creature that lived in a jungle and eats mushrooms, but got mutated into a bulky and plant-based monster that has big brown hands, vines on the right hand that stretch like a rubber band, grab things, and regrow when being cut, a frail being held in his left hand, and fangs. 5. Aquagon - a yellow aquatic creature that was once a fish-like creature that lived and swam in an ocean, but got mutated into a human-shaped monster that can breathe air, walk on land, and is armed with two blue swords that can combine into a two-sided weapon. 6. Frost Beast - a big white creature that was once a yeti-like creature that lived in a snowy environment, but got mutated into a spiked monster that has blue claws on his left hand, a blue sword being held in his right hand, and can shoot ice from his mouth. 7. Dragon Bolt - a big blue dragon that has big wings that can fly and a strong tail with two spikes that was once a normal creature that lived in a cave in a jungle, but got mutated into a powerful monstrous version of himself that spits electric fireballs from its mouth. After the mutations, the Brains head to Makuhero City to attack it. One of Hero Factory’s staff members named Nathaniel Zib notices this, so he lets the Heroes know about it. The Heroes got upgraded with new armor that has locking clamps that protect their Hero Cores, helmets with visors with various functions that flip if they want to battle or not, and new weapons. After that, the Heroes notice the attack, Furno, who is in his XL form, which is the size of the Hulk from Marvel, is shown to be a commander of many Hero teams, including his own, as he commands some to go to different places in the city. He tells Surge to go defend the Hero Factory building while the others fight the monsters, even though that Surge is annoyed by that because he wants to do action outside the building. When the Alpha 1 Team found the monsters marching on the city’s streets, they don’t want to harm them because they are innocent animals that are controlled by the Brains. The Heroes defend themselves on the streets while Evo patrol the city’s sewers to fight the Aquagons. While Surge was defending the building, he is attacked and outnumbered by a bunch of Brains. The Heroes are worried that they are going to get tired out, but Bulk figures out a way to defeat the Brains, which is to hit the Brains’ spikes to remove them from the monsters to turn them back to normal. Bulk tells the Heroes about this, so they are able to defeat the Brains. Dragon Bolt shows up and breaks through the building by breaking through the walls while something happens to Surge because Surge went inside the building’s Assembly Tower for some reason. Rocka goes to fight the dragon while the rest of the Alpha 1 Team goes to find Surge in the Tower. Rocka finds Dragon Bolt in a room in a building and a big hole that he made. Rocka fights and tries to defeat the dragon, but the dragon while Rocka and then Rocka gets trapped in a room with weapons. However, Rocka finds a big jet pack with blasters, so he uses it to fight the dragon, Rocka then defeats the dragon by removing the Brain from the dragon’s head, freeing and turning the dragon back to normal. Meanwhile, the other Heroes finds Surge, who got controlled by a Brain and created an army of blank Heroes to fight the Heroes. The Heroes fight the army while Breez goes to stop Surge from creating more blank Heroes to destroy the Factory. The blank Heroes may be mindless drones, but the Alpha 1 Team would get tired out if they keep on fighting. Breez removes the Brain from Surge, freeing him. Surge stops making more blank Heroes and shuts them down to end the fight. The Brains are defeated and all of their possessed slaves are freed, ending their attack. The Heroes imprison the Brains and help repair the city that got damaged by the Brains. Surge changes his mind into wanting to help the citizens of the city repair it. Meanwhile, two Hero Factory workers go into the hole to investigate it, and they find a bunch of Brains hiding there. They attack the workers. That’s about it in the main storyline. This was never resolved. However, there are more adventures that involve the Brains. They were started when the Brains were heading to the Hero Factory’s planet, a solar storm split the swarm of Brains into two groups, one that arrived on the planet while the other went elsewhere. The Heroes first encountered this group in a space ship called the Valiant. The Brains controlled the ship’s robotic crew there. However, the Heroes freed the crew from the Brains. Later on, when Stringer was on another planet, he was attacked by the Brains and got controlled by one of them. The whole planet got attacked by the Brains while some members of a secret robotic conspiracy were doing a secret project, which was a weapon called Project Sunstorm that they would use to go against Hero Factory. The conspiracy used the Valiant to cover their intentions. The Heroes went to save Stringer and the whole planet from the Brains. When one of the conspiracy members named Karter was destroying the project, the Heroes arrested him because they wanted to examine the project and didn’t want it to be in the wrong hands. Later on, some of the Alpha 1 Team, who are Stormer, Furno, Breez, and Bulk, accidentally got sent to an alternate universe by a power generator. The universe is where the Alpha 1 Team’s villainous enemies, Von Nebula, the Legion of Darkness, and Core Hunter, took over the universe, the Heroes were defeated and went into hiding, and the Brains are bigger, have wings that fly, can shoot powerful laser beams, and communicate telepathically. The prime universe’s Heroes helped this universe’s Heroes defeat the villains, repair Hero Factory, and save the universe from the villains. The prime universe Heroes then went back to their universe and find Karter, who was planning to destroy the Hero Factory, talking to the conspiracy’s leader with a communicator, but Stormer stopped him from destroying the factory and threatened the conspiracy’s boss. The boss killed Karter. The whole thing with the conspiracy went unresolved, too. To celebrate, let me ask you this: What are your fond memories about the storyline and/or what do you like about it? For me, the Heroes look very cool. I like the new armor that have the locking clamps on their Hero Factory. The visors are pretty neat, as you can open and close them by flipping them over the Heroes’ helmets, but attaching them to the Heroes’ heads is weird. The design on the helmet are pretty good. I like that they are versions of the Heroes’ 2012 helmets. I like Rocka’s sword and shield. I like that the shield has two blades that spin around. I like the secondary green color scheme on Rocka. I like Bulk’s drill weapon with the flick missile launcher and his shield. I like his secondary orange color scheme. Breez has a cool two-bladed weapon that looks like an archer bow. I also like her saw shield. I like the light green and dark green color schemes on her. I am too fond of Breez’s helmet being silver, though. I like that you can store those Heroes’ shields on their backs. Furno XL looks awesome with that form! I love his sword, shield, cape, and flame pieces! He looks a bit skinny for his XL form, though. Evo looks cool, and I like his staff with the two blades that bend and his dagger. I also like the fact that you can store the staff on Evo’s back. He doesn’t look like that he has water-based equipment, though. Stormer looks very cool. I love his sword, shield, flick missile launcher, and spiked armor. Surge looks very cool, and I like his electric weapon that can spin, like Pyrox’s staff, and wings that fold and have flick missiles. Jet Rocka looks very cool. I love his big jet pack, the weapons (the flick missiles, plasma blasters from the 2012 storyline, and the blades) on it, and the green and white color schemes! It’s quite interestingly weird that Rocka’s body got lengthened to make him look like a Titan figure in that set, though. I don’t like stickers in there, either. Too bad that there are no sets for Stringer or Nex. I mean, why didn’t they have their own 2013 sets? Bummer. As for the villains, well, they look pretty cool. I love the squishy Brain pieces, and they are kind of cute. It’s cool that you can attach the Brains’ bodies onto the villains’ heads. Plus, how you can put the villains’ faces onto their faces is like Toa Metru’s masks from Bionicle 2001-2010. The Brains make the villain’s necks sort of stiff when you attach them, though. Pyrox looks very cool! I love his spinning staff, claws, and horns, and he looks fearsome! Though, his big head is sort of stiff. Scarox has a neat gold color, and I love his claws and fangs, and the fact that he has four arms. His arms are sort of weird, though, because they are short. Bruizer’s name sure fits him because he is sure bulky and strong. I like his arm and the swing function in it. Cool. The arm is a little stiff, though. Ogrum looks cool and menacing. I like his fangs, frail, and vines, and it’s nice to see light green, dark green, and brown color schemes on him because he is based on a plant. He looks like that he is missing a fourth vine on his right hand, though. Plus, combining hands with his arms sure makes his arms look weird. Aquagon looks very cool, and I love his blue swords. Frost Beast’s name is kind of not creative. He would need a better name like his fellow monsters. However, he looks cool and menacing, and I like his bulky sword, claws, and spikes. Dragon Bolt is awesome, and I love his lightning pieces, tail, head that chomps, Brain that glows in the dark, and those giant wings that look like that it is made of blades! It’s neat that he has a button that you can use to flap his wings, and he’s big. Anyway, his name sounds like “lightning bolt”. Neat name. His body looks kind of disproportionate, though, as you can compare his head to his body. I wish that his Brain’s body would glow in the dark rather than just its eyes and spikes, too. I see that most of the characters released in sets are based on Knights and medieval mythology, like how most of the Heroes look like knights, Pyrox looks like a Minotaur, Bruizer a rock golem, Ogrum an ogre, and Dragon Bolt a dragon. Plus, each of the Heroes have their own monster counterpart to fight against because of their similar abilities and traits. Here’s how it is: 1. Furno vs. Pyrox - red color and fire 2. Rocka vs. Scarox - gold color 3. Bulk vs. Bruizer - gray color, and Bruzier is based on rocks while Bulk has a drill. Plus, both of them are tough and strong guys. 4. Breez vs. Ogrum - green color, and Ogrum is based on plants while Breez has a sharp bow and saw shield. 5. Evo vs. Aquagon - yellow color and water 6. Stormer vs. Frost Beast - white color, ice, and spiked armor 7. Surge vs. Dragon Bolt - blue color, electricity, and flying I wonder what would Stringer’s and Nex’s monster counterparts be and look like if the Heroes would have their own sets? I’ll bet they would be black and orange, respectively. Too bad that there are no such sets existed. Plus, there is no set for that mysterious villain who created and unleashed the Brains, either. Anyway, I love the new pieces in the storyline. I like the new transparent heads, swords, Hero Factory shield pieces (two of them can connect to make an “H” for Hero Factory. Nice.), visors, Brain pieces, and those flame pieces. Nice choice of colors with those pieces in the sets as well, though I wish there are red heads for sets with red pieces. The flick missiles are neat. As for the combo models, there are only seven, and each is made of one of the Heroes and its monster counterpart. These combo models look like Heroes getting upgraded as they have bulky features that belong to their monsters. They look very cool. They’re not canon, though. As for the story and media, well, the story is pretty good, but could’ve been better. It doesn’t sound much. I mean, the only thing that the Brains did was to try to attack Hero Factory, and we don’t know who that villain is and why he did all of this. We don’t know anything about this conspiracy, either. Stringer and Nex weren’t involved with the battle in the city for some reason, either. Plus, Mission: Catch ‘Em and Cuff ‘Em from the 2012 storyline is still there. Shouldn’t it be done over with after the storyline is over? These are quite annoying. There is a little bit of character development, and there are some questionable things in the storyline. Surge was complaining about interacting with citizens, but Breez is trying to convince him to get used to it. Surge loves to do action outside of the factory. Plus, he is a funny guy who gets into funny situations, though, even if he is in danger. Lol (like when he tried to get a Brain away from him with his lightning blades, he accidentally shocked himself to dance like Michael Jackson uncontrollably). I like the he learned his lesson about interacting with the people, too. Breez is a cool Hero who is very talented. I don’t understand why she was too scared to talk to Brain-controlled animals. Lol. I’m glad that Bulk is able to figure things out rather than being just a fighter, and he used some references from The Avengers in 2012 (Captain America’s throwing shield move and Hulk Smash, as he said “Bulk Smash”). Lol. Since when Furno is the commander of many Hero teams? Man, he’s growing up fast, but why having this position for some reason? I like that Rocka is being productive when he was fighting Dragon Bolt alone. I mean, he used the jet pack to fight the dragon like how Optimus Prime from Transformers: Dark of the Moon used his jet pack. I don’t see much from Stormer or Evo, though, but I like that Stormer is a cool fighter whose weapons can freeze things and Evo can swim and fight underwater. Anyway, shouldn’t Evo and Rocka become veteran members of their team because of their actions? I think they should be (I don’t know about Nex, but I think he should be, too). The Brains and their monsters are quite funny. Lol. For the side characters, including Quadal, Daniella Capricorn, and her camera-bot, they are funny. For the media, there is one 22-minute TV episode, three Secret Missions chapter books, and a guide book that is about the whole Hero Factory story from 2010 to 2013. The episode is alright, but could’ve been better. The animation is good, though there are some silly things. The normal Bruziers have two big arms before the Brains controlled them, the normal Frost Beasts have two claws before the Brains controlled them, Bulk and Breez not being in their 2012 forms, and the monsters’ weapons came out of nowhere. I like the humor, though. Man, the monsters in there are quite scary. The Brains are cute, though. Plus, I don’t know why Furno’s voice actor replaced in this episode, but I like Josh Keaton, man! Anyway, again, a short story, like a special. Sadly, that is the last episode to be played on TV. The chapter books are okay. It’s nice to see Stringer and Nex in one of them, and it’s interesting that there is that conspiracy. It would be cool that the conspiracy would have been the main villains in a future storyline, but it never happened. Plus, these books are the last chapter books, depressingly. The guidebook is very cool, and it provides some good and interesting intel. There’s online and app game called Brain Attack, based on the storyline, where you play as your made-up Hero to fight the Brains and their monsters in different parts of the city by shooting at them. You can use codes from the sets’ Hero Core pieces to gain some points, so you can use them to buy some stuff easier. I played and liked the game. It was fun and a good game, though I feel that it is missing a few things. There’s also an app where you can make your face look like one of the monsters. I don’t know what to say about it. There’s also comics and Hero Factory’s website contents. Well, there is one comic issue that is about Jet Rocka fighting against two Dragon Bolts. It’s good and funny, but not the best issue. The website contents showed more alternate universes, which is, well, interesting. Plus, I remembered that Hero Factory’s website has this silly page that goes vertically when you scroll in it. The website has some interesting videos, and these vary a lot. Many of them are silly, and I like the ones that are about the Brains attacking the animals. It’s weird that the episode came out in the website first when being on TV for some reason, and I don’t know why the episode doesn’t show those videos completely. Not the best version of the website, but alright. Anyway, Lego provided instruction on combining the Furno XL set with the CHI Laval set from Legends of Chima to make a bulkier version of the Laval set that is more like Laval’s minifigure form. That’s spontaneous, but I find it cool. Sadly, we have a lot of unresolved stuff here and there in the storyline. It’s a bit of a mess. Never did the 2014 storyline talked about them. Overall, the storyline is not the best storyline, but it is good in a few ways. I believe that’s where Lego is having a budget problem that got worse than in 2012. So, guys, what are your fond memories of the storyline, what do you like about it, what’s your favorite 2013 set, favorite character(s) in 2013, favorite moment in the storyline, what things remind you of the 2013 storyline, and/or how would you celebrate it? For me, well, my favorite sets are Furno XL, Stormer, Surge, Bulk, Pyrox, Aquagon, Frost Beast, Dragon Bolt, and Jet Rocka to be honest, and my favorite characters are Furno, Surge, Stormer, Rocka, and Dragon Bolt. I remember talking to my friends about the storyline five years ago and this year in Instagram. The things that remind me are: 1. Krang, the Utrom, and the Kraang from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles franchise - they are brain-like aliens who come to attack heroes’ home planet and mutate living beings into monsters (the 2012 storyline, at least). 2. Dr. Amino from the Ben 10 franchise - he mutated animals into his monstrous servants. 3. The Xenomorphs/DNAliens from Ben 10: Alien Force and Ben 10: Ultimate Alien - these evil creatures are like the Brains by latching onto their hosts’ heads to mind-control them. 4. Optimus Prime from Transformers: Dark of the Moon in 2011, Transformers: Age of Extinction in 2014, and Transformers: The Last Knight in 2017 - In Dark of the Moon, Optimus has a jet pack with many weapons, like Rocka with his jet pack. In the other two movies, Optimus looks kind of like a knight and has a powerful sword, like the Heroes who have swords. 5. Nexo Knights - the Nexo Knights kind of remind me of the Heroes’ 2013 forms. 6. Tahu from Bionicle - Tahu is like Furno because they have fire powers and fire-based swords. Plus, Tahu’s 2015 look has similar legs as Furno’s. 7. Kopaka from Bionicle - Kopaka is similar to Stormer because they have ice powers, swords, shields, and special headwear that tells them things. 8. Umarak and the Elemental Beasts from Bionicle 2015-2016 - their faces remind me of Aquagon’s a little. Quake Beast and Bruzier has similar big right arms, and they are strong monsters that are based on rocks. 9. Lewa from Bionicle - Surge is like Lewa over there by accidentally looking for trouble. Lol. 10. The Toa Metru from Bionicle 2001-2010 - how you put the Brain Attack villain sets’ faces on their heads is like how you place the Toa Metru’s masks on their faces. 11. The Krana from Bionicle 2001-2010 - how the Brains control their hosts is like the Krana. 12. The Lightning Dragon from Ninjago - that dragon reminds me of Dragon Bolt. 13. The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug in 2013 - that scene where the Dwarves and Bilbo Baggins fight Smaug by using their surroundings against him is like in the Brain Attack game where you use your surroundings to defeat Dragon Bolt. 14. The Skrill from DreamWorks’ Dragons TV show - that dragon reminds me of Dragon Bolt 15. Predaking from Transformers: Prime - that dragon-based character kind of reminds me of Dragon Bolt because of the head and the spiked tail. Both of them were introduced in 2013. 16. The Jaggerwocky from Alice in Wonderland in 2010 - that dragon kind of reminds me of Dragon Bolt because he shoots electricity from his mouth and has spikes. 17. Bionicle: The Legend Reborn in 2009 - the scene in the Hero Factory episode where normal Scarox was wandering in the desert is like that scene in B:TLR where Click was wandering in the desert while finding the Mask of Life. 18. Electro from The Amazing Spider-Man 2 in 2014 - Electric shooting electricity from his mouth reminds me of Dragon Bolt.

Hi, guys! I know that Bionicle had ended two years ago sadly, but let’s be happy about Bionicle for something else. You see, this year, 2018, is the 10th anniversary of Bionicle’s 2008 storyline, which involved the Toa Nuva fighting against the Brotherhood of Makuta in Karda Nui, which is the heart of the Matoran Universe, where they will reawaken Mata Nui. I know that this year doesn't have anything Bionicle-related (well, there is this set piece that has the picture of the island of Mata Nui with its name in Matoran, and the piece is in that new The Lego Ninjago Movie set with the docks in this year, and there is an article talking about The Legend of Mata Nui computer game recently), but let’s celebrate the 10th anniversary of the 2008 storyline. That would enlighten you more. Let me tell you the 2008 storyline: The storyline started when a group of three bat-like Makuta, the Makuta of Metru Nui’s evil species who form an organization called the Brotherhood of Makuta, Antroz, the field leader of the Brotherhood of Makuta, Vamprah, the silent one, and Chirox, a scientist who fights dirty, attacking a place called Karda Nui, in a bunch of villages inhabited by a type of Matoran called the Av-Matoran, the Matoran of Light and the very type that Takua from 2001-2003 belonged to. The Makuta did this because they want to prevent them from becoming Toa of Light, so they use pods called Tridax Pods, which unleash mutated Kraata called Shadow Leeches, to turn the Matoran into a new type of Matoran called Shadow Matoran, which are evil and shoot Shadow powers. The Av-Matoran shoot light, and they can change color. During the attack, the Makuta noticed Matoro from 2007, who was using the Kanohi Ignika, aka the Mask of Life, to revive the Great Spirit Mata Nui, who was dying, the Makuta went to get there, but when Matoro sacrificed his life to use the mask, this created a flash of light so bright that that blinded the Makuta nearby. The Makuta can’t see because of that. The Av-Matoran are trying to defend themselves from the Makuta’s attack, but they are losing. However, the Toa Nuva from 2001-2003, who are given magical armor called the Adaptive Armor by Artakha, are sent by him to Karda Nui to continue completing their mission to reawaken the Great Spirit Mata Nui. When they arrived, they notice the battle, so they help the Matoran fight against the Makuta. The Toa Nuva start remembering their lives as the Toa Mata in Karda Nui, but they can’t remember more. When the Toa learned that after Matoro used the mask, it fell into a swamp below Karda Nui called the Swamp of Secrets, the Toa decide to split up into two teams of three to get things done. The first team is Kopaka, the leader in there, Lewa, and Pohatu, while the other team is Tahu, the leader in there, Gali, and Onua. Kopaka’s team will protect the Matoran from the Makuta while the other team will go to the Swamp to get the Mask. The first team of Toa Nuva and the Makuta that they are fighting are called Phantoka, which is Matoran for “spirits of the sky”. Each of the Toa is teamed up with an Av-Matoran with the same color as the Toa does, as the Av-Maotran can combine with the Toa by attaching his body to the Toa’s back, like a piggy back ride. This allows the Av-Matoran to have an extra light-based power, and the Toa can read the Matoran’s memories. Kopaka teamed up with Solek, who likes to learn about the Toa Mata when the Toa were on Karda Nui in the past and was best friends with Takua. Lewa teamed up with Tanma, who is the leader of the Av-Matoran. Pohatu teamed up with Photok, who is brave. The Toa’s armor adapted to Karda Nui’s skies, as the armor gave them aircraft-based equipment that can make them fly like aircrafts. Plus, each of the Toa has a new weapon that they called a Midak Skyblaster, which can shoot powerful spheres of light. Each of the Makuta, who can fly because they are based on bats also is teamed up with a Shadow Matoran with the same color as the Makuta does, as the Shadow Matoran can combine with the Makuta by attaching his body to the Makuta’s back, like a piggy back ride. This allows the Shadow Matoran to have an extra Shadow-based power, and the Makuta can read the Matoran’s memories. Also, since the Makuta are blinded, they use the Matoran as their second eyes. The Matoran are mutated by their fellow Makuta named Mutran, who is a crazy scientist who created the Shadow Leeches, to look like monsters. Antroz teamed up with Radiak, who was close friends with Photok when he was an Av-Matoran and is mutated to be four-legged, like an animal. Vamprah teamed up with Gavla, who didn’t have any friends when she was an Av-Matoran and is the Av-Matoran to become a Shadow Matoran. Chirox teamed up with Kirop, who was the leader of the Av-Matoran when he was one of them and when he became a Shadow Matoran, Tanma took his place as the new leader of the Av-Matoran. Mutran also teamed up with a Shadow Matoran named Vican, who was a Le-Matoran and is his assistant. Vican can combine with Mutran, but he doesn’t get extra powers because he was never an Av-Matoran. Meanwhile, the Mask of Life is in the Swamp, and, as it has a mind of its own, is thinking about Matoro’s heroism, which inspired the mask to become a Toa like him. The Mask used microorganisms in the Swamp to grow a Toa-like body, weapons, and a flying board-like vehicle called the Skyboard and then called itself Toa Ignika and a “he” to honor Matoro and some Toa guy before him, who is a male, too. Toa Ignika flew out of the Swamp to help the Phantoka Toa while the Mask is silver. So, the battle between the Phantoka groups begins. Toa Ignika helps the Toa during the battle. Toa Ignika doesn’t know how to talk, but the Toa and Makuta later on discover that Toa Ignika is wearing the Mask of Life. The Toa wants to destroy a place called the Shadow Leech Hive, where the Shadow Leeches are made, and Toa Ignika is able to do it for them. The Makuta sent Vican to summon another fellow Makuta named Makuta Icarax, the very Makuta who was in a serial called Toa Nuva Blog in 2007 and wears the Makuta of Metru Nui’s mask called the Kanohi Kraakhan, aka the Mask of Shadows, to help them win the fight. All of the Makuta have Tridax Pods contains in their rib cages, and drop them to unleash their Shadow Leeches, like atomic bombs. Toa Ignika devolves Icarax from a being who is made of a substance called Antidermis in gaseous form to his original bio-mechanical form, hurting Icarax. Meanwhile, Tahu’s group are traveling through the Swamp to find the Mask of Life. Along the way, they get attacked by another group of three Makuta who are based on swamp insects. These Makuta are mutated by the swamp’s magical waters called the Pit Mutagen, which made them lost some of their powers, including shape-shifting. These Makuta Krika, the four-legged cricket-based leader of the group who needs heat to survive, Gorast, the four-armed mosquito-based Makuta with a fierce temper who needs someone’s inner Light to survive, and Bitil, the ambitious beetle-based Makuta. Both groups are called Mistika, which is Matoran for “spirits of the mist”. Each member of the groups is armed with a gun called the Nynrah Ghost Blaster. The Mistika Toa’s armor gave them small jet-based equipment to fly while the Makuta can fly. The Makuta’s Blasters can control any mechanical being or object while the Toa’s can create constructs made of mental energy. Later on, the Phantoka Toa are reunited with the Mistika ones while the Phantoka Makuta are reunited with the Mistika ones to continue their fight. Before the reunions happened, the Toa Nuva discovered and collected six keystones that tell instructions on how to reawaken Mata Nui when they are put together, like puzzle pieces. The Phantoka Toa got three of them in the villages while the Mistika Toa got the other three in the swamps. Before Icarax went to Karda Nui, he used a Shadow Leech that was meant to turn a Matoran in Metru Nui named Ahkomu, but the Leech went to turn Takanuva, the Toa of Light from the 2003 storyline, evil instead. The Leech tried to turn Takanuva evil, but it only sucked up half of Takanuva’s inner Light because Takanuva stopped the Leech by hardly destroying it. Takanuva has the power of Light and the power of Shadow, and his gold armor turned dark gray. The power of Shadow also makes Takanuva angry and want to hurt his enemies a lot or kill them. He was found by three members of the Order of Mata Nui, Helryx, a Toa of Water who is the leader and the first Toa, Krakua, the Toa of Sonics, and Brutaka, from 2006 and 2007. Helryx told Takanuva about the Toa Mata’s origins and to go find and warn the Toa Nuva that if they reawaken Mata Nui, Karda Nui would have magical storms called the Energy Storms that can destroy everything in the place. Brutaka used his Mask of Dimensional Gates to try to take him there, but the mask is damaged from the Pit Mutagen, so it took Takanuva to a pocket dimension before he end up in two other alternate dimensions before he can arrive to Karda Nui. During the journey, his magical staff got replaced by a magical lance that can use and increase his Light powers, and then he got a thing called a Virus that can make him fly for some time before it will wear off. He finally went to Karda Nui, and when he got there, the place grew him Hulk-sized, as it also grew the Av-Matoran in there bigger. During the Toa Nuva’s battle, Krika kidnaps Gali and told her to get out of Karda Nui before it is too late before Takanuva saves her from him. Takanuva reunites with the Toa Nuva and helps them fight the Makuta. He warns them about the Energy Storms. Meanwhile, Toa Ignika is guarding Icarax since Icarax was weakened by the devolving. However, Icarax tells Toa Ignika that the Mask of Life is doing a countdown that will destroy all life in the Matoran Universe, which is why the Mask is silver. This causes Toa Ignika to go to and warn the Toa Nuva about the countdown. Toa Ignika learned how to talk, so he is able. Plus, he tells them that he isn’t just wearing the Mask of Life and he is the Mask itself. The Toa go to a dome-like building in the Swamp called the Codrex, where they will reawaken Mata Nui, but they fight the Makuta who were guarding it first. The Toa use the Keystones to unlock the entrance of the Codrex to get inside, but Antroz follows them. The Toa Nuva start remembering the place from their past, bringing back their lost memories, and then they find three flying vehicles, the Rockoh T3, Jetrax T6, and the Axalara T9. Pohatu chooses to drive the Rockoh, Kopaka Jetrax, and Lewa Axalara, but Antroz stole the Jetrax, so Lewa and Pohatu use their vehicles to fight Antroz to get the Jetrax back. Takanuva wants to cure the Shadow Matoran and himself while fighting the Makuta. Meanwhile, Icarax makes an alliance with Krika to go rogue on the Brotherhood in order to ruin their leader’s plan by destroying the Codrex, so Icarax will become the new leader of the Brotherhood. However, Gorast and Vamprah stop Icarax by disrupting his teleporting power to turn him into atoms, killing him. Mutran makes a new Rahi called a Klakk, which can create sonic blasts to attack, but this creature escapes after that. It uses its powers to cure Vican back to being a Le-Matoran. Vican no longer serves the Makuta, so he decides to help the good guys by telling Takanuva about it. Takanuva uses the Klakk to cure all of the Shadow Matoran in Karda Nui back to being Av-Matoran and himself back to being the Toa of Light. He also warns them to leave Karda Nui because of the Energy Storms, and Krika becomes aware of this. Kopaka gets the Jetrax back because Antroz left it. Krika tries to warn his fellow Makuta about the Energy Storms, but Gorast doesn’t listen and kills him instead while going crazy. Meanwhile, after the Toa Mistika read the instructions in the Keystones, they plan to have Toa Ignika reawaken Mata Nui in the Codrex, but Toa Ignika refuses because it could mean sacrificing his body to do this. However, they convince him to do this for the good of the Matoran Universe, so Toa Ignika agrees, as he sacrifices his body to go back to being a mask and reawakens Mata Nui. The mask returns to gold, as the countdown is cancelled because the reawakening causes the Matoran Universe to be balanced again. This also causes the Energy Storms. The Toa use the vehicles to get out of Karda Nui. The remaining Makuta can’t get out of there, so they get killed over there, as they feel betrayed by their leader, who sent them there in the first place. The Toa returned to Metru Nui, and then they are honored by Metru Nui’s people for completing their mission finally. Meanwhile, it is revealed that the Matoran Universe is inside a 40-million-foot-tall robot, which is Mata Nui himself. He rises from the ocean where the ruined island of Mata Nui was before his face destroyed it. He is reawakened finally after 1,001 years of sleep caused by the Makuta of Metru Nui in the 2004 storyline, and the reawakening was the very goal that the Toa Nuva has been doing since the 2001 storyline, the very beginning of Bionicle 2001-2010. However, things are not looking good. The stars above Metru Nui form a constellation that shapes like the Mask of Shadows, as the Makuta of Metru Nui, whose real name is Makuta Teridax, takes over Mata Nui’s body and the Matoran Universe by getting Mata Nui’s spirit out of the body, and then Makuta put the spirit into the Mask of Life before he banishes both of them out of the Matoran Universe and into outer space. So, Teridax’s tyranny begins, as his plan to take over the Matoran Universe is completed. The good-hearted people in the Matoran Universe have to work together to rebel against Teridax. Meanwhile, the Mask of Life is in outer space while the people have Mata Nui’s words in their heads: “I will return.” The End of the 2008 storyline, and the 2009 storyline begins as Mata Nui ends up in a new planet. To celebrate, let me ask you this: What are your fond memories about the storyline and/or what do you like about it? For me, I like the canister sets. They look awesome! I like the Toa Nuva’s new looks and weapons, even though that their color schemes are sort of off. I get that the Phantoka Toa have a gray secondary color and the Mistika ones have a silver secondary color to show that their armor adapts to certain environment, but where’s their original secondary colors from 2001-2002? Doesn’t feel classic sort of. Also, why all of the Toa’s eye colors green? That doesn’t feel classic, either. I like the new mask shapes, but they don’t look classic either. Plus, Gali’s mask with the waffle eye looks a little weird, Kopaka’s eye scope is switched from right eye to left eye for some reason, and Pohatu’s mask looks like the Mask of Time. Plus, why the red axle pieces in the Mistika Toa’s masks? Is that necessary? However, I do like the visors and the red piece on Kopaka’s Mask. I love Kopaka’s wings and blade with the laser targeting piece, Lewa’s jets and sword, Pohatu’s propellor weapons, Tahu’s Rotating Blades, Gali’s targeting piece, Onua’s black piece with the laser targeting system and shield, and the Mistika Toa’s little rockets and weapons. Love the designs on them, too. It’s cool that you can use Pohatu’s propellers to snap like a crab and turn them like propellers. Pohatu’s arms are a bit weird because of how they are bent. Pohatu is orange in the storyline instead of brown. It’s weird that half of the Toa Nuva only use blasters as their primary weapons rather than secondary ones. The Midak Skyblasters are awesome because they are cannons that contain four Zamor Spheres. Now, the Makuta. They look awesome as well, and they look scary as they look evil. I like that the Phantoka Makuta look like bats while the Mistika ones look like swamp insects. I love the feature on the Phantoka Makuta where you push their rib cages to release the Tridax Pods to unleash the Shadow Leeches inside of them. I always love the wing pieces. Vamprah looks kind of weird because he is four-legged. I mean, he has no feet. I like that Chirox has double-jointed arms that fold and extend. I get that the Mistika Makuta wear masks that can be worn differently from the Phantoka ones’ because the Mistika Makuta are mutated, but they look a little weird. Plus, I see that Mistika Makuta has short non-bendable limbs, which is silly and weird. Krika has the same problem as Vamprah’s because of being four-legged. I like that Gorast has four arms, and I like Krika’s spikes and chest piece, Gorast’s claws and wings, and Bitil’s swords and wings. The Nynrah Ghost Blasters from the Mistika sets in general are alright, but they are hard to shoot. Now, for the small sets. They are the Phantoka Toa’s Av-Matoran partners, Solek, Tanma, and Photok, and the Phantoka Makuta’s partners, Radiak, Gavla, and Kirop. These guys have new pieces, which are the one-piece limbs, one-piece torsos, new transparent heads, new masks, Av-Matoran’s one-piece jet packs, Shadow Matoran’s one-piece pairs of bat-like wings, bat-like wings, and new clawed feet for Gavla and Kirop that look like the Piraka’s from 2006, but are two-toed. I like the use of the blades. I see that Radiak is four-legged, which is weird. I like the jet packs, wings, masks, and limbs the most. Plus, they can combine with their Phantoka counterparts by connecting their bodies to the Phantoka counterparts’ backs like a piggy back ride. Perfect for storage. Plus, you can combine the Matoran with the Mistika sets, but I would love that the Mistika sets have their own Matoran for matching colors. I mean, I would like to Tahu having a red Av-Matoran, Gali a blue one, Onua a black one, Krika a white Shadow Matoran, Gorast a green one, and Bitil a yellow one. Just to make things even with the Phantoka sets. Now for the large sets. They look awesome, too! The Toa Ignika set has the Mask of Life, which is by itself rather than being fused with Vezon’s head from 2006. It looks like itself the Ghost Animations videos in 2007, but silver rather than gold. I love Toa Ignika’s sword, spikes, and the Skyboard. He looks kind of like the Silver Surfer from Marvel. The Mutran and Vican set is neat because it contains a canister-set-sized Makuta and a Shadow Matoran, who you can combine. Mutran looks cool, and I love his claws and weapons. I like Vican’s claws, too. The Makuta Icarax set looks awesome, and I love that he has the Mask of Shadows. I also love his claws, sword, shield, and wings, though I find his right arm weird. That Hulk-sized dude looks like that can take on two Toa. Takanuva is a very tall dude! I love his new lance and version of the Mask of Light, and I like the light and dark contrast on him. He looks a little scary with the version of the mask, but alright. He looks like that he can take on two Makuta. I love that each Toa has a certain Makuta to fight against because they have similarities. Tahu vs. either Krika or Antroz because Krika is the leader of the Mistika Makuta while Antroz is the red leader of both thr Phantoka and Mistika Makuta, Gali vs. either Gorast or Vamprah, Onua vs. either Bitil or Chirox, Kopaka and Solek vs. either Antroz and Radiak or Krika, Lewa and Tanma vs. either Vamprah and Gavla or Gorast, Pohatu and Photok vs. either Chirox and Kirop or Bitil, Toa Ignika vs. Mutran and Vican, and Takanuva vs. Makuta Icarax. Anyway, we have the vehicle sets for the first time, and they include canister-sized figures and Matoran to drive them. They replaced the playsets in 2005-2007. The Rockoh T3 looks neat, as I like the folding-down feature in the front wings, other wings and that Zamor Launcher, even though it is a version of the Midak Skyblaster in the story. The Jetrax looks cool, as I also love the folding-wing function, blades and the fact that it has three Midak Skyblasters. The pilot version of Antroz in there looks pretty neat. There is a special edition version of the Jetrax that represents the vehicle being supercharged and where its Mistika shield pieces and blue pieces are replaced with yellow ones. That’s very neat. The Axalara T9 looks awesome, as I love the function where you reveal the Midak Skyblasters from the front and the arms that fold up. That thing is massive! I love the new visors with wings on Pohatu and Lewa, and it’s neat to see Pohatu’s arms with hands when he isn’t holding his propellers. We have two vehicle sets that are based on characters that aren’t too involved with the story, and they are Vultraz and Mazeka. Each of the pilots are Matoran. Vultraz is a Shadow Matoran who was once a Ta-Matoran and uses a winged vehicle with a Midak Skyblaster the fire Shadow bolts. Mazeka is a Ko-Matoran who uses a walking turret that has a Zamor Launcher. Vultraz looks menacing, and I like his vehicle. Mazeka’s vehicle is awesome, and I like the gun part and the legs. I wish those Matoran come with weapons, though. Finally, we have the Klakk. It looks adorable! I like its claws and wings, and those rocket things on its head to represent its power to create sonic blasts. The Phantoka Makuta’s, Mutran’s and Icarax’s torso pieces look neat, but they make their heads wobbly. I love the blended masks on the Makuta and the Shadow Matoran. They’re neat. Next, the combo models. Spiriah is a mix of Lewa, Phantoka Antroz, Tanma, and Radiak. He looks cool. He looks like Antroz with Lewa’s legs. I like his tail, Midak Skyblaster, and claws. That little Matoran-like guy on his back looks weird (that’s not canon), and Spiriah’s hands look a little weird. The Niazesk is a mix of Pohatu, Vamprah, and Toa Ignika. They look very cool. I like how they look like insects. Love the four arms and the stinger. Funny that its wings look like a jet’s wings, but alright. Its feet look kind of weird, though. Each of the Mistika groups have a combiner of the whole group. The Mistika Toa’s combiner is Trinuma (Tahu+Gali+Onua). He looks like a Toa, but with horns and is a little taller. He looks cool. The Mistika Makuta’s combined is the Swamp Stalker (Krika+Gorast+Bitil). It looks like a crocodile or an alligator. It looks very cool, and I like the spikes. There is an alternate model for the Jetrax, and that is the Destral Cycle, which looks like a motorcycle. That looks very cool, and I like that it has three wheels. I wish there are more combiners, and ones for other small and canister sets, Mutran and Vican, Makuta Icarax, and Takanuva. Plus, I wish the Rockoh and Axalara could have their own alternative models. For the sets overall, well, I think the lime green is used a lot. There are much more Midak Skyblasters than Nynrah Ghost Blasters. Mazeka looks too much like a big Av-Matoran. I wish Teridax could have his own 2008 set. Plus, I wish there are set packs where there are extra pieces that make Mistika versions of Kopaka, Lewa, and Pohatu, Phantoka versions of Tahu, Gali, and Onua, packs with pilot versions of Tahu, Gali, Onua, and Kopaka, so they can ride the Codrex vehicles, and a pack with gold pieces that can replace Takanuva’s dark gray pieces. As for the story and media, I think it was very great. It was told through three Bionicle Legends chapter books, a young reader’s book called Takanuva’s Journey, four comic books, a Phantoka video, a Mistika one, which is segmented, six online serials, an online story called The Kingdom that you had to unlock with a code, and a blog called Takanuva’s in the Bionicle website. I love the Makuta because they are awesome villains who good character development. It’s reasonable for the Toa to fight these guys because they are weaker than Teridax. Antroz is a clever guy. Mutran is a smart fellow, though he could do more fighting. I feel for Vican for working with Mutran when Mutran is crazy because Mutran usually threatens him. Good thing that Vican got cured back into a Le-Matoran, even though that I feel bad that he feels bad about his bad actions. Funny that Mutran unintentionally cured the Shadow Matoran by creating the Klakk. Lol. The irony. Icarax is awesome, as he is a tough fighter who wants to cause destruction. It’s interesting that we get to see the Av-Matoran, the Matoran of Light, and the Shadow Matoran, the Matoran of Shadow, as well as a Toa of Shadow sort of. I love that the Toa Nuva and Takanuva are back because we haven’t seen them for five years, and they are the first main protagonists of Bionicle 2001-2010. It’s cool that the Toa got the Adaptive Armor (well, they didn’t turn into stronger forms this time, but alright. At least, the Toa Nuva have bendable limbs in their sets). It’s interesting that Takanuva became a Toa of Light and Shadow, and he had anger issues from his Shadow side. Plus, he felt bad that he witness some of his Light kind being corrupted into Shadow Matoran. Poor guy, and it’s sad to see the Matoran turning evil, and the remain Av-Matoran losing their friends because of this. But, the Shadow Matoran got cured. That’s good. Takanuva did learn about where he truly belonged to before he ended up in Metru Nui for the first time as Takua. It’s like Superman from DC Comics discovering his heritage from Krypton when he became a man. It’s cool that the Av-Matoran and Shadow Matoran can blast elemental powers, even through their weapons. I feel bad for Gavla for not having friends. Why not make friends with her fellow Av-Matoran and Matoran in Metru Nui (that’s where Karda Nui’s Av-Matoran are)? I mean, there are a lot of good people who would welcome her. It’s scary that after the Toa have accomplished their mission, the Energy Storms happened. I feel bad for the beings who were in Karda Nui and got killed by the Storms. Plus, Teridax won by taking over the Matoran Universe when the Toa saved the day. That’s harsh, unfair, and very sad. It’s interesting that the Swamp has the Pit Mutagen. It’s awesome that the Mask of Life gave itself a body, but it’s too bad that it had to give it up, but it’s for the greater good, like how Matoro sacrificed his life to revive Mata Nui. The Makuta are like the Piraka and Barraki by being mean independent-minded villains with unique personalities, and how Icarax and Krika went against their brethren is like that, too. Krika isn’t completely a bad guy, as he is a soft guy who wants to make sure everything doesn’t go bad, even if it means going against Teridax’s immoral orders. I mean, he’s trying to help a little, but Gorast killed him. Poor guy. He’s not as bad as the other Makuta. I find the Makuta’s death by the Energy Storms a weird way to end the Final Battle. I like the Toa Nuva because they are awesome, Tahu got matured in the storyline, and the Toa talking about some things here and there. It’s very cool that we got to learn about their forgotten origins. I also love Takanuva and Toa Ignika because they are awesome and have very good character development. It’s awesome the Toa and Makuta can combine with the Av-Matoran and Shadow Matoran and use the Codrex’s vehicles (well, the Jetrax needs more information about itself, though, like does it has a T6 engine?). The Jetrax being supercharged by the magic Crystal is amazing. Plus, I love that Takanuva became Hulk-sized and got some new weapons. It’s too bad that the Toa Nuva didn’t combine into their Toa Kaita this time (I know that the Makuta can dissolve the fusions, though, but it would have been awesome to see the Kaita again.). I also wish there are instructions on how to make them as set combiners. I’m happy that the Toa finally reawakened Mata Nui, but it’s sad that Teridax won and exiled Mata Nui and the Mask of Life to outer space. Poor Mata Nui. This is one of the saddest and darkest moments in Bionicle history (crying in tears of sadness). I mean, the Toa worked so hard to help Mata Nui and their people, but Teridax ruined everything. Plus, Teridax is so mean to his kind by killing them. What a conniving and selfish jerk. It’s quite unbelievably amazing that Mata Nui is actually a 40-million-foot-tall god-like robot who contained the Matoran Universe. Can you believe that?! He’s the size of a planet! This is like one of the most epic moments in the history of Bionicle. It’s sad to see the island of Mata Nui getting destroyed in order for the Great Spirit Mata Nui to rise again. I miss it. Anyway, Teridax taking over Mata Nui’s body is phenomenally crazy and bad, and that’s one of the worst and craziest things that Teridax has done. Now the people in the Matoran Universe are in great trouble. Uh oh! The online serials are good. They are: 1. The Mutran Chronicles - Mutran talking about the history of the Brotherhood of Makuta. 2. The Federation of Fear, where Brutaka starts working for the Order of Mata Nui again and works with six bad guys, Vezon, Takadox, Carapar, Roodaka, Spiriah, and later on Lariska to go find the Brotherhood’s former leader named Makuta Miserix. 3. Dark Mirror - a podcast. Takanuva ending up in an alternate dimension where there is an empire of evil Toa led by Toa Tuyet. 4. Destiny War - the Order of Mata Nui having a War with the Brotherhood of Makuta. 5. Dwellers in Darkness - the Toa Hagah go to find Makuta Teridax. Meanwhile, the Toa Mahri are getting involved with the war. 6. Brothers in Arms - Mazeka’s adventures to go find and fight against Vultraz to stop him from doing evil things and do justice on him. Mazeka and Vultraz are like Batman and Joker from DC Comics in terms of being archenemies, and Vultraz is like Carnage from Marvel for how crazy and murderous he is as much as the Joker. I like the character development on the main characters, as we get to learn more about them, both characters from past storylines and this one. These include the Brotherhood, the Order, the Dark Hunters, Voporak, Tren Krom, the Toa Hagah, Krakua, Mazeka, and Vultraz. We encountered some weird moments here and there, like Vezon being fused with a mask called the Kanohi Olmak, Takanuva travelling hopping from one alternate dimension to another, and Vultraz being trapped in an alternate dimension and Mazeka coming with an alternate version of Teridax back to his dimension. We witnessed a lot of deaths, such as Carapar, Spiriah, Makuta Tridax, the very guy who created the Tridax Pods with Mutran, Botar, and Ancient. I wish that Mazeka and Vultraz could’ve gotten more involved with the Toa Nuva’s adventures in Karda Nui. Mazeka would have helped the Toa Nuva and their allies while Mazeka with the Makuta and their allies in Karda Nui. I mean, they are sets, so why not do that? The book, Takanuva’s Journey is good. It’s about Takanuva helping out a big creature in an alternative dimension. The online story, The Kingdom, is very good. It is about Takanuva helping out Matoro in an alternate dimension where Matoro failed to save the Matoran Universe. The blog, Takanuva’s blog, is good, too. It’s about Takanuva’s first-person perspective after he arrived in Karda Nui to help the Toa Nuva and until the 2008 storyline ended. It’s neat to hear from Takanuva’s thoughts. The Phantoka and Mistika videos are neat. Love the graphics by Ghost Animations, who made much more in the past, including the Barraki and Toa Mahri ones in 2007. The Mistika one is a fun one because it is segmented in the Bionicle website, where you wait for one of its segmented chronologically every three to four weeks, with those countdowns. Then, there is this picture of a desert, and after the countdown to that ended, it is revealed to be a teaser for the 2009 storyline (Bara Magna). There are a video that summarizes Bionicle’s 2001-2007 storylines. Very cool and nostalgic. There are two music videos. One for the Phantoka sets called “Gravity Hurts” by Cryoshell, the very band who made a couple of songs for the 2007 storyline. The other music video for the Mistika sets is called “Closer to the Truth” by Cryoshell. These are awesome! There are two primary online games to promote the storyline, and they are Phantoka one where you have to wait for mini-games every month and the Mistika one where you can make your own levels. They are fun, though they could do more stuff, like adding Mutran, Vican, Icarax, and make some of the characters playable in more parts. Each of the game has this competing thing where which side, the Toa (blue) or the Makuta (red), is winning. It was quite endless. Plus, the Phantoka game gives you codes that give you more power and pictures of concept art for the Phantoka sets. There are other smaller online games, but these don’t do much here and there. Weird things. I once made an instruction booklet on how to play the Phantoka game in summer 2008 and had my summer camp class read it because I love the game. There is a website where you can make videos based on Bionicle 2001-2008 and then send them to your friends. That’s very cool. I did that for my friends, and they loved it. I like the light-vs.-dark theme, war theme, and flying theme of the storyline. They are extremely cool. It’s like the Mask of Light storyline in late 2003 all over again is some ways. I think of it as a great way to celebrate the late 2003 storyline’s 5th anniversary. The year 2008 is also the year when the graphic novels are created and had been running until 2010. The Midak Skyblasters and the Mistika shields are used in Bionicle 2009 and Hero Factory 2010-2011. Lots of stuff in the 2008 storyline, I tell you. Lots of stuff. I’m sorry that I said a lot, but I am celebrating the 2008 storyline’s 10th anniversary that way. Anyway, the 2008 storyline is one of my favorite storylines. So, guys, what are your fond memories of the storyline, what do you like about it, what’s your favorite 2008 set, favorite character(s) in 2008, favorite moment in the storyline, what things remind you of the 2008 storyline, and/or how would you celebrate it? For me, well, my favorite sets are Tahu, Lewa, Kopaka, Pohatu, Antroz, Chirox, Gorast, Bitil, Mutran and Vican, Takanuva, Toa Ignika, Icarax, and the Axalara T9, and my favorite characters are Tahu, Onua, Kopaka, Lewa (always a funny guy), Pohatu, Antroz, Mutran, Icarax, Toa Ignika, and Takanuva. The things that remind me are: 1. Avengers: Infinity War in this year - Thanos and the Black Order kind of remind me of Teridax and the Brotherhood of Makuta. Plus, there is a big war between the good organization and the evil organization. Also, how Thanos won is kind of like how Teridax won. 2. The Brotherhood of Evil from DC Comics - the Brotherhood of Makuta remind me of the Brotherhood of Evil. 3. The Dark Knight in 2008 - when I think of Batman fighting the bad guys, I think of the Phantoka Makuta 4. Ninjago in 2018 - how Lord Garmadon won while he made good guys disappear to another world reminds me of how Teridax won and banished Mata Nui and the Mask of Life to outer space. Plus, both of the storylines involve good-hearted people forming rebellions against the tyrants alone for now. Plus, the Oni are like the Makuta. 5. Nexo Knights in 2017 - how the Stone Colossus of Ultimate Destruction Rios’s from a mountain is like how the Great Spirit Mata Nui rose from the island of Mata Nui. 6. Iron Man from Marvel - the Toa Nuva’s new armor is sort of like Iron Man’s for how they can adapt to situations. 7. Superman from DC Comics - how Takanuva and the Toa Nuva are learning about their origins reminds me of Superman for how he learned that he was from Krypton when he became a man. 8. Doctor Octopus from Ultimate Spider-Man TV show in 2012 - how Doctor Octopus like to mutate beings to do his evil purposes is like Mutran. 9. Suicide Squad in 2016 - that team bad guys remind me of Federation of Fear. 10. Batman and the Joker from DC Comics - how Mazeka and Vultraz are archenemies remind me of Batman and the Joker because Mazeka wants to do justice on Vultraz, who is insane and murderous. 11. Carnage from Marvel - Vultraz reminds me of Carnage because he is a red villain who has a weird condition and wants to kill people. 12. Bionicle 2016 - the Toa Uniters combining with the Elemental Creatures is like how the Toa Nuva and Makuta combine with their Matoran partners. 13. Hero Factory - the Heroes always wear armor that adapt to certain situations, the Legion of Darkness is sort of like the Brotherhood of Makuta, Jetbug is like Bitil, Waspix and Thornraxx are like Gorast, and Splitter Beast does this small-guy-combining-with-big-guy thing. 14. The Incredible Hulk in 2008 - Takanuva was sort of like the Hulk whenever he gets angry. Abomination is sort of like Gorast because he is kind of green and has double-jointed legs. 15. Star Wars - the Pod Racing vehicles in Episode 1, the X-Wings, and that little red vehicle in Episode 7 are like the Codrex vehicles. Plus, there are huge wars between the good organizations and bad organizations for how they have adventures. Also, General Grevious is like Gorast because he has four arms and double-jointed legs. 16. Guardians of the Galaxy in 2014 - Knowhere looking like a giant head that belonged to a dead Celestial reminds me of the Great Spirit Mata Nui. In fact, the Celestials are like Mata Nui because they are giant god-like robot-like beings. 17. S.H.I.E.L.D. from Marvel - the Order of Mata Nui is like that. 18. Hydra from Marvel - the Brotherhood of Makuta is like that. 19. Super Sonic and Sonic the Werehog from Sonic the Hedgehog - how the Jetrax gets supercharged with a crystal reminds me of Sonic the Hedgehog when he uses the Chaos Emeralds to become an enhanced version of himself called Super Sonic. Takanuva is like Sonic the Werehog because he may look scary and has dark powers, but he is a good guy at heart and goes to help people before he gets cured of his condition. 20. Galactus from Marvel - Mata Nui is like him because he’s a very big and mighty guy. 21. Unicron and Primus from Transformers - Mata Nui is like them because he is a planet-sized robot. 22. Kung Fu Panda 2 in 2011 and 3 in 2016 - how Po learns about his origins is like how the Toa Nuva and Takanuva learn about theirs. 23. Kingdom Hearts - the Organization XIII reminds me of the Brotherhood of Makuta in many ways. 24. Darkseid and his Elite from DC Comics - the Brotherhood of Makuta remind me of the Brotherhood of Makuta. 25. Black Panther in 2018 - how Eric Killmonger took over the kingdom by removing T’Challa reminds me of Teridax overthrowing Mata Nui. 26. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles - in Turtles Forever and the 2012 TV show, the Shredder and other bad guys use Mutagen to create mutants to have them as their evil servants. 27. Regular Show - how Rigby get angry and attacks people while having a bad and abnormal condition before he gets cured reminds me of Takanuva. 28. Starscream from Transformers - Icarax reminds me of Starscream because they both like to betray their leaders and steal their places as leaders. 29. The Lion King in 1994 - how Scar overthrew Mufasa and took over the kingdom is kind of like how Teridax overthrew Mata Nui, but Teridax never killed Mata Nui. They are just called “brothers”. 30. That girl from Transformers: Bumblebee in 2018 - the movie didn’t came out yet, but that girl reminds me of the lead singer in the “Closer to the Truth” music video.

Hi, guys! Do you know what’s special about today. Well, I’ll tell you: It’s the 15th anniversary of a Bionicle direct-to-video movie called Bionicle: Mask of Light? It came out on September 16, 2003. I know that I have this topic: http://www.bzpower.com/board/topic/26629-happy-15th-anniversary-mask-of-light-storyline-late-2003/?do=findComment&comment=1156304 , But that topic is about the summer 2003 set wave in general. This topic is about the movie itself only. To celebrate, let me tell you the plot in the movie. It is about two short bio-mechanical guys called Matoran, Takua and Jaller, being sent on a quest to find a heroic warrior called a Toa of Light that can save their home island from a dark and evil being called the Makuta. Takua and Jaller must survive dangerous threats, like Makuta's snake-like sons, the Rahkshi. Things get easier when there are other six heroes called the Toa Nuva to help Takua and Jaller on their journey. Anyway, the movie is based on the summer 2003 set wave (well, most of it because there are also the comics). There is a novel based on the movie. There is also a video game called Bionicle: The Game sort of based on the movie. I watched and liked the movie. It was epic, and I love the fight scenes the most! I also love the scene with Takutanuva. I love the soundtrack as well. My favorite characters in the movies are Tahu, Onua, Takanuva, and Makuta. The movie won a few awards. Plus, the movie got two prequels in 2004 and 2005 and a sequel in 2009. The movie is also the first Lego direct-to-video movie and the first real Lego medium in general. It is 3-D animated, and the characters in there look realistic to look like cyborgs that they are while still looking like their sets. There are a few inaccuracies, though, like the eye colors, and it’s weird some of the common masks in the story are common (ex: the Mask of Mind Control) while the others are exclusive to one person (ex: the Mask of Strength) and some of those are not seen at all (ex: the Mask of X-Ray Vision). However, I like the graphics in there, anyway. Man, the Rahkshi and Makuta are scary and menacing. The movie, along with the prequels, is made by Miramax while the sequel is made by Tinseltown Toons and Universal for some reason. I remember buying the DVD and watching the movie on the day the movie was released. Anyway, what are your favorite parts of the movie, and how would you celebrate the movie’s anniversary? For me, well, I would rewatch the movie to celebrate. Also anyway, happy 15th anniversary, movie! Man, it was so long ago!

Hi, guys! Are any of you aware of or do any of you remember a playset Lego theme called Legends of Chima in 2013-2015? Well, if you do and like it, then let’s celebrate its 5th anniversary this year. I like the theme. It was pretty cool. Legends of Chima was originally going to replace Ninjago when Ninjago was going to end in 2013. However, Ninjago was so successful that it was able to continue to 2014. Also however, Legends of Chima and Ninjago were running together from 2013 until 2015 when Legends of Chima ended and it had more sets in 2013 than Ninjago (6 Ninjago sets). Legends of Chima has a story and a TV show, like Ninjago. The theme is about humanoid animals fighting each other after magical energy called Chi. The theme is the first original Lego theme to have constraction sets (there are 13 in total), and it took over the trading card business. Plus, it is one of the first themes to have ball-and-joint building system in the Lego System brick figures (rather than Mixels), and that began in 2014. The TV show is made by the same people who made Ninjago’s TV show. This show has voice actors that we don’t know, not like ones in the Bionicle movies, Hero Factory’s TV show, Lego Atlantis special, Clutch Powers, or Ninjago, who we know and are well known. The 3-D animation in there is slightly different from Ninjago’s. The voice actor thing and animation thing is a bit weird. Plus, it’s weird that the show ended in 2014 before the theme ended in 2015. The show has some shorts that tell untold stuff, which are funny, though. In my opinion about the theme, well, as I said before, it was pretty great and cool, but it is a little weird. I give it mixed-to-positive feelings about it, including the show. However, I do like the character development and the humor. I feel pretty sad about the theme ending. However, it did have a little bit of legacy. Legends of Chima was features in the season finale of Ninjago’s TV Season 5 as one of the 17 Realms in the Ninjago story. Plus, there are three LoC Fun Packs from a toys-come-to-life video game called Lego Dimensions in 2015. LoC has never been heard of ever since. However, after the theme ended, another theme with the TV show with the same animation, Nexo Knights in 2016-2018, took its place, even though when that theme in 2018 ended, there was no replacement after it. Well, it’s best not to make another theme with a TV show between Ninjago’s TV show is dominating and is more successful. Anyway, what’s your favorite moment with LoC? For me, well, I like the parts where Laval fights Cragger, Plovar taking care of Cragger’s teeth at wrong times, the Speedor races, the heroes saving the Crocs from the Wolves, the Legend Beasts fighting the Dark Tribes, Plovar angering the Spiders by calling them uglies, the Heroes fighting the Dark Tribes in a cave where the Lion Legend Beast was, the good tribes having hard time fighting the Hunter Tribes when everything is frozen, the Bears being awake and fighting the Ice Bears, and the Heroes with the Fire Wings and Flinx defeating the Hunter Tribes. I am planning to do a marathon on the TV series someday.

Hi, guys! I know that Bionicle had ended two years ago sadly, but let’s be happy about Bionicle for something else. You see, this year, 2018, is the 15th anniversary of Bionicle’s late 2003 storyline, which involved thr Mask of Light. I know that this year doesn't have anything Bionicle-related (well, there is this set piece that has the picture of the island of Mata Nui with its name in Matoran, and the piece is in that new The Lego Ninjago Movie set with the docks in this year), but let’s celebrate the 15th anniversary of the 2003 storyline. That would enlighten you more. Let me tell you the late 2003 storyline: The storyline starts with two Ta-Matoran, Takua and Jaller, preparing for a Kohlii tournament, but Takua was sightseeing and Jaller had to go after him. When Takua was exploring a cavern under their home village called Ta-Koro, he found a certain rock with carvings, and when he accidentally threw it in the lava, the rock broke and a new Great Kanohi mask came out of the the rock. When the Matoran went to their tournament and then sadly lost to a team of Ga-Matoran, Hahli and Macku, Takua accidentally showed the mask to the crowd in the tournament, including the Ta-Matoran, Ga-Matoran, Po-Matoran, three Turaga named Vakama, Nokama, and Onewa, and three Toa names Tahu, Gali, and Pohatu. Vakama and Nokama revealed that this new mask is the legendary Mask of Light, and it would lead the one Matoran who found it to the legendary seventh Toa on the island (there are six Toa, who are Tahu, Gali, Lewa, Kopaka, Pohatu, and Onua, and they formed a team called the Toa Nuva). This Toa is said to be the Toa of Light who could defeat their villainous archenemy called the Makuta. Tahu thought that Jaller found the mask and Takua was too nervous to tell the truth, so everybody thought that Jaller is the herald for the mask. When Jaller began his journey to go find the 7th Toa by using the mask to guide him, Takua wanted to be with him to help him out along the way, and he had a put Ussal crab named Pewku to come with them. Hahli remained in Ta-Koro. Meanwhile, the Makuta, having regained his strength after the Toa Nuva, who were normal versions of themselves called the Toa Mata during the time, defeated him in the 2001 storyline, sensed that Jaller and Takua are doing their journey, so he created and unleashed three of his six new powerful and monstrous minions with magical powers called the Rahkshi, which are suits of armor piloted by magical slug-like creatures called the Kraata, which Makuta also created, to go stop them. The Rahkshi have snake-like heads, are armed with magical double-sided staffs that use their powers, and can fly. Each one of the Rahkshi has its own colors and power. The Rahkshi are also called the sons of Makuta. The first ones that Makuta unleashed are a Levahk, the green Rahkshi that has Poison powers, a Panrahk brown and Fragmentation, and a Guurahk blue and Disintegration. The Rahkshi went to Ta-Koro to attack it. Tahu and Gali tried to stop them, but they are too much to handle, so they and their people who were in Ta-Koro got out of there while the Rahkshi destroyed the village. The Levahk scratched Tahu on the face along the way, and Tahu’s secondary Kanohi Nuva masks got destroyed when the village was sinking into the lava. Tahu was upset about all of this. Gali suggested regroup all six Toa Nuva to stop the Rahkshi from finding Jaller and Takua. During Jaller and Takua’s journey, they met Lewa, who learned about the destruction of Ta-Koro. Jaller was upset about it, but the Matoran continued their journey. When they met Kopaka, Kopaka’s village called Ko-Koro got attacked by the three Rahkshi who found the Matoran and then attacked the three. However, Kopaka defeated the Rahkshi by freezing them into statues. Makuta unleashed three more Rahkshi, which are a red one called a Turahk, which has Fear powers, a Kurahk white and Anger, and a Vorahk with Hunger powers. Makuta also scared Takua so much that Takua decided to quit following Jaller, separating them. When Takua arrived to another village called Onu-Koro, where he met Pohatu and Onua, the village was attacked by the second three Rahkshi. While the Toa Nuva are battling those Rahkshi, The Kurahk magically cursed Tahu into attacking Gali angrily, but Kopaka stopped him by freezing him. The battle caused a whole cave that was above the village to be destroyed along with Onu-Koro. After Lewa warn Takua warn Jaller about the Rahkshi, Takua found Jaller and warned him that the Rahkshi are looking for the herald rather than the Mask. The Toa Nuva had to cure Tahu from the Kurahk’s curse and Levahk’s deadly poison to save Tahu from them. The scratch is gone when it happened as well. The Toa Nuva later on battled the Rahkshi again many times. First fighting the Rahkshi individually and then the Rahkshi’s fusions called the Rahkshi Kaita, where each three of the Rahkshi combined into a more powerful creature that can use their powers and have new ones. Along the way, they learned about the Kraata, including the fact that they are the ones that created the Infected Kanohi in the 2001 storyline. Plus, they encountered special Kraata called Shadow Kraata, which are purple and the seventh and most powerful stage of Kraata. The Toa got rid of one that created new Infected masks that mind-controlled some Matoran. The Matoran are saved after that Kraata was taken care of. When Takua and Jaller arrived to their destination, where was a temple called Kini-Nui, the Mask of Light’s power was carving something on the temple, but all six of the Rahkshi came back and started attacking the Matoran. Takua then told Jaller that he is the true herald before they got trapped by the Rahkshi. However, the Toa came to their rescue and fought and defeated the Rahkshi. The Turahk was still not defeated, though, as it tried to use its Fear powers to kill Takua, but Jaller got in the way and got killed by it instead. Takua was sad to see that, and then he put on the Mask to turn into the 7th Toa, and Takua changed his name to Takanuva. He defeated the Turahk and finishing the carving, which was Takua’s mask to show that Takua was the true herald the whole time. Takanuva was still sad about Jaller’s death, but he had to do what has to be done, which is to defeat Makuta to make him pay for what he had done. The Toa Nuva made Takanuva a flying vehicle called the Ussalnui, which Takanuva used to go to Makuta’s lair, which Makuta was. When Takanuva arrived to the lair, he had Hahli, who snuck in the vehicle, to gather the everyone on the island in the lair. When Takanuva found Makuta, Makuta challenged him to a Kohlii match to do a battle with him. During the battle, Hahli brought the people to the lair. Takanuva weakened Makuta, but Makuta was still standing. However, Takanuva jumped onto Makuta’s face and started removing Makuta’s mask, which Makuta didn’t like. Both accidentally fell into Makuta’s pool that has a magical substance called Energized Protodermis, the very thing that turned the Toa Mata into the Toa Nuva, and then when they came out of the substance, it combined the two into a new and powerful being called Takutanuva, with Takanuva’s mind dominating it. Takutanuva went to lift a large gate with his super-strength to open it, allowing the people to get pass it. Along the way, he revived Jaller, but he sacrificed some of his life force to do so, so he got weaker and couldn’t keep lifting the gate any longer, so it crushed him. When the people found the Mask of Light, they used it to revive Takanuva. The people then found a mysterious new island with a city on it (which we know that it was Metru Nui). While the people are moving in, the Turaga revealed that the Toa Nuva and Takanuva, who became their honorary member, that they weren’t the first Toa on the island. This led to the Turaga talking about the events of the 2004 storyline. To celebrate, let me ask you this: What are your fond memories of the storyline and/or what do you like about it? Let me say my answer. I think this is very great. The Rahkshi sets are very cool because of their gear function with twisting their upper torsos to make them swing their staffs. I like the spikes, staff pieces, bendable legs, upper torso design that looks like a snake’s upper body, and the opening function on it where you put a Kraata in there. Speaking of Kraata, they look cool, I must say. I like the blending of the colors and the various shapes of their heads. They are collectibles, as there are 36 kinds of them, and they can be found randomly in the Rahkshi and Kraata packs, similar to the Kanohi and Krana packs. Plus, later on, there are six types of Shadow Kraata in the sets, which was interesting as well. These are fun to collect as well. Anyway, man, the Rahkshi are quite fierce and dangerous because of their powers. They’re awesome. For the small sets, which are six Matoran, Hewkii, Taipu, Matoro, Kopeke, Hahli, and Macku, well, I guess they are alright. Their gear function is the same as the Rahkshi’s, but they were holding Kohlii sticks and Kohlii balls, so you can have the Matoran play Kohlii. That’s fun, and I like that they have bendable wrists, shoulders, and legs. Love the evolution from the 2001 Matoran sets. Those two large sets, which are the Takua and Pewku one and the Jaller and Gukko one, are quite good. You have more Matoran to play Kohlii with. I like Pewku’s moving function with the wheels and Gukko’s flapping wing function. They’re neat, and those Rahi are cute. I love that the Gukko have four wings. Sweet. You would see that combo models from 2001 are turned into these packaged sets as well. Neat. The set with Takanuva and the Ussalnui is quite amazing in some ways. Good thing that we got a new Toa with a new Elemental Power. I love the gold Nuva pieces, white, and the new blade on his staff. It’s interesting that you can position his head to let him driving the vehicle in a non-weirding way because his neck is stiff. The vehicle’s functions with the blades for the landing gear is quite cool, and I can say the same to the fact that you can have the vehicle contain many Kraata because it have the same Rahkshi back designs. I love the use of silver and Bohrok-Kal pieces, and I could say that Jaller’s gray mask is a nice feature on the vehicle, even if that it is a sad thing to look at it due to Jaller’s death. It’s weird that Takanuva looks like a Toa Nuva, even though that he’s not, though. As for the Makuta set, that is very impressive. He’s a big dude, and I love the bulk on his body and armor. He reminds me of the Exo-Toa in 2002 sort of. Like the Rahkshi, you can swing Makuta’s upper body to have him swing his big staff. I like the you can twist his masked head to show two faces on Makuta’s mask called the Mask of Shadows, though the pointed face is weird. Plus, I like his bendable arms, though it’s weird that he has silver versions of the Mask of Light as his hands. Man, does he look intimidating. I don’t like his legs, though, because they are kind of stiff. Now, as for a mighty combo large set, which is Takutanuva, a combo model made of the Takanuva and Makuta sets, I must say, he looks mighty impressive. Even though that he looks like a silver version of Makuta, I love his polearm-like weapon, spikes, and the fact that he uses Takanuva’s torso for his own torso to show that he is the fusion of the two guys. It’s quite interesting that he uses the Ussalnui’s pieces as well, as you can see some pieces, and I love the use of black, white, and silver on this guy. Quite artsy with this stuff. Plus, I like that he includes the movie version of Makuta’s mask piece. But, why not the Mask of Light and Shadows? I mean, it’s the guy’s mask, you know. There’s also Tahu’s poisoned mask piece, which are rare, but neat. Next, the combo models. Most of them look weird. There are those Matoran Kaita models, but they look very strange because of their limbs. The Rahkshi Kaita models are quite neat, but both look weird. I mean, the one made of Turahk, Levahk, and Kurahk looks mixed up, but I like that it has the three Rahkshi’s heads. The one made of Panrahk, Vorahk, and Guurahk is very strange because it looks like a Vorahk with Rahkshi arms for legs riding a Rahkshi-like steed with his butt glued to the steed’s back. However, I do like that each half of the steed’s body has its own unique color. The model with Makuta, T&P, and J&G, called Makuta Nui, looks quite amazing and menacing. I like the claws and teeth. Plus, it’s big. However, it looks a little weird, and I wish that Makuta could’ve used this form of his against Takanuva, like how Maleficent from Disney’s Sleeping Beauty turned into a dragon to fight Prince Philip and Jafar from Disney’s Aladdin into a giant cobra to fight Aladdin. For the Takutanuva model, well, same as I said above. As for the story and media, well, the story is very great, I must say. I love the epic fights, even if the Toa Nuva sets were released in 2002, and I love the light-vs.-darkness theme in the storyline. It is told though Bionicle’s first direct-to-video movie called Bionicle: Mask of Light in September 2003 (near my birthday), three comic book issues, a chapter book based on the movie, and a guidebook. The movie is like Lego’s first real medium in general. I remembered buying the movie on its release day. I watched and liked the movie. It is very great because it has some neat fight scenes and character development. I love the dramatic music in there as well. The animation designs in the characters are phenomenal (though it’s weird about the eye colors being mostly red and Pohatu and Onua looking different from their sets because of their torsos at least for some reason), as we can see some realistic stuff that makes they look like cyborgs rather than toys. I wish there are all 12 common Kanohi being shown in the movie rather being limited and rare in some ways. Plus, I wished that the the Le-Koro, Onu-Koro, and Ko-Koro Kohlii teams would have participated the tournament and have at least the Ko-Koro team appear in the movie because of their sets. The Toa are very cool as always. I cried about Jaller and Takanuva getting killed. But, good thing that they are revived. Plus, Pewku and Gukko are cute in the movie. To be honest, I thought that the 7th Toa would have been a different guy, but it was surprising that Takua could turn into him. I felt bad that Takua wasn’t confident and was shy in some things before he became Takanuva. Plus, I feel bad for people who lost their homes because of the Rahkshi, and for Tahu because he lost his Nuva masks and having been poisoned and cursed. I love how Makuta did in the movie. He was quite impressive and looks more menacing than his set. It’s weird that the movie version of his mask looks different from his set’s mask, though, but it looks good as I would say. Plus, it’s weird that Takutanuva’s movie and set looks are different for some reason, but he looks impressive either way. Man, the Rahkshi in the movie look quite scary, and they are scarier in the movie than their set forms. They look cool. I wish that movie would have the Rahkshi use their Kaita forms to make things more epic, though. I also wish that the comics could’ve talked about the movie. The movie got an award and a series of four direct-to-video movies in 2003-2009. Impressive. Why not there being a movie be about the 2001 storyline, though? It’s just to make things more interesting. The set animations from the CDs are neat to watch. I like that the Rahkshi hide in darkness to strike at their foes. The storyline also has an online game that we know and love called Mata Nui Online Game II: The Final Chronicle, a sequel to the Mata Nui Online Game in 2001 that centers around Hahli, who is a new Chronicler who is having adventure that involves exploring around the island. This also leads to her involvement to the movie’s events. I played and liked the game. It’s very fun, and I like how you get to explore the island, collect interesting things, and improve your Kohlii skills. However, I wish I could fly a Rahi bird, like the first game, and those glitches are annoying. I wasn’t completely done with the game because of them, too. There’s also a video game with a console version for the first time. It’s called Bionicle: The Game. It’s general about the 2001-2003 storylines, even though it is mostly about the 2002 and 2003 storylines. I played the PlayStation 2 game. It was okay, but it could’ve been a lot better. I mean, there’s not much you can do after an hour or two. I like that you fire energy, travel in some places throughout levels, and mostly the movie-esque graphics, but I wish the graphics could be a lot better. There are so many limitations. You only play some versions of the Toa and fight some enemies. I wanted much more. Why can’t the game be based on the 2001-2003 storylines much more, as you playing the Toa in every way? Plus, there are some false advertisements. Bummer. Not the best Lego game that I’ve ever had played. In fact, the game got some negative reviews, and a sequel based on the 2004 storyline got cancelled because of that, man. You know, it's quite interesting that the Rahkshi’s powers have been used to give the Makuta species the same powers later on. So, guys, what are you fond memories of the storyline, what do you like about it, what’s your favorite Bohrok-Kal (set), favorite character(s) in the storyline, favorite moment in the storyline, what things remind you of the storyline, and/or how would you celebrate it? For me, my favorite sets are Takutanuva, Turahk, Vorahk, Makuta, and Takanuva. My favorite characters in the storyline are Takua/Takanuva, Tahu, Onua, and Makuta. The things that remind me are: 1. Xialon Showdown - there’s this light-vs.-dark theme with Omi, a short guy, facing against bad guys who are about darkness. 2. Star Wars - Luke Skywalker is scared about fighting Darth Vader, which is like how Takua was scared of Makuta. Plus, the light-vs.-dark theme. 3. Ninjago’s 2013 storyline - Lloyd Garmadon fights against the Overlord. Lloyd is like Takua by starting out as a short guy who turned into a taller hero who is about light and is told to fight against a villain with dark powers, who is the Overlord, of course. Plus, the Overlord is very much like Makuta by shape-shifting, involving robots, making strategic plans, and creating powerful minions. Lord Garmadon is sort of like the Overlord, too. 4. Iron Man movie in 2008 - small hero fighting against big villain who is a bane of his existence. 5. Kingdom Hearts - there is a short guy named Sora who represents light and fights against powerful villains who represent darkness. 6. Bionicle’s 2016 storyline - Ekimu becomes a Toa of Light to fight against Makuta, who has Shadow powers, and his powerful minions. 7. Hero Factory - Von Nebula is sort of like Makuta in some ways, like being a dark-looking giant. Plus, Meltdown mind-controlling Stormer reminds me of Kurahk corrupting Tahu. 8. Sonic the Hedgehog in 2006 - there is this villain with dark powers named Mephilles who is fought in dark lairs. 9. Numbah 4’s mech in an episode of Codename: Kids Next Door where the Delight Children From Down The Lane was attacking the treehouse and used a device that zapped Numbah 1. It reminds me of the three-headed Rahkshi Kaita. 10. Legends of Chima - how there is this little Phoenix child who is sort of scared and learns to become powerful and fights against evil. 11. Steven Universe - Steven is sort of like Takua while the Crystal Gems are sort of like the Toa. 12. Samurai Jack - there is this light-vs.-dark theme sort of, and Jack represents light and fight against a shape-shifting villain named Aku, who represents darkness. 13. The Legend of Korra’s Season 2 - Korra and Raava represent light while Korra’s evil uncle and Vaatu represent darkness. Plus, there is the battle against the Avatar (Korra and Raava) and the dark Avatar (the evil uncle and Vaatu) 14. Fairly Odd Parents’ Wishology TV movies - how Timmy Turner is chosen to fight the Darkness is like Takua being chosen to become the Toa of Light to fight against Makuta. 15. Kirby games and TV show - how Kirby fights Nightmare is like Takanuva fighting Makuta. 16. The Powerpuff Girls - Makuta is like Mojo Jojo and Him combined. Mojo Jojo plans strategically while Him likes to mentally torture his heroic enemies. 17. The Lord of the Rings movies in 2001-2003 - the movie is kind of like Frodo’s quest to get rid of the One Ring to prevent a dark lord from taking over the place.

Hi, guys! I know that Bionicle had ended a year ago sadly, but let’s be happy about Bionicle for something else. You see, this year, 2018, is the 15th anniversary of Bionicle’s early 2003 storyline, which involved the Bohrok-Kal. I know that this year doesn't have anything Bionicle-related, but let’s celebrate the 15th anniversary of the 2003 storyline. That would enlighten you more. Let me tell you the early 2003 storyline: The storyline is about the Toa Nuva, who are Toa Mata enhanced by a magical substance called Energized Protodermis in the 2002 storyline (which involved the Bohrok), fighting against a new threat, which is a team of six mutated Bohrok called the Bohrok-Kal. The Bahrag, the Bohrok's queens who were imprisoned by the Toa Mata with a prison in the previous storyline, mutated these six Bohrok, each from one of the six types of Bohrok, to create their elite team who they tasked to free the queens. Each Bohrok-Kal have new elemental powers that replaced ones from their former selves, have silver secondary colors, and can talk. The Bohrok-Kal are: 1. Tahnok-Kal (mutated Tahnok that has electricity powers instead of fire, and it's red) 2. Gahlok-Kal (mutated Gahlok that has magnetic powers instead of water, and it's blue) 3. Levahk-Kal (mutated Levahk that has vacuum powers instead of acid, and it's green) 4. Kovahk-Kal (mutated Kovahk that has sonic powers instead of ice, and it's white) 5. Panrahk-Kal (mutated Panrahk that has plasma powers instead of stone, and it's brown) 6. Nuvohk-Kal (mutated Nuvohk that has gravity powers instead of earth, and it's black) Their Krana are also mutated into the Krana-Kal, which also have new powers that replaced ones from their original forms. The Bohrok-Kal go to get and steal six magical tablets called the Nuva Symbols, which contained the Toa Nuva's elemental powers and are placed on their Suva, to use them as keys to use another magical object called the Nuva Cube to free the queens from their prison. Along the way, the Bohrok attacked the Toa's people who got in their way. Once the Bohrok stole the Symbols, the Toa Nuva's elemental powers are gone, as their masks turned grey. The Toa Nuva, who decided to separate before this, got weakened by this, got defeated by the Bohrok-Kal in one fight, and have to work together to get their symbols back. When they found the Bohrok-Kal in the Bohrok Nest, where the Cube is, they were too late to stop the Bohrok from unleashing the queens, who would awaken the normal Bohrok, who would attack the Toa's people again. However, before the Bohrok-Kal were going to insert the Symbols into the Cube, which could free the queens, Tahu uses a powerful new Kanohi mask called the Kanohi Vahi, aka the Mask of Time, which is given by Turaga Vakama, to stop them, allowing the Toa to go get their Symbols back, but the Krana-Kal turned silver as they protected the Bohrok-Kal from the Toa. The Toa did a trick that made the Bohrok-Kal stronger, and this made the Bohrok prefer their newly enhanced power over freeing the queens, but the Toa overloaded the Bohrok's powers so much that the powers have defeated them. The Toa got their powers back. The day is saved. Later on, there are some extra things before the Mask of Light events (late 2003). First, the Turaga had their Matoran rebuilt themselves to have stronger forms, and the Matoran changed their names a little. Second, the Toa have to find a new set of Kanohi Masks called the Kanohi Nuva, which are the same as the ones they got during their transformation from the Energized Protodermis. The Kanohi Nuva are enhanced versions of regular Kanohi. Each of the Toa has to find its own five Kanohi Nuva, which also have the same color as it is. That was done, as the Toa placed their new masks into their Suva. To celebrate, let me ask you this: What are your fond memories of the storyline and/or what do you like about it? Let me say my answer. I think it's alright. The sets, which are only six, one for each Bohrok-Kal, are okay. I mean, they're cool, like the Bohrok, as I like the head-hitting (like a chicken), the Krana-Kal launching, and the transformation into a ball. I like their silver pieces, the prints on their heads, and new shields. It's interesting that they are like counterparts to the Toa Nuva by color as much as the Bohrok are to the Toa Mata. The Bohrok-Kal are mostly re-colored versions of the Bohrok. There is that pack with the Kanohi Nuva and Krana-Kal. It's neat to collect more of these masks, like the ones in 2001 and 2002. Plus, the Mask of Time came as a set piece. It's hard that you had to get it through a promotional thing, but it's neat. The same would go to the silver Krana-Kal. Next, the combo models. Well, the models, which are the Bohrok-Kal Kaita, which are the one with the Kovahk-Kal, Gahlok-Kal, and Levahk-Kal and the one with the Tahnok-Kal, Panrahk-Kal, and Nuvohk-Kal, are alright. They look kind of weird, but cool. The first one looks like a Bohrok-Kal's head being smashed and the second one looks like a Tahnok-Kal having enlarged arms and legs while his body is unchanged. But, hey, they look cool, as I said. (Why not make look even like the, though) As for the story and media, well, the story is okay. It is told through three comic books, two chapter books, and three online animations called the Bohrok-Kal Online Animations (in a way). I like the part where Lewa fell off a tree, the little Rahi cows being magnetically stuck to Pohatu and his friends, Tahu's army of Tahnok being easily defeated by Nuvohl-Kal when it uses its gravity powers to send them to outer space (Lol. ), Tahu using the Mask of Time, and all six of the Bohrok-Kal being defeated by having their powers overloaded. Plus, it's neat to see the Mask, and this is where the Mask first appeared. The Bohrok-Kal are quite cool and smart. I like their new powers. Strangely, why not make them Nuva versions of the Bohrok, like the Toa Nuva (Like, you know, having enhanced versions of the normal Bohrok's powers)? It's because they look like Nuva versions of the Bohrok because of their silver color and shields. Their shields look more like they can use normal Bohrok's powers rather than the Bohrok-Kal's. Plus, why not make armies of each type of Bohrok-Kal, like the Bohrok (The Bohrok-Kal sound like new types of Bohrok because of their new powers)? It's interesting that the Bohrok-Kal and even their Krana-Kal can talk and have minds of their own. Plus, their Krana-Kal can turn silver and protect the Bohrok-Kal from harm, even if they are stopped in time magically. The Toa Nuva are cool characters, and I like that they used their strategy to defeat the Bohrok-Kal by overloading their powers. However, I am disappointed that the Toa have to rely on the Symbols to keep their enhanced elemental powers. Why not just keep the powers in the Toa's bodies, like their normal selves? You know, it's quite interesting that the Bohrok-Kal's powers have been used to give the Makuta species and new types of Toa the same powers later on. So, guys, what are you fond memories of the storyline, what do you like about it, what’s your favorite Bohrok-Kal (set), favorite character(s) in the storyline, favorite moment in the storyline, what things remind you of the storyline, and/or how would you celebrate it? For me, my favorite Bohrok-Kal sets are the Tahnok-Kal, Levahk-Kal, and Nuvohk-Kal. My favorite characters are Tahu, Lewa, Tahnok-Kal, Levahk-Kal, and Nuvohk-Kal. I really wish that the Nuva Symbols and the Nuva Cube would be set pieces, and Toa Kaita Akami Nuva (Tahu+Pohatu+Onua) and that Bohrok-Kal Katia with Tahnok-Kal, Panrahk-Kal, and Nuvohk-Kal had happened in the story, though. The things that remind me are: 1. Lanterns' Power Batteries from DC Comics in a way, as the Lanterns rely on those things to recharge their powers, otherwise they wouldn't have their powers unless they recharge them. 2. The Hard-Boiled Heavies from Sonic Mania in 2017. 3. The episode in a Marvel TV show called Ultimate Spider-Man while a superhero named Ben Reilly planned to let a villain named Kaine absorb empowering energy to defeat him. 4. The Skull Villains from Bionicle 2015-2016 - They drain the Toa Masters' elemental energy after stealing their masks.

Hi, guys! This year, 2018, is the 5th anniversary to one of Ninjago's set waves that was released in 2013 and involved the Stone Army and The Final Battle. Let's talk about it to celebrate the anniversary. For the storyline, it is said in this topic: http://www.bzpower.com/board/topic/25753-happy-5th-anniversary-to-the-stone-army-season-2012/ . I have no idea why Lego tell the whole story in 2012 instead of 2013, but alright. Plus, I have no idea why you guys never talked about that topic at all. Now, for the sets, they look very cool. I like the Ninja's new outfits and the new crooked sword pieces that make up the Elemental Blades that the Ninja used. Lloyd looks awesome with his new Golden Ninja outfit! Kai's mech looks cool and cute. A little stubby, but good. Cole's drill vehicle looks very neat. I also love Lloyd's mech, too! Nice gold and white colors on it. Lloyd's Golden Dragon looks very cool, too. It's strange that the Ninja didn't have the shoulder pads from the show, and Lloyd's eyes are dark red. Plus, the sets should've included a normal version of Lloyd from the show. Weird. The Stone Army looks cool. They look like samurais. I like Kozu's new extra-pair-of-arms piece. The helmets are very neat, too. I like their red and black color schemes. Their vehicles are awesome, and I like their red and black color schemes and the new sword-like pieces, too. The motorcycle with the thread looks cool, and the Garmatron looks awesome. That vehicle look like that it is a face that shoots a missile from its mouth. Too bad that we don't have one that looks like a four-legged animal from the show for some reason because it also looks very cool and interesting. Plus, too bad that we don't have a set for the Overlord's dragon form. Also, it's weird that in the sets, Lord Garmadon looks like that he wears a helmet with a mouth piece to show that he is possessed by the Overlord, while the show only show Garmadon as a reptilian monster. Weird. The temple looks very neat. So, what about you guys? I mean, what do you think about them? How do you think we celebrate the anniversary of the set wave, too?

Hi, guys! I know that Bionicle had ended a year ago sadly, but let’s be happy about Bionicle for something else. You see, this year, 2017, is the 10th anniversary of Bionicle’s 2007 storyline. I know that this year that we got the music album for the movie, Bionicle: Mask of Light’s 14th anniversary, but if you think this isn’t enough for this year, then let’s celebrate the 10th anniversary of the 2007 storyline. That would enlighten you more. Let me tell you the 2007 storyline: The 2007 storyline is about the Toa Inika’s quest to find the Kanohi Ignika, aka the Mask of Life, continuing by going into the sea. It starts off when Matoro successfully got the Kanohi Ignika, aka the Mask of Life, in the 2006 storyline, since the Mask has a mind of its own, doesn’t want to be used in the island of Voya Nui while a hostile Rahi called the Kardas Dragon makes Matoro let go of the Mask. It flies to the sea around Voya Nui while the Toa Inika follow it. However, they can’t get into the water, but their ally, Axonn, shows a way to get there by leading the Toa to the Cord, which is under the island. The Mask falls onto the sea floor. In the sea, there is an underwater city called Mahri Nui, which is near the Cord, and it is inhabited by Matoran. A Po-Matoran named Dekar notices the Mask. A group of evil and mutated warlords based on sea creatures, called the Barraki, notice the Mask as well, and plans to get it to defeat the Great Spirit Mata Nui and take over the Matoran Universe. Long ago, the Barraki were once normal people who rules some parts of the Matoran Universe, but they later on rebelled against the Great Spirit, but thry were stopped by the Brotherhood of Makuta and were sent to a prison called the Pit. However, when the Great Cataclysm happened, they escaped, but a magical substance called the Pit Mutagen mutated the Barraki into sea-creature-based monsters that only breathe water, so they’re trapped underwater. They think that the Mask can reverse all that, too, so they are going to get their hands on it. They lead armies of various sea creatures that they’re based on. The Barraki also threaten people from Mahri Nui. When Dekar is having the Mask, it uses its incredible powers, which cause Dekar to believe that the Mask is too dangerous for anyone to have, so he wants to destroy it. However, Barraki also notice Dekar having the Mask, so they want to take it from him, but he is defending himself. Also however, the Barraki’s leader, Pridak, successfully gets the Mask, but it is using its powers. When the Toa Inika arrived to the bottom of the Cord that leads them to Mahri Nui, the Mask transforms them into their new underwater forms called the Toa Mahri. The team gets newly transformed weapons and masks, but their elemental powers no longer are mixed with lightning, making them normal, and the team only breathe water. That’s the winter 2007 part of the story. Here is the summer part: After the transformation, the Toa meet with Mahri Nui’s people and the Toa say that they will protect the people from the Barraki. The Toa find powerful guns called the Cordak Blasters, and they go look for the Mask of Life. When the Mask noticed the Dekar’s life is in danger, it saves his life by transforming him into a duplicate of another being named Hydraxon, who was killed during the Cataclysm. Hydraxon’s memories bury Dekar’s memories, so the duplicate thinks that he’s the real Hydraxon. He is also the jailer of the Pit, so he goes searching and recapturing escaped prisoners. He captures Matoro and puts him in jail. Along the way, the Makuta of Metru Nui, in his Antidermis form and who got out of the Piraka’s damaged Antidermis tank, finds one of Hydraxon’s robots called the Maxilos, which guard the Pit, and possesses it like a ghost, making the robot as his new “body”, his disguise to avoid being noticed by his enemies, and container for his Antidermis. When he finds Matoro, he frees him because he wants to help him, even though that Makuta is evil. He tells Matoro to reanimate a dead Toa named Tuyet, who got killed during the Cataclysm, which Makuta caused, and get a magical stone called the Nui Stone. However, a tyrant named Karzahni, who is looking for the Toa Mahri, who he abused when they were once Matoran, notices the group and destroys Tuyet. Makuta defeats Karzahni and tells Matoro that in order to save Mata Nui from death, he and the Toa Mahri have to destroy the Cord in order to do it. Then, Makuta and Matoro separate. While the Toa Mahri are fighting the Barraki, when Hydraxon notices the Mask, he remembers from Dekar’s memories that he believes that the Mask is dangerous, so Hydraxon tries to destroy it, but he is stopped by Hahli. Along the way, when a tiny Rahi called a Gadunka touches the Mask, it enlarges the creature into the size so big that it can eat a person. The Gadunka believes that the Mask should be its, so he goes to get and keep it to itself. Jaller tries to get the Mask, but is stopped by Hydraxon while Matoro freezes Makuta to stop him from doing planned bad things. Then, Jaller accidentally frees Makuta from his icy prison by using Jaller’s fire powers. Later, Hydraxon and Makuta fight each other, allowing the Toa to get the Mask again. While the Barraki are having a problem with each other about one of them betraying the others, the Toa evacuated Mahri Nui’s people, so they can destroy the Cord. Before they do, they fight against the Gadunka and its two giant allies. The Toa defeat them before Hydraxon shows up to confront the Toa. The Toa convince Hydraxon that they are not criminals and they need the Mask for their good deed, so Hydraxon lets them go. The Toa destroy the Cord by using their Blasters, so the island of Voya Nui, which the Cord connected to Mahri Nui, sinks into the water, destroying Mahri Nui along the way. The Barraki notice Makuta, so they fight and defeat him by destroying the Maxilos robot that he is possessing, but he disappears after that. The Barraki then go after the Toa for the Mask. Matoro tries to find somewhere where he can use the Mask to save Mata Nui’s life, but he notices that Mata Nui is dead. Matoro feels very sad. However, he doesn’t lose hope, so he goes to find a way to revive Mata Nui while the other Toa buy Matoro some time by fighting the Barraki. Matoro goes to a waterfall, which Voya Nui was heading, where the Mask tells him to wear it. When the Mask shows Matoro that his friends are in danger because of the Barraki, Matoro uses its power to transport the other Toa to safety by taking them to Metru Nui and have them breathe both air again and water in order to save their lives from the Barraki. Then, the Mask also tells him that he has to sacrifice his life to use the Mask’s power to revive Mata Nui. Matoro does so, so Mata Nui is revived, and the whole Matoran Universe is saved. Everyone in there is happy, but when Turaga Vakama tells the Toa Mahri about Matoro’s fate, they feel sad about him. The people of Metru Nui commemorate Matoro for his heroic actions and make a statue of him to remember him as a great hero who saved everyone. Meanwhile, the Toa Nuva meet a guy named Artakha, who gives them new armor and then teleports them to a new place. The end of the 2007 storyline, and that part about the Toa Nuva being in the new place is where the 2008 storyline started. To celebrate, let me ask you this: What are your fond memories about the storyline and/or what do you like about it? For me, I like the Barraki. They look very cool, including that the fact that they are based on different sea creatures. It’s interesting that 2007 is where canister sets started to look different from each other from that on rather than having the same body type like in 2001-2006. I like the new pieces that look like the sea creatures’ parts, and I like how the Barraki look like sea creatures much. The eye pieces are neat as you can plug them into the Barraki’s heads. The mandibles are neat as you can open and close them. Their weapons are cool, but their Squid Launcher is hard to use to shoot Sea Squids. I also wish that the Barraki could have mouths that open and close. The Sea Squids look cool. I like their yellowish-orangish and bluish-greenish colors. Plus, it’s neat that anyone who has Squid Launchers can have clip pieces that store the Squids. One thing about the Squids, though, is that they look more like leeches than squids, so it’s weird to call them Squids, you see. Kalmah is neat because he is based on a squid, has two giant tentacles, and has three eyes. Takadox has glow-in-the-dark pieces, and he has nice knives that look like a mantis’ claws. I like the red spikes, too. He is quite the tallest of the Barraki. One thing about him, though, is that head is a bit hollow. Ehlek looks very cool because of his green spikes and talons. The talons are like Wolverine’s claws from Marvel. However, he doesn’t have a lower mouth. Carapar looks very cool, too, because of his giant claws and new armor pieces. The use of of the color, yellow, is good. However, Carapar doesn’t have a lower mouth, either, and he doesn’t have another claw. Mantax looks neat because of his claws, red spikes, and his upper body looking like a manta ray, but, again, he doesn’t have a lower mouth, and his arms look uneven. Pridak looks very cool because of his fins, blades, long feet, and the red blotches on his white pieces. The small sets look neat. I like the Matoran’s blades and launchers. The Hydruka look cool because they sort of look like scorpions with launchers on their tails. Nice teeth on them, too. The blue Hydruka has a nice glow-in-the-dark as well. The Toa Mahri look awesome, as they look like commandos with giant cannons. I like their breathing tubes, which make the Toa look like that they adapted to water. The blasters look cool, but what’s troubling about them is that you can’t shoot the ammo from them unless you loosen the ammo in the cannons. Jaller looks cool, and he has a nice sword. It’s neat that he has a Hannah crab to be his animal sidekick that hold his blaster. Hahli looks amazing, and she has a nice mask, wing-like fins on her back, and that giant claw of hers. I am not too fond of the green secondary color, though, because it makes her look like a Toa of the Green rather than a Toa of Water. Kongu looks awesome because he looks like a commando with two blasters. I like his mask because it’s neat that he has a green bulb-like thing attached to the mask. Hewkii looks very cool because of his giant blade in his left hand, blades on his right arm, mask, spikes on his thighs, and chains. However, how he wears his mask in his set is weird, and his arms look uneven. Plus, where’s his right hand? Nuparu looks cool. I like his shield. However, he has some restrictions on his wrists and ankles. Matoro looks cool (Get it, because he’s the Toa of Ice? Lol! ), as he has those big claws and giant black tubes. However, his arms look uneven, again. I like Hahli’s, Nuparu’s, and Matoro’s visors because they are neat. But, why do they have red eyes? Now, the large sets. Nocturn looks awesome and beautiful! I mean, this dude that four arms, many glow-in-the-dark pieces, spikes, bulky-ness, transparent blue pieces, swords, a Squid Launcher, and a tentacle, man! The Gadunka looks very cool, as its head is so big that its can eat a person and has a lot of pointy teeth. It’s neat that the Gadunka set uses Ehlek spikes for the teeth. I like the claws, glow-in-the-dark head, use of the blue and silver pieces, and it’s cool that it has a Squid Launcher. One thing I find weird about its set is the neck because it’s very thin. Hydraxon looks awesome because of his various weapons. I like his poseable and clawed hands. Maxilos is mighty great because of his mask, Titan-size, big sword, claws, and Cordak Blaster. I like his flexible torso. Spinax looks great because of his spikes. His head would look like that you could use it to make a seventh Barraki. Lesovikk looks cool because of his blade and shoulder pads. His Sea Sled looks cool, too, as it has a Cordak Blaster mounted in it and the landing gear. It’s like Takanuva and Ussalnui set in 2003. Karzahni looks awesome, as he has chains, spikes, those Takadox knive pieces on his torso, clawed and spikes hands, armor, and cape. His head/mask looks cool because of the horns and spikes, but why can’t he have a one-piece plastic version of his mask? I like the shades of green on him. One thing that I find weird about him, though, is how his neck is built. Sarda and Ibris look cool, like the other two Matoran sets in the winter half of 2007. I like their unique blades, claws, and masks. Their underwater trap looks amazing because of the spikes and its function to trap Karzahni. The playsets, well, look great. It’s cool that some of the Rahi can be used a vehicles for the Toa Mahri to use. They have great weapons and functions. The Barraki have cool-looking mutated sea animals that they have for soldiers. However, not every minfigure, who are based on the Toa Mahri and Barraki, are equal. There is no minifigure for Carapar. All of their heads are messed up. Plus, not all 12 of the characters are in one set, like the one in 2006. Next, the combo models. The Ehlek-Carapar-Mantax one, aka the Pit War Tortoise, looks very cool, but it has a weird neck and stiff points on its ankles. The Kalmah-Takadox-Pridak one, aka Zyglak, looks amazing! It looks like a lizard well! The Carapar-Mantax-Nuparu-Matoro combo, aka the Manutri, looks very cool because it has both a Squid Launcher and two Cordak Blasters, man! It looks kind of cute, too. Too bad that there are combiners for the other Toa Mahri or the large sets. As for the story and media, I think the story is very good. It’s been told through comics, novels, and online serials. The Barraki are cool characters, and they have some good character development. I feel bad that they got mutated into monsters after they escaped from prison. It’s interesting that they don’t get along or others, similar to the Piraka. I see that Brutaka was trying to team up with the Barraki, but they betrayed him, just like the Piraka. It’s not like in Marvel where there are the Sinister Six. Plus, Takadox was secretly a traitor to the Barraki as he was a servant to the Brotherhood of Makuta, the very people who stopped the Barraki from trying to conquer the Matoran Universe before they got imprisoned in the Pit. The Barraki have very cool powers, like Carapar with his super-strength and Takadox with his ability to hypnotize people. It’s also cool that some of their armies have some Rahi from 2002. Plus, each of the Barraki is from his own species of people. I wish there is a seventh Barraki, though. Nocturn is a cool guy. He may be dumb, but he is cool. Dekar is a troubled guy who didn’t know how to handle the Mask of Life. He could’ve just hide it or give it to the Toa Mahri. I felt bad that he was in danger, so the Mask was trying to the poor guy by turning him into a duplicate of Hydraxon. It’s sad that the original one died. It’s also sad that Dekar is currently trapped in the duplicate’s mind, so the duplicate can’t remember that he was Dekar. Dekar’s friends must be worried about the poor guy. This Hydraxon acted like a stubborn jerk he believed that all strangers are escaped prisoners without letting them prove their innocence. The Toa Mahri has a hard time convincing this guy. Makuta is a cool dude. He’s like a ghost. I get that he is trying to be nice to Matoro by helping him out with saving Mata Nui’s life, but he does have an evil move in his sleeve about this. Plus, this guy doesn’t want any opponent to mess with him. The Toa Mahri are great characters with very good character development. Hewkii is grateful that he learned swimming lessons from Hahli. Hahli is a clever hero who knows what to do in order to help her team. Jaller, Kongu, and Nuparu are good characters. They all are good friends to each other. I feel bad they are too are stuck being underwater because they only breathe water. Now, here came Matoro. This dude too was conflicted, but he knew what is the right thing to do. Although he should’ve not talk to evil strangers, he was still a good guy. This dude never gave up on reviving Mata Nui and saving the Matoran Universe. I feel very sad that he sacrificed his own life to use the Mask of Life’s power to revive Mata Nui. Before he died, he also saved his friends from the Barraki by bring them to Metru Nui and make them able to breathe both air again and water. Matoro was such a very great hero. He saved everybody in the Matoran Universe. Though, it’s sad that he died. (crying in tears) I feel bad for Lesovikk for the fact that he lost his team and based himself for it. This also makes him want to kill his enemies, which is against the Toa Code. Sarda and Ibris are good characters. They are good friends to each other and Lesovikk. Karzahni is a cool villain. He doesn’t want anyone to mess with him, and is ruthless. I felt bad that Karzahni was driven insane by Teridax when his mind was damaged by Teridax. It’s cool to see the Piraka again for a brief moment. They got mutated into snakes, and fought the Toa Mahri before they get taken away by Axonn. It’s neat to hear about the Toa Nuva’s adventures during the events of the 2007 storyline. They have been doing some strange and good stuff to get ready for the Great Spirit. Lesovikk and Karzahni May have their own thing with each other, but they could’ve get more involved with the 2007 storyline. Lesovikk could’ve made new Toa friends with the Toa Mahri, and the Toa would try to help him feel better. The Matoran duo would help the Toa, too. Karzahni would also help the Barraki get the Mask of Life and defeat the Toa Mahri, so Karzahni would have more ruling power and take the Toa Mahri as his prisoners again. Makuta could’ve fought the Toa team as well. There are a lot of things that make me feel annoyed. That Bionicle Legends about the Toa Inika’s travels in the Cord shouldn’t have cancelled. It would be nice to look at their adventures more. I heard that Nuparu was supposed to have his Aqua Blaster Blade and Carapar with his two claws in their sets, so these should’ve happened. Kongu should’ve kept his melee combat weapon, which is transformed from his Laser Crossbow. Plus, brown ain’t on the “Stone” characters much. Sad. I have no idea how did these happen. It would be cool to see a set for the mutated Brutaka. Plus, there should have been a combined set similar to the Vezon and Kardas set. Too bad there wasn’t. (Though I would imagine that if that could happen, it would be a mix of the Gadunka, Hydraxon, and Maxilos and Spinax set, and this mix would be a powerful and giant Rahi or a warrior). It would also be nice to see the outcome of that fight between Brutaka and Maxilos. The online serials were introduced in 2007. I thought they are cool as they tell more stuff in the storyline. I wish there could have been a sequel to Bionicle Heroes in 2006. (Though if it would happen, it would be based on the 2007 storyline) So, guys, what are your fond memories of the storyline, what do you like about it, what’s your favorite 2007 set, favo
