Flickr A complete revamp of the Aeon, and probably the largest humanoid MOC I've made. As such, it presented some unique challenges, like how to keep it standing. Even after liberal piston application to the legs, it still managed to fall over incessantly when I photographed it. Thankfully, that's over with now. There is a turntable in the waist which allows rotation, but given how finicky it was being I decided to not tempt fate by messing with it much for these shots. Enjoy! Flickr See, I'm not dead guys! And I'm still building new stuff! This, on the other hand, is a rather old MOC which I stumbled upon again recently. Meant to be a Matoran design with as much articulation as possible. The head can rotate, and there are extra joints in the waist and ankles, as well as some additional mobility in the shoulders and knees offered by the Technic pieces. I should rebuild her with CCBS parts, now... ~B~

Flickr Had the idea for this revamp of an old MOC bouncing around in my head for a while, so at BrickFair I acquired some parts specifically for it and built the thing soon afterward. Personally, I think it came out rather well! The main image on Flickr has more information, inculding a link to the original version of the MOC, which I think it is a major improvement on.Comments are welcome. ~B~

AKA the Doom Buggy, involving the Doomy Dooms of Doom! Worked on this for quite a while around May or so, and thought I'd stagger posting it, as I had things like Yarrohk and Bokoch to post at the time. As the title indicates, it is able to be remote controlled, as it uses the Manas body as its core. Personally, I'm pretty proud of this, due to how it incorporates a viable working function and such. Unfortunately, however, due to minor variations in the gears, it doesn't roll in a straight line when it should move forward, but that's not really something I could fix, as using numerous different gears didn't help.I could have sent this to BrickFair for people to play with, but the gear system actually ended up being a lot more fragile than I had thought it would be, alongside the fact that it doesn't move perfectly. Also, at one point in the video the wheels appear to be moving very spastically. I think that's due to how the remote control was way off to the side, and not pointing at the MOC directly enough. What can I say, I had an odd setup, with juggling camera, MOC, and remote. Enjoy. ~B~

Revamp of an old MOC made in 2008 for Primus's blog contest. Which is an interesting coincidence, actually, as he just became active again to post a MOC of his own.Anyway, remade Yarrohk because the original version sat near my computer for most of his existence, and I grew tired of how bad he was. Really, the old version (seen here) was rubbish. However, I think the revamp remedies that, and actually reflects the character concept I was going for. ^Link to Gallery^ 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 He has a stand because he's meant to be an agile, lithe flyer, with little need for walking. Hence no feet, and thin little arms. Also yeah, the white background makes him rather blend in for some of the shots, but ah well. C&C welcome. ~B~

Another recent MOC, built shortly before Stoxutu. Unlike Stoxutu, however, this guy is entirely Bionicle, using the slightly greebly aesthetic Bionicle had in abundance instead of the smoother HF aesthetic. May have been partially inspired by the Space Pirates from Metroid Prime. Credit to Shine for the foot design, although his version used Bohrok eyes rather than their teeth. "His mother was right. His face did freeze like that." ^Gallery^ 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 1011 12 13 14 15 16 17 Given that this is a mech, the head is supposed to be an eternally snarling death's head, rather than a truly functioning one. The recent MOC of my latest blog entry, made over April Fools Day weekend. As I said there, it incorporates HF and Bionicle in a way that I think was pretty satisfactory. So, without much further ado, here we go! ^Link to Gallery^ 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 It's a mecha. That's fiery. And has cool chest blasters because come on who doesn't like those. The fins on its back and head dissipate heat, more or less. The Lehrak staff on the head is supposed to be a crown-like ornament as well.Also blargh this thing did not like being photographed. That last foot joint collapsed five to six times during photography. I guess it doesn't like standing on paper over carpet, because it did just fine in my room for days beforehand. Anyway, there might have been more pictures but I raged at my camera and quit. So there. Comments appreciated. ~B~
