So after seeing a topic about Bionicle on Ice, I thought a little contest was in order. The challenge: create a Bionicle ice sculpture, like this one: There will only be one winner, and when judging I will take four things into account: - Set choice(s) - Figure pose - Quality (picture resolution and ice clarity) - The name of your entry (references are popular with me) There is a prize for the winner: an MISB 8608 Vhisola. Postage will be covered by me (within reason). Entry period is from now until February 1st. Comment on this blog entry with a link to a photo/photo gallery of your sculpture. Good luck! NOTE: The minimum number of entries required for the contest to go ahead is 15.

Hello all, I have begun an endeavor to create Tren Krom, full scale, poseable, with all the detail of which we know. However, I cannot seem to find a material out of which I could make his enormous gelatinous body. Any suggestions?Zubber is no longer being made, but hopefully someone, somewhere knows of some other sculptable material that comes in red and cures to a gelatinous consistency (very soft rubber). Essentially, I will make a wire frame. i will sculpt the main body mass out of clay, make one tentacle, and mold them both. Using wires to support it, this material will be placed in position and molded.Naturally before I begin anything more than the concept drawing I already have, I need to know I can get the material I need. So, please give me your ideas as to what products could serve this purpose. Thank you!

Front Front Angle Side Back Angle Back Legs Body Detail Abdomen Closed Abdomen Opened Thorax Back Thorax Front Thorax Side Arm 1 Arm 2 Arm 3 Pose 1 Pose 2 Arms Spread Head Top Head Side Head Back Stand Bye! Sorry for so many pictures, but with a large, unorthodox MOC like this it's hard to get all the details into just a few. I'm really proud of this MOC, the complex angles in the thorax in particular. I'm glad TLG made Hordika chesplates, or else this MOC wouldn't exist. I think I used all of mine getting the shapes just right! Thanks for looking, be sure to comment and tell me what you think.
