Quake Beast Already Sold Out?
KopakaFan116 posted a topic in Bionicle DiscussionHello fellow Bionicle fans, Just wanted to let everyone know that Quake Beast seems to be out of stock on shop.lego.com as of this posting. This set is also not currently available at Toys R Us.com either. I would recommend going to your local Lego and Toys R Us stores if you still want to get this set before it's super hard to find, or call Lego customer service to see if you can order it. http://shop.lego.com/en-US/Quake-Beast-71315?fromListing=listing http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=85312186&prodFindSrc=search&cp= Thanks for your time! Kopaka out.
Hey guys, Now that the beasts are in more stores and more of you have gotten your hands on them, what do you think of the new Quake Beast and do you remember his Hero Factory brother, Bruizer?
Quake beast revamp
vicente steffens posted a topic in Bionicle-Based CreationsQuake beast revamp It has been quite some time since the last posted creation, however they come to know more and hope you find it to your liking.A few months ago the images of bionicle summer sets were released and not everyone liked this concept of beasts in the sets, however, I found an interesting idea in each set, one that took my attention was the quake beast.two ideas came as inspiration for creating the moc, the original set and head concept from "ultimate dume" compared to the figure, there are not many details, only try to add items to make it look less humanoid possible, the right arm was designed as a deck, unlike the set that uses more skeletons easier to pose this arm and as a whole the left arm is normal with some modifications to make it look fair to the proportions of his opposite arm. I hope you liked there and see you in the next post!!
Kromaridon, of the Southern Islands
Torran posted a topic in Bionicle-Based CreationsRoar. This is Kromaridon, a dinosaur-like Rahi that lives in the southern islands of the Matoran Universe. A predator, this is not a beast with which you would want to trifle! Scary stuff. I wasn't expecting to create a bipod creature when I started out, nor was I looking to build something this large. The dual pistons per leg are necessary for balance, due to the forward weight of the body. My sister named it, so if you think it's a funny name that isn't very lore friendly... yeah... *See if you can count how many feet are used!* Brickshelf - Flickr Happy building!
WARNING: CRUMMY SMARTPHONE PICTURES AHEAD http://i168.photobucket.com/albums/u169/naponte/Mobile%20Uploads/5288c8c0-0924-4f4f-92d6-c3d63c36a0d2_zpsb5afc39f.jpg "While Beast hives usually have drones that can supply reproductive aid, in times of stress, the creatures known as the Splitter Beasts will take up reproductive duties. Jumpers born of Splitter Beasts will develop as normal, for the most part. However, 'royal' Jumpers - those that evolve into Queens - will sometimes experience a deviation in their evolution, mutating into the fearsome monster known as the Razor Queen. Razor Queens are larger and tougher than their "cousins", the normal Queen Beasts, with an extra pair of legs, large spines, a more heavily armored carapace, and an extra pair of clawed arms. Befitting their soldier-unit parentage, this breed of Queen is much more aggressive, actively sending out Beasts to gather food and clearing out opposition (which include inhabited settlements, homes of other creatures, and even other Beast Hives). On occasion, a Razor Queen will lead a migration to new nesting grounds, Soldier Ant style, demolishing and consuming anything unfortunate enough to get in the way." So, yeah, I decided to make this monstrosity. Originally, I wanted to wait until the Summer sets were released so I could do this (since a few more parts, particularly those from the Queen set, would be available for me to use), but I decided to do this now, using a bunch of parts from the already-released sets. I was also originally going to make the 3-headed chimera beast, but I decided this would be better. Rurmuax: Fell Shadow
Chro posted a topic in Bionicle-Based Creations^ CLICK THE IMAGE ABOVE TO VIEW THE FLICKR GALLERY ^ Rurmuax was a Makuta who watched over one of the Southern Islands long before the Great Cataclysm. At a certain point a while before Teridax's takeover of the Brotherhood, Rurmuax was hunted down by a group of Toa. One of the Toa spotted the Makuta and wildly activated his Zatth, but unluckily for all involved, the nearest Rahi were a large troop of Visorak, which the summoning Toa could not control. The Toa were all killed by the Visorak, but Rurmuax was stunned before he could use any of his powers, and subsequently captured. He was mutated and unable to shapeshift, and although he did retain many of his original powers, they were greatly limited. Additionally, Rurmuax's sanity degraded quite rapidly. He was last known to be aimlessly roaming the Southern Islands. This is, in my opinion, one of my best MOCs. Feedback is most certainly appreciated.
Chro posted a topic in Bionicle-Based CreationsSomewhere off in the stony wastes, something is hungry. ^ Click this photo to view the MOCpages gallery. ^ Something different from my usual MOCs... this is my first complete non-humanoid build in months. I'm quite satisfied with it. Sorry for the relatively small amount of photos, but there's really not a large variety of poses I can put a giant scorpion in.Feedback is appreciated. (Also, 1000 posts! Woo!)
Onewa7 posted a topic in Bionicle-Based CreationsHey again, BZPers. I'm now showing two MOCs I made long ago. One is Altai, Matoran of War, made for Gentleman Scarecrow's fourth BCBS challenge on MOCpages. It's sort of an alternate version of Taipu. Click on the pic for gallery. And the other is an attempt to find a good use for the Mistika canister lid piece. I don't know if it has been used before, personaly it's the first use I ever saw of it, but who knows? Anyway, here is the Bionicle Beast.C&C welcomed.

Orka posted a topic in Bionicle-Based CreationsMy friends, it is time again for another one of my MOCs, this one a bit larger in scale. Presenting, the Fire Bull. Whereas Kaantoe and Matiguyed were simple, Fire is somewhat of a complex build, especially for me, but I'm hoping that underneath the complex exterior you'll be able see the core of this piece. Whatever that means. I'll leave the final judgement to you, the viewers. http://i357.photobuc...r1996/Bull2.jpg Inspired by the previous quadrapeds of the Bionicle franchies, such as Spinax, Fire is a step above those frail builds with what can only be described as a "big boned" body-set. Upon closer inspection, any observant viewer will note that while there is some meat on the limbs, most of the weight and mass is centered in the upper torso, making some positions awkward, but generally contributing to an overall stable frame. http://i357.photobuc...r1996/Bull3.jpg Despite a quite antimidating frame, Fre Bulls are for the most bit docile, or at least apathetic to their surroundings. Possessing innate telepathic and telekinetic abilities, early inhabitants of Xia believed them to be demons due to their telekinetic powers. http://i357.photobuc...r1996/Bull4.jpg When substantially threatened, the Bull forgets its relaxed ways and rears up on legs. It's back legs not used to carrying the generous load of the Bull, the sight would be quick comical if you didn't have a huge bull running at you. http://i357.photobuc...r1996/Bull5.jpg The main sign of a Bull's health is it's mane-like sprout of hair from the back of it's head. Bulls will spend an average of two hours each day preening their mane in an attempt to get a mate. http://i357.photobuc...r1996/Bull6.jpg Despite usually being quite territorial, Bulls are sometimes docile enough for Matoran to approach and rest on one, during which the Bull will protect the Matoran as if they are one of it's young. Enjoy!
