  1. Hello. I am currently collecting golden Roborider wheels, once included in combo packs of Roborider sets sold in Germany, as pictured below: I know Roboriders is only tangentially related to Bionicle, but I figured this forum would be my best bet at finding any for sale. Please PM me with any offers. For those interested in trading, I have three of the Axer mold (pictured above) and am willing to trade up to two of them for any golden wheels other than Toxic or Stunner.
  2. Hey all! been a while since ive visited here, but figured it was the best place to ask, Ive been collecting the wheels from Roboriders (among other collectibles!) for a while now and came across the one on the right, initially I just thought it was faded or something, but on closer inspection, the eyes are blue instead of green and the yellow seems to be completely absent as well as the red being purple. All the other coloured wheels that ive got with this printing match the one on the left. Is this a known variant? or a printing error or something else entirely? thank you!!
  3. So I've been toying around with this concept for a Robo-riders reboot, and I wanted to post it to see what people think of it: Aesthetic: Post-Apocalypse dieselpunk for the heroes and slightly organic cyborgs for the bad guys. Sets: Standard lego pieces focused on oversized motor-cycle like vehicles for the heroes and monster/vehicle hybrids of the bad guys. Setting: the world of Talos is cursed; every 115 or so years the dreaded 'Virus' returns from the depths of the earth and ravage the world; twisting people and creatures into mutants and monsters, poisoning the air and waters, and animating natural features and artificial constructs into abominations. To combat this, the ancients created four beacons scattered through the land, when the beacons are lit the Virus is banished from the surface and retreats to it's cthonic sanctuary. The beacons were hidden to avoid the mutant hordes of the Virus destroying them; only their four switches can be found and then only with help of the Robo's machine spirits that each know the location of one switch. Each cycle has six heroes chosen, the 'RoboRiders', with different element powers and able to infuse the robos in machines to acts as focuses for the Robo's and RoboRider's combined powers. The current year is 527 of the City of Victoria, and the current team of RoboRiders start their quest to light the four beacons and drive back the virus. Their adventure will involve crossing the know world looking for the missing Robos and lighting the beacons; all the time being chased by the mutants and monsters spawned by the Virus and having to fight them off in Mad Max style vehicle combat. However two complications have occurred in their quest; a mysterious seven RoboRider has also appeared and seems to be trying to take down the current RoboRiders so that he alone can light the beacons; and one of the current RoboRiders is a cured mutant (something thought impossible by most people) who has glimpses of the Core of the Virus, which could now be defeated once and for all, and that ancient evil will not permit this threat to it's existance. Characters: Factions: Victoria: city founded by the leader of a past team of RoboRiders, Minerva Victorio, who was active around 530-527 years before the current team. Tend to serve as a base for the RoboRiders and a stronghold of civilization in these dark times. Has a central position on the known landmass of Talos, and is the most technological advanced city, producing finished goods and power crystals to sell to nomads and other cities. The RoboRider Galvani Victorio is from Victoria. RoboRiders: team of elemental powered heroes that can use the Robos to empower machines; their mission is to like the 4 beacons of North, East, South and West. Current team made of Galvani Victorio, Rufus and Alba Feynman, Zoey MacMidas, Sha Rakis and Vizuna. They are helped by the Robos, 16 ancient machine spirits that each know the location of one of the switches to turn on the four beacons. All current and past RoboRiders are revealed by an incident when their elemental powers are rapidly developed to protect them; for example Rufus fell into a pool of magma and crawled out without taking any damage from the heat. Nomadic Tribes: Tribes that cross the vast plains and deserts of Talos looking for scrap and ruins from lost cities destroyed by past attacks of the Virus. Tend to also animal herders and traders. Have lower levels of technology than the city states, but occasionally have very advanced ancient technology that they scavenged. Rufus and Alba Feynman come from one scientifically focused nomadic tribe and Sha Rakis is from a different desert based tribe. City States: Small city states, some having colonies, that have arisen between Virus attacks. Tend to be focused on a major resource and use merchants to trade. Zoey MacMidas was born in the city of Werner. Sorcerers and Druids Covens: Small covens of magically adept individuals, they have less power than Mutant Warlocks or the RoboRiders but still capable in their own ways (such as being able to locate hidden objects, immunity to the Virus, making healing potion or place curses on evil doers). They seperate themselves from the rest of society and their covens tend to focus around sites of elemental importance; such as shrines dedicated to the past RoboRiders or naturally elemental wonders like the World Tree. Tend to be allies of the RoboRiders but the prominent Ogel familiy seems less willing to help. Virus: an ancient evil that nearly destroyed the world in ancient times. It corrupts people, animals and inanimate objects. People become mutants, twisted beings with most of their good emotions (hope, compassion, trust, etc.) removed and only interested in spreading the virus and crushing all resistance; the most powerful mutants are called Warlocks, who control the Virus' mutation process to turn animals and objects into monsterous vehicles called abominations. Mutants are divided into raiding bands/primitive tribes based on similar mutations and these tribes compete with each other in seeing how much they can spread the Virus and thus corrupt the world, one example is the Harrowing Hawks tribe, who all had functional wings and parts of the body covered in leaves. Vizuna used to be a mutant, but she was latter cured. RoboRiders: Galvani "Van" Victorio - the Power RoboRider - an engineering noble from the power district of the city of Victoria, being a descendant of the city's founder (Minerva Victorio). He is the team leader (by the fact no-one else wanted the position), but has a lot of self doubt in the situation and either takes on too much work for himself or takes on any advice on how to lead, no matter how useless or ill intentioned. However he is a good leader when he doesn't listen to his doubts, along with being brave, loyal and charismatic. Van has the least control of his elemental powers, but has the largest pool of elemental energy and modifies his machines so that he can power them with his Electricity powers. Rufus Feynman - the Lava RoboRider - a member of a tribe of nomadic scientists and twin brother of Alba Feynman. He was crippled in a childhood accident, requiring him to use a wheel chair to move around. However the incident also revealed his fire powers as he survived falling into a pool of magma, and it was his hitting the bottom of it caused his spinal image. Rufus is a talented scientist and engineering, being intelligent, insightful and able to pick up on details; This all allows him all massive level of control with his elemental power, allowing it to be used as blow torch or welding torch. However he is too cautious and overly protective of his team mates. Alba Feynman - the Frost RoboRider - a member of a tribe of nomadic scientists and twin sister of Rufus Feynman. She is energetic and passionate, but is still a brilliant scientist; she tends to design multiple experiments every day and coming up with multiple hypothesis for any new problem the team face. Her elemental power of Ice is less developed than her brother's power, but she is more creative and spontaneous, leading to unpredictable results for her enemies to deal with. Zoey MacMidas - the Onyx RoboRider - born as to an outcast family in the city of Werner that had no claim to a mine shaft. After she lost her parents, Zoey had to make her own way in the world; she surprisingly excelled as a business woman, and eventually became a traveling merchant before being chosen as a RoboRider. Her skills in bargaining, dealing and stock management are incredibly useful for the team, however she often gets them on sidequests and problems in bargains she makes; Zoey can be a little selfish and cynical about people, but is optimistic of the party's success and is good at spotting and taking opportunities. Develops her powers the least, but still uses her earth manipulation to get cheap shots on her opponents. Sha Rakis - Dust RoboRider - the trainee shaman of a nomad tribe in a desert; his blindness from birth caused him to develop his latent wind powers, proving him as being a future RoboRider. He was developed his abilities to be able to sense disturbances in nature, helped by his pet scorpion (the totem of his people), and to get a 3d sonar sense. Sha usually has good advice, but from the moment he could understand he was raised to be a champion of justice and good in the world so he has a poor time relating to people as equals and can seem condescending. Sha is also the best at detecting and dealing with the Robos, having been trained to do so from his earliest days; he usually is in charge of them when they are not infused into a machine. Vizuna - Swamp RoboRider - A former mutant, she is the only person known to be purified of the Virus. This happened when her tribe (Harrowing Hawks) attack the World Tree, an primeval source of jungle magic; when she destroyed it's core, the tree released a burst of it's power; enfusing her with the Jungle essence and making her the Swamp RoboRider and purging the Virus' hold on her (the rest of her tribe was less effected as they were outside the tree fighting off a bunch of a druid defenders, although their feathers became leaves). Vizuna has poor social skills due to being raised in society entirely dedicated to raiding and corrupting the world, and often misunderstands social situations and common objects; however her up bringing has made her the best fighter in the party, physically the stronger and a brilliant strategist (especially against mutants); she also has insights into the Core of the Virus and it's probable weaknesses. Vizuna is compassionate, espcially to mutants and hopes to find a way to cure them all so that they will be free of the Virus' control. Her elemental powers are on the weaker end, but she has a large reserve of magical power and can heal people and cure diseases and pollution. Has a love of flying as all of her mutant tribe have wings which she lost when she became purified. Robos - small machine spirits that the RoboRiders can infuse into machines to empower them (most of the RoboRider's sets would represent vehicles infused with a particular Robo). Most have been scattered over the world after the last time the Virus attacked, meaning the RoboRiders would have to find them. Based off of the original RoboRider Wheels; and the current RoboRiders would only start with a hand full at the start (likely Scout, Fuel, Driller, Rope, Flame and Grab), and the Boss RoboRider has one (Skeleton or Dynamite). Enemies: The Core of the Virus - the ancient source of evil, it constantly spreads it's dark influence on the world with regular accelerated periods every 115 years as it increases production rates. It usually leaves it's war in the hands of the Mutants, but Vizuna's purification have left it twitchy and hands on about the RoboRiders situation. Most of the time it seems to just hate humanity and seems a little jaded by the continual cycle of war that it finds itself in. Is a shapeshifter, usually appearing as a human made of shadows or as a giant floating sphere; true form is unknown. Vizduas - Warlock and younger brother of Vizuna, he is persistent on tracking down and corrupting his sister; partly based on a twisted sense of community that does not like people leaving and being happy or free. Vizdua has many powerful abominations in his personal army (the Hallowing Hawks) and has access to terrible curses and spells as is his right as a warlock. Tends to use flying machines and monsters when he can, but does use land based options occasionally (usually when he has no choice). Has leaves covering patchs of his skin and two large and functional wings as his mutations. Zlammer - an elite mutant warrior hand crafted by the Core of the Virus, he is the strongest of all known mutants. Immensely skilled in combat, ambush and tracking and with mild Warlock powers, he is ruthless in his mission to crush the RoboRiders of this cycle and is fearless to a fault. Seems to have regenerative powers and a new set of mutations everytime he fights the RoboRiders. He is usually silently stoic but will never miss an oppurtunity to make a bad pun; this along with his heterochomia of a completely white eye and a complete black eye are his defining traits. If he creates abomiations to server him they are usually vaguely draconic. Archgeneral Lilliana - another agent sent directly by the Core of the Virus, her mission is specifically to take command of mutant tribes and lead them to victory against the RoboRiders. She is logical, pragmatic and domineering, making her a terrifying general to face in battle. Like Zlammer she is always testing new strategies for taking down the RoboRiders and has amassed several tribes under her control. Her mutations include red skin, three eyes and attenta. Drocsid - a mutant who has few obvious mutations and hides the ones she does have under cybernetics. She likes to infilitrate human settlements and cause problems for the RoboRiders by sowing lies and confusion. Has a personally vendetta with Rufus and Alba as they revealed one of Drocsid's schemes prior to becoming RoboRiders; Drocsid also has a occasional business relationship with Boss Rider, who also wants to take down the RoboRiders for personally reasons. This relationship is complicated by the fact that Boss does not fully trust Drocsid and that she has developed an almost romantic attachment to him - something that is not only rarely seen in Mutants but is seen as an abomination and weakness by them. Boss Rider - a mysterious individual who seems to be able to use the Robos like the RoboRider can; he has no obvious elemental powers but is immune to magical effects and take control of spells and elemental abilities at will. His goal seems to defeat the RoboRiders and activate the beacons himself, becoming the hero of the world. In combat he is cunning, skilled and brave, and can easily out compete any individual RoboRider, but is usually outmatched when they work as a team. His true identity is unknown to most, even to Drocsid, who seems to be his closest ally most of the time. Also has a hook for his left hand. General plotline would be the first year or two dedicated to finding the Beacons and their Switchs, with the RoboRiders finding clues to the Core of the Virus and it's nature. The third and final year would be going into the subterrean world that the Virus has completely dominated and ending it's reign of terror by defeating the Core of the Virus and using it's power to cure all the mutants. Edit: Immediately after publishing this I realised that naming the villain the 'Virus' and talking about it during the current situation may not have been the best choice of words, so I am sorry if I offended or distressed anyone.
  4. Hi, guys! Since Bionicle G2 ended abruptly and rudely in 2016, there is no constraction replacement with an original story by Lego now (Not like how Hero Factory replaced Bionicle G1 in 2010). Let's talk about the history of constraction. The first constraction theme is Slizers/Throwbots in 1999-2000, and it has elements from a Lego theme called Technic. It was replaced by the second constraction theme called RoboRiders in 2000. This theme also ended in the same year. These dudes lasted shortly, and they barely have stories. RoboRiders is replaced by the very theme that we and love, Bionicle G1 in 2001-2010. This one is the most successful and famous of the constraction themes, and it has an epic story. The theme got a lot of media, including four direct-to-video movies, chapter books, comics, online serials, video games, and online games. There's also music videos promoting the theme's certain storylines. The building system in Bionicle changed over time to become better. Sadly, this theme ended in 2010 probably because Lego had money problems in 2010, and its story hasn't ended as it stopped in 2011. It then got replaced by Hero Factory in the same year. Like Bionicle, it has a story and is successful, but it is second most successful of the constraction theme and has the second best story in the constraction themes. The theme has a TV show with 22-minute episodes, online and app games, chapter books, and comics. It also introduced the Character and Creature Building System, or CCBS for short, in 2011. HF ended in 2014 probably because Bionicle came back as a reboot called G2 in 2015. HF had waning successfulness for some reason, anyway. Also like Bionicle G1, HF's story hasn't ended, sadly. As for Bionicle G2, it had online animated videos that tell the main story, chapter books, graphic novels, and a Netflix show with 4 22-minute episodes. Sadly, Bionicle got cancelled again abruptly and rudely in 2016 for some reason (I mean, we just got it back). Well, G2's successfulness was declining, anyway. it's like the Amazing Spider-Man movie series in 2012-2014 all over again. The replacement for G2 never happened in 2017 or this year for some reason. Right now, there are Star Wars constraction still being made nowadays, even though there are a few sets each year. Of course, there are more Lego themes that are sort of like constraction, which are Galidor, Knights Kingdom, and Exo-Force, all in the 2000s. Lego Ben 10 was like that, too. When CCBS happened, many playset themes in the 2010s used it, and they are Super Heroes, Legends of Chima, and currently Star Wars. Ones before Star Wars lasted shortly. Plus, there are some other themes that are like constraction, but they are made of bricks, and these themes are Mixels in 2014-2016 and Nexo Knights' mech sets in 2017. To sum this up, I would say that constraction has been going on from 1999 to 2016 by original Lego themes (It's been like 17 years). It seems that constraction is failing this decade (might explain the Bionicle G1, G2, and Hero Factory's problems with waning successfulness.). Right now, people are interested in Ninjago (this decade's minifgure equivalent to Bionicle), Lego Super Heroes, Lego Movies, and Star Wars primarily. Boy, things aren't looking too good for constraction. The Lego constraction themes were keeping the category alive, but with no replacement, it's getting weaker. We don't even know when will the replacement come. Now, that's where we are going to talk about how would you like the replacement to be if it could happen. So, yeah, how would you guys like it to be? Well, for me, I have some ideas: 1. Something similar to Bionicle by using the building systems in 2001-2003 and 2006, and all figures should have bendable limbs. Don't make them look too weird or faulty designs on the joints (the Bionicle 2016 sets have this problem), and give the sets good color schemes. Also, their final designs shouldn't leave anything out (Bionicle's Caparar and Nuparu Mahri in 2007 have this problem by abandoning their weapons. You could look at Kongu Mahri because he never kept his main weapon, too.). Make all the sets equal in every way, like having all masks in many possibilities (Bionicle G2 and probably Hero Factory has this problem. Not every G2's Toa has a Skull foe to fight or mask to recover, specifically, for example.). 2. If either Bionicle G3, Hero Factory G2, or a completely new theme, it or they should have a good story, as good as Bionicle G1 or Ninjago, and if or they could use references about other original Lego constraction themes for fun. Or A theme that is a constraction equivalent to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, where original Lego constraction themes, Bionicle, Hero Factory, Slizers/Throwbots, and RoboRiders, have a crossover by sharing the same universe and work together to fight evil Avengers-style. Either way, this theme should have humans and Planet Earth in there. If that crossover theme, it would be called "Lego Constraction Universe". Here are my ideas about that, too: - Phase 1: -- First year would be --- Winter - Bionicle - Toa Mata/Toa Masters as the main heroes who can keep their personalities and elemental powers from G1 (Lewa being a Toa of Air again). It's optional to have Pohatu having a Batman-like personality from G2 because I love it. Lol. The main villain would be any Bionicle villain, not a new one. At the end of that storyline, there would a foreshadowing thing that hints crossover. --- Summer - Hero Factory - The first six Heroes as the main characters and can keep their personalities from their G1, not like Invasion From Below (because they were just acting like Stormtroopers from Star Wars). Main villain would be Black Phantom. It would be cool if there are some Bionicle references and Easter Eggs in there, and would still do the same foreshadowing thing. -- Second Year: --- Winter - Slizers/Throwbots - Characters stay the same as their G1, but with an actual story and better character development. There would be references and Easter Eggs from the other themes. Again, foreshadowing thing happening. --- Summer - RoboRiders - Same as Slizers, but also with an identified villain. Again, there would be references and Easter Eggs from the other themes and the foreshadowing thing happening, but this thing hint an Avengers-equse crossover next year. -- Third Year. It would be like the Avengers movie in 2012, where the main heroes from the previous themes (at least Tahu from Bionicle, Preston Stormer from Hero Factory, good-hearted Slizer leader, and good-hearted RoboRider leader. They're all leaders.) working together and form a special team to stop Black Phantom from collecting magical cube-shaped objects, which the themes hinted in the past and found on the heroes' worlds and Planet Earth, to try to take over the whole universe. I picked Black Phantom to be the main villain because I would love to see him as a mix of Avengers' Loki and Steppenwolf from the Justice League movie in 2017 by wearing a horned helmet like those villains and being Hulk-from-Marvel-sized like Steppenwolf. BP would have new villains or minions (from other themes, and not completely new villains) to assist him. There would be six worlds that Black Phantom would travel to to search for the six cubes, one cube in each world, which are Spherus Magna and the Great Spirit Robot from Bionicle, Makuhero City from Hero Factory, the Slizers' world, the RoboRiders' world, and the Planet Earth. The cubes would either be either the Doom Box(es) from Hero Factory's first chapter book or not, and BP would use them for his evil plan to take over the universe. The heroes would have a boss to guide them, whether be a certain Turaga from Bionicle, Mr. Makuro from Hero Factory, or someone else. The heroes would have new looks, like the Toa being in their Toa Uniter forms. The Slizers and RoboRiders would also kind of act like Dinobots from Transformers to other heroes by being clumsily destructive. Lol. End of Phase 1 - Phase 2 -- Fourth year: Bionicle - The Toa Mata becoming Toa Nuva (but Tahu would stay that way in this story this time) and fight against a new villain. Heroes and villains from other themes would appear in there as cameos or with major appearances. This villain would smuggle and use technology from other themes and this one, too. Imagine the Piraka got some stuff from some Hero Factory villains, like Von Nebula or Black Phantom, for example? -- Fifth year: Hero Factory - The Heroes getting their 2.0 upgrade to fight against a new villain. Heroes and villains from other themes would appear in there as cameos with major appearances. This villains would smuggle and use technology from other themes and this one, too. Imagine Von Nebula's or Black Phantom's gangs of villains getting weapons from some Bionicle villains, like the Brotherhood of Makuta, and Vortixx's Xian weapons from Bionicle? Also, add New, Eco, and Rocka in there. -- Sixth year: Another crossover year - The team of heroes go fight against a villain, like Von Nebula, Makuta Teridax, or Velika from Bionicle. If Makuta Teridax, he would be like Ultron from Avengers: Age of Ultron in 2016 by infecting technology. Either of these bad guys would be this theme's equivalent to DC Comics' Darkseid and Marvel's Thanos by being one or two of the heroes' toughest and worst villains. The Toa would get Adaptive Armor from Bionicle, the Hero Factory Heroes would be in their Breakout looks, and the heroes would use each other's technologies to make themselves better in fighting than how they usually do. End of Phase 2 - Phase 3 -- Seventh year - Bionicle vs. Hero Factory - Someone evil made Toa and Hero Factory Heroes fight each other. It would be like Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice in 2016 (but much better) and Captain America: Civil War in 2016. Imagine Tahu, Toa of Fire, and Stormer, Hero who use ice, fight each other like this, for example? Stormer would be like Batman while Tahu would be like Superman. The Heroes would use equipment that use the Toa's weaknesses to beat them while the Toa Nuva use Adaptive Armor and their smarts to counter the Heroes' attacks, even if the Heroes' technology is more advanced than the Toa's. -- Eighth year - Slizers vs. RoboRiders - Someone evil made those heroes fight each other. Same hero-vs.-hero scenario, but with these guys, instead. -- Ninth (maybe final) year - After the heroes got over their wars with each other, they had to fight against their greatest villainous foe, who would be either Von Nebula, Makuta Teridax, Velika, or someone else completely new and responsible for the theme's events just to do his master plan, which is to collect 1-7 magical artifacts that could allow him to take over the universe. It would be like DC Comics superheroes fighting Darkseid and Marvel superheroes fighting against Thanos, even in Avengers: Infinity War coming this year. That would be a big final battle. End of Phase 3 Maybe end of the whole theme because Bionicle G1 lasted for nine years, so I thought it would be okay for Lego to end the theme after this time. I pick the idea of the crossover because Lego is not doing well with making new franchises for the constraction category now (Look at Hero Factory's Invasion From Below and Bionicle G2), so I thought reusing old stuff would make something new out of them. Plus, people wouldn't say silly stuff, like "Stormer is my favorite Bionicle", which is not true about Stormer (a friend of mine once said that. Lol.). I would say that a shared universe like this would be a huge improvement for the old themes and probably the constraction category as a whole. It's called a renaissance. 3. A TV show with 10-13 22-minute episodes per season. No Netflix, and the show would be on Cartoon Network or Disney XD, and the primary source of story that shows character development greatly and better than other media. Make all characters in their sets equal to each other in every way in all media (Bionicle G2 and Hero Factory have this problem. Kopaka never had his mask stolen, specifically, for example). Don't make stuff in the story look confusing, not even to the sets, and don't make too silly. Just have a good amount of comedy and a super-great and dominant amount of action. Also, no unresolved stuff, rude cancellations, or rushing before the theme ends. Plus, a theatrical movie(s), which could be either a Lego Movie with positive reviews this time (unlike The Lego Ninjago Movie, which sort of disappointingly got mixed reviews) or a live-action or 3-D animated movie with human and the Planet Earth, similar to Transformers, but with constraction characters and always positive reviews, like the Avengers. Also, constraction-based Lego TT Games video games with positive reviews (and make every boss-looking antagonists bosses with boss meters, and make the game be open-world, like the Lego City Undercover, the Lego DC Comics games, and the the Lego Marvel games). Online games would include something similar to Bionicle's Mata Nui Online Games and Voya Nui Online Game. The chapter books, comics, and online serials would just be side stories or re-tell the stories from the TV show or movie(s). Do not make sets for characters that aren't too important in the story (Bionicle G1's 2007, 2008, and 2009 characters, like Lesovikk and Mazeka, sort of have problems with that, for examples. However, they can be shown in cameos if they aren't too important). Again, the TV show's great way of telling stories must apply to all of the other media. For the animation or whatever look on the constraction characters, there would be a mix of certain animation styles. They would have realistic parts of their bodies, like the first three Bionicle direct-to-video movies, looking very accurate to the sets, like Bionicle: The Legend Reborn, Hero Factory TV show, and Bionicle: Journey to One, but to the sets' final designs specifically rather than the prototypes (B:TLR and HF have this problem). Make them look 3-D animated, like all four Bionicle direct-to-video movies and HF, rather than looking 2-D-3-D mixed (like Iron Man: Armored Adventures and Transformers: Robots in Disguise in 2015. B:tJtO has this problem.). No drawing-like 2-D animation as the main animation style (Bionicle G2's online animations in 2015 have this problem). Nothing in the media or sets go missing, so everything should be there. Give the constraction characters pupils. Think of this as a Transformers: Prime animation style. For actors in TV shows, I prefer famous ones from Cartoon Network, Nickelodeon, B:tLR, and/or HF TV show (Hero Factory's Invasion From Below episode and B:tJtO have actors that we don't know, and the Bionicle 2015 online animations only have one actor voicing everyone. Weird.). For actors in theatrical movies, use celebrities from the Lego Movies. 4. For the combiner models, give all sets a chance to be in a combiner in every way (Bionicle's Sidorak and Roodaka never combined, which is an example of a problem). All-members-in-a-group combiners should happen, like having all six Toa Mata combine into a Toa Nui, for example. Don't make combiners look too weird, and I would like them to be in the story somehow, like fusion of members of a team. 5. For terms of money, small sets should be $5-7, medium sets $10-12, and large sets at least $15-20 or more. Bionicle G2 has this money problem. Also, bring back the titan combiner sets (Bionicle G1's Takutanuva, Ultimate Dume, Voporak, and Vezon and Kardas are such sets). For the instruction manuals, make the pictures 3-D in at least the small and medium sets again, like Bionicle G1's early years. Also like those years, have manuals show instructions for the combiners again. It would be neat if the canisters are brought back. Don't make the small and medium sets too chunky by amounts of pieces (Bionicle G2 probably has this problem). So, yeah, that's all I can think of. This is an ideal thing for me, and I would like everything to be perfect. I know it's a lot of stuff that I said, but that would do. What about you guys' dream constraction themes, too?
  5. What fan theory would perfectly unite Slizers (Throwbots), RoboRiders, BIONICLE (G1), Hero Factory, and BIONICLE (G2) into a singe cohesive story/universe?
  6. A while ago I stumbled onto a peculiar eBay auction, with a used 8516 "The Boss" RoboRider set, where there appeared to be a booklet advertising the Toa Mata. There was no box included, so I just assumed the seller had mixed their sets up; it happens, right? Then today I saw another auction with the same set in much better condition, original box included, and the SAME 2001 teaser/ad booklet for BIONICLE 2001. Have a look right here. I wanted to ask if anybody knew how common this thing was? As far as I can tell, it's only been available in US packages of the set (maybe in later releases?), which is sad, because I recently bought one from the Netherlands in mint condition, hoping I'd maybe find the little booklet in there. Does anybody also have any idea if it's on BrickLink under any name? I'm having a hard time finding it, and honestly it seems pretty neat.

  8. On your mark, get set! We're riding on the internet! For those who aren't aware, the RoboRiders was one of two predecessor lines to Bionicle, and was launched in 1999 as a successor to the previous (and my personal favourite) Bionicle precursor, Slizers (otherwise known as "Throwbots" in the USA). According to Brickipedia... In regards to build, the RoboRiders were Technic-based, using a range of specialist pieces to form some semblance of a universal system, with two main kinds chassis and a universal front axle assembly. But these days, Technic has largely done away with highly specialist parts, with only a handful of designs breaking that rule. As for action figure franchises, the CCBS has certainly taken the reigns, and likely won't be letting go ever again. So, if RoboRiders were to return (and I'm not implying that it will), how do you think it would be done? Or rather, how would you like it to be done?
  9. Boss RoboRider - Modern Version Built to keep my modern Dust RoboRider company, this 'bot takes cues from the original Boss RoboRider, while being very much its own entity. With working sets of treads with individual shock absorbers, guns which swivel together*, and a streamlined Tumbler-esque design, this is one of my favourite MOCs I've come up with this year. Enjoy! * Demonstration video here. Front 3/4, Guns Raised Front Side Back, 3/4 Back Back, Top, 3/4 Front, Top, 3/4 Chassis Yes, I am aware that this was photographed in my bathroom. Lighting is lighting, yo.
  10. Hey fellas. I'm back with another review: Check it out!
  11. Was it the wrong time? Did Lego not put enough 'effort' into marketing those lines, compared to Bionicle? Or was it just purely the aesthetics?
  12. 'Sup guy, yes. Marvl Nui posted another Roboriders review. Lol. But here it is, my review of Frost: I'm really digging this YouTube thing. But yeah, I'll try to add some sweggy thumbnails in my future videos. Make sure to like, please! It really helps. Stay turned for my review of Swamp.
  13. Check out my very first review of Lava: It's still rending, I think. But it's not too bad.
  14. 'Sup, guys. Just finished another Roboriders Review. Check it out! Sorry about the quality, couldn't get my camera to focus. Slapping that 'like button' isn't abuse.
  15. As the topic says, I'm looking to buy the Japanese promotional, Kabaya sets: 1291- "Yellow Dirt Bike", 1290- "Red Volcano Climber", 1292- "White Ice Explorer", and 1293- "Yellow and Green Swamp Craft". I don't know much about these sets or really the rarity, except that they were exclusive to the Japanese candy company "Kabaya". With that said, the highest I'll pay for one of these badboys is 10$ unpackaged. Of course, we can always negotiate the price.
  16. I know there used to be one, but it appears to have been deleted by now, so I figured it couldn't hurt to create a new hub for discussion and fanworks.
