Pulpintrin A moc born by pure chance, one day I was thinking about how to make a vase using these 4 dark pink round panels, after putting them together the shape reminded me of the rounded head of an octopus, that's how Pulpintrin was born. There is actually one bionicle piece in this moc, I used the reddish brown tip of Vezon's spear to create the flying vessel. 16/09/23

Once Upon a Time... Bonkles Built for the "What if..." Bionicle contest hosted by Ron Folker. For the occasion I decided to use an idea I had in mind for a very long time, I wanted to build an Antibody unit from the cartoon "Once Upon a Time... Life," what a perfect opportunity to use this concept. For the "What if..." factor, I chose to recreate a literal interpretation of how the whole Bionicle concept was created: little heroes fighting evil inside the organism of an actual human being. So the Toa Mata are the members of the antibody unit and Makuta is the vermiform virus, just like in the cartoon. 07/09/22

There doesn't seem to be a topic for discussion of this show yet, despite there being a lot of fans of it here on BZP. And with regular episodes returning for the first time in a long time with the "In Too Deep" event in May and the "Summer of Steven" from June to August, I figured there's no better time than now to start one! So yeah. This can be the new place to talk about Steven Universe, the Crystal Gems, and any other aspects of the show that strike your fancy! To kick off discussion, what are your favorite episodes? Personally, I'm partial to "The Test", "Sworn to the Sword", and "Log Date 7-15-2". I love the episodes that really explore the gems' insecurities as parental figures, and of course you can never get enough of Connie and Peridot! P.S.: If a staff member thinks it's appropriate, could this topic be made official?

Has anyone else watched the old Chinese animated movie, "Uproar in Heaven' (also known as, 'Havoc in Heaven')? I saw this last month and I thought it was amazing. It enlightened me into some Taoist mythology, the music is fitting, excellent choreography for a hand-drawn cartoon, and the art is simply amazing. I mean, look at this scene, it looks like it is from an ancient Chinese painting or something! The Taoist god Nezha combats The Monkey King Sun Wukong on behalf of the Jade Emperor in Wukong's rebellion against the Jade Emperor & Heaven. I just wanted to know if anyone else has seen this work of art and if there are any foreign animated movies similar to this.

Next March, LEGO is introducing a new girl-oriented theme called LEGO Elves! The teaser site has images of the main characters, a video, and a taste of the theme's otherworldly setting of Elvendale. The characters, from left to right, are Aira Windwhistler, Farran Leafshade, Emily Jones, Naida Riverheart, and Azari Firedancer! The four elf characters represent the elements of Air, Earth, Water, and Fire, respectively! Here's a story description translated from the German catalog (pages 46–47): "Join Emily Jones in her exciting journey through the magical world of Elvendale, beginning at a mysterious door in her grandmother's garden. Emily needs help to find the way back home. In order to open the gate to that separates her from her home, Emily must find four keys - but she can only manage this with the help of her elven friends. Learn all the details about LEGO Elves on LEGO.com/elves and download the app, to witness the adventure!" I am so incredibly excited for this theme! It's got a lot of the same magic that drew me to themes like BIONICLE and Ninjago, but wrapped up in my teenage love of magical fantasy races from fairy tales and folklore! I've been saying for a while that what LEGO needed to follow up the success of LEGO Friends was a dedicated in-house fantasy theme for girls, and this one has so far surpassed my wildest expectations! What do you think about this theme?

I've finally had a chance to draw something and It's been awhile since I post anything.... and I've really been slacking off on that comic series. lol Oh well, I'll get to it eventually. Anyway, I felt like drawing a reimagining of Vezon, with a more cursed undead appeal, with some of that Joker-like charm, so please enjoy the "Piraka Prince of Chaos" lol Comments, questions, uh... you know the rest.

Just an experiment to try and draw an '01 set in the '15 style. Huge image, so here's a link: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?i=6195377

Gali Mistika vs Gorast Ok, so I wanted to redo that previous versions of these characters, for various reasons, and I wanted it to be an actual action scene. I ended up trying a very anime style action scene. However, Gali's pose and hair is mostly based-off of Lady Deadpool, because... uh why not? Anyway, I think I toned it down a lot compared to previous one, considering this just an action scene. The damaged armor is suppose to look similar to the Transformers movies, only it's not energon, but green Antidermis energy. (Remember, Makuta are really just armor controlled by evil glowing green energy goo.) Criticism, compliments, concerns? (If there is a legitimate issue. I will try my best to fix it.) (Oh and please no off topic nonsense... so if you have nothing to say about the actual picture then please refrain from commenting.) (Thank you)

Ok, so I wanted to draw two female characters... What? I so happen to like the female form. Just in case you were wondering, yes Gali is blocking... and yes her expression just means she doesn't like insects. I mean, who does right? So creepy... spider-ly hands.... Hahaha... *Oh and do look up Gorast's mask power, it might add some better context to what's going on in this picture. (Note... I totally did go back and changed a few things... Hahaha... I realized that the original version of this picture was a bit too detail for the younger views of this site, so I toned it down a bit.)

Second Try... only with Matoro's Inika form. Again I was lazy when it comes to shading it.... but I did use poses from a pictures of Kirito GGO, so this one is much more dynamic looking than my first try. Criticism or compliments, feel free to be as brutally honest as you wish, because a shadow of truth never killed anyone...

Behold! Matoro Mahri I wanted to try out my wacom pad, and I think I got the hang of using the drawing pad. It's not bad for a first try at it. However, I don't know why he ended up looking similar to kirito in sword art online season 2, you know kind of feminine... but heck, it's not my fault his set design has feminine features. Anyway, I got lazy by not adding shading like I normally would, but I might do that later. This took about 1 hour and a half to complete. I'm still new at using my wacom pad and the Manga Studio Debut 4.0 program it came with. So practice makes perfect... I guess? Criticism or compliments, feel free to be as brutally honest as you wish, because a shadow of truth never killed anyone... (Oh and here's a link to a voice audition for Matoro, which inspired me to draw him in the first place.)

Here is Cartoon Style of Av-matoran Takua and here is Hali. Oh... please note, I just realized that I accidentally messed up the legs of the 3d model, I'll have to fix it later and rerender everything, but I can't do that right now, so try to ignore the deformity in his legs. Questions... comments? Oh and just for fun here is "Chubby" Takua my mascot. Here's all three of them (from the other topics) rendered.

I am the member of a group that is dedicated to mining the goldmine that is the Bionicle story. However, in order to do that, we need to get more people back into the series. We're not really trying to revive it (though we wouldn't necessarily be against the idea if it did), but we do want to at least get more people interested. We decided we want to make the show targeted at the original target audience, while keeping it open for older audiences, like ourselves. Our first idea: make a cartoon. It's not a television show, but it would be uploaded to the internet and shared. Our current problem is that we need animators. We want to get them before we start coming up with story ideas, so if you know how to animate/draw cartoons, please contact me! We could really use your help. Thank you~ ~Tobi

I am part of a group that is trying to mine the gold from the gold mine that is the Bionicle storyline. One of the things we are considering is starting a cartoon series, and we were wondering if there was anyone out there who was good at making animations that might be willing to help us in our cause? :DWord of notice, the group head is thinking about easier ways to make shipping possible. So keep that in mind. But if you're interested, please reply.~Tobi

Hi guys,I thought i might try a different style for a change, so here goes:Dwanny Nuva: Wears the kanohi Arte (pronounced Art - Ay), the mask of dream realisation. He also wields a Pensul, a mighty weapon used for concentrating his power.First i thought i might do a toa drawing test, then it turned into a coloring test, and then it (d)evolved into this. :PThe main reason i inked it is because of the irony of a toa wielding a pencil, and so i decided to give it a rather cartoony look.Dwanny's Tips:To give something a cartoony look, try using smooth, curvy lines. Inking them also helps the "cartoon effect" along. Also, try using bright, bold colours.P.S. the colours didnt come out very well, i know. I think my scanner hates me.Criticism appreciated,-Dwanny
