  1. What if the baraki squid comes with eight colored breeds? This should of make the barraki uniqueer than ever... However I'm not stupid when it comes to originality and tradition at the same time. To my suggestion each baracki should've gotten different squid breeds Kalmah = yellow Carapar = green Pridak = black Ehlek = purple Takadox = red Mantax = blue ??? = Trans-white\glowinadark ??? = Silver any more suggestions??
  2. simple visorak for my reboot this time body articulation and the rhotuka are glowing colored this time. using method of the barraki mandible and pressing down the head makes the jaws pince together sadlly i cant fit the pully in the model, still with articulation it will work. rhotuka wiill be florescent & glow in a dark in different colors, and it will be many more rhotuka powers. it should have been a main monsters of 2017 visorak instructions.zip
  3. What goes up must eventually come down. But like a phoenix from the ashes, that which falls can sometimes rise again. Discussion Topic Discord Server The Story: Welcome to Skyrise: Ascent. In this world, after defeating Makuta, Mata Nui was unable to restore Spherus Magna to its former glory, and the Mask of Life was lost in the chaos that followed. Without the mask’s energies to properly repair it, the newly-reformed planet became unstable, prone to earthquakes and floods, the decades of natural disasters drastically reshaping the landscape and decimating many of the existing population centres. Over a period of several hundred years, Bara Magna was transformed into a maze of plateaus and canyons, with the seas of sand at the bottom being ruled by rabid bands of Zesk, Vorox, and vicious Rahi. In the process, Marendar was unleashed, wiping out the few Toa who remained before presumably being destroyed. The sentient races that were left made their homes atop the sturdiest of the rock formations, further reinforced by the efforts of friendly Skakdi and other powered beings. On the less secure plateaus, criminals and other outcasts still cling to life in settlements of their own, living in constant fear of the next tremor being the one to spell their doom. Two years ago, a war broke out between the settlements of New Atero and Fe, with New Atero constructing terrain crawlers and striders to covertly assault the aeronautically-superior Fe from below. While this attack seemed, at first, to be unprovoked, it was eventually revealed that the government of New Atero was being manipulated by Tuma, whose sole intent was to emancipate the hundreds of Skrall being worked to death as slave labour in the mines of Fe. With all of their defences pointed skywards, Fe was taken by surprise, and though they were they had the technological advantage, their people weren’t as battle-hardened as those of New Atero, and were gradually overwhelmed. In the face of imminent defeat, Fe’s ruling council threatened to unleash a horde of trapped Baterra upon the wasteland. The attackers were left with no choice but to destroy Fe, detonating the settlement’s stockpiles of ammunition, weapons, and machinery. The surviving citizens either took to piracy, or assimilated into the other settlements. In the years since, an unsteady peace has settled over the Wasteland. While most of those within the remaining settlements are content in their uneventful lives, toiling each day to ensure there’s enough food and resources to go around, there are those tasked with travelling between settlements to bear news, ferry resources, and most importantly, keep the peace. It is into these roles that players will be stepping, captaining airships or piloting scout craft across the hostile surface of the new Great Barren. Locations: The new Bara Magna is a dangerous, desolate place, with the various permanent settlements serving as the only real safe havens. (Map) Note that there are certain marks and notes on the map that do not appear in the list below. These have been included for player reference, but are currently not common knowledge to characters in-game. Tesara – Sitting astride a singular pillar of earth and stone in the centre of an immense crater, the roots of this jungle village’s immense trees have withstood the test of time, and have held it together for untold decades. The Tesara plateau is overgrown with vegetation, and is even home to a small population of various rahi species, suitable for use as livestock or even pets. Tesara supplies most of the Great Barren’s food, and maintains long-standing trade deals with the other settlements. Tesara is undoubtedly the most open and accepting of all the settlements, although there are some who would argue that they’re too trusting, a trait that was used against them to some extent during the war, which has led to lasting tensions. Tesara is ruled by a triumvirate of elected officials. New Atero – Originally little more than a shanty town built up at the foot of the remains of the fallen Great Spirit Robot, New Atero has endured the disasters that have lashed the planet, and coalesced into a singular, colossal fortress. Being in fairly close proximity to a freshwater lake and the open ocean, they’re becoming increasingly self-reliant, their more militant nature leading many to distrust and fear them. New Atero’s surrounding are strewn with shattered metal and rocky outcroppings, dotted with watchtowers and turrets. New Atero is currently suffering civil strife, with a newly-formed parliament struggling to soothe tensions within the different factions among the populace. Fe – Once the technological powerhouse of the Great Barren, this settlement was reduced to rubble in the war. While many of the survivors were able to assimilate into other settlements, the actions of Fe’s leadership before and during the war have led to many of these survivors being treated with suspicion and disdain. Cliffside – A precarious shamble of random structures with no coherent order or organisation, this is where the outcasts and rogues flock together for survival. Scattered across a number of small plateaus spanned by constantly-collapsing bridges, this village has no government or law enforcement, and is dominated instead by mob rule. Its populace is too small in number to pose a true threat to any of the major settlements, while simultaneously being too big to be easily destroyed, and as such this pirate port continues its uncertain existence, its citizens stealing or bartering for what they need. Aqua Magna – Volcanic eruptions and earthquakes have turned the oceans foul and polluted, with only the strongest, most vicious of creatures still able to thrive there. Despite this, the beasts that dwell there make for good eating, for those who have the means and the skill to hunt them. Rumours abound of ancient treasures and old-world artefacts being located somewhere in the depths, although the equipment to pursue such rumours is costly, and difficult to come by. Expeditions have attempted to search for lands beyond the shores, but none have ever returned. The Arena – No one is entirely sure who built this place, or when, or why, only that it is hewn from some seemingly indestructible stone, the strongest of earthquakes and most powerful of Kanoka alike having no effect on this mysterious structure. Given its proximity to The Chasm, most beings chose to avoid it entirely, but it is still occasionally used for trade meetings or impromptu tournaments. On some nights, a beacon issues skywards from a dais in the arena’s centre, though none have yet figured out to enable whatever mechanism the dais is intended to activate. The Chasm – While the planet slowly shook itself apart, the colossal corpse of the Matoran Universe remained where it lay, sprawled across the fragmented canyons. That was, until Marendar did battle with the last remaining Toa atop the long dead machine, and the ground gaped open like a hungry maw, swallowing the entirety of the Great Spirit Robot into the darkened depths. The resulting chasm’s edges still glow with unseen heat, frequently belching fetid smog into the air, and every now and again some kind of horrendously mutated rahi crawls up from below. Those who’ve attempted to explore what lies below have never returned. At least, not with their sanity intact. Aircraft: Travel between settlements, aerial combat, and scouting is accomplished using various vehicles, reverse-engineered from technology that was salvaged from Karda Nui before the evacuation of the Matoran Universe. In addition to these uses, it is strongly encouraged by the rulers of the settlements that those who feel the need for violence to take their altercations away from where innocent people can be caught in the crossfire, and fight their battles in the skies instead. Please note, each character is only allowed to have a single vessel/vehicle. Airships - Utilising a complicated system of levitation and weight increase Kanoka, each of the airships is controlled by pulleys that cause either the levitation or the weight increase Kanoka Disks to strike the Airship's framework, forcing the Airship to rise or fall. A modified version of a transport Chute, capped at both ends, is built into the back of the Airship, providing forward thrust by letting a small portion of pressurised air jet out from the back. These vessels are usually slow and unarmed, but often come equipped with a small number of Cargo Haulers to make the task of transferring goods easier. There are no set limits for what players can and can’t include in an airship, but please exercise common sense. Airships are already slow and heavy, so tacking on a whole heap of armour or weapons, for example, is going to weigh you down even more. Likewise, if you wanted to use your airship to carry a crew of other players and serve as a hangar for their aircraft, there won’t be much room left for any other special additions. Jetpacks - utilised solely by smaller races, these are simple, sturdy devices. With in-built parachutes and enough energy to stay airborne for several days, they can get up a decent amount of speed, and depending on the skill of the user, can be highly manoeuvrable. These are equipped with a built-in parachute, and have no proper weapon or customisation slots. However, they do double as backpacks, being able to store extra fuel, equipment, weapons, etc., so that the wearer is able to keep their hands free. Skyfighters - again only able to be used by the smaller species, these speedy, agile fighters are equipped with a single weapon. It is worth noting, however, that while these glorified gliders are able to stay airborne for much longer than most other craft, they’re far from the most versatile of aircraft, and a few well-placed shots in the right place could easily knock them out of the sky. (Pilot teleportation, 1 weapon slots, 1 customisation slot). Rockoh - used primarily by many of the larger races, these stocky, heavily armoured craft are equipped with enhanced engines, capable of putting on incredible, albeit brief, bursts of speed in order to ram targets. As well as their characteristic rams, these craft are usually equipped with two weapons. (Pilot teleportation, 2 weapon slots, 2 customisation slots). Jetrax - the perfect midpoint between speed, agility and firepower, these craft are also used by most of the larger races. Capable of carrying three weapons, the Jetrax model’s most noteworthy vulnerabilities are its two bulky wing-mounted engines. In addition, although most of the vehicle is armoured, the cockpit is not, leaving the pilot somewhat exposed. (Pilot teleportation, 3 weapon slots, 2 customisation slots). Axalara - the biggest and heaviest of the vehicles in the fleet, it’s not as fast or agile as the Jetrax, but is much more heavily armoured. It can carry only two weapons, as its primary purpose is to serve as a bomber, deploying explosives from a hatch underneath to drop onto targets. This aircraft’s main drawback is that its pilot is left even more exposed than that of a Jetrax. (Pilot teleportation, 2 weapon slots, 2 customisation slots, 1 bomb bay). With the exception of jetpacks and airships, which carry parachutes, all vehicles are equipped with teleportation devices that will automatically transport their pilots safely to the nearest stable surface if their aircraft is destroyed, or they’re severely injured. This system is in place to prevent the rampant murdering of PCs, and hopefully stop people from godmodding in order to save their characters from what would otherwise be inescapable deaths. All aircraft share a default cruising speed, which allows them to travel between any of the main settlements within 3-4 hours. While airships and jetpacks cannot accelerate much beyond this cruising speed, most other aircraft can make this trip in roughly half the time, making them ideal for use as messengers or scouts. The crew and pilots of airships, jetpacks, and skyfighters are still able to access their powers and use powered weapons. However, the unique energies that power larger aircraft (Axalara, Rockoh, Jetrax) also render the pilots unable to use any powers or powered weapons they might have, forcing them to rely solely on their vehicle’s capabilities. After the fall of Fe, the means to create new aircraft was shared with all three of the remaining settlements, with advances in development allowing for new innovations in regards to customisation and capabilities. New or replacement aircraft, as well as upgrades to existing ones, can be obtained from staff NPCs such as settlement leaders, usually in exchange for favours or as a reward for some kind of special quest or mission. Rules: Please use IC (in character) and OOC (out of character) tags in your posts. OOC-only posts should be limited solely to the discussion topic. This is a pet peeve of mine, but please put both your character’s name and their location in your posts. It’s confusing for other players seeking interaction, otherwise, especially in an open-world game such as this one. No god-modding, metagaming, fightbotting, autohitting, etc. In general, play fair. Please be considerate of other players, and recognise the distinction between OOC and IC. If someone’s character kills/injures/dislikes one of your characters, it doesn’t mean that their player has a personal problem with you. Most importantly, have fun. _____________________________________________________________________________________ Note: This is not an April Fool’s joke, and permission has been gained from site staff to restart this game:
  4. So I've been toying around with this concept for a Robo-riders reboot, and I wanted to post it to see what people think of it: Aesthetic: Post-Apocalypse dieselpunk for the heroes and slightly organic cyborgs for the bad guys. Sets: Standard lego pieces focused on oversized motor-cycle like vehicles for the heroes and monster/vehicle hybrids of the bad guys. Setting: the world of Talos is cursed; every 115 or so years the dreaded 'Virus' returns from the depths of the earth and ravage the world; twisting people and creatures into mutants and monsters, poisoning the air and waters, and animating natural features and artificial constructs into abominations. To combat this, the ancients created four beacons scattered through the land, when the beacons are lit the Virus is banished from the surface and retreats to it's cthonic sanctuary. The beacons were hidden to avoid the mutant hordes of the Virus destroying them; only their four switches can be found and then only with help of the Robo's machine spirits that each know the location of one switch. Each cycle has six heroes chosen, the 'RoboRiders', with different element powers and able to infuse the robos in machines to acts as focuses for the Robo's and RoboRider's combined powers. The current year is 527 of the City of Victoria, and the current team of RoboRiders start their quest to light the four beacons and drive back the virus. Their adventure will involve crossing the know world looking for the missing Robos and lighting the beacons; all the time being chased by the mutants and monsters spawned by the Virus and having to fight them off in Mad Max style vehicle combat. However two complications have occurred in their quest; a mysterious seven RoboRider has also appeared and seems to be trying to take down the current RoboRiders so that he alone can light the beacons; and one of the current RoboRiders is a cured mutant (something thought impossible by most people) who has glimpses of the Core of the Virus, which could now be defeated once and for all, and that ancient evil will not permit this threat to it's existance. Characters: Factions: Victoria: city founded by the leader of a past team of RoboRiders, Minerva Victorio, who was active around 530-527 years before the current team. Tend to serve as a base for the RoboRiders and a stronghold of civilization in these dark times. Has a central position on the known landmass of Talos, and is the most technological advanced city, producing finished goods and power crystals to sell to nomads and other cities. The RoboRider Galvani Victorio is from Victoria. RoboRiders: team of elemental powered heroes that can use the Robos to empower machines; their mission is to like the 4 beacons of North, East, South and West. Current team made of Galvani Victorio, Rufus and Alba Feynman, Zoey MacMidas, Sha Rakis and Vizuna. They are helped by the Robos, 16 ancient machine spirits that each know the location of one of the switches to turn on the four beacons. All current and past RoboRiders are revealed by an incident when their elemental powers are rapidly developed to protect them; for example Rufus fell into a pool of magma and crawled out without taking any damage from the heat. Nomadic Tribes: Tribes that cross the vast plains and deserts of Talos looking for scrap and ruins from lost cities destroyed by past attacks of the Virus. Tend to also animal herders and traders. Have lower levels of technology than the city states, but occasionally have very advanced ancient technology that they scavenged. Rufus and Alba Feynman come from one scientifically focused nomadic tribe and Sha Rakis is from a different desert based tribe. City States: Small city states, some having colonies, that have arisen between Virus attacks. Tend to be focused on a major resource and use merchants to trade. Zoey MacMidas was born in the city of Werner. Sorcerers and Druids Covens: Small covens of magically adept individuals, they have less power than Mutant Warlocks or the RoboRiders but still capable in their own ways (such as being able to locate hidden objects, immunity to the Virus, making healing potion or place curses on evil doers). They seperate themselves from the rest of society and their covens tend to focus around sites of elemental importance; such as shrines dedicated to the past RoboRiders or naturally elemental wonders like the World Tree. Tend to be allies of the RoboRiders but the prominent Ogel familiy seems less willing to help. Virus: an ancient evil that nearly destroyed the world in ancient times. It corrupts people, animals and inanimate objects. People become mutants, twisted beings with most of their good emotions (hope, compassion, trust, etc.) removed and only interested in spreading the virus and crushing all resistance; the most powerful mutants are called Warlocks, who control the Virus' mutation process to turn animals and objects into monsterous vehicles called abominations. Mutants are divided into raiding bands/primitive tribes based on similar mutations and these tribes compete with each other in seeing how much they can spread the Virus and thus corrupt the world, one example is the Harrowing Hawks tribe, who all had functional wings and parts of the body covered in leaves. Vizuna used to be a mutant, but she was latter cured. RoboRiders: Galvani "Van" Victorio - the Power RoboRider - an engineering noble from the power district of the city of Victoria, being a descendant of the city's founder (Minerva Victorio). He is the team leader (by the fact no-one else wanted the position), but has a lot of self doubt in the situation and either takes on too much work for himself or takes on any advice on how to lead, no matter how useless or ill intentioned. However he is a good leader when he doesn't listen to his doubts, along with being brave, loyal and charismatic. Van has the least control of his elemental powers, but has the largest pool of elemental energy and modifies his machines so that he can power them with his Electricity powers. Rufus Feynman - the Lava RoboRider - a member of a tribe of nomadic scientists and twin brother of Alba Feynman. He was crippled in a childhood accident, requiring him to use a wheel chair to move around. However the incident also revealed his fire powers as he survived falling into a pool of magma, and it was his hitting the bottom of it caused his spinal image. Rufus is a talented scientist and engineering, being intelligent, insightful and able to pick up on details; This all allows him all massive level of control with his elemental power, allowing it to be used as blow torch or welding torch. However he is too cautious and overly protective of his team mates. Alba Feynman - the Frost RoboRider - a member of a tribe of nomadic scientists and twin sister of Rufus Feynman. She is energetic and passionate, but is still a brilliant scientist; she tends to design multiple experiments every day and coming up with multiple hypothesis for any new problem the team face. Her elemental power of Ice is less developed than her brother's power, but she is more creative and spontaneous, leading to unpredictable results for her enemies to deal with. Zoey MacMidas - the Onyx RoboRider - born as to an outcast family in the city of Werner that had no claim to a mine shaft. After she lost her parents, Zoey had to make her own way in the world; she surprisingly excelled as a business woman, and eventually became a traveling merchant before being chosen as a RoboRider. Her skills in bargaining, dealing and stock management are incredibly useful for the team, however she often gets them on sidequests and problems in bargains she makes; Zoey can be a little selfish and cynical about people, but is optimistic of the party's success and is good at spotting and taking opportunities. Develops her powers the least, but still uses her earth manipulation to get cheap shots on her opponents. Sha Rakis - Dust RoboRider - the trainee shaman of a nomad tribe in a desert; his blindness from birth caused him to develop his latent wind powers, proving him as being a future RoboRider. He was developed his abilities to be able to sense disturbances in nature, helped by his pet scorpion (the totem of his people), and to get a 3d sonar sense. Sha usually has good advice, but from the moment he could understand he was raised to be a champion of justice and good in the world so he has a poor time relating to people as equals and can seem condescending. Sha is also the best at detecting and dealing with the Robos, having been trained to do so from his earliest days; he usually is in charge of them when they are not infused into a machine. Vizuna - Swamp RoboRider - A former mutant, she is the only person known to be purified of the Virus. This happened when her tribe (Harrowing Hawks) attack the World Tree, an primeval source of jungle magic; when she destroyed it's core, the tree released a burst of it's power; enfusing her with the Jungle essence and making her the Swamp RoboRider and purging the Virus' hold on her (the rest of her tribe was less effected as they were outside the tree fighting off a bunch of a druid defenders, although their feathers became leaves). Vizuna has poor social skills due to being raised in society entirely dedicated to raiding and corrupting the world, and often misunderstands social situations and common objects; however her up bringing has made her the best fighter in the party, physically the stronger and a brilliant strategist (especially against mutants); she also has insights into the Core of the Virus and it's probable weaknesses. Vizuna is compassionate, espcially to mutants and hopes to find a way to cure them all so that they will be free of the Virus' control. Her elemental powers are on the weaker end, but she has a large reserve of magical power and can heal people and cure diseases and pollution. Has a love of flying as all of her mutant tribe have wings which she lost when she became purified. Robos - small machine spirits that the RoboRiders can infuse into machines to empower them (most of the RoboRider's sets would represent vehicles infused with a particular Robo). Most have been scattered over the world after the last time the Virus attacked, meaning the RoboRiders would have to find them. Based off of the original RoboRider Wheels; and the current RoboRiders would only start with a hand full at the start (likely Scout, Fuel, Driller, Rope, Flame and Grab), and the Boss RoboRider has one (Skeleton or Dynamite). Enemies: The Core of the Virus - the ancient source of evil, it constantly spreads it's dark influence on the world with regular accelerated periods every 115 years as it increases production rates. It usually leaves it's war in the hands of the Mutants, but Vizuna's purification have left it twitchy and hands on about the RoboRiders situation. Most of the time it seems to just hate humanity and seems a little jaded by the continual cycle of war that it finds itself in. Is a shapeshifter, usually appearing as a human made of shadows or as a giant floating sphere; true form is unknown. Vizduas - Warlock and younger brother of Vizuna, he is persistent on tracking down and corrupting his sister; partly based on a twisted sense of community that does not like people leaving and being happy or free. Vizdua has many powerful abominations in his personal army (the Hallowing Hawks) and has access to terrible curses and spells as is his right as a warlock. Tends to use flying machines and monsters when he can, but does use land based options occasionally (usually when he has no choice). Has leaves covering patchs of his skin and two large and functional wings as his mutations. Zlammer - an elite mutant warrior hand crafted by the Core of the Virus, he is the strongest of all known mutants. Immensely skilled in combat, ambush and tracking and with mild Warlock powers, he is ruthless in his mission to crush the RoboRiders of this cycle and is fearless to a fault. Seems to have regenerative powers and a new set of mutations everytime he fights the RoboRiders. He is usually silently stoic but will never miss an oppurtunity to make a bad pun; this along with his heterochomia of a completely white eye and a complete black eye are his defining traits. If he creates abomiations to server him they are usually vaguely draconic. Archgeneral Lilliana - another agent sent directly by the Core of the Virus, her mission is specifically to take command of mutant tribes and lead them to victory against the RoboRiders. She is logical, pragmatic and domineering, making her a terrifying general to face in battle. Like Zlammer she is always testing new strategies for taking down the RoboRiders and has amassed several tribes under her control. Her mutations include red skin, three eyes and attenta. Drocsid - a mutant who has few obvious mutations and hides the ones she does have under cybernetics. She likes to infilitrate human settlements and cause problems for the RoboRiders by sowing lies and confusion. Has a personally vendetta with Rufus and Alba as they revealed one of Drocsid's schemes prior to becoming RoboRiders; Drocsid also has a occasional business relationship with Boss Rider, who also wants to take down the RoboRiders for personally reasons. This relationship is complicated by the fact that Boss does not fully trust Drocsid and that she has developed an almost romantic attachment to him - something that is not only rarely seen in Mutants but is seen as an abomination and weakness by them. Boss Rider - a mysterious individual who seems to be able to use the Robos like the RoboRider can; he has no obvious elemental powers but is immune to magical effects and take control of spells and elemental abilities at will. His goal seems to defeat the RoboRiders and activate the beacons himself, becoming the hero of the world. In combat he is cunning, skilled and brave, and can easily out compete any individual RoboRider, but is usually outmatched when they work as a team. His true identity is unknown to most, even to Drocsid, who seems to be his closest ally most of the time. Also has a hook for his left hand. General plotline would be the first year or two dedicated to finding the Beacons and their Switchs, with the RoboRiders finding clues to the Core of the Virus and it's nature. The third and final year would be going into the subterrean world that the Virus has completely dominated and ending it's reign of terror by defeating the Core of the Virus and using it's power to cure all the mutants. Edit: Immediately after publishing this I realised that naming the villain the 'Virus' and talking about it during the current situation may not have been the best choice of words, so I am sorry if I offended or distressed anyone.

  6. I'll be real with you lot, I'm a huge Bionicle fan (just like most of you here are) and I'm wondering, after reading a thread from 2016 asking somewhat the same thing, I'm looking for theories and or any information there might be regarding the return of Bionicle from 2020+ Lego has stated in a tweet about G2's cancelation that a return for Bionicle isn't going to be ruled out of the future. I wanna know your thoughts, is G3 possibly gonna happen within the next few years? While I'm willing to take everyone's opinions, I'm not looking forward to read negatie ones.
  7. So, we've all seen Christian Faber's posts and cryptic comments. My interpretation is that he wants to reboot Bionicle, or make a spiritual successor of some kind, and intends to approach Lego with the idea, if he hasn't done so already. Now, what we might need to consider is that Lego may not want to relaunch Bionicle as a constraction line. So the main product (the sets) may no longer be produced. But what if Faber found a way to remake Bionicle (or a spiritual successor) without the original product? Could it be done with a relatively small story/marketing team, and still be successful? Could it even draw in new fans? And what sort of medium/format should be used to tell the story in this case? I'm thinking it ould be largely largely web-based content, using media such as the following. - Webcomics - Serialised story Podcast/audiobook - Serialised fiction, possibly with an interactive component (e.g polls to determine characters' choices) - Digital stories/picture books with narration - Online adventure game in the spirit of MNOG - Character diaries/blogs -Alternate reality game incorporating hidden clues and codes across multiple websites - Riddles/puzzles to unlock the next piece of the story (Would unlock when somebody submitted the correct solution) Admittedly, a lot of these are borrowed from the original G1's marketing, but I think they have the potential to sustain the story on a small scale budget. Here's another thought: What if, instead of having a full time marketing team, Faber used the new Bionicle to help kick-start the careers of new artists, animators, web designers and writers? And what if some of those people originated in fandom? Competitions could be held to canonise and publish fans art and stories. As well as showcasing other fandom pastimes such as photography, cosplay sculpture and music. It's also worth noting that we live in an interesting time for fandom, particularly in Denmark and the rest of Europe, where a new law might soon ban fanwork altogether. So, having a story in which fans were included and respected as influencers and fellow content creators could be a way of both working around that and transforming the broader cultural perception of fandom and fan works.
  8. This story is set in a rebooted Bionicle Universe, but draws on inspiration from both Bionicle Generations. New chapters will ideally be added on the 1st day of each month, starting on the 1st August 2018, but due to university I'm going to be more on and off. I'd like to thank my sister Jennifer for her suggestions regarding the editing of the story, many of which were taken on board. Please enjoy! Here's a link to a map of the Island of Artakha (where the story will be set): http://www.bzpower.com/board/uploads/gallery/category_3/gallery_117950_3_67602.png
  9. --- Tahu’s Consequence Prologue: Capture In Ko-Metru... I have to keep running. For me. For them. For us. Using his Suva to telepathically connect to his Kakama Nuva, Kopaka weaved in and out of the streets, past oblivious Dark Hunters and Makuta, as he sped towards the Silver Sea. I don’t know why they didn’t tell me. They should’ve told me. Tahu wasn’t the only one who lost Lewa and Gali. Kopaka stopped in an alley to catch his breath. Lewa’s death had been announced years ago with the disappearance of the Mahri. No one seemed to know how he died or where his body was… That’s interesting. They could announce Lewa’s death. But they couldn’t acknowledge the statuses of the Mahri or Gali? I’m starting to see why they didn’t trust her. Checking warily around the corner using his Akaku, Kopaka sped out again, running to the shoreline. He slammed into a wall of protosteel. “Argh!” Kopaka fell to the ground, his vision spinning out of control. “What the--how did I not see this?” Considering that he literally has the Mask of Sight, I’m wondering the same thing. ...we couldn’t even make it two hundred words, could we? Ugh... In NAME AND ADDRESS WITHHELD... Hey, I’m the one who’s supposed to think of some narration to follow up this awfully cheap plot point. And I can’t think of anything that could possibly make this any less cheesy. Why don’t you just READ THE SCRIPT THAT I GAVE YOU? Frankly, that’s no fun. And come on. You’d think that after the second rewrite of this chapter, you’d actually have something reasonable written down. First of all, this is only the FIRST rewrite of this chapter. I added it in the anniversary edition. Hm. Okay. Second, the city’s in lockdown. There’s Dark Hunters and Makuta patrolling the streets. Of course there’s extra added security. Sure. And last, but CERTAINLY not least, you’re not the author of this comedy. Even you were, it wouldn’t fix the problems that you believe exist in it, because you’re the root of every single interruption and detraction from the story that has occurred thus far. ...ouch. I’m really getting annoyed here. You need to calm it down, dude. Are we done here yet? Or do you guys want to introduce yourselves? We’ll save it for a happier chapter, Transition Guy. At the moment, I think Narrator needs to wallow in his own pity and actually do what I tell him to do. Fair enough. Minutes Later, at the Border of Ko-Metru… “Hey! Wake up! I have to arrest you and capture you! Grrrrrrr!” Kopaka’s eyes snapped open. A few feet above him, The Shadowed One bent over, looking down at Kopaka’s face. His face was trying to be terrifying, but the Toa was not fazed. “Really? This huge, stealthy chase scene to escape Metru Nui, just to get caught by you?” Kopaka stood up calmly, staring TSO down. “This isn’t even a defeat in my eyes. It’s quite laughable, in fact. How’s your pizza protodermis rash faring?” TSO blankly looked at Kopaka. “I’m not joking. I’m actually here to throw you in jail. And I mean, it certainly got oily and red, but I squeezed all the dots away. No worries.” “That’s disgusting. You’ll definitely be scarred for life. Thankfully, that won’t be much longer for you.” “What? The dots weren’t long! They were dots!” Kopaka facepalmed. “You doofus. I meant your life.” “Hey!” TSO took out his Staff of Protodermis and pointed it at Kopaka. “I may be dumb, but I’m not stupid!” Down the Road… “He’s so stupid,” Helryx muttered as she heartlessly steered her truck towards Kopaka. “What? I don’t want to kill him!” Helryx turned to the audience. “He won’t die if I run him over! I promise!” Instantly, her fourth tire blew out, making her lose control of the van. The van veered left and right down the street as it sped towards Kopaka and TSO. Kopaka jumped back, hearing the van uncontrollably weave through the last two intersections. Diving out of the direct impact zone, Kopaka shot a sheet of ice into the street parallel to the protosteel shell. The truck exploded upon impact, launching Kopaka ten feet away, sprawling onto the concrete ground. He blacked out. An Hour Later… “Honey! Wake up!” Helryx blinked. For a split-second, she saw that she had landed at the foot of the protosteel wall, which had broken open from the explosive impact. Her feet were hanging off the edge, into the Silver Sea. “Never...again, Teridax.” She stood up, imbalanced from the explosion. Her armor, yet again, was scorched, and she was forty-nine percent sure she had broken her foot. “Where’s TSO?” Teridax motioned behind him. TSO’s body was still. “No...don’t worry, he’s not dead. I’m pretty sure he’s just dreaming about the Link is Dead in Majora’s Mask theory.” “Ugh. I kinda wish he didn’t make it, to be honest. And...Kopaka?” “He’s holding on by a really thin icicle. We’re not sure if he’s going to make it.” Helryx scowled. “That ice joke sucked. And no. We need him alive. He’s the only feasible key I have to find Tahu.” “Oh,” Teridax said, stepping back. “My bad.” “And get back here.” As he continued to shy away from Helryx, she strutted over and clamped his arm. “You’re not any better than them. You’re going to suffer the repercussions of your choices, just as everyone who has failed to support me will. I am ruthless.” To Be Continued… ---
  10. This is where you can discuss Bionicle: Shadows Of Artakha, or offer advice and feedback. Positive or negative, I will happily take it all. Please feel free to follow this topic, if you fancy! Here's a link to the actual thread! http://www.bzpower.com/board/topic/26400-bionicle-shadows-of-artakha/
  11. Allow me to explain my issue. At the moment I have an entire collection of G2 bionicle sets. It's still in very good condition and I am debating with myself if I should sell it or not. I spent hundreds getting the collection together. However much like many things from over the years it nowadays sits in a plastic container like my all my other Lego from 15 years ago. I have been a bionicle fan since the age of around 3 and a half and the series always meant a lot to me. So for that reason I went to great efforts to support it's reboot. However now that the initial excitement for it's comeback has died down I see a lot of the reboot's flaws and don't have as much of a positive outlook on it. If I sell it in it's current state not only can I get a lot of money I can also stop it from taking up space in the future. My older sets are all in terrible condition and as such are tough sells. But there is still some emotional connection for me and I do fear regretting this decision in the future. So I wonder if anyone here has any advice on if I should sell my G2 collection or not.
  12. So back at the start of the Bionicle reboot I purchased a Gali Master of Water (70786-1), I put the set together and for the most part I've just left it on the shelf and haven't really messed with it because I find the new sets floppy and not particularly fun to mess with. However, recently I got back into building mocs after losing pretty much all of my sets several years ago so I decided to pull it off the shelf and mess around a bit, only to discover that some pieces had become very lose. In particular several of the axle connectors (32039) and one of the translucent, short hero factor arms (90612) had cracked in such a way that they no longer produce enough friction to be useful just from sitting still on a shelf in the configuration the instructions specified. Do I just have a bad copy of the Gali set or is this a common issue? If it is a common issue it it just common to Gali or is it common to a lot of the reboot line's sets? I apologize if this is the wrong place to ask this, I am new to the site (literally made an account so I could ask this question).
  13. A pod opens out as liquid protodermis seeps out. A being from a long time ago has reawakened. His body and face are all scarred from battles from long ago even though his body was preserved and reconstructed. A deep and dark computer voice speaks, "Welcome Flaredrick. It has been a while." The battered Toa regains his vision and consciousness. "Where am I? How long have I been out?" "We are in your secret underground bunker where you have been confined to your healing chamber. Roughly a whole year has past since you last stepped foot into this world." The Toa walks up to a console where many screens are showing activity of the outside world. "What happened while I was gone?" "The Mafia is still going on strong, but a new contender has risen. One known as Game of Thrones." "Isn't that a show where different clans brutally manipulate each other and gruesomely kill each other for odd reasons while your favorite character dies?" "Indeed." The Toa scratches his mask in bewilderment. "Who would've known that would be a thing." "They are in their second season as we speak." "Wow! Two whole seasons while I was gone. Time really does fly." "The Bionifight Contest is still going on strong, but mostly they keep calling it Bionifight One." "Why? Couldn't they come up with a catcher name than that?" "Analysis unknown." "What about Hitman? Are they still going?" "Unfortunately, the series did keep going until it dropped from the face of this world. It has not been held since then." "What?!" The Toa's anger flared up as the temperature began to rocket around him. "How dare they not continue such an honored tradition! This is unacceptable!" He slammed his fist onto the console and made a dent into the machine's systems. Then, an idea popped into the Toa's head as he began to calm down. "Computer...launch the initiative." "Re_engaging systems...searching combatants..." "I think it's high time we show the world what a true battle royal is like. Gather the best fighters that this world has to offer...cause in this game...there is no room for the weak to survive." ..... How to Play: In Hitman, the objective is to kill all you opponents until only one is left standing. At each round, all players must PM me their intended target for the round. You must tell me by which means of killing you are wanting to dispatch your target, as well as which Gambler's Shard you would like to use, should you want to use it. Each player will PM me a stat sheet of themselves with resistances ranging from 1-6. No two stats can be the same number. Ex: Sharp Object: 1 Blunt Object: 2 Elemental: 3 Poison: 4 Explosives: 5 Ranged: 6 In order for your kill to be successful, a die will be rolled and if the number rolled is equal or higher than the resistance of the target, then you are awarded a kill. For instance: Hapori Tohu uses heat vision on Black Six. Black Six's resistance to elemental damage is 3, but the die rolled onto a 5. Black Six is vaporized into ashes. Be creative with your arsenal so long as a weapon type is included. When players PM their target for the round, they have the option to use a Gambler's Shard. Rules and regulations for the shards are as follows: Possibility Shard: Die is rolled. If even, likelihood of survival is increased, but if odd, survival is diminished. Iden Shard: Choose a coin outcome. Pick a second target. Upon death (if ever), if your choice was correct, you are awarded the second kill (However, success is not guaranteed), otherwise, no kills are made. Sanok Shard: Choose number between 1-6. Die is rolled. If die lands on your number, then you are 100% guaranteed the kill for the round. Pakari Stone: Choose a resistance. Die is rolled. If even, add the outcome to the number rolled for the kill. If odd, subtract. Hau Shard: Die is rolled. If even, add number to a specific resistance. If odd, subtract. When using a Gambler's Shard, just say in your PM, "I'd like to use Iden Shard," and follow the instructions. Disclaimer: You only have one of each shard. Use them wisely. Rules: 1) All BZPower rules apply 2) Please only use one PM throughout the duration of the game. 3) Do NOT switch up targets mid-round. If I am given a second target (unless by shard), I will ignore your second target and go with your first choice. 4) Please do not complain about the outcomes. I only roll once with a six-sided die (unless it is the final round and the supposed outcome rolled would be everyone dying). 5) Have fun Players: 1: Toa TimeLord 2: Valendale 10: Toa Smoke Monster 13: Blessed Blade 14: xccj 17: Fluorescent Flowers 18:JAG18 24: Makuta Luroka 27: Shadow Vezon Admission is now closed
  14. The hackers didn't mess me up this time Presenting the finalized prologue of my invention, The Adventures of Tahu... --- Tahu’s Transport Prologue: Motives YEAR: 2007 The Toa swam, closer and closer to the hole in the ocean floor. The golden mask shined brightly in his grasp, the mask knowing that its purpose was about to be fulfilled. So did the Toa, swimming further and further away from his team and the Barraki warlords…he’d no need to say goodbye… A blue hand punched through his thoughts and into his head, knocking the Toa away. The owner of the hand, a Toa of Water, gave Toa Mahri Matoro a cold stare as she thrusted her shield down, blocking him from continuing forward. Huh? What was that? Matoro pondered. Why is this Toa here…what is she...the mask! The gold mask drifted away, falling into the hole Matoro had been approaching. Out of sight, the Ignika fell from the skies of Karda Nui into its murky swamps, where it would lay, uninterrupted, for years to come. “You’re ruining my destiny! I have to save Mata Nui! Don’t you even care that he’s about to die? You don’t even deserve to be a T--” The Toa swung her spiked mace into Matoro’s gut, knocking him out instantly. “It’s a shame you don’t care about my destiny.” She looked at her comlink, giving a thumbs-up as she rose into the mouth of the Cord... Inside the Cord… Axonn smiled as he looked at his mistress Helryx, who gave him the signal. “Well, what are you waiting for, Toa? Destroy this blasted cord!” The Toa Mahri did just that, watching Voya Nui fall straight down, crushing the remains of Mahri Nui. Axonn smiled slightly, then unsheathed his axe and smashed it into Jaller’s back, all with his battle cry. “HERE’S AXXIE!” Minutes Later… Helryx cackled, hauling an unconscious Matoro on top of the five other defeated Toa Mahri. “I don’t deserve to be a Toa. What rubbish.” “What rubbish,” Axonn repeated, opening the first of six stasis tubes that the Mahri would slumber in for years to come. Helryx shook her head. “I don’t care that Mata Nui is dead. That was his destiny. Now it’s time to take matters into our own hands. We shall, finally, create our own destinies.” YEAR: 2012 “But…she told you not to go…are you disobeying the orders of the empress?” “I have to, Tahu. It’s been racing through my mind…they couldn’t have just disappeared without not doing their job.” It was a starry night. Five years had passed since Helryx had founded the Orderly Empire, and five years had passed without any answers of the Mahri’s whereabouts. Gali, one of the most trusted members of the Toa Nuva, had grown suspicious of their disappearance, and was preparing to leave for Daxia to ask Helryx for permission to search for them...even though Helryx forbade any mention of them. “Gali,” Tahu put his arm around her, chuckling. “Pohatu and Onua disappeared to play Skyrim when they were supposed to be doing their job.” “I know, but…look, don’t worry about me.” Gali slipped away, walking to the edge of the balcony, turned towards the stars. “You know me well enough…or will I have to find a different—“ Tahu smiled. “You won’t have to—I’m always here for you, Gali…I…I wish I could go—“ “It’d be too obvious. And I know you want to get out of here.” Gali sighed. “I’m sorry, Tahu, but I can’t bear to lose…wait, why don’t you talk to Helryx about that? Maybe, like, a trip to Zakaz or the Southern Continent—“ “You and I both know that’s not what I want, Gali. No, I want to see the world, or even other worlds than this. We could expand the empire, get more resources, meet new people—and I wouldn’t miss it for the world.” Gali blushed. “Neither would I, Tahu. However…that will have to wait until I get back. Save the memories for me, won’t you?” Gali walked out of the apartment, leaving Tahu alone. The two would not meet again for another five years. And in that time, Gali, Tahu’s best friend and “sweetheart” was presumed dead by almost everyone. Note that I said “almost”, not— Narrator, stop spoiling the story! Sorry, boss. Moving on, then… YEAR: 2017 Ten years had passed since Helryx founded the Orderly Empire. Ten years had passed since Mata Nui had died. Five years had passed since Gali left to search for the Mahri. Five years had passed since Tahu was last happy. He had enough. He wanted answers. Answers to why he couldn’t leave to find Gali. Answers to why Helryx had outlawed Nintendo consoles in the empire. Tahu wanted a way out. A way to find Gali. A way out…of the terror he was slowly realizing the empire possessed. To Be Continued… --- Four years to the day have passed since the original comedy ended, and after sequel series, spin-offs, and reboots have tanked, I've finally decided to rewrite the original entirely and give it the level of polish and love I think it deserves. With filled plot holes and more focused humor, I hope this reboot will be something you all enjoy, even if I don't update it as frequently as you imagine I should (I'm quite busy xD). In re-rebooting the series, I've finally moved away from the plain "The Adventures of Tahu" name, because "Adventures" itself is obvious, general, and implies relations with Sonic games that I love to death but are actually terrible creations of our time . Changing the focus to Tahu himself seems so much more simplified and accurate to the premise of the entire comedy. It's not about the adventures; it's about himself and how he grows through his transport, consequences and heroes that he faces that have lasting effects on him. That is what matters. ~MS

  16. I saw this question pop up in the 'Should Stone get the Boot' topic and thought that it could use its own topic to see what veryone thinks about it. That question is simple: Do you think the Toa Mata should be the main heroes of a future Bionicle reboot? I personally don't care either way. As long as it has a good story and gives development to its characters, I would be alright with either the Mata returning or new characters being the main heroes. What do all of you say about this?
  17. Hi, guys! We know that G2 existed and is a reboot, so I would like to ask you a question: what reboot does G2 remind you of? For me, Bionicle G2 reminds me of Transformers toy line reboots and The Amazing Spider-Man movies in 2012 and 2014. Transformers is similar to Bionicle because it is a toy line that rebooted with its own G2, which lasted shorter than G1, and the designs of the robotic characters (the robotic species that transform, including main ones, like Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, and Megatron) look more epic and detailed than their versions from the previous generation. The Amazing Spider-Man movies are similar to Bionicle G2 because the movie series is a 2010's reboot of the original series in the 00's. It also lasted two years and two installments, which is much shorter than the original series. It was originally planned to last longer, but it got cancelled after having mixed reviews (That really broke my heart twice. ). The reused main characters look kind of different from their G1 versions as well. I made a list of other comparisons in this topic that I made: http://www.bzpower.com/board/topic/23229-bionicle-g2-and-the-amazing-spider-man-movies-are-alike/ . That is because I feel Bionicle G2 is more similar to The Amazing Spider-Man than the Transformers toy line reboots. I wonder if Lego took inspiration from TASM for how it was cancelled because Bionicle G2 and TASM are strangely similar? Perhaps Lego knew that Bionicle G2 has mixed reviews, so they took inspiration from TASM in order to make a better reboot (similar to Spider-Man in Captain America: Civil War)? So, there. What reboots does Bionicle G2 remind you of?
  18. BackToBionicle (REBOOT) BackToBionicle was a comic series that i created that is almost 1 year old but sadly i stopped in the middle of it and dint continue later on i wanted to do the comic series from scratch again as a lot has happened since i was doing it the other one and so little things like Guest Stars can and will make it hard later on to do so i wont be promoting applications to be a Guest Star in this case it will make it far easy for me to move along the plots so that's all i have to say about the new BackToBionicle hope you enjoy this new version and thanks for reading it. BackToBionicle 1 Season 1 BackToBionicle 1 Season 2 To be continued Note: 1. If you're having trouble watching the comic on the phone open it in a new tab.
  19. In a hypothetical situation where several years after G2 ends and Lego has decided to make you the lead writer for the next reboot of Bionicle. The question I am posing is this; what sort of new ideas and changes would you make? Some of the things I would do: -Remove the elements of ice and stone. Kopaka would either be a toa of Crystal or Air. Pohatu would be Toa of Wind, if Kopaka is Crystal, or Earth, if Kopaka is Wind, in which case Onua would be toa of Iron. Lewa would remain a toa of Jungle, but with powers focused on plants and no talking to the wind. Overall, there would either be about 10 to 12 elements or only six, but those have sub- elements like the idea suggested here. -Toa are decided by Golden Masks that choose matoran to become heroes. The toa must sacrifice his/her name and take a new one. Jaller become Tahu, Hahli becomes Gali, etc. And yes, the six main toa don't appear on the starting island at the start of the series, but their golden masks do. On a downer note, Golden masks are the essences of Toa who have died, and all other types of kanohi are merely copies of Golden Masks. -Turaga are not Toa who have completed their destiny, but matoran choosen to fill in the role of elder and mystic but a shared conscience between all Turaga when a matoran population does not have enough turaga. They have powers including mask usage, long distance communication and recreating the form of golden masks when one is broken. - Other races would exist, but since the setting has gone through a major war between the Great Beings and Makuta and the world is trying to rebuild itself, these are few and far between. Makuta is a mysterious, otherworldly evil with unknown goals whose corrupted minions, the rahkshi, are trying to bring back and unleash once more upon the world. The Great Beings are a desperate race who constantly try to build new things or upgrade old objects/races/individuals/places/anything-they-can-get-their-hands-on in a desperate attempt to create the prophetized Mata Nui, the final achievement of their species that they will never be able to out do. - 50/50 or close to that gender ratios.

  21. We've been building the Toa, villains, and Rahi of the Biologic Chronicle for years. But now we've lost it all again. After an unfortunate end of the journey in 2010, a reboot last year, and it's end again this year, we've come a long way. Some may say there's no reason at all for the Bionicle line to not be selling to children in this day and age, but I disagree. I believe there's a very clear answer that would be easy for LEGO to whip up and make Bionicle a top dog in their repertoire! We've read and seen it countless times with movies/shows/books, and that's the world of Bionicle. What's truly special about Bionicle is mostly what's not built or in a set. I cannot fathom why this rich resource hasn't been tapped into for a LEGO building set. What I'm talking about, is that LEGO can release building sets for Matoran villages and ancient Matoran cities that have been corrupted by Makuta. (Not to mention the people that live there.) Imagine a child that's new to the Bionicle world, in a LEGO aisle, and knows nothing about the story behind it. You can say that all they have to do is read a book or watch one of the shows, but this is a child holding the hand of their parent/guardian walking down an aisle way that has no idea what a Bionicle is yet. They'll look at a Bionicle and think that it's cool! But at the end of the day, it's an action figure. Yes, an action figure without a build-able world around it. That's immediately a turn off for a bunch of kids. Instead, they'll look at something they know and love already, like a LEGO Star Wars set, or a Batman set. These things are familiar, because they'll most likely know these worlds already. Another big one is a normal LEGO set for making a building with a lot of average people going about their daily business. My point is, is that for the Bionicle line to be saved, it's necessary for the world of Bionicle to be a build-able set released by LEGO. Sets that will entrance children on the aisle way with their imagination. Sets that are littered with the normal people that live there, such as the Matoran. Some might make the argument that a building set wouldn't be Bionicle. You'd be partially right, as it's never been done for the line before, but here's a counter argument: Do you want Bionicle to survive? Also, it'd be pretty neat to finally be able to build the world. (Don't lie to yourself, you know you'd love to.) I'd love to submit this idea to LEGO Ideas, however, I'm not very good with LEGO building. It's required that you have a photograph of the set idea. If you're good at it, you like this idea, then please go for it. I'll be cheering for you. You may just save Bionicle. TL;DR: Making Matoran village/ancient city sets could possibly up sales for Bionicle. Tell me what you think in the comments below!
  22. Let's face it, as unhappy as many of us were with the basic idea of a reboot (myself included), a continuation of the original storyline would've been implausible, as well as impractical purely from a marketing perspective. G1 got extremely tangled and deserved closure, but that is a different topic. Point is, there was never sense in bringing it back from where it left off. However, I am personally still not content with many of the decisions behind the actual reboot and would like to extend a simple question to all of you: How would you have made BIONICLE 2015? Here's my best suggestion: An alternate timeline of the original storyline with massive differences in major plot points during the Toa Mata's stasis inside the Codrex. Granted, the entire "alternate universe" trope did become a bit overused in the last few years of BIONICLE, but bear with me. The basic idea (seemingly, at least) of the BIONICLE reboot was to recreate some of the key concepts of the first few years in a new an unseen environment with brand new characters, as well as (references to) old characters and locations. If the idea of the reboot was to invent a premise for brand new sets with a slightly younger target than originally, the above proposal could have easily worked just as well and many of the old fans would surely have been equally excited about the story, if not more (and I'm betting it would've been more). To better illustrate my idea, here is a sample plot I can think of off the top of my head: The Toa Mata enter the Codrex and remain dormant for hundreds of thousands of years. During their stasis, Makuta Teridax plots to overthrow Mata Nui but conjures a slightly different plan than the one we know. He plays the good guy till the very end, possibly replaces Miserix as leader of the Brotherhood by "democratic" means instead of usurpation. Once Mata Nui reaches Bara Magna, he gives Makuta control over the smaller giant robot prototype. Together they begin to reassemble Spherus Magna and just as everything is going smoothly – WHAM! Makuta shoves Mata Nui forward and Bota Magna crushes his gigantic robot head instead. Mata Nui – betrayed and murdered (or perhaps just comatose?) collapses on the surface of the newly reformed Spherus Magna and the ensuing cataclysm launches the Toa Mata out to the ocean of what was formerly Aqua Magna. Drifting afloat for several hundred or thousand years, the Toa Mata are finally summoned by someone (why not Toa Takua?) and arrive on the shores of Bara Magna, where they assemble themselves and find the planet in turmoil. The old Mata Nui robot has been evacuated and everyone is living as best they can under the tyranny of Teridax. Perhaps the Skrall work alongside him? Who knows! Perhaps a somewhat grim example, but I hope my point is clear. This is definitely the kind of reboot I would've loved to see. Old characters could've appeared with completely new roles and purposes. Every reference to the original storyline as well as every progression of the new timeline would've been a fantastic treat for every old fan. And with the right approach, such a reboot could've still worked with the current means of brand communication (think slightly more childish commercials and storytelling). What do you guys think? Let me hear your ideas.
  23. Hi, guys! I know that Hero Factory ended a year ago. If any of you guys remembered and feel sad about that, this topic may be able to cheer you up. If Hero Factory were to come back somehow, would you want a re-continuation or a reboot? For me, I would love a re-continuation. If the theme were to be re-continued, the theme would be where Episode 9: Breakout, Part 2 left off, as there is a cliffhanger where a mysterious and shadowed villain, whose arm looks like Von Nebula's, opened the Hero Factory plans stolen by Black Phantom. He laughs evilly as he seems to plan to create a Villain or Anti-Hero Factory, which would create evil versions of Hero Factory Heroes, according to Black Phantom and Mr. Makuro. These evil creations could be powered by a substance called Anti-Quaza, which is an evil version of the Heroes' good substance called Quaza. The villain would be revealed as Von Nebula the whole time as he plans to lead an army of Anti-Heroes to destroy that Hero Factory and perhaps take over the galaxy and/or the universe. It is up to the Alpha 1 Team to stop them. The story would be finished after that. The End. When we heard that Universal Studios is planning to get the rights for a live-action Hero Factory movie, this would be a perfect chance for the movie to happen. I got my ideas here a long time ago: http://www.bzpower.com/board/topic/15437-what-would-you-think-the-live-action-hero-factory-movie-should-look-like/?fromsearch=1 If HF would get a reboot instead, I could see that it would be reasonable because Hero Factory seems to be nothing but a memory and it ended a year ago. The reboot would satisfy new fans in the future. Hero Factory G2 could go along Bionicle G2. For the story in the reboot, everything would start all over again, like how Spider-Man movies, Transformers TV shows, and Bionicle got rebooted. It would take place in a new universe, where HF is doing the same drill: fighting evil and crime and stop disasters. The Alpha 1 Team would return and fight either new villains, similar to Bionicle G2, or fighting the old ones from HF G1. The characters would look different in some ways. The Alpha 1 Team would be like this: 1. Stormer, Bulk, and Stringer would be either median or large sets because they are veteran members of the team. Well, I would prefer Bulk looking Hulk-ish, too. 2. Furno, Surge, Breez, Nex, Evo, and Rocka would be either small or medium sets because they are rookies who would then get promoted into veterans throughout the story. 3. Nex, Evo, and Rocka would appear later in the story. I would like to see Zib, Quadal, Mr. Makuro, perhaps Daniella Capricorn and her camera robot, and the G1 villains make a comeback. There would better character development and not-rushed storylines. The media would be a new TV show, where each season has 10-13 episodes, comic and chapter books, and the movie. For the sets, there would be a new building system. Anyway, what do you guys? Re-continuation or reboot? If you choose one, how you would like it to be? Just asking. (Please don't say something like "I doubt any of this would happen" or something like that.)

  25. So, we currently have 5 BIONICLE masks from the reboot that have no story significance thus far. (Trans-Orange Tahu, Trans Tahu, Trans-Blue Gali, Trans-Lime Bull Skull, Gold Grinder/Warrior.) Do you think they will ever have meaning in the story, or will they remain just cool exclusives? Are the transparent Toa masks related to the Skull Villains draining their power? Will Kulta gain power through a Golden Mask? Let me know! I think that the trans-orange Tahu mask and the trans-blue Gali mask are more powerful versions of the Golden Masks. The Golden Masks are apparently made of raw magic and pure gold, and it seems the Skull Villains just strip away the gold, leaving more power for the Toa. I don't think the transparent Tahu mask is anything special, though. Edit: Double post merged. -Wind-
