  1. Who wants bionicle g1 back? with the old building system, continuing on where it ended
  2. Man, this is a controversial topic. During Generation 1's decade-long run, we got lots of constraction sets. Lots. And lots of them. But, for every Brutaka or Maxilos, we get an Umbra or Krekka. Today, let's take a look at some of the worst Bionicle sets, in no particular order. 1: 8625 Umbra When I first found out about this set, I thought he looked pretty cool and interestingly designed. But when I look more at the set, I realise it's quite flawed. The colour scheme is inconsistent, his 'roller blades' are just weird, and the build is a bit clunky. My opinion of this light-wielding guardian may be a bit harsh, considering it's still a mildly okay set, but in comparison to many of the other sets released that year, or the years that came before or followed it, it is quite a bad set. Not only that, but his design is lackluster. To my knowledge, there are no exclusive parts made for him, and the newest things we get out of him are a new melded Rhotuka and some recolourings. In conclusion, this set was uninspired and rushed, looking more like a MOC than an a good, solid set. 2: 8623 Krekka In the winter (summer for all you people from the Northern Hemisphere) of 2004, we moved on from the threat of the Morbuzakh and the Vahki to have more focus on the Dark Hunter duo, Nidhiki and Krekka, who were each given their own respective sets. Whilst the Nidhiki set had a solid build and a good design, the Krekka set didn't satisfy us as much as Nidhiki did. Krekka himself does have some positive things about him, them being a consistent colour scheme and an intended brute look, the cons outweighed the pros. The torso ended up being extremely clunky and bulky for a head moving function, the design is riddled with gaps, and his limbs are quite flimsy. While Krekka is still an okay set, it is mainly let down by it's lack of armour and clunky design. 3: 8912 Toa Mahri Hewkii What I am about to complain about also applies to some of the other Toa Mahri sets, but this Toa of Stone ends up being the worst. Matoro had a slightly awkward build, but still looked pretty good, and Kongu was bulky and lazily designed, but still consistent. Hewkii here doesn't really have any redeeming qualities. His build is really flimsy and weak, and the rest of his build is really awkward. Hewkii has chains again, like his Inika counterpart, which is... okay, he has a really strange mask that tries to substitute as armour, and fails at that, and he is just lazily built overall. Sorry Hewkii, not going to impress Macku. So, that's about all. Besides the Stars line, Bionicle has had a mostly bulletproof reputation when it comes to good sets, so as making this list more unique and slightly pointless. What are some of the worst set in your opinion? You probably have more bad sets on your list than I do. Let me know!
  3. Can the Great Beings wear and use Kanohi? (clearly this question is an act of desperation)
  4. The Water Among Rock "You really did put up a fight back there. I really do hope I can see you again, but I suppose you did it for countless others. You always seemed so special, from what I've heard from this small elder who calls herself Nokama." muttered Kiina. Kiina was in a large, decorated chamber, and it was filled with other Matoran, Toa, Turaga, Glatorian and Agori who came to mourn this one's leave. Most of the people mourning were gazing at the Ignika, and were sad that Mata Nui had left them, whilst some others were reading the tall, vast walls of writing that told Mata Nui's story. "I guess I'll see you soon." said Kiina. This chamber was surrounded by what was known as a Kini-Nui in the Matoran Universe, as many Agori and Matoran had gathered around the circles outside the sacred chamber. The location itself was a vast mix of many elements. Waterfalls and lakes pooled around flourishing jungles, large spikes of protodermis jutted out of mountains, and small hills of stone were scattered around a vast desert. Kiina had taken the path to Tajun, her home village before Mata Nui's life completion, but Tajun was still a functioning village. Only now they had a few more residents. Kiina had parked her Thornatus outside the chamber, and rode off to Tajun to accept any errands the elders might need help with. As she drove to her faraway village, she observed the changes that the planet of Spherus Magna had seen in the past five years. Somewhere in the rocky desert, a massive field of metal was deemed the Rahkshi Field, as hundreds of thousands of empty Rahkshi shells were spread across the dunes from when Tahu made quick work of the Makuta's sons. The Sea of Liquid Sand was no longer liquid, but was rather the main bay to a massive ocean of the planet. The Black Spike Mountains were now teeming with Onu-Matoran and vast mines rather than Skrall, an previously rare jungle was now the residence of Plantlife and Air villages, and many more things were introduced. Kiina had also heard of a gigantic fortress somewhere on the planet. She eventually arrived at Tajun, and went up to the Turaga to accept any jobs. After all, the planet had been quite peaceful after a few squabbles were settled between the worlds after about a year or so. Kiina had walked up to the Turaga's temple, and found that many other Toa of Water were gathered there. The Toa known as Gaaki, Gali and Hahli were gathered here. Even Tarix was there, even though no one had ever called him a Toa. "Wait, what are you all doing here? Unless it's another one of your stories, Nokama, why are we here?" asked Kiina. "We have a crisis in the Black Spike Mountains, apparently. And for some reason, we are called upon. Willing to join us, Kiina?" interrupted Hahli. "Well, yes. Who is causing the problem, though?" said Kiina. "Nokama says there has been an overthrow of the Onu-Matoran in the Black Spike Mountains. She thinks some rogue Dark Hunters are behind this." replied Gaaki. "We don't have to time to jump to assumptions, but we should just go if you ask me." said Hahli. "Let us go to the Black Spike Mountains, noble Toa. Quickly." said Nokama. With the Turaga's word, Kiina and Tarix once again started up their Thornatus vehicles, Gali flew away with her Adaptive Armour, and everyone else hopped on the Glatorian's vehicles. The Black Spike Mountains were quite a way's away, and took a rather long trip. When the sun of Solis Magna started to set, the Toa and Glatorian stopped at the Ice Tribe to rest. The icy mountains and settlement were about the same as they were five years ago, but not in terms of population. Most of the Ice Agori had moved away to the larger mountains and glaciers, where most of the Matoran, Toa and Turaga moved to. This mountain range gradually had it's ice melted, and it gradually became just another mountain in the Black Spike range. The company of heroes had rested in a cave just near the desert sands, but getting light wasn't too easy, as, needless to say, these warriors of water weren't very good with fire. Fortunately, Tarix always carried around a lightstone, which he was given by a Matoran called Taipu. The lightstone had a small radius of illumination, but the company gathered around it anyway. With that, the company had a chat. "Dark Hunters, eh? Wouldn't they just slavishly follow their leader? Or move to a better hiding spot? The Black Spike Mountains are bustling with Matoran and resources! Not a very good hideout." said Hahli. "The Mountains do have many caves and resources, so it could actually be an ideal Dark Hunter spot once they clear out all the Onu-Matoran. They might as well follow in the footsteps of the Skrall. They used to live there, from what I've heard." replied Gali. "You would be right. These Matoran would have added some kinks into the mountains, so that would probably attract these Hunters." said Tarix. "In case you will be wondering where I am, I'm going to scout out the mountain. Don't worry about me." stated Kiina. The mountain that was once the Ice Tribe was quite tall and expansive. But once Kiina had finally reached the summit, she looked over the landscape and saw the location that her company would soon reach - The Black Spike Mountains. The Mountains appeared to be bustling with Matoran, but this was mostly due to the large amount of huts, lights and mines. As she climbed down a little bit from the summit, she squinted her eyes and scanned the area. Then, she saw what seemed to be a hulking brute with four arms, who was walking behind a imposing, armoured figure. She didn't recognise it, so she climbed back down to the camp and notified the company. "Excuse me, but we have some activity in the Black Spikes. There seems to be a big shell with four arms accompanying a rather menacing figure. Have any idea how this might be?" asked Kiina. "Nokama was right. There are Dark Hunters in the Black Spike Mountains. This 'big shell' is The Shadowed One's main bodyguard. But from what I've heard, this brute was sent to Voya Nui to find the Piraka. It's quite unlikely that he has found his way back to his master though." said Hahli. "May be, Hahli. With that, I guess we won't have time for resting. Let's go find these Hunters." replied Gaaki. After Gaaki's word of action, the company were off to the Mountains in a few seconds. Tarix and Kiina started up their Thornatus vehicles, Hahli and Gaaki hopped on, and before Gali soared away, she said: "I'm going to scout out the area. If there's any trouble, you'll hear flash floods." "Ugh. Wish I had jetpack armour..." groaned Kiina. A quick trip to the Black Spike Mountains followed, and Kiina rushed foward in front of Tarix's vehicle, and without a word, smirked at Tarix. Right as she parked her Thornatus, however, a bolt of energy had struck the ground, previously on a course for the vehicle. Kiina had managed to quickly swerve the Thornatus away. Another energy bolt was launched at the Thornatus, which was similarly dodged, until another was on an exact course for the vehicle, and Kiina shouted at her passenger to exit the Thornatus. It turns out exiting the vehicle was a good idea, as once the bolt of energy had struck the Thornatus, it was engulfed in energy, and dematerialised. Gaaki lay in the sand and saw the diminishing Thornatus, and knew exactly what this was. A Dematerialisation Rhotuka. With this realisation, Gaaki shouted: "Tarix! Hahli! Get off your vehicles! Now! Dematerialisation Rhotuka!" Confused, Tarix jumped out of the driver's seat anyway, but Hahli was aware of this threat, and promptly jumped onto the sand. Hahli quickly scanned the rocks above, and saw what Kiina had vaguely described. A big shell with four arms. Except now, she saw it was yellow, had several weapons in it's hands, and stood rather tall. It was Sentrakh. With the Dark Hunter in sight, Gaaki charged up her Tidal Spear, and hit Sentrakh with a powerful torrent of water. Suddenly, Gaaki's Mask of Clairvoyance activated, without any intent from Gaaki. In the resulting vision, she saw herself fighting against strange Dark Hunters, coming in the forms of fusions, mutations, and beast-like beings. Also in the vision, she saw a massive wave flooding the tunnels, destroying all light. Intrigued, Gaaki wanted to know more, but the vision abruptly stopped. She snapped back to her senses, and went into the Black Spike Mountains to catch up with the rest of the company. Meanwhile, Gali had landed on the sharp peak of a nearby spike to make her job of scouting out a bit more secretive. She looked into the Mountains, and saw an odd clawed Dark Hunter pacing around an entrance, guarding it from intruders. "Looks like I'm going to catch a guard off-guard..." whispered Gali. She aimed her Nynrah Ghostblaster at the guard, setting it to the lowest level, and silently fired at the Hunter. The Hunter fell down from the shock, and fell unconscious. With the guard out of the way, she covertly flew into the fortress and looked around. There were very few guards around the other entrances, and actually not very many in the Black Spike Mountains. Gali flew back up to the top of the mountains, and saw a rather large group of Dark Hunters leading a charge against what seemed to be the rest of the Toa. With this sight, she flew in closer and starting creating a flood. Hahli had walked up a dune and saw the charging of Dark Hunters, and prepared to fight. Gaaki charged up her Rhotuka, Kiina powered up her weapon, and Tarix got into a defense position. Once the Dark Hunters had just about reached the Toa, an intense amount of Water energy was fired at the oncoming enemy. Water had defeated many of the Hunters, and were overwhelmed by the power of the waves. However, some of the Hunters stood, not at all wavered. Firedracax, in particular had a firm grip on his staff, as he heated any of the water being fired at him into steam in an instant. "Alright, maybe we should have brought along a Toa of Ice. We can't douse this fiery Hunter..." said Kiina. "Maybe we can!" shouted Gali from a distance. Maybe the Toa Nuva could. The flood she created was indeed huge, rivaled only by a Nova Blast. The wave had rushed out of the mountains in seconds, and the intense force made any surrounding spikes collapse from the loss of support. As it came down on Firedracax, he yet again focused his Fire powers to turn the flood into steam. He used his power with immense effort, until his Fire powers slightly diminished from the use, allowing the waves to crash down on him. "Impressive, Gali. Maybe we're fine against Fire after all." said Gaaki. "We might be. But The Shadowed One is still in that fortress, and that army we just saw couldn't be all of the Dark Hunters he has." replied Gali. "Okay, keep unleashing floods if you want, but we still have Onu-Matoran to save, right? We might want to prioritise here." queried Kiina. "Well, we've got to get The Shadowed One out of the mountains. It would be essential to do that first, don't you think?" said Hahli. "Alright... let's get this shadowed guy out of here." mumbled Kiina. The company then went inside the Black Spike Mountains to meet The Shadowed One, and fought the occasional guard among the entrances. Kiina and Tarix, however, were not accompanying the rest. They were looking around the vast caves that the Onu-Matoran left when they were living in the mountains, hoping to find the presumably captured Matoran. Most of the searches yielding nothing, as they were mainly abandoned mines. But during the search of yet another cave, they saw something rather interesting. A Toa of Earth in a stasis tube. "What's he doing here? Wouldn't they just kill him? said Tarix confusingly. "I'm not sure. Maybe holding him for ransom?" replied Kiina. The two looked around the chamber a little more, they saw a Dark Hunter guard, and quickly hid behind a wall. However this was useless. The Dark Hunter called "Dweller" had seen the two looking at the stasis field, and tracked them down. He proceeded to destroy the wall next to them, revealing the two to him. "Ahhh... so there you are. Like mental blasts?" said Dweller. "Dweller" had focused his mental blast into Kiina, sending her reeling to the back wall, screaming in pain. Before "Dweller" was able to kill her, Tarix quickly slashed at his armour and claws, destroying his claws and damaging his armour. This was enough to distract him, and Tarix managed to pick him up and throw him into another empty stasis tube, keeping him in suspended animation. "Uggghh... that really hurt. That could have killed me..." mumbled Kiina, trying to recover. "It didn't this time. We would want to get this Toa of Earth out, but how? He's in a stasis field." said Tarix. "Ummm... smash it? said Kiina. After Kiina had mentioned smashing the tube, she did indeed smash it. With a quick slice of the glass that held the Toa, the Toa fell down limply, and started breathing again. He stood up, and was confused about why he was here. "Hello there, Toa of Earth. Who are you? Do you know why you're here?" asked Kiina. "My name is Toa Nuparu. And I was in the Black Spike Mountains, but I'm here now for some reason." replied Nuparu. "We'll find out soon, I suppose. For now, you can help us. By the way. I'm Tarix." he said. "Well, Tarix, what's the problem?" said Nuparu. "I'll answer that. The Dark Hunters have taken over the Black Spike Mountains, and we currently leading a charge against "The Shadowed One" along with some other Toa. Will you help us?" said Kiina. "Dark Hunters? Toa? Taking over? I'll certainly help." responded Nuparu. The three then went back up the stairs and back on the surface, where they ran along a tunnel, presumably leading to another chamber. Nuparu had led the way, as he was inhabiting the Black Spike Mountains prior to his capture, and he knew the tunnels and the way around quite well. This eventually led them to the rest of the Toa, who were fighting against a few more Dark Hunters in a hallway outside of a conference room. The Toa were struggling to fight a powerful four-legged Dark Hunter and Sentrakh. This fight was interrupted when Nuparu shot up two stalagmites in front of the Hunters, and encased them in a thick coat of rock. He then proceeded to throw them across the room. "Nuparu! Where have you been?!" asked Hahli. "Well... I've been a protector of the Onu-Matoran here, but I soon woke up in a stasis tube." replied Nuparu.
  5. Forged from a few years of refinements and rebuilds, this is my definition of The Marendar. Full Album + History: http://imgur.com/a/pS5Gg In the G1 lore, Marendar was a unique creation of the Great Beings. It was created as a safeguard against the Toa, should any of them go rogue against the Agori, or even the Matoran and Mata Nui. Sealed within a metallic Protodermis cage, he was finally released following Makuta Teridax’s defeat. However beyond this, we know nothing as the Bionicle G1 story ended shortly after. The model stands at about 40 CM tall, depending on how much grip his legs can get, weighs about one and a half kilos, and consists of an estimated 1200+ pieces, including the Fission Harpoon he wields.
  6. Well, almost immediately after I bought Kopaka and the Protector of Earth at the start of the year, I began making Mocs of them. I didn't have too many parts, so they were fairly simple. Later on in march when I got Gali and Tahu, an idea struck me. What if I made Mocs of Gen 1 characters? I made a large Visorak with a spinner, Gen 1 Toa besides the Mata/Nuva, a failed attempt at a Bohrok and eventually a Rahkshi. Unfortunately, all of my photos were saved on my school computer which was wiped at the end of the year. However, I now have nearly all of the Bionicle 2015 sets, expect for a two of the protectors, the four skull villains and Lewa. With the parts, I rebuilt Rahkshi better than before, and with my expanded parts selection, I was able to make four Rahkshi. I hope you enjoy the bios and Mocs. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- On our island of Okoto, strange creatures displaying higher intelligence and abilities than most wild beast have been spotted recently. I have devoted my time to studying them since their arrival. They are reptilian in appearance, with spikes on their backs and an armor-like shell. They appear to have some powers, but not on the same level of our heroic Toa. These beasts call themselves "Rahkshi" and appear peaceful, but their presence combined with their power seems to suggest otherwise. Hailing from a faraway island, the Rahskhi are a species hundreds of millennia old. Through time, they have evolved and changed and developed into a species far different from their original form. I managed to befriend one of them, a large red and black male who goes by the name of Xurahk. He is a Rahkshi scholar and has gladly shared his repertoire of history and information with me. It is only fair that I share this information with the readers of this report, as it will be a boost to your appreciation of the subject. Long ago, the Rahkshi were created by a mysterious brotherhood as soldiers and guards. Each Rahkshi had a special power, such as insect control, quick healing or disintegration. The Rahkshi were adept at using these powers in conjunction with the strength and size to achieve whatever goal the brotherhood bestowed upon them. One member of the brotherhood eventually took control forcefully and brought darkness to their whole universe. He went about killing the group's dissenters, but a small band of them used an artifact to travel to our world. They began a new life with their Rahkshi, but eventually died off leaving the Rahkshi in control of the island they had landed on. The Rahkshi began to change physically and mentally soon afterward, or so the story goes. Their strange anatomy became more organic and more alive. They became capable of reproduction, and started a civilization of their own. As time went on, some things were lost to them. Their powers were weakened, and the large build that had been so common was now a rarity. But in spite of these losses, they gained something much better in return- a mind capable of logic and reason like our own. They progressed forward making advances we Okotans have yet to dream of. At the peak of Okotan civilization, our ancestors lived in harmony and made many wonders we have yet to replicate. As we all know, Makuta betrayed Ekimu and the island fell into chaos. The Rahkshi had no such incident. They continued to progress but began to wonder what lay beyond the ocean surrounding their home. Only recently did any Rahkshi have the bravery to attempt to cross it, and they discovered our homeland during their adventures. Most of the islanders are very suspicious of them, but they agreed to let the Rahkshi be here as long as they gave us knowledge and technology. With the Toa on their suicide mission to awaken Ekimu, we feared that we might be in need of assistance once more. I have met four Rahkshi personally so far. In the few weeks they have been here, I have learned so many new things. Laws of motion, why things fall down, the weather and more have all been revealed to me. This newfound knowledge is priceless, but I hope that by introducing these four to you I can help build our relations for a prosperous future. 1. Lu'wrahk Lu'whrak is a female Rahkshi of Disintegration. She is fairly friendly but fierce nonetheless. Lu'whrak lives life without worry, knowing that if she gets herself in danger she can easily find her way out. An honorable fighter in combat and a kind friend in peace, she is one of the more amiable Rahkshi on the island. Pose Pose 2 Back Standing 2. Hapurahk Hapurahk has gotten the short end of the stick his whole life. He was born with a misshapen back and with a missing eye. Thanks to the amazing technology of their homeland, he was given a mechanical eye but his back still retained its strange shape. His colors- white and gold- corresponded to no known Rahkshi power, but he eventually found that he had the power of Weather Control. Sadly, he has less control over his power than one of the level 1 Rahkshi of ancient times. Hapurahk has an indomitable will and a desire to make things better for himself or others through any means. He is an extremely skilled warrior with his swords and has yet to lose a match. Winning matches give him hope that maybe someday he will turn his life around for good. He hopes to do just that on Okoto. Pose Side Back Standing 3. Zohrahk Even among the Rahkshi of our time, who are considered small compared to their past forms, Zohrahk is very short. She is a little bit taller than the Protectors, and much more fearsome. Her spines are small and curved, but what makes here truly unique are the horn-like protrusions on her head. She refuses to divulge whether they are natural or just something she wears for intimidation. A master of stealth, she is the most aggressive of the four Rahkshi I have met. She is an expert at dealing extreme amounts of attacks in a short period of time. Her double-ended staff is similar to the ones used by the old Rahkshi. I have seen her use the staff to vault into the air and unleash rapid attacks on her opponents. Most of the other Rahkshi dislike her for her aggressiveness, but she can be friendly at times. Pose Side Back Standing 4. Xurahk The final Rahkshi I list here, Xurahk appears imposing at first, but he is actually a renowned and kindly scholar. His size is rare among modern Rahkshi, and is comparable to that of the old ones. He carries a large axe and shield for defense, but does not engage in combat. He only fights if he needs to and spends most of his time reading, learning and discovering. Xurahk is the most friendly to me, and I consider him a friend. He has taught me much of the science and history of his species, and I have done the same in return. Our meeting has been peaceful and beneficial to all, as it usually is when two scholars meet. Pose Back Standing I hope this guide been informative and helpful to all. May this knowledge be passed down for generations to come. Finally, I present you with a picture that should have been much easier to take- I gathered all four of these Rahkshi together and used their "camera" to "photograph" them. Yes, this is the same device I used to "photograph" their individual pictures. Thank you very much for reading this guide, and leave comments and criticism for my improvement as a scholar. Together!
  7. ******WARNING-LONG POST ALERT****** Now before I start, I would just like to say that I know not everybody wants the two generations merged, and that’s fine. I however, loved how intricate the initial storyline was and this new basic Generation 2 storyline pales in comparison so far. I also apologize if this idea has been proposed before, and if it was, I did not intend to steal this idea and claim it as my own. I just figured that merging the continuities would be a fun challenge and as such, here is how I’d do it, thus allowing for a soft reboot for the kids of today, but allowing the older fans to still have a connection to the story and characters they grew up with and loved. Starting off, let us begin with where we left off in Generation 1, a cliff hanger on all fronts of the story. From what we know about Generation 2, it’s more or less a clean slate, but this could simply be due to lack of information. Let’s assume that an unspecified amount of time has passed between Generation 1 and Generation 2. Not a lot, but enough to conclude the cliff hangers left from the serials a few years ago. (An example would be, and while we don’t know how it will occur, that Lewa eventually escaped captivity from the Bota Maga, learned Agori and regrouped with his team) Now you may be saying works so far, or maybe this is taking too much liberty and is too fan fiction-y already. I do not know. Despite this, we will begin with the premise of Generation 2 and begin to merge it with Generation 1. Generation 1 left us with everybody on Spherus Magna, and for the most part, happily. The Mata Nui robot was scattered across the planet, and that is all we know of what happened to it for the most part. This brings us to the new Island of Okoto. (May it be noted that this new generation has simplified the names and or eliminated them all together) Looking at a map of Okoto and Artakha, they are not too dissimilar. My idea proposes that the island of Okoto and Artakha are actually one and the same. The island itself was named after the being Artakha himself, this having been stated. Something else that has popped into my thoughts was that what if the island of Artakha was simply named Artakha by outsiders? The city/island was closed off for how many years after the incident with the Makuta. Besides recently the Toa Nuva being there, nobody knows what it looks like or even knows much about it period. Who is to argue that its real name, known only to its residents, was actually ...Okoto. Following this, during the events of 2010 with the Mata Nui Robot falling to the ground, in the mayhem, and this is where some people may jump off board of my theory, what if Makuta in his last act before falling, managed to remove the mask of creation from Artakha in some fashion, and it subsequently got lost in the city itself during these events. Fearing for his life as well as everybody else’s, Artakha was forced to flee his island and escape to Spherus Magna, without his mask, and sadly, some residents of his city. So, where does Ekimu fit into this theory? Taking a page from Marvel with Thor and Mjölnir, as well as the fact that we never knew much about Artakha in the first place, what if wearing the mask of creation simply creates the being Artakha, such as how one who wields Thor’s hammer subsequently becomes Thor? What if Ekimu, a matoran/villager/agori/something, had become Artakha when he was rewarded the mask all those years ago. Having lost it, he simply reverted back to being Ekimu. As mentioned, some matoran/villagers (Using Generation 2 vocabulary) were trapped and did not escape the robot, and as always , divided themselves based upon elements an continued to live as best they could in this newly rejuvenated Artakha/Okoto . (This would be thanks to either the mask of creation or the mask of life, or even both) Eventually, on Spherus Magna, the Ignika at some point either devolved the rest of the Toa Nuva, or evolved Tahu again, and due to their adaptive armor, they now look the way they do. At some point and by somebody, they were tasked to go back into the robot to the mask maker’s city, where Teridax, having unbeknownst to everybody, actually fell into a coma like the new Generation 2 story depicts. As for our heroes, canister travel is nothing new, nor forgettable, or is it…? The Toa Nuva, once again, suffered amnesia upon arrival, but subconsciously still knew that their mission was to collect their new adaptive golden Kanohi Nuva (That Artakha had been working on before the events of 2010), as well as collecting the mask of creation and saving the Matoran/Villagers. Teridax, still being alive, used his powers to raise his army of undead warriors under Kulta’s command, and control the king of skull spiders, and set them upon our beloved Toa Nuva, thus bringing us to where the story currently is at on BIONICLE.Com This is just a theory, but I hope you all enjoyed it. If this is in the wrong thread, I apologize, please move it. Also, if this theory has been proposed by somebody else, feel free to speak up and take credit for being first to think of this. Otherwise, tell me what you guys think. Did I forget anything you’d like to add? Did I dig any plot holes that I may fall into? Thanks for reading!
  8. I was re-reading some of the story serials today and it got me wondering, what other areas of the Bionicle storyline do you wish got its own serial? I always loved that we got to explore the secondary stories in these, what was going on elsewhere alongside the main story being told in the comics and books. Personally, I would have loved a serial focussing on the Turaga during the Dark Time on Mata-Nui. It could explore how they adapted to lives as leaders of the Matoran rather than their protectors, the formation of the Koro, the Kraata hunts etc. What little explored aspect of the story would you want a serial of?
  9. Through Bionicle's decade-long run, we received four movies, each covering most of their respective years. But there were some years with such great potential that should have gotten a movie adaptation. Now, which year would be the most worthy for a film?
  10. Look, Bionicle for 2015 has some "Questionable" differences from gen 1 so lets all come together not to hate but to look at some of the new things and pet peeves we may have on the new gen of Bionicle good or bad. Good: Mask designs Bad: Mask names (Seriously Lego, Mask of jungle? I thought it was Miru!)
  11. As a pure genwunner who is against this idea of a 100% reboot, obviously I yearn for more Gen 1 elements in Gen 2 Bionicle. But what's to say it won't happen? LEGO stated in their meeting in BZPower's video that they wanted to dumb down the names so younger fans can more easily understand, meaning species like Matoran, Skakdi, Vortixx and Skrall are no more. But there are a few elements of Gen 1 that can still work despite this: Dark Hunters The ultimate example of Gen 1 elements that can transition seamlessly into Gen 2 are the Dark Hunters. The name "Dark Hunters" is perfect for the new naming system used in Gen 2 Bionicle, the name "The Shadowed One" is both mysterious and fitting for Gen 2, and nearly all Dark Hunters have English code names (though there's no way we'll see Gen 1 characters that don't, such as Triglax and Lariska). When I was hoping for a continuation, I argued that The Shadowed One would be the perfect new main villain because of his hidden name, and his organisation, and I can see both returning in Gen 2 Bionicle as alternate villains. Bionicle has had alternate villains before and lasted 9 years doing so (Dark Hunters, Barraki, Skrall), and other successful franchises had multiple main villains (eg. Batman had the Joker and the Riddler, and Spiderman had Goblin and Doc Oc), so why not do it again now? Great Beings The Great Beings could be deities or demigods (or even Gods) in Gen 2 Bionicle. In fact I feel Ekimu and Makuta could be Great Beings. Okay, so Gen 1 Great Beings can't wear masks, but what's stopping Gen 2 Great Beings (if they exist) from being able to do so? Remember, this is a reboot, so LEGO can easily redesign the Great Beings as they see fit. Great Spirits Again with the idea of redesigning past elements, Gen 2 Bionicle could have Gods known as Great Spirits who could be worshipped as Mata Nui was (and be actual spirits rather than 40,000,000' tall robots).
  12. Can the Great Beings wear and use Kanohi? (clearly this question is an act of desperation)
